An anxious hush fell over crowd again as Torsten looked at her quizzically.
"We're all family here, right?" Helena turned to address the crowd. "Music and audience need each other to survive, like lovers."
The crowd cheered in agreement as she looked back at Torsten with a wide grin.
"Well, our family is growing. You're going to be a father, Torsten."
This time, it was his turn to cover his mouth in shock. The crowd exploded into its largest chorus of cheers since Torsten first stepped onto the stage. Pure bliss surged through him like a tidal wave. He promptly dropped to his knees and gently placed his hands on either since of Helena's abdomen. As she wrapped her arms around his neck, he tenderly kissed her belly.
Tears misted his eyes at the thought of his child growing inside her, nurtured and held in the body of the bravest, strongest, and most beautiful woman he knew. The woman who loved him as the flawed, arrogant but loyal prick he was, not just as a rock star.
The mixture of cheers and "aww"s faded to white noise as Torsten looked up at his beaming wife-to-be. Years ago he begged for any higher power to let him live for one more day. Now he could not possibly ask for anything more.
He stood and kissed Helena again, wrapping her in a deep embrace. They had been part of each other since that night she broke into his hotel room, but now their child would be tangible proof of that unbreakable bond between them.
Shamelessly, he grabbed her right ass cheek and squeezed hard.
"Wait for me backstage on that couch like our first time," he snarled into her ear. "After the show, I'm going to tear up that pussy and get you pregnant again."
Thank fuck she switched off the microphone.
"Ha! Not possible. Stick to music making, Dr. Torsten," she teased. "But this pussy is always, always yours. Forever."
"Mmm, that's my woman."
Helena gave him one final kiss before pulling away. "Have a good show, baby."
"Take care of both of my babies." To the delight of the crowd, Torsten delivered a final slap to her ass that made her jump as she walked off stage.
He held the microphone to his mouth and turned to address the crowd again.
"We love you all. Thank you for being the best fucking homecoming crowd. Now make some fucking noise tonight! Because my child
be born with heavy fucking metal in its heart."
