I knew he'd never give me up and in some respects that admission should have scared me, but it didn't because deep down I liked that he'd never give up on me. “I know.”

We lay together in silence until I got cold.

“You're shivering, we should go back inside.” His hands swept down my back in a brisk motion, attempting to warm me up.

I smiled into his chest. “We've wasted your wine, though.” I glanced down at the bottle and abandoned glasses.

“It's not wasted at all! I'll re-cork the bottle! Let's get back inside, it's after 8pm!” He let me go from the embrace and I got up, it had been an interesting evening, I felt like I knew him a bit better now after his confession. We headed back inside and I felt warmer already.

Just as we headed into the kitchen his phone started to ring.

“One second.” He smiled at me as he pulled his phone from his pocket, his face serious. “It's work!” He rolled his eyes.

“Jack, what is it?” He was curt.

“Shit! I'll have to video call him! I want that set in motion! I don't care! Text when it's set up!” He cut the call and put the phone down.

“Everything okay in the world of business?!” I wondered what was wrong because he was looking like business Cameron.

He sighed. “It's to do with renewable energies I was talking about the other day, my main man on the job has gotten wind that the government are cutting vital funding grants earlier than planned to all the companies that actually build the onshore wind turbines! I need to work out if it's still viable or not! This isn't great news! It could mean a lot of people losing their jobs if this does happen and we have to pull out.”

He actually looked stressed.

“That's insane! Why would they cut that funding?! Is it for all renewables or just the turbines?!” My brain started to tick over, maybe he could forget the whole wind turbine stuff and go for something else.

He studied me with interest. “You actually want to know don't you?! It's not just being polite!” It seemed to be a revelation to him that I should be interested.

I grinned. “Yea, I do! I find it ridiculous that the governments of the world over are more interested in investing in more nuclear energies and reaping the earth by fracking for Shale Oil when we can utilize what nature gives us! The sun, the wind, the water, on and off shore! With very little negative impact on earth! Screw people not wanting to see them blight the country or whatever!”

His face lit up. “Fuck, that's it! Offshore! Utilize the sea power! You might just have saved this venture!” He grabbed me and kissed my forehead. “You're a genius!”

I giggled at his enthusiasm, but my chest swelled with pride. “Well, I'm glad to help!”

His whole face was animated. “This is genius, oh yes, oh I can see this working! I want you in on this since it was your idea! I would actually like your input the whole way through!”

“What?! Oh.” I wasn't sure what to say, he was pacing around all excited.

“Do you not want to work with me on this?! I know it's probably not your thing so it's okay.” He stopped pacing around. I pulled a face.

“It's not that I'm not interested cause I am but is it a good idea?! I mean your company might not like it!”

I shrugged.

He smirked a lazy smug smile.

“Baby, I own my company! There is no board, I hire and I fire! You are a bright young woman and I’d like your input! Just come to the next meeting about this and if you don't like it, you don't have to do it again!”

What was the worst that could happen?! I could do that, I could actually have a say and help make changes to how we got electricity! “Okay, I'll give it a go!” I grinned at him.

His phone beeped and vibrated on the counter top. He picked it up and scanned the text.

“You will be great! I know it! I'll get it sorted! I am gonna have to video call my man on the ground about the cut though, and the new idea, but I'll come lay with you in bed till you fall asleep then go and sort it out! I may be some time before I join you in bed so I hope I don't wake you up.” He held his hand out for mine.

I smiled as I placed my hand in his. “I don't care if you do wake me up.”

He grabbed his phone and slipped it into his pocket.

Once in his room, he pushed back the duvet as I slipped out of my sweats and padded to the bathroom to clean my teeth and wash my face.

I came back out to find him laying on top of his side of the bed waiting for me.

I paused for a second watching how his long legs stretched out, he looked wonderful in repose.

My guy... He's all mine. He's never been anybody's before...

The thought made me deliriously happy.

I closed the bathroom door. The room was now dark aside from the light spilling in from the hall and the city lights.

I stifled a yawn, suddenly tired. It had been an insightful day for all sorts of reasons.

I walked around the bed and climbed in but instead of facing to the left I turned and faced him. I wanted to watch him for a while.

The smile spread across his face. “I shall enjoy watching you fall asleep, that'll be new, I like it!” His fingers stroked down my face.

I smiled into his touch. “I'm glad you have let me into your life, into your bed, into your personal life! I feel happy.” I yawned widely. “Sorry, tired out.” I must have been after 9pm now and I was for once whacked out from all the walking and talking not to mention all the food! I'd never eat that regularly and I was finding it made me tired when I eat large meals in the evening.

“It's okay, I know it's not a reflection of my company! We've made progress today and I am glad you understand me some more and I'm pleased you didn't run! I adore you Miss Watson and your sleepy self is very sweet but sleep now. I will stay a while longer.” He tucked the duvet around me and stroked my hair.

I blinked at him. Too tired to speak my eyes were sore from looking at him and fighting the inevitable my eyelids snapped shut. “Stay... I won't run.”

“My love, I will always chase you, but I'm glad you're here.”

I murmured, his name sleepily in reply to him, not sure if I'd dreamt him say it or not.

chapter 34

I turned over in bed, even in my sleep, I was searching him out, but as I turned I rolled right over and landed face down into his pillows. I woke with a start. “Oh.” I mumbled, confused as I looked around the room, Cameron wasn't anywhere to be seen, I snuggled back under the duvet, he was probably in the bathroom, but as I studied his pillows it was clear he'd not been back to bed. I frowned surely he can't still have been in the video call?!

What even is the time?!

I glanced at the digital clock on Cameron's bedside table, the little blue digits blinked 1.55am. Where was he?! I was actually worried. Why was I worried?! I had no reason to be but I was so I pushed back the duvet and climbed out of bed, as I walked into the hall it was pitch black, the doors to the city side had been pushed to, I guess so he didn't disturb my sleep. My heart beat funny in my chest as I pushed it open and stepped through, light flooded the hall and made my eyes hurt.

I crept slowly to his office door, if he was still in the video conference I didn't want to disturb him, but his office was silent as I pushed open the door and stepped in. My heart caught in my throat as I saw him slumped over his desk.

Fuck. Cameron... Oh no...

I felt the anxiety creep up from inside, unfurling playing tricks with my imagination.

What if he's dead?!

He could be...

No. No he's fine...

My Cameron is fine! Why am I thinking this?!

I strode over to his desk and the relief flooded me. I could hear his soft breathing.

In. Out. In. Out. His head was on his arms. His laptop had gone into sleep mode. I let the breath go I'd been holding as I walked around to his side of the desk.

“Come on Mr. Sleepy head.” I stroked his shoulder softly.

He stirred momentarily. “Hmm, not now Jones I'm busy.”

I giggled softly. He was a sleep talker.

As I moved nearer to him, he moved his head and the laptop blazed back into life making me blink. I studied the screen as it came back on, he had a file open that seemed to be full of photos of Sean. I hardly recognized him in the most recent photos. He looked like shit. His hair was messy and he had grown a bit of a beard. I felt a pang of concern for him. Why was Cameron keeping tabs on my ex?! Had he had the order served on him yet?! Maybe that was why, but right now I was trying to wake up my sleepy boyfriend so he actually slept in his bed and not at his desk.

I shook his shoulder more vigorously than before. “Cameron, it's time for bed now.”

He moaned. “I can't, I've got a girlfriend! She's special and she's not running from me!”

I grinned from ear to ear forgetting Sean.

I kissed the back of his neck. “Come on sleepy head, your girlfriend would very much like to take you to bed!”

He jolted awake and sat bolt right up and stared at me confused for a few seconds.

“I missed you.” I said shyly as his eyes wandered the length of my body. The way he looked at me inflamed my bones.

“If you keep looking at me like that I'm gonna have to take you here and now!” He swung the chair around to face me.

I licked my lips as an image of me riding him popped into my mind. “Maybe you should take me here and now.”

He grabbed my hand and tugged me into his lap. “Oh, I will! Take your top off and let me look at your glorious body.” His lips brushed my ear and I clenched as he grabbed the hem of his own shirt and yanked it over his head.

I didn't hesitate on doing what he'd asked, I actually liked the way he looked at me, he made me feel sexy so I slowly pulled the hem of my shirt up and over my head letting it fall to the floor. He sat back and watched me, his eyes lingering over every visible inch of my body.

“Oh, Evangeline you are a work of art that I wish to study in fine detail.” His hands swept up my sides, his fingers inflaming my skin in their wake.

My breathing was hitched now. “Hmm, really?! Well, I don't think you would be allowed to fondle the ass of any other work of art!” I grinned into his neck as I leant over and trailed open mouthed kisses from his chin to his collar bone as his fingers ran down my thighs.

“Indeed, they would not! I want to take you from behind, have you done that before?!”

I shook my head. “No, uh will it hurt?!” I blushed a little as I asked.

He smiled at me and shook his head. “Baby, I'll be entering you from behind, it's not what you might think! It just means I have access to that beautiful ass of yours! It’ll feel pretty good for us both, but only if you want to.”

“Oh, I thought you meant something else... Well, I'll give it try!” I grinned coyly.

His mouth made an O shape and his hands stroked my breasts. “Oh no anal takes a long time to build up to! I won't ask you to do that unless you want to! For now, I'm happy to take you any way I can have you!”

I closed my eyes as his fingers worked my nipples.

Had he done anal before?! With one of his 7 I guessed. I wasn't down for that so I hoped he'd not be keen to give it a try anytime soon.

“It's past 2am... And we're gonna have sex in your office! I do hope your webcams off!” I giggled.

He reached behind me and I heard him snap the lid of the laptop down. “Just in case!” His mouth met mine and I kissed him hard, my tongue dancing against his. I was tinder and he was touch paper, he set me alight like I had never felt before. We both pulled away from the kiss breathless.

“Stand up and turn around, brace yourself against my desk, I want to remove your knickers.”

I scrambled out of his lap, I surprised myself at how keen I was to do this. It felt so naughty, in the middle of the night in his office. The simple answer was though that he was mine, he was everything I had ever desired a man to be, responsible, controlled, decisive, solid, immovable. He didn’t let me lose control, or self-destruct, I loved him and I needed him desperately for that.

“Stand with a wider stance for me darling.” I felt his foot slide my right foot over as I braced myself against the desk.

His fingers brushed over my sides as they hooked into my panties and started to slide them down my legs. “You look glorious from behind.”

I closed my eyes as I felt myself throb. His hands lifted each leg one at a time to remove my panties. I sucked in a breath as his nose skimmed the back of my left leg all the way up to my backside.

“You smell good too!”

Oh sweet hell.

He stood up behind me, running his hand from under my ass all the way along my cleft, his fingers circling my clit.

“Oh please.” I moaned as I gripped the desk edge and pushed my backside onto his erection hidden under his jeans.

“Not yet, be patient.” He smiled into my shoulder as he kissed it, biting and sucking over my left shoulder blade as he slipped a finger inside me and I cried out.

“You're so ready for me baby, we are made for each other!”

I pushed my ass backwards into his erection again and wiggled it against him. “Please Cameron.” I clenched around his fingers, rolling my hips.

“Tell me what you want!” His fingers rubbed my cleft, making me squeeze my ass.

I gritted my teeth the feeling of his fingers inside was starting to make be build. “You. Inside. Me.” I said each word slowly because I was trying to process all the sensations my brain was firing off. He removed his fingers and stepped back, leaving me wanting. My breathing was rapid as I heard him unzip his jeans and kick them off, he stepped back and positioned himself behind me, his cock pressing between my ass cheeks.

“Lean over the desk just a little more for me darling, that's it.” He stroked my hair as I leant over the desk.

“You ready Evan?!” His hands held my hips.

“Yes, Cameron.” I gripped the desk and waited.

“Ah.” I moaned as he grabbed my hips and pulled them back as he plunged all the way into me. He was a tighter fit from this angle, but he felt so good.
