‘Dominic, please, please. The sofa.’ Her breath exploded in little hot pants. ‘I need you
now
!’

He tensed. How many times had he responded to her pleas and fucked her until neither of them could move, until their lungs ached for want of breath, until his dick felt like it had been driven over by a truck. His jaw clenched and calling on a lifetime of restraint, he whispered, ‘Soon, baby. Give me a second.’

Brushing her hands aside, he leaned back marginally to gain better purchase, then pushed in a second finger, slowly stroked her throbbing sex – gently, faultlessly, teasing her G-spot with each pass, waiting until he heard her hot little gasp, before resuming the rhythm. His thumb in sync, circling her clit in slow, lazy circles the way she liked. ‘Better now?’

She didn’t answer, and for a moment he considered forcing her to reply. But he reminded himself to behave. This was for her.

Was it possible to simply melt away in a frenzy of lust, Kate dreamily reflected? Was it possible to just dissolve
into a puddle of simmering desire? Was this what dying of pleasure meant, this delicious, heavy ache between her legs? Then Dominic touched her deeply again, and she rose into his strong fingers, her breath catching at the dizzying rapture, the intoxicating pleasure rippling outward from his exquisitely placed fingertips.

When she finally took a breath, as though waiting for his cue, he slowly withdrew his hand, gently caressing her G-spot on the way out. And at the last when only the pads of his fingers touched her, he twisted his wrist and pressed his thumb down hard on her swollen clit.

A jolt of white-hot lust flared through her senses, stars exploded before her eyes, her body quivered in joy. And the world was suddenly awash with endless rainbows.

‘Like that?’

His voice was teasing, raspy and low. His hand was softly pumping again, his thumb lightly brushing her clit in his own special hand-jive post-rainbows. And the entire universe of erotic sensation was melting between her legs, hot, feverishly hot, expectation singing in her ear like a heavenly choir. ‘You know what I’d like more?’ she murmured, super politely, seeing how he’d recently delivered the wonders of clit-propelled rainbows.

‘Hmmm?’ He was sliding his free hand under her short jacket, intent on not answering her question, intent on shifting her attention from what she’d
like more
. Placing his large hand over her breast, his fingers splayed wide to capture the entire lavish tit, he flexed his fingers so they
pressed gently into her soft flesh. Then not so gently. Then not gently at all.

Kate groaned deep in her throat – an unmistakably carnal sound as Dominic well knew, it was a feverish, cream-her-pussy utterance no matter it escaped in a soft, wispy breath.

Her interest diverted to more riveting sensations, he bent his head briefly and grazed her nipple with the tip of his tongue. ‘You like it to hurt just a little, don’t you, baby?’

She shook her head.

He tightened his grip, held her gaze.

‘Yes, yes,’ she whispered, her eyes half closing.

‘That’s what I thought.’ Relaxing his fingers, he slid his hand under her breast, raised the heavy weight, gripped the plump flesh just hard enough to draw her slightly forward. He paused, her nipple a hair’s-breadth from his mouth. ‘Tell me when it hurts too much. Look at me, Katherine. That’s a good girl. Speak up if it hurts. I might stop.’ He smiled. ‘Understand?’

His words only further inflamed as he knew they would and trembling with need, desperate for release, she opened her mouth to reply, hesitated under his cool gaze and prudently said, ‘Yes.’

His fingers tightened, crushing her breast.

She shuddered.

‘Too much?’ But he didn’t relax his grip. Instead, without apology, he took her nipple in his mouth and with a brute pressure because he knew and she knew what it did: it sent
a flood of flame-hot sensation streaking downward to her wildly pulsing cleft.

She softly groaned, closed her eyes, lay back against the chair and quietly trembled as ravenous desire tore through her body, flared, throbbed like a drumbeat in her greedy sex. Her demanding, impatient, seething sex. Her unapologetically needy sex.

But each time she began to peak, he gentled his touch, letting her frenzy calm. Making it last, making her pant and squirm and plead. Doing what he did so well.

Although with Katherine there always was a point of no return. And when her eyes suddenly snapped open and she looked at him with a prickly green-eyed stare, he smiled. ‘Relax, baby. I’ll get you off now.’

‘I – don’t want – that.’ Twisting her fingers in his cornflower-blue tie, she dragged him close. ‘I want to feel you –
inside
me.’

‘In a minute,’ he lied, prying his crushed tie free, quickly withdrawing his fingers from her heated body, sliding his hands under her legs, and easing them over his shoulders, Then bending low, he blew a soft ‘
Hello kitty
’ on her slick pussy. ‘Go time, baby.’ His voice was warm on her flesh for a second before he looked up and grinned. ‘Try not to scream.’ Before she could complain or take issue or give him orders he had no intention of following, he opened her sex with his fingers, dropped his head, closed his mouth over her swollen clit and sucked.

Not too hard, not too soft. Nor too fast, or slow.

The Three Bears equivalent of
just right
instead.

For a hovering nanosecond, her expectations quivered in limbo; she wasn’t sure she’d settle for this when she wanted
him
. But her long dormant passions shrieked,
Are you crazy when this feels so fine!
, her orgasmic receptors feverishly agreed and every bare wire nerve ending wildly sparkled and flashed its consent. That Dominic had just devoted a little extra attention to her G-spot couldn’t be overlooked in her decision making. The world began drifting away, nirvana rose on the horizon in all its golden glory and Kate whispered with genuine gratitude, ‘Oh God,
thank
you …’

Dominic looked up briefly. ‘Thank me later, baby, when I deserve it.’ He knew how to make it better. He’d spent a decade or more mastering degrees of better. ‘See if you like this.’ His lips closed again on her throbbing clit, and he caressed it with a delicacy much-practised and richly appreciated in his former life. He knew with charming precision how hard to suck, how much and how long, the exact rhythm for the appropriate level of arousal. And when, as he intended, Kate was soon whimpering in desperation, he twisted his head slightly, slid his tongue up to her G-spot and delicately sweet talked her little pleasure centre until she was running wet and ready to collapse from the joy of it.

Then Dominic added first one, then two fingers into her slick warmth, forcing them in a slow, exquisitely slow invasion to that incandescent point where nothing mattered but glorious, beautiful, maddening lust. Cosmic bliss flooded her brain, and with the clarity of empirical evidence, Kate
indisputably understood that great sex wasn’t always about hard dicks. ‘Ohmygod, I’m dying …’

Having learned long ago that great sex was a journey not a destination, Dominic recognized as well that his wife’s
dying
frenzy meant he didn’t have much time. Raising his mouth a fraction of an inch, his breath warm on her sex, he said, unnecessarily, ‘Done playing, baby?’

She was beyond the point of answering, the tidal wave about to crest and, reaching out, she seized two fistfuls of Dominic’s hair and dragged him close. Pushing into his hand and mouth, she panted as the little pulsing shock waves accelerated wholesale, spiked, raced up her spine at warp speed and spun her irrepressibly to orgasm.

Dominic heard her take a deep breath – knew what that meant. He glanced up through his lashes, smiled faintly against her succulent flesh, sucked her enthusiastic little clit more slowly, massaged her sumptuous G-spot with a degree more pressure. And a second later, just as Katherine’s orgasmic scream was about to explode, he reached up blindly with his free hand and placed his fingertips lightly over her mouth.

Gently warned, she gasped, choked down her scream, flattened the vehemence and uttered little explosive groans as the deep, throbbing delirium stretched and spread, tantalized and penetrated every quivering, long deprived orgasmic nerve in her body.

Dominic didn’t stop doing what he was doing, nor relinquish
his precious sense of place until her soft moans finally evaporated into silence.

A rapping on the door shattered the hush. ‘Do you need help, Mrs Knight?’

Dominic turned his head, his dark hair brushing Kate’s thighs. ‘Thank you, no.’ His voice was curt.

‘Oh shit,’ Kate breathed, incapable of opening her eyes with pleasure still washing over her in soft waves.

‘Don’t sweat it, baby,’ Dominic whispered, lightly kissing her smooth, silken thigh. ‘No one will say a word.’
He’d see to it
. Motionless, he waited for Katherine’s orgasm to completely fade, wanting her to feel every scintilla of sweetness after so long.

She finally opened her eyes. ‘That was … so … perfect.’ She ran her hand over his ruffled hair. ‘Thank you.’

He raised his head, brushed his hair off his face with his left hand. ‘You’re welcome, baby.’ He winked. ‘It’s been a while for you.’ Sliding his fingers from her soft-as-silk pussy, he eased her legs off his shoulders, set her feet on the carpet and rolled back on his heels.

‘For you too. Let me,’ she took a breath, leaned forward, stretched her hand out and touched his fly.

He moved out of reach. ‘I have an appointment.’ He glanced at the clock. ‘Morgan. Five minutes.’

‘He can wait. You didn’t have any fun. I feel guilty.’

He smiled. ‘How guilty?’

‘Not very,’ she said with a grin, still wallowing in delight.

He laughed. ‘That’s what I thought.’ Gracefully rising
to his feet, he shot her a warm, teasing look. ‘I love that my baby’s back on form.’ He quickly rolled down his shirt sleeves. ‘Hot, sexy, impatient.’

She smiled, wiggled her skirt down her hips. ‘Your turn next time.’

‘Sounds good.’ Bending over, he picked up her panties and dropped them on her lap. ‘And don’t worry about Christina. No one will say a word.’ He’d make sure of that.

‘I hope I reach your level of dégagé someday,’ she said, slipping on her lacy panties.

‘Stick with me, baby. It’s inevitable.’ Turning, he walked away, picked up his jacket, slipped into it, ran his hand down his wrinkled tie. ‘You decent?’ He shot her a glance.

She grinned. ‘Clothes-wise, yeah.’

‘Hold that thought, baby. We’ll check it out at home. Now I’m unlocking Christina’s door.’ He used his left hand, then blew her a kiss and opening the door into his adjoining office, disappeared.

‘Sorry I’m late, Morgan,’ Kate heard him say. ‘Katherine and I were having lunch. There was a little too much mango salsa on the sandwiches. Let me wash my hands and I’ll be right with you.’

*

As soon as his meeting was over, Dominic went to talk to Kate’s assistant. If Christina was a voyeur, she was going to have to go.

Entering her office from the outside corridor, he walked up to her desk so his voice wouldn’t carry. Without reference
to her earlier interruption, speaking softly so his voice wouldn’t carry, he said, ‘Mrs Knight is to be treated with discretion and respect. I just wanted to make that clear.’ He used the formal designation for Katherine to underscore the courtesy he required.

‘I understand.’

‘She’s not to be embarrassed or discomfited.’ His voice was brusque, his gaze cool. ‘No exceptions, no excuses.’

‘Certainly, Dom – that is, Mr Knight.’ The culture had always been informal rather than corporate at Knight Enterprises. But she’d obviously just been reprimanded and opted for a more respectful tone.

‘Good. See that you remember that.’ He turned and walked away, the corridor door closing behind him a moment later with a soft click.

Damn, the office pool was going to have to pay out
. Dominic had just taken himself out of the game. In no uncertain terms. Every female employee was going to be devastated. Not that he’d ever hooked up with members of the staff, but that didn’t mean every female wasn’t hoping she’d be the first.

Dominic was smiling faintly as he returned to his office. He’d never called Katherine Mrs Knight at work before. He found he liked the possessive terminology. As if Katherine was his to protect and cherish – old-fashioned words, maybe outdated words. Ones he’d never considered before – at least not in personal terms.

He’d never referred to Julia as Mrs Knight. He’d never
really thought of her that way. In fact, Julia had kept her own name after their marriage. Not that he’d noticed until Melanie had mentioned it.

He remembered saying at the time, ‘That’s fairly common, isn’t it?’

And never given it another thought.

Now irrationally, he wanted Katherine to belong to him in almost a feudal sense as though this wasn’t the twenty-first century. As though such a demand wasn’t a bold affront to the modern age and more importantly to her. He grinned. As if he didn’t know. As if they didn’t fight about it endlessly.

His smile was still in place when he appeared in the open doorway between their offices.

Kate looked up. ‘What?’

‘Just missed you.’

‘I know what you mean.’ She glanced at the clock. ‘It’s been twenty minutes.’

Ignoring her teasing, he said, ‘We could go home now.’

‘Sorry, I have a minimum of three hours’ work left to do.’

‘You’re the boss. You could make a unilateral decision.’

‘I have.’

He groaned.

‘Roscoe’s been riding your ass on the Fly Way Jets acquisition,’ she pointed out. ‘Get it done.’

He grinned. ‘Yes, ma’am. Can I do anything else for you, ma’am.’

She blew him a kiss. ‘You did quite enough for me already today. Really, it was lovely.’

‘My pleasure. By the way, if you’d rather have another assistant, Christina wouldn’t mind moving to our Communications Department.’

‘She’s not a problem for me. Unless she is for you?’ Kate had seen how her pretty blonde assistant looked at Dominic, but then there wasn’t a woman who didn’t. ‘Would you prefer I have a male assistant?’
