About the Fighting Fate Series
The Fighting Fate Series is a collection of books that follow a group of young adult friends and their families through the trials and tribulations of life and love. Each book focuses on one of the friends as they come face to face with life’s hard choices, and are forced to decide if they’re strong enough to take control of their own destiny.
Take the journey with each of them as they fumble and fall to discover who they are, and fight for what they want to be.
Note: Although each book includes references and visits from other characters in the Fighting Fate Series,
and it is way more fun to read them in series order, it is not a must. Each book is a stand-alone, and can be read and understood without reading the others.

Writing a novel is hard work, and although it’s the author sitting down for hours each day, tap, tap, tapping away, it can’t be done without some type of support.
For me
, firstly, I have to thank my children. They have been so loving and understanding while I’ve been locked away for hours/days/weeks on end, rarely complaining (much) or asking when the hell I’m going to be finished.
Then there’s my wonderful Mum, and my best friend
s, Nicholas and Kelli. Without their support and encouragement over the last few years, I’m not actually sure I would’ve made it to this point. Their belief in me has been invaluable.
And finally, I’d like to thank my mum’s loyal band of supporters - Pam, Therese and Colleen, as well as my sister, Nat, for making yourselves available to me and offering
me help and support without hesitation. You’re all truly wonderful women, and I appreciate you immensely. The journey is just beginning, and I’m so very happy you’re all with me for the ride.
Maree began writing as a hobby around ten years ago when she and her oldest son discovered the genius that is Harry Potter. As he grew, so did her style of writing, slowly progressing from stories of youth, to YA, and then to NA.
The decision to start taking her writing seriously was an easy one. She loved daydreaming, and if she could do it all day and call it a job then she was taking it.
When she’s not writing, she can be found playing taxi driver to her four children, reading, or if the kids are lucky, doing those horribly domesticated things like cooking and cleaning…
She currently lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, Australia.
If you loved Maree’s book, let her know. She’d love to hear from you.
