“Maybe next time, little brother. But I doubt it,” Jack teased as they docked the powerful machines.

You know I let you win,” Aaron shrugged.

Like hell you did,” Jack snapped.

Of course I did,” Aaron smirked. “How else would you have won?”

The two brothers walked ahead of  Marisa and Tiffany and continued to argue. The girls rolled their eyes and then laughed.

“Sooo tell me. What do you think of Jack?” Tiffany asked excitedly.

I really like him,” Marisa replied.

Really?” Tiffany grinned.

Yes. Really. I’ve never met anyone quite like him. He sweet, funny, intelligent and considerate of me,” Marisa said. “He treats me like a princess, which I gotta tell you, I like a whole bunch.”

Marisa, that great! I felt there was a connection between you,” Tiffany said.

Marisa went on to tell her a little about Jackson and his nine-year-old daughter.

“How do you feel about possibly being a step-mom?” Tiffany said.

I kind of like the idea. You know I love kids. I just hope she likes me,” Marisa said worriedly.

She will adore you. What’s there not to love? You’re terrific,” Tiffany said.

This is all rather surreal. It’s all so unexpected. Meeting a man was not on my radar,” Marisa said. “But Jack could be the real deal.”

I’m so happy for you, Marisa. I have a good feeling about the two of you. I wonder what I should wear to your wedding.” Tiffany teased.

Okay. Fine. Throw my words back in my face,” Marisa wailed. “But seriously, who would have thought that we would be dating brothers?”

Not I. Not in a millions years. But anything is possible. So, let’s just enjoy it and see where it leads,” Tiffany said.

They high-fived each other then ran to catch up with Jack and Aaron. They embraced each man’s waist and walked back to the cabin.

Felice sat under a tree and watched the two couples walk down the pier. The revelers quickly converged upon them and forced them to join a volleyball game. Felice was furious that Tiffany and Marisa could nab the two best hunks at the party; especially Tiffany. It boggled her mind to think that Aaron could seriously be interested in that oversized cow. Well, her temporary triumph was about to come to an end. Aaron would soon be with the right woman, and that woman was not Tiffany. Sissy Lewis approached Felice and sat down next to her. She crossed her slender, tanned legs akimbo beneath her. Sissy was the only friend that Felice had. Everyone else kept their distance. Sissy didn’t really consider them to be true friends but she often felt sorry for Felice. She hated to see her alone and miserable; granted Felice brought that state of being on herself more often than not. But Sissy still felt badly for her.

“What’s up, Felice?” Sissy said cheerfully.

What do you want?” Felice snapped.

Sissy sighed. Felice did make it hard to befriend her.

“I don’t want anything. I saw you sitting here all alone so I thought I would join you,” Sissy explained.

I don’t need you feeling sorry for me. I’m not a charity case,” Felice retorted.

I never said you were. I just thought you would like some company,” Sissy answered.

I’m fine by myself. You can go back and tell the others to worry about themselves,” Felice said meanly.

Now that was a joke if Felice thought somebody was concerned about her. She had not been appointed by the others to check on Felice. No one had given her a second thought except Sissy.

“I wasn’t given the task of checking on you. I came because I wanted to,” Sissy said. She was beginning to think it a bad idea.

Felice stared fixedly at the volleyball game. Sissy followed her gaze to determine who she was stonily staring at. Sissy vision landed on Tiffany, who had just spiked the ball. She jumped up and down in delight. Aaron, who was playing on her team, caught her and twirled her around. Sissy heard Felice’ sharp intake of breath. She looked at Felice closely and saw the anger in her black eyes. Sissy held her own breath as she realized it was not just anger that Felice felt; it was hatred. Unadulterated hatred. Everyone had seen Felice make a play for Aaron. But he had made his choice clear. It was Tiffany, he was interested in. It was plain as day that his rejection had not set well with Felice and that did not bode well for Tiffany. Sissy saw Felice’s dark eyes narrow to mere slits. Sissy knew that she was planning something, and it wouldn’t be good for Tiffany.

“A few of the girls are going on a hike tomorrow morning. Why don’t you come with us,” Sissy invited. She needed to distract Felice from whatever nefarious act she was planning.

Felice did not respond immediately. Then she turned to look at Sissy. Her black eyes were glistening. She smiled slowly.

“Yes, I’ll go with you. It sounds like fun,” Felice answered.

Sissy was now unsure if she should have extended the invitation. Felice agreed to the outing too easily. It suited her plans to come along and that made Sissy very uneasy. But she couldn’t very well uninvite her. Well, at least if Felice were with them they could keep an eye on her.

“Great! I’ll see you a little later,” Sissy said.

She stood and gazed down at Felice. She truly wished that Felice was a likable person. Things would go so much better for her.

“What are you staring at?” Felice demanded.

Nothing,” Sissy said quickly. “Come join us. Don’t sit here all alone.”

Maybe I will,” Felice responded. “Later.”

Sissy sighed. That was the best answer that she would get out of Felice. She turned and walked away from her. Sissy felt that she should warn Tiffany, but she didn’t have anything concrete to warn her about. Her apprehension was just a feeling. And was it fair to accuse Felice of treachery on just a hunch. Sissy decided to remain quiet for now and keep an eye on Felice.

Chapter 6

Tiffany and Aaron sat under a nearby tree and watched the revelers dance around the fire. Steffi had organized a luau, and it had turned out fantastic. Where Tucker had gotten a pig to roast was a mystery to Tiffany, but it was now ready for consumption as it had been roasting on the skewer all day. The meal was delicious and Tiffany was satisfied but not over full. She had changed her eating habits and did not feel the need to overeat. She sat between Aaron‘s legs and rested against his chest. No one could have told her that she would be cuddling with Aaron when she first reconnected with him. But now she couldn’t imagine not having him in her life. How could so much change in such a short period of time? She didn’t have an answer, and that was fine by her. She was just happy for the change in their status.

“The day I wandered into the gym, not knowing if I would stay or not was the best day of my life. I would never have met you again had I not gone in,” she murmured.

You never know how fate will appear in your life. It has its own way of doing things,” Aaron replied.

I believe that some things are supposed to happen, no matter what. We are a perfect example of that,” she said.

He kissed her neck lovingly.

“This may sound syrupy and cliché but you are my destiny, Tiffany. And I’m not about to lose you,” he whispered. “You belong to me.”

That has the distinct tone of caveman mentality,” she giggled.

Too bad! It’s the way I feel and the way it’s going to be,” he said with finality.

She looked up at him.

“I think I can deal with it,” she whispered.

He cupped her chin and kissed her. He ravaged her mouth until she couldn’t breathe. She tore her mouth away and gasped for air.

“Aaron!” she whispered raggedly.

Let’s get out of here,” he said urgently.

He stood and pulled her up. He held her hand as they went back to the cabin and trotted upstairs. He stopped in front of her bedroom door and gazed down at her with passion blazing in his now dark- green eyes. He didn’t have to verbalize the question. Tiffany knew what he was asking. She returned his stare with her own steady gaze. She nodded. He slowly smiled as he pushed open her bedroom door. He led her into the room and then closed and locked the door. He took her into his arms and kissed her like there was no tomorrow. He held her tightly and squeezed her buttocks.

“I want you so much,” he murmured.

I’m yours,” she breathed.

He picked her up.

“Aaron, no!” she objected.

He smiled.

“You’re not heavy, Tiffany. You’ve lost weight, and you were never as overweight as you imagined. You feel perfect in my arms,” he grinned.

He carried her to the bed and laid her gently upon it. He came down atop her.

“I like a woman with a little meat on her. I want something to hold onto when I make love to her,” he murmured. He captured her mouth in a rapturous kiss then trailed his mouth down her neck.

Tiffany couldn’t believe she’d heard him correctly. She was so self-conscious of her weight, but he didn’t seem to mind her size at all. She knew she wasn’t obese but she wasn’t the size she had been in high school either. But none of that mattered anymore. He liked her for whom and what she was. And she couldn’t ask for more. Aaron sat up and pulled his tank over his head. He then removed her top and slipped his hands behind her back to unsnap her black, lacy bra. All the while, his eyes never left her face. Tiffany was mesmerized by his sparkling eyes. She could have drowned in them. He tossed aside her shirt and bra then bent forward to devour her breast. His tongue was doing delicious things to her breast, and it felt heavenly. She moaned and arched into his mouth. He suckled that breast for a while then moved on to the other one. His mouth felt so good that Tiffany was about to explode. It had been a long time since a man had given her this kind of attention, but never had he made her feel this good. Her hands slid down his toned, rippled back. His skin was smooth and soft despite the rigidity of his muscles. It was a thrilling contrast to the touch. Her fingers glided over his flat stomach and encountered the waistband of his shorts. She began to undo the clasp and lower the zipper. He sat up on his knees to allow her to undress him. Tiffany pushed his shorts and briefs down at once. His penis sprang free, huge and fully enflamed. He rose from the bed to kick free of the garments, then he came back to her. He straddled her hips as he began divesting her of her bottoms. He removed her shorts and threw them on the floor. Then he slowly pulled her black panties from her hips and slid them down her legs. He tossed them aside and stared at her curls.

“You’re so beautiful,” he murmured.

Tiffany felt a bit embarrassed but refrained from trying to cover herself with her hands. She laid still and allowed him to look his fill. He spread her legs further apart and went down on her. The moment his tongue pushed through her curls Tiffany nearly bucked from the bed. Aaron thought she tasted so delicious. He wanted to feed on her all night. And there was no reason why he couldn’t. Tiffany was gyrating and rising from the bed in her excitement. He held her thighs firmly to keep her in place. He tugged on her nub and allowed his tongue roam free. He loved her with all his heart, and he wanted to show her. He realized he was in love with her when he taught her how to tread water. It took every ounce of his willpower not to ravish her right there in the lake. And it was harder still to only kiss her cheek when she went to bed that night. But now he could show her in every way possible how much he loved her. And he would not stop until she knew it. Tiffany felt as if she would explode at any minute. She was cresting, and she couldn’t hold back. She yanked on his shoulders to pull him up. She needed his throbbing penis inside of her. She wanted to feel his release when she soared into the galaxy.

“Now, Aaron. Come into me now,” she pleaded.

He finally moved above her. He rubbed his cock against her haven to tease her. She tried to grab him, but he held her hands away.

“Not fair,” she gasped.

Maybe not. But you know it feels damn good,” he said hoarsely.

He continued to rub his hugely engorged penis against her. The friction it caused was electrifying. Tiffany glanced down at him and wondered if he would fit into her. He must have read her mind.

“Don’t worry. It will be fine,” he whispered.

Tiffany was no virgin, but her previous lover had not been nearly as large. She would just have to take his word for it. Tiffany suddenly relaxed. She trusted him. And if he said it would be alright, then it would. He began to enter her. She could feel the tip of him slid inward. My God she was tight. Aaron thought he had gone to heaven already. He wanted to plunge into her but knew he could not. He would never hurt her. He eased into her sweet hollow, bit by bit until she fully encased him. He stilled to let her get used to him then he began to thrust. Slowly at first, then he increased the pace. Tiffany responded exuberantly, writhing, twisting and bucking against him. They tossed and turned in their efforts to know every inch of each other. Aaron knew that he could not hold back any longer. Tiffany was coming as well. He let out a thunderous roar as he spilled into her. She felt utter bliss as they crested the apex of desire together. She had never known such an intense, magical and soaring climax. It took them several minutes to come back down to earth and catch their breath.

“That was fabulous, Aaron. I’ve known anything like it before,” she panted.

Neither have I. You were wonderful, Tiffany,” he said as he rolled over to face her. “I’m happy to know that the sex is super good between us.”

She laughed.

“So I am,” she smiled.

He turned her back against his chest and spooned with her.

“I love you, Tiffany,” he said softly.

She smiled broadly.

“And I love you, Aaron,” she sighed.

They slept and the party outside went on.

Where did the two of you disappear to last night?’ Marisa asked mischievously.

Tiffany and Aaron were sitting at the kitchen table when Marisa wandered into the room. Tiffany and Aaron caught each other’s eye and smiled. Tiffany decided to take a swallow of orange juice at that exact moment. Aaron stuffed scrambled eggs into his mouth.

“No answer? Well, that tells me all I want to know,” Marisa laughed.

The doorbell rang. Neither Tiffany nor Aaron made an effort to answer it. Marisa looked at them and sighed.

“I guess I’ll get the door,” she muttered.

She walked off.

“Thank God!” Tiffany exhaled. “She would have ribbed us all morning had it not been for our visitor.”

Saved by the proverbial bell?” he smiled.

Yes,” she laughed.

Marisa came back into the kitchen with Jack in tow.

“Look who’s here?” Marisa announced.

Just in time for breakfast, I see,” Jack grinned.

I don’t believe your name was in the skillet,” Aaron teased.

Jack encircled Marisa’s waist.

“Not a problem. Marisa will cook for me,” Jack chuckled.

Oh really? And what have we missed?” Tiffany teased.

Nothing,” Marisa said quickly.

Jack laughed and kissed her neck.

“Nothing too much, that is,” Jack grinned.

Oooh la la! Do tell,” Tiffany said excitedly.

I could say the same thing about the two of you,” Marisa smirked. “Do tell!”

Nothing much,” Aaron said.

Tiffany gasped and playfully punched his arm. Marisa pulled out of Jack’s arms to make breakfast for him. Jack sat at the table.

“Last night was wild but a lot of fun,” Jack said. “Do you guys have these shindigs often?”

A few times during the summer. Mainly during a holiday weekend,” Tiffany said.

It’s a chance for people who’ve been out of touch to reconnect,” Marisa said. “It’s easy to drift away from people when you’re focused on work all the time.”

It does take effort to maintain friendships. I have to do better with that,” Jack said thoughtfully as he looked at Marisa.

Aaron looked at his brother and could see that he really meant what he was saying. It was his intention to stay in contact with Maris, and that was a good thing. Tiffany had just finished making breakfast for Jack when the ladies had arrived to go on the hike. It was a good thing that Marisa made a lot of scrambled eggs and sausage, for several men came in with the ladies, and of course, they hadn’t eaten. There was a lively exchange of greetings as the women tried to leave, and the men gathered to eat. Aaron came over to Tiffany’s side.

“Have fun,” he said. Then he kissed her goodbye.

There were hoots and laughter at the gesture. Tiffany blushed.

“Hey, black women do blush,” one of the guys laughed.

I am so out of here,” Tiffany retorted.

The women went out onto the porch and stopped short. Waiting in the yard, sitting on the picnic table was Felice.

“What is she doing here?” Steffi whispered fiercely.

I invited her,” Sissy said.

The women looked at her in horror.

“Why?” Mimi choked out.

I felt sorry for her,” Sissy said sadly. “Besides, it’s a hike. She can’t do any harm on a nature walk.”

She’d better not,” Marisa whispered.

Felice got up and came forward.

“Good morning. Ready for our hike?” Felice said cheerfully.

Sure,” Steffi said dourly. “Let’s go.”

The women started off. It was about seven of them. The other ladies bowed out after having such a rowdy previous night. They headed down a twisting dirt track. There were tons of beautiful plants and shrubberies on either side of them. The trees were tall and mature.

“Look,” Mimi pointed above them. “A Green Heron.”

There standing on a thick branch was a Green Heron.

“The green heron is a very popular bird in Florida,” Mimi explained. “They can oftentimes be found near lakes or marshlands.”

Mimi was a wildlife biologist and turned out to be an excellent tour guide. They had been hiking for about an hour when they encountered a gorgeous waterfall. The ladies quickly dropped their backpacks and stripped down to their swimsuits. They were in the cool spring water within minutes, swimming, playing and floating. A few of the women climbed up to the top of the waterfall and dived in. Mimi, who didn’t swim well sat on a huge rock and took tons of pictures. There was a cove behind the waterfall, and Tiffany swam under the curtain of water to check it out. When she surfaced inside the cavern, she saw Felice relaxing against the rocks. Tiffany turned to swim out.
