“I’m thrilled that you like it.”

“So you and Jelani must be really tight now.”

“Absolutely. It’s from our life as kids. We spent so much time in other countries that it would only be me and Marcario together. Mai was so much smaller than us then. We were homeschooled and ran around and played with local kids, but often they didn’t speak English. When you’re a kid it doesn’t really matter, though. We always had fun and had each other to talk to. We shared everything, and it seemed a natural progression that when we discovered girls we would want to share them, too.”

“Have you always shared?”

She didn’t look up at him when she asked, but he watched her expression closely as he answered. If she wasn’t truly interested in them both, then now was the time to find it out.

“We’ve gone on dates alone and had separate girlfriends, but it never lasts long. Some women like the idea right up until the point of crawling in bed with us both. Other jumped in and out just as quickly.” He shrugged slightly, not wanting to say too much. “We’ve been away to different countries trying to do what we can to help, and that tends to get brushed to the wayside.”

Jelani came into the room. Stepping over the back of the couch, he snuggled up behind Jess. “Although Marcario take his ropes with him wherever he goes. They’re like his security blanket—a kinky security blanket, but one just the same.”

Jess grinned at his brother’s teasing, and Marcario’s cock strained against his pants. Her arm looked incredible wrapped in his rope. Jelani rested his chin on her shoulder and looked down at her arm. She accepted his presence easily and didn’t seem to be put off at all. He was starting to believe she was the most perfect woman ever created. A few more wraps and he finished it off. A perfectly straight line of knots ran from her wrist to her inner elbow.

“Does the linen feel the same?”

“Give me your other arm and I’ll show you.”

The ropes on her right arm maintained a steady pressure as he worked on her left one. He repeated the same pattern with the different rope. He stopped a few times to check her circulation and ask her how it all felt. Jess was amazed at how careful he was with her. Even though her curiosity got him to do this, he was very protective.

When he finished, she raised both arms to compare. “Wow, that is so pretty.” She rubbed each gauntlet against her cheek one at a time. “The linen feels softer, almost fluffier. But there is something more natural about the jute. I can smell the plant fibers. It’s almost like the hemp, but much smoother.”

“I agree. When I unwrap you, the jute will leave distinct marks on your skin. They won’t last too long, unfortunately.”

“Why do you say it that way?”

“Because.” Marcario ran his fingers over the jute wraps on her arm. “Seeing my rope marks on a woman’s skin is one of the hottest sights. Her skin carries the marks for a while, and I’m always sad to see them fade.”

Jess felt her heart stutter and pick up speed. The tone of Marcario’s voice deepened. He sounded more seductive, and she wanted to crawl into his lap and let him protect her from the world.
But then look what happened last time you gave up everything for a man.

“What is this for?” She tugged on a small loop he made in the center of each of the gauntlets.

“Relax your arm.” He looped a finger through the hoop and lifted her arm up. “That is a support loop. If I wanted to tie your arm to another part of your body, or if I was starting a suspension piece, I can loop in through this.”

“That’s so cool. It’s like the pressure is spread out along my arm. There isn’t a single strong pressure point.”

“That is the idea. If I was planning on rigging you up and suspending you, there shouldn’t be any stress on your joints. The idea is to be suspended in your body and thoughts, and I wouldn’t want to disturb that.”

Jess could feel her body softening to the idea of being tied up and suspended from the ceiling. She envisioned the pictures she saw on the computer and her pussy throbbed at the thought. Good thing they weren’t shifters, because they would have been able to smell her arousal from a mile away.

“And you were learning this when you were a teenager? I guess you didn’t get to practice much.”

“No, you would be surprised how many high school art students agreed to it,” Jelani answered with a mischievous grin. “Of course in those days, the girls would wear a catsuit or tight jeans. We didn’t get into nudes until college.”

“I rigged them up, and Jelani would take the pictures.”

Jessica tried to imagine what she would look like all tied up and caught on film. Maybe she should start working out again. Once she got some muscle definition back then she would look incredible naked and all tied up.

Marcario unwrapped the linen rope first and she was amazed at how sensitive her skin felt. As soon as he finished she ran her hand along her inner arm. Her imagination jumped to what this would feel like if she was naked and it was his lips along her skin.

“See no permanent damage, only a few slight marks.”

“Okay, now the other arm.” She could feel the difference as soon as he shifted the jute. What it revealed amazed her. Her skin replicated the rope almost perfectly. Every line and ridge reflected in her skin. “That is incredible.”

Marcario stroked her inner arm and Jess gasped at the intense sensation. “Jess, did that hurt?”

“No, it felt good.” She lifted her arm to get a closer look. “It’s the most amazing thing. It feels like my skin is ten times more sensitive.” She touched the ridges, amazed by the texture the ropes left in her skin.

“You have incredible skin, Jess. Look how beautifully it took the ropes.” Jelani held up her arm and she saw the warm glow of the setting sun reflect off her decorated skin. “I wish I had my camera ready, I’d love to get this on film.”

“I don’t mind if you want to take a picture.” The words flew from her mouth before she could stop them, but she didn’t mind after a moment. She wouldn’t have minded a photo of this memory.

“By the time I get it all together your skin will have relaxed and the detail would be lost.” He looked behind her shoulder at Marcario. “I think you might be able to talk Marcario into doing this again one day, though.”

“Maybe one day.” Jess turned and her breath caught in her throat at the intense look on Marcario’s face. He lifted her arm and pressed his lips against her skin. “You are exquisite, Jessica.”

The combined aroused sent of both of them was a potent aphrodisiac to her. Marcario traced a ridge with his tongue and she felt her pussy flood with moisture. “Oh, god. That feels so sensitive.”

“Imagine what it would feel like after I tied up your entire body. Your breasts would be that much more sensitive to our touch.”

Jelani rested his hands on her hips and moved closer behind her. His large hands slid around to rest on her body. Right now she wanted his hands either higher or lower because she felt so turned on. The mental image of what this feeling would be like all over her body make her pussy clench and her breasts ache.

“I want to feel that. Would you do it right now?”

“No, not now, Jess. I want to make certain that you are sure you want to.”

“Oh, I’m sure.”

He chuckled and she felt as if the sound danced along her skin. “I’m sure you are, but you’re not making an uninfluenced decision right now.”

Jelani’s hands stroked a path up her torso, stopping right below her breasts.
What am I going to have to do to get those hands on me?
Marcario stroked her thighs and as his hands moved upward, she let her legs drift apart. Now if only he would get the hint.

“Jess, do you trust us?”

She paused before she answered. She wanted to say yes, but the words stuck in her throat. “I don’t have any reason not to trust you.”

“That’s not what I asked.” He stroked his hand along her cheek. “There might be a little trust in there, but not enough for me to tie that up.”

Jelani hugged her from behind. “We’re not saying no forever, Jessica. But you have to trust us completely in order to relax while he rigs you up. If your anxiety climbs you won’t understand why he likes to do this.”

“Give yourself some more time, Jess. We’ll get there.”

At least that will give me some time to get myself in better shape.
She began creating a workout schedule in her head, starting immediately.

Marcario stroked her cheek with the end of the hemp rope, dissolving the lists she was mentally creating. “What is going on in your head, Jess, and why do I think I wouldn’t like it?”

“I have no idea.” If she told him the truth he would feel obligated to say nice things, and she would rather have the truth then a kind lie.

Chapter Ten

Despite her subtle and not-too-subtle advances, neither of them took her to bed that night. They talked about everything in their lives. She told them about her parents and why Daniel was so much more important to them.

They drove her back to the clinic late. She was staying with Brenna ever since the incident at her house. Any doubts about their attraction to her fled when they walked her up to the door. Each of them gave her toe-curling kisses that left her body aching and her panties soaked. They were up to something, only she couldn’t figure out what it was. Both of them were sporting impressive bulges in their pants when they left.

The first thing she did after locking the door was charge up her laptop and search for information about shibari. The moon was starting to set when she finally crawled into bed. Her thoughts rotated around all the information she read about bondage and artistic rope tying. She understood what the safety precautions were and didn’t doubt for one second that Marcario would follow them to the letter. He seemed so focused at times that she wanted to see him off balance and out of his element. Jelani had an artistic soul, and she wondered how he would feel if he learned about her animal side. Somehow she truly believed that it wouldn’t be a problem. Jelani was a romantic, and that would help his understanding.

They told her so many stories about the countries that they lived in. Jess wanted to see the world. She had lived her entire life in Ontario. She didn’t even have a passport so she could cross the border into the States. Ecstasy Lake was her home, and she loved it here, but she wanted to see the rest of the world. She wanted to travel around.

Sadly, it looked like Marcario and Jelani were planning on going back to Africa in a few weeks. She didn’t know if she could live without them. There was a hidden part of her heart that sensed their presence. She knew that the wolves and cats were instantly drawn to their mates. Is that what she was feeling? She knew that mating between humans and shape-shifters was completely possible, only she didn’t know if her kind were that sensitive to the presence of their mates.

There was so much to consider, and Jess knew one thing was for certain. Brenna was wrong. It was better to grab at this incredible chance and hold on for a long as she could. When they left her behind she was going to hurt, but there had to be something more. She didn’t want to lose out on this incredible chance. But she was going to have to give something, too. Yesterday proved that they weren’t going to budge on the trust factor. She needed to show them she trusted them with everything. The one way she could do that was if she told them everything about her family. That included the highbrow snobbery of her parents that she didn’t share in.

She would stop at The Shack for something to eat and then ask someone to take her over to her place. Not that Geoff would be stupid enough to go there again. If he had, Gordon really would feed him to the locals.

* * * *

The small bell over the front door of The Shack chimed as a happy pair of women chatted to each other as they left. Jessica sat there eating a sandwich and had eavesdropped as Catherine read the leaves in the bottom of their cups. The pungent aroma of bergamot tickled her senses, and she could feel herself relaxing despite the rapid thoughts that plagued her mind.

Catherine placed a plate with three Welsh cakes on it. “You look like you need this, pet. What do you have on your mind?

“Family, past and future.” Catherine had been her confidant for as long as she could remember. Talking to her felt like talking to the mother she always wanted but never had. She bit into the soft cake. The buttery notes and currants burst on her tongue. “I love these more than your Eccles cakes.” She moaned and then took a sip of her steaming tea.

“Now why are you thinking about such deep thoughts on a beautiful day like today? You should stand completely still in the sunshine and not think about anything at all but love.” She nodded to the window and Jess saw the sun break out through the clouds, making the ice over the lake sparkle.

“How did you know that would happen?”

“I always listen to Frankie on Breakfast Television. That boy understands weather.”

“Do you think that was a good idea?” A low voice interrupted their conversation.

Catherine stopped wiping down the counter and smiled over at the big man who questioned her. “I don’t have a clue what you are talking about, Lars.”

“Really? You and I have known each other for a very long time, and I know when you are leaving out information when you are doing a reading.”
