“Girl, see what I didn’t tell you is, we actually know each other. How do you think I knew where to find you?” my dad asked.
“What? How do you know each other?” I asked confused.
“His wife’s brother and I used to be best friends.”
“Ms. Cherry?”
“Yup! I knew Mykell and Micah when they were little snotty nose kids. They moved here before Le’Lani was born so I didn’t know about her,” my dad explained.
“This is too much. Did you know that when you took me in Pop-Pop?”
“I didn’t until after I had a conversation with Mone. That was after the little incident we had downstairs and I had to beat his ass.”
“Wow!”
“I know right.”
I didn’t miss that look Neicey gave me before I walked out of the room. I knew she still loved a nigga and after the shit I just found out, her ass would be home where she belonged. I had to call Mone so I could share that information with my brothers.
“Yo Mone, get ya ass here nigga. I’ve got some shit I know you would love to hear.”
“I’m already in route bruh.”
“Good.”
I went downstairs to get Mack. “Yo Micah, let me holla at you.” He knew I was serious because I used his government.
“What y’all need to talk about?” Neicey asked.
“I’ll let you know later.”
“Ugh whatever,” she said and rolled her eyes.
I’ll deal with her ass later.
“What’s the problem?” Mack asked as soon as we made it to the basement.
“Man, I just found out some crazy shit. I’m just waiting for Mone to get here so I can get it out of my system.”
“Well, don’t keep an asshole in suspense, let me know wassup,” Ramone said, walking down the stairs.
“Damn nigga, what you do? Speed here?” I asked
“I told you I was already in route. Now spill it.”
“So I had somebody do some investigation for me. Well come to find out, Kamil went to Kya’s house the day he left.”
“Okay, well you already knew he was going over there from that one day we saw him coming out,” Micah said.
“If you would let me finish. Anyways, he’s not really in Atlanta he’s in Cali, which is where he’s originally from. He’s a contract killer! Now this shit is too much of a coincidence for me.”
“What the fuck! How did you find all this out?” Ramone asked
“C’mon now, you really think I’ma have a nigga around my family and I don’t do some research on his ass? Yeah, it took me longer than it should have, but I got it done.”
“So what does all this have to do with Kya? You think she hired him to kill baby girl?” Micah inquired.
“Nah, I don’t think she’s got enough heart to pull some shit like this off.”
“Fuck that,” Ramone said. “Ladybug! Come here!”
“Man you can’t tell her yet,” I said
“Tell me what?” she said coming down the stairs
“Did you know that Kamil and Kya know each other?” Micah asked her.
“Yeah, they’re cousins.”
I looked at her then at my brothers.
Her phone started ringing before anybody could say anything else.
“Hello?”
“Okay, I’ll meet you there. I’m on my way right now.”
She looked at us, “Okay I’ll get up with y’all later. My man is home and wants me to come see him.”
I looked at Micah and Ramone; they already knew what I was thinking.
“Y’all keep an eye on MJ and Mell. I’m following her because I don’t trust this nigga.”
“We’re rolling with you,” Ramone said.
“Naw bruh, I’ma do this one by myself.”
I was a little confused about Kamil wanting me to meet him at the old house.
Why the fuck would he want me to meet him at a house that’s boarded up?
Well, I got my answer when I pulled up and saw the house looked as good as new. I was shocked. I got out of the car and walked right on in.
“How do you like it?” Kamil asked with a big smile on his face.
“Oh my God! When did you do this?”
“Did you really think I wasn’t going to bring my ass home when I heard about what happened? Naw baby, that ain’t even me.”
“How did you do this though?” I asked looking around at the newly remodeled house.
“Ya man got connects baby,” he boasted.
“I love it Kamil, I really do, but I don’t feel safe staying here after what happened.”
“I knew you were going to say that. Actually, I was going to put this house up for sale and we hoping you would move to California with me. We can get married out there and be a happy family. Just you, me, and Romell.”
“I don’t think that shit is about to happen,” I heard from behind me. I turned around to see Mykell standing there.
“Mykell what are you doing here?”
“I came to let you know that this nigga ain’t really who you think he is.”
“What are you talking about?” I asked irritated.
“Nigga you just don’t give up do you? You’re that mad I got her that you would come up in here on some bullshit? You need to suck this shit up and leave us alone because whether you like it or not, we’re going to be together and we are going to get married.”
“We’ll see about that after she finds out what you really do,” Mykell smirked.
“Alright enough of this bullshit! What the fuck is going on?” I was starting to get mad as hell. Everybody wanted to talk in riddles instead of keeping shit real.
“Apparently you don’t know who you’re sleeping with,” Kya said walking from the back of the house.
I looked at Kamil with a look of death. “You had this bitch in my house? Really?”
“Baby, I didn’t know she was here,” he turned to Kya. “What the fuck are you doing here Rahkya?”
“I just came to see how my favorite cousin was after his trip to Cali,” she smirked.
“What the fuck she mean Cali, I thought you were in Atlanta?”
“Naw, baby. Ya man over here was in Cali, that’s where he’s from. Supposedly he’s a contract killer,” Mykell said.
“What the fuck is he talking about Kamil?” I asked, wondering what was really going on.
He didn’t answer; instead, he pulled his gun out and pointed it at Mykell. He was a little too late because Mykell already had his out.
“Nigga say another fucking word and I’ll kill you right where you stand,” Kamil threatened.
“Whatever fuck boy, if you were really bout it, you would have been done it instead of talking.”
I walked in the middle of them because nobody was about to die until I got some answers. “I’m not going to ask no more. What the fuck is going on?” I asked through gritted teeth.
“Oh wait. I have somebody that can answer that question,” Kya smirked and answered.
In walked some light-skinned trick with a smile on her face like some shit was funny.
I was shocked as hell when I saw Olivia walk through the door. I hadn’t seen her since she gave birth to MJ.
How the fuck did these two bitches hookup together.
“Remember me?” she smirked.
The last time I saw Olivia was before I got locked up. It had been a while since I saw the mother of my first-born. She was still as beautiful as ever with her peanut butter complexion, light brown eyes and banging body, but she didn’t have shit on Neicey. Olivia and I messed around for about a year before she got pregnant with MJ. To this day, I still don’t know how the hell that happened because I always made sure I strapped up.
She was one of my favorite side bitches because she always kept her mouth shut and played her position
, but all that changed when she found out she was pregnant. She thought that gave her the right to be wifey but she thought wrong. After I was locked up, I found out that she was doing drugs around my son and was sleeping with random niggas for money. That shit wasn’t flying with me, so I had my dad go get my son and he had been away from her ass ever since.
“Who the fuck is this Mykell?” Neicey asked.
I didn’t even know how to tell her
.
“I’m his
first
baby mama,” she replied with an attitude.
“Huh?” Kya spoke.
I still had my gun pointed at Kamil, but I was focused on Kya and Olivia. “Yes bitch. I’m Mykell Junior’s real mother. Not this wanna be.”
“You didn’t tell me that,” Kya said.
“I didn’t have to.”
“So you’re just doing dirty work for bitches and don’t know nothing about em? Fuck type of shit you on Rahkya,” I yelled.
“So from the moment you approached me, you knew who I was?” Kya asked. She turned and looked at me. “So this is the bitch you cheated on me with and had a baby by?”
“Man, Kya that shit happened eight damn years ago,” I fumed.
“Fuck them bitches! Both of em, you were supposed to be mine. You fucked around on me a
nd made a baby with this bitch,” she pointed at Olivia. “Then came home and had a baby with that other bitch,” she pointed at Neicey.
Neicey pulled her gun from behind her and shot Kya in the head so fast that if I wasn’t looking, I probably would have missed it. Kamil had a gun pointed at me, I had one pointed at him, Neicey had hers pointed at Olivia, and Olivia had hers pointed at me.
This shit is crazy.
“Kamil, why did you turn weak on me?” Olivia asked.
“What is she talking about Kamil?” Neicey asked with a look of death in her eyes.
“Tell her Kamil,” Olivia taunted.
He just stood there looking at me. “Well, since you won’t talk, I will. Well little girl, your fiancé here was supposed to get rid of your ass. But he got weak and fell in love with you, why I don’t know. I paid him to do a job that he failed to do,” Olivia explained with an evil look.
“Really Kamil? So you did have something to do with the house getting shot up? You had something to do with me being raped and MJ being taken? My son was in that fucking house!” Neicey was on the verge of tears and I was ready to put a bullet right in the middle of his forehead.
“Baby look, I didn’t know she wanted you raped. She just wanted you to be roughed up a little, but I backed out at the last minute. As for MJ being taken, I really didn’t have shit to do with that. I swear I didn’t know her ass was going to shoot up the house or else I never would have left y’all here. I haven’t communicated with her or Kya in months!”
“This nigga lying Neicey, he was just at Kya’s house the other day! That’s why I asked you if you knew they were cool,” I butted in.
