“Fuck, you’re tight.” Duke sounded as if he was being strangled, and Bryn was glad to know he was affected as she was. Des’s expression seemed a little tortured, but he never wavered in their stare. “Des, help me out here. She’s so damn small.”

Bryn knew he meant that as a compliment, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t an issue. With only his tip inside, she wasn’t sure she could take any more of his cock. Des’s hand snaked between them until his fingers reached her clit. She’d been so concentrated on the stinging in her ass that she hadn’t realized how engorged her clit had become. It felt overstimulated, and Bryn was positive that she would come if he kept up the contact.

“Des, I’m going to come,” Bryn whispered, wanting to wait for them both so that all three could experience their release together. “Don’t touch me—”

“Trust us,” Des murmured, taking his free hand and tracing her lips with his thumb. Bryn opened her mouth and sucked on it. “Are you ready?”

Before Bryn could answer, Des added pressure to her clit. The swollen and sensitive nub greedily took what he offered and exploded. In one powerful thrust, Duke sank his cock into her ass. The slight stinging took on a massive burn, which to Bryn’s amazement, spurred on her orgasm. Locking eyes with Des, Bryn found herself free-falling off of that waterfall. It was a glorious feeling.

Within seconds, Duke and Des had established a rhythm. When Duke pulled out, Des pushed in. The alternating pattern set afire different nerves that seemed to work in sync. Instead of coming and then having a slow path to normalcy, Bryn’s orgasm grew stronger. Her contractions became longer and more powerful until she was crying out.

Duke and Des both hit that pinnacle at the same time, slamming their cocks into her. Each of their bases swelled before they released their seed into the barrier that Bryn wished didn’t exist, but that was for another time to discuss. With both of them inside of her and their shafts inflated to the max, Bryn reached the water below in her mind and let the warmth envelope her.

Bryn wasn’t sure if it had been a minute or an hour when Des started to stir beneath her. She felt a warm compress against her ass and smiled against Des’s chest. Duke was wiping her down, and she hadn’t even realized that he’d pulled out of her. Her body had no strength, and if Des thought she could move on her own, he was sadly mistaken.

“Bryn, honey, let’s get you under the covers,” Duke said, removing the washcloth. “We can try out those handcuffs later.”

“But it’s technically morning.” Bryn snuggled deeper into Des’s heat. “We’re supposed to meet Detective Flynn at the diner.”

Detective Flynn had suggested they meet before he had to head back to the city. There were a lot of questions that Bryn, Duke, and Des needed answered regarding the man that tried to murder her. They also wanted reassurance that the killer was going to go away for a long time, preferably life.

“That’s not for another two hours. Des and I just want to hold you,” Duke said, with Des humming in agreement. Bryn crinkled her nose as his chest hair vibrated against her face.

“What about Mom?”

“Oh, a little birdie told me that Sheriff Whittington is keeping her occupied,” Duke replied. “Des, if you think you’re getting the same treatment as Bryn in the cleaning-up department, you’re fucking nuts. Get your ass in the bathroom.”

Bryn slowly felt her strength returning and laughed when Duke lifted her off of Des and tossed her up by the pillows. She sank her face into the cool pillowcase and savored Duke’s embrace as he lay down behind her. Bryn felt Des push himself off of the mattress, but didn’t immediately go into the bathroom. He came around the side of the bed and leaned down to kiss her on the forehead.

“You know, for a potential match, we certainly achieved an epic whirlwind romance that has paved the way for our future,” Des said.

Bryn looked up into Des’s green eyes, seeing his adoration for her shining through. Words couldn’t express the ball of emotion that was lodged in her chest, but she was sure the tears that filled her eyes did. Bryn loved them. Taking a chance on a probability was the best choice she could’ve made, and regardless of the short path that led them here, Bryn knew they would make the most of it.

Epilogue

Preston Flynn ran a hand over his face, placing pressure on his tired eyes. He’d yet to get sleep after arresting one George Cartek for the murders of nine women. The man was now behind bars, where he belonged, and Preston had the reasoning behind the killings. He wasn’t buying the whole reasoning bit, but in Cartek’s mind there was a solid cause. It turned out that his mother had had a governing personality that had overshadowed his father’s at every turn. When Cartek’s dad finally had enough, the man up and left his family, leaving George with an overbearing mother whom he later killed. Something in him had just snapped.

“The transfer papers were sent over to your people. You’ll be able to take Cartek to Phoenix by the end of the day.”

Preston released the compression on his eyes and looked up to find Deputy Thornton standing next to his booth. Using his hand to gesture, Preston gave permission for Luke to have a seat across from him. Luke was a good-old country boy, but took his role as an officer seriously. He’d heard through another officer that Luke was in the running to take over for Sheriff Whittington upon the sheriff’s retirement. It would be a good replacement.

“I appreciate all your help on this case,” Preston said, picking up his coffee cup and finishing off the last gulp. “I’m sure you don’t see many serial killers out this way.”

“You’d be surprised at how busy Triple has been lately,” Luke responded with a smile. “I definitely wouldn’t say I’m bored with my job.”

“I heard about the ATF and the DEA getting involved with an investigation. Hopefully, your town can have some peace and quiet for a while.” Preston observed Luke as he grabbed the waitress’s attention. He knew from his previous visits to the diner that her name was Willow. She was pretty, with her black hair pulled back haphazardly in a ponytail and her porcelain skin, but also very young. “You know, rumor has it that you and Willow are an item.”

“You’ve been talking to Mrs. Wheelock,” Luke said, laughing.

“Hey, I had to interview everyone the night that Bryn had her initial run-in with Cartek.” Preston held up his hands in mock surrender. Luke was right, though. Mrs. Wheelock was a great source of information. She’d overheard Willow say that although she was attracted to Luke, after seeing how healthy the ménage relationships were within Triple she’d decided that a ménage was the route she wanted to take. “You do know that she signed up for that ménage dating website, don’t you?”

“Who?” Luke asked, looking confused. Preston kind of felt sorry for him. “Mrs. Wheelock?”

It was a good thing Preston hadn’t been drinking his coffee, or he was sure it would be down his white dress shirt by now. That was priceless.

“No, Deputy, not Mrs. Wheelock. Willow, your waitress.” Preston leaned in further, as if he was telling a secret. “It seems as if your young lady has a penchant for threesomes.”

Preston felt a little guilty as a look of shock fell over Luke’s face, but he pushed it aside. As Willow approached their table, he leaned back as she placed a mug in front of Luke and proceeded to pour him some coffee. He watched as the two exchanged prolonged stares before Willow then refilled his cup. Preston thanked her before she walked away.

“How the hell does Mrs. Wheelock get her information?” Luke asked, disbelief still shining in his eyes. “That’s got to be why she’d never have dinner with me. And here, I thought it all had to do with my age.”

“It does, in a way,” Preston said, pausing before he put into motion something that he couldn’t take back. “I don’t mean to get into your business, but I don’t think it’s fair that Mrs. Wheelock has all this information that could help you and then tells everyone else but you.”

“What else did the old busybody have to say?”

Preston picked up his coffee and delayed his response by taking a sip. People said that things happened for a reason, and he was tempted to agree. Hell, after this case brought him to a small town the size of a dot on a map, Preston would damn well agree. What were the odds that the revenge he had waited to dole out for the past four years would be handed to him on a silver platter?

“Just that between your age and her inclination for ménages, the combination is just too much for your little waitress.” Preston took another mouthful of coffee. “Although I hear she’d be open to the age thing if the third person in the relationship were a few years older than her, but a few years younger than you.”

“Really?” Luke seemed doubtful and kept glancing over at Willow. “I’ve never been one to share.”

“Well, then you best be moving on to another woman, cowboy.” Preston waited for the reality of the situation to sink in. Either Luke would have to give up on ever having a relationship with Willow, or he’d suck it up and find a man who he’d be able to share her with. When he saw the acceptance in Luke’s eyes, Preston went in for the kill. Revenge was going to be so sweet. “If you ever decide to give her what she wants, feel free to give me a call.”
