I continue to finger fuck her, building her back up before she has a chance to come back down. “You’ll take everything I give you,” I growl. I pump my fingers faster, tapping her G-spot over and over.

Her body shakes. Her words are unintelligible. She digs her nails into my thighs and releases a whine I’ve never heard before. She gives a guttural cry, flexes her pussy and explodes, shooting a spray of cum all over my fingers and her panties. “Oh, Fuck.”

I find her neck and dig my teeth in. She jerks away and I tighten my grip holding her into place. I want every motherfucker who sees her to know she’s taken. I’m done playing at being some tame lame ass motherfucker. I grab the side of her fragile underwear and yank. It gives way and she gasps. I toss the rags to the ground. I slap her hip. “Get your leg up and wrap it around my leg.” She complies, and I ram into her.

“Skull,” she screams my name.

I close my eyes and grit my teeth to keep from blowing my load. She’s soaking wet, hot, and tight. I’ve never been inside a woman who fits me so well before. I grip her hips and thrust inside hard and fast. The wet slap of skin on skin and the whimpers from her lips have me stroking deeper and deeper.

“Please, please, please.” She’s begging me.

I tighten my hand, pressing my thumb down just so on her windpipe. “Give it to me.” I pump faster.

Her leg stiffens, her body jerks, and she comes, hard.

I go off like a shaken pop bottle, flooding her pussy with cum. I press her up against the wall careful to balance the majority of my weight on my forearms. “You belong to me. This is my pussy and any thought you had of leaving is no longer an option. I’m going to take you when I want you, how I want, and you’re going to let me, aren’t you?”

“Yes,” she sobs her answer.

I kiss her cheek. “That’s a good girl. Turn around.” She turns to face me and I grip her hair. “On your knees.”

Our eyes lock and she trails her nails down my thighs. She loves tasting us. I’m giving her something back.

“I thought you were pissed at me.”

“Keep talking and watch how quick I take my cock back.”

She looks down and the asshole in me smirks. She grips my base and takes me deep.

“You look so good with your lips wrapped around my cock.” I grip her hair and allow her to set the pace. Her clever pink tongue trails along the vein on the underside of my cock and circles my head. She takes me deep and I come back to life. “You’re a little siren, aren’t you?” I tighten my grip on her hair, and she moans.

“Mmm-hmm.” She twists her wrist stroking me as she bobs her head, gagging and hollowing her cheeks.

The base of my spine tingles. My balls draw up and I spill down her throat. She captures it all. “Show me.”

She sticks out her tongue showing me the creamy white substance before she swallows it down.

I remove my cock from her lips and tuck it back into my pants. “Good girl. Now go get yourself cleaned up. We’re going to see Stone. Dress like an Old Lady would.” With the majority of my fury burned off, I can think beyond the rage I’ve shoved into a box. I can see her point of view. She hates her dad. From the sound of it, she spent her entire life trying to forget him. Its good on her that they changed their last name. It means they were trying to hide. Maybe I can spin the safety angle. We just got serious. If I tell him she brought it to me personally, he’ll be more lenient. The thought of lying to my President makes me sick, but what he might do to her if he thought she was a mole outweighs that.

I have a baby to protect. I’m going to do what I need to. The little white lie is going to mess with me. The anger flares again. “When were you going to tell me?”

“Tonight. After you had a chance to see what he did to my family. So you could understand how much I hate him,” she seethes.

I watch her move around the room. At twelve weeks pregnant, she’s starting to get the slightest hint of a baby bump. I can’t take my eyes of it. “You expect me to believe that?”

She pulls a tank top over her head and turns to pin me with a glare. “Yes, because it’s the truth.”

“You broke trust with me.”

“Not so easy to bare the things we hate most about ourselves. You should relate to that.”

“This is about me, not you. My shit didn’t put anyone in danger. This shit could get us both in some deep shit.”

Her eyes round and her lower lip trembles.

“This ain’t a fucking small thing. We’re not playing house. You’re pregnant with my kid and in everyone else’s eyes…You belong to me. That means your shit is my fault.”

Fear flickers in her green depths.

“You finally getting it? This shit might seem easy outside looking in, but your view has changed. You’re in this up to your neck and you need to adjust. You got any other skeletons libel to pop out of the closet…now’s the time to speak.”

“No.” She shakes her head. “I’m really not that interesting. What you see is what you get. This Daddy shit has always fucked with my head. It’s why I hid it. There’s shame there. I spent a lot of time feeling worthless. I mean, what kind of dad chooses drugs and shit over their child? Why weren’t we enough? Why wasn’t I? Not dealing with this shit is what got us here. For what it’s worth, I’m sorry.”

I ignore the part of me that wants to soften toward her. I need her to understand this shit won’t fly and can’t happen again. “Let’s just get through this.”

She shimmies into a pair of ripped up jeans and sits on the bed to put on her white tennis shoes.

I help her up and head for the door.

***

I pull into the lot, unexcited about being here for the first time I can remember since being a prospect. I resent Ruthie for that. I get off and wait for her to dismount. The vibe between us is icy at best. I place my hand on the small of her back and guide her inside.

The place is fairly quiet. Small groups of brothers line up at the bar, and around the pool table.

“Pres here?” I call out.

“In his office,” someone says.

I steer her through the clubhouse and down the hallway to the small room that serves as Stone’s office. I knock.

“Yeah.”

I push the door open. “You got a minute for us?” I ask.

“Yeah, come on in,” Stone says setting his laptop aside and leaning back into his chair. “Close the door behind you.”

Ruthie fidgets beside me.

“Sit,” I tell her.

She sinks into the chair closest to the wall.

Stone peers from me to her with eyes full if curiosity.

“So we did the meet the parent’s thing today and it turned into a complete cluster fuck. Turns out her family went through great lengths to separate themselves from her bio dad.”

“I sense I’m not going to like where this is going,” Stone replies with narrow eyes.

“Her Father is Gunner Gruppe.”

Stone blinks. “That slimy motherfucker who outed the M.C. brotherhood back in the day?”

Ruthie hangs her head.

“That’s the one.”

“How the fuck have you been among us and not said anything, little girl?” he growls.

“I didn’t think it mattered. Not until Skull and I got serious. We don’t talk, I haven’t seen him in over three years and that was at my sister’s wedding. The only connection we had to him after what he did growing up was the checks being deposited in our bank account.”

“You expect me to believe that bullshit?” Stone asks.

“It’s the truth. You’re going to find what I say is true. The courts ruled him an unfit parent. He couldn’t even see us, unless it was a monitored visit. We changed our name and moved to escape the fall out. I never told Blue because by then, it was a habit not to tell anyone. When Skull and I started, it wasn’t anything serious.”

“And then what? Cause last I checked y’all were on the rocks,” Stone says bluntly.

“I…” She glances at me.

“She got knocked up,” I say with a shrug.

“I don’t like complications, Skull.”

I clench my jaw. “I know. Brought it to you as soon as I heard,” I say skating around descriptive details to keep from lying. I took my patch in, seriously.

“Little girl, if I hadn’t known since you were knee high to a bean pole, I’d be ruining your life right now. As it is, we’re going to turn your shit upside down. I want access to bank accounts, emails, phone records, your home. I’m not putting my family at risk. From here on out, I want to know if you father so much as says boo to you. Understand?”

“Yes,” Ruthie says.

“Go wait at the bar for Skull.”

She pauses before she complies, closing the door behind her.

“What are you doing with that, man?”

“Making her my Old Lady.”

“Better make sure you can control her ass.”

“It won’t be a problem,” I answer, furious about how weak she’s making me look.

“Make sure. If I have to step in any further, it’s going to get ugly, brother.”

“I hear you,” I say.

“Good. Damn. A dad and an old man all in one pop?”

“Never was one for being dull,” I reply with a shrug.

“Get out of here and tell the brothers you have an Old Lady. The vultures out there love fresh meat and we all heard about your flower shop deliveries.”

I roll my eyes and make my way out to the bar.

Wizard’s Old Lady, Nevada, and her best friend Mimi, Riker’s woman are keeping her company. I sit back and watch her from the hall. She’s at ease in our world.

I let that familiarity fool me into thinking she knew what she was doing. I put my fingers in my mouth and let out a wolf whistle. “Listen up. The redhead sitting at the bar is now officially mine, so hands off you pervy bastards.”

A roar and squeals went up as the men rush forward to congratulate and give me shit. I should be happy right now, but I can’t see past my anger. I’m married to a woman I want to strangle. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
If you’re not careful, history might repeat itself.
The paranoid voice inside me rears its head again. “Brownie, get me a bottle of jack.”

The bartender scurries away to fulfill my request.

I meet Ruthie’s gaze, daring her to say shit.

She looks away and continues her conversation with the girls.

I get a sick sense of satisfaction out of it. I have to stay in control or we’ll both be lost.

Chapter Six

Ruthie

“I can’t believe after all this time, you didn’t tell me,” Blue whispers.

The hurt in her voice pains me. My shoulders slump as I peer up at her from beneath lowered lashes. “I thought about it.”

“And?” She crosses her arms beneath her chest.

“The time never seemed right. When we first met, I wasn’t telling a soul. Then when I found out who your family was, I got scared it would come in-between us. In the end, so much time passed it seemed irrelevant.”

“Until you started messing around with Skull. You had to know he’d unearth that.”

Her cheeks are flush, and I know she’s pissed not just for herself, but on Skull’s behalf. “I had no clue we’d end up here, Blue. Give me some credit.”

“No, you don’t get to be pissed at me for anything right now. You’re my best friend. We’re not supposed to keep the big stuff to ourselves,” she says.

“I’m sure you have plenty of things you can’t tell me.”

“That’s club related. I’m talking life stuff. Besides, now that doesn’t apply. I’m pissed we’re having this talk, instead of celebrating. I always thought of you as my sister. Now, it’s official.”

“I’m sorry B. If I could take it back, I would.”

“But you can’t.” She sighs. “How’s Skull taking it?”

“I’m not sure how to answer that question.”

Blue frowns. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“He’s a distant douche bag. I feel like he’s trying to punish me.”

“Punish? I don’t like the way this is sounding.”

“He’s not doing anything physical, just asserting his dominance, and throwing his weight around. He’s making me feel like being an Old Lady is like being a slave. I know that’s not the case.”

“Fucker is counting on the fact that you don’t know the ins and outs,” Blue mumbles.

“What do you mean?”

“Girl, you’re not a sweet butt. You get a say. He’s all up in his feelings and taking it out on you. I get that he’s upset, but we can’t have this. Not on my watch and not to my best friend.”

“Do I still have that title?”

“Forever. We’re bigger than this. Don’t put me in a place where I might have to choose between you or my club again.”

“I can agree to that,” I say relieved.

“I’m going to help you beat him at his own game. The way you start out in this life is the way you’ll continue. I’ve seen too many girls roll over for their men early on and get walked on until everything came to a head. That bun in the oven has your mouth running like a river. You could only go along with this for so long before you’d be slitting his throat in his sleep.”

“I’m not that bad.”

“Yet,” Blue whispers.

I shake my head. “I don’t want to embarrass him. I know it made him look bad, having to go to Stone with my bullshit.”

“Yeah, it did. That’s why we’ve got to turn you into the baddest bitch out there. The Old Lady everyone covets.”

“You got a miracle worker hidden around here?” I ask.

“You’re halfway there. You got the brains, the job, the smart mouth and the body. We just need to teach you how to reign it in and use that body of yours for evil.”

“What? I don’t know if Skull will like that.”

“Fuck him. He wants to play games…we’ll give him a worthy opponent.”

“Shouldn’t we be on the same team?” I ask.

“Oh no, all’s fair in love and war. He needs to see you have some of the power too.”

“I don’t know about all this, Blue.”

“Luckily for you, I do. Come on, we’re going to spend some money.”

“What?”

“This party tonight is for you too, not just him. He was going to let you roll up in there completely unprepared on purpose. Fuck that.”

“Unprepared for what? You’re making it sound like I need to be ready for war.”

“You do. Cause believe me, some bitch is going to test you, and all eyes are going to be on you, judging you. Get ready, because I’m about to give you a crash course. We’ll call it Old Lady 101.”

“I don’t know if that’s such a good—”

“Do you trust me?”

“Of course.”

“Then let me help you with this.” Blue grabs my hand and squeezes.

“Okay.”

Blue claps. “We’re going to have fun. Rule number one, Old Ladies stick together. This is a hard life and the men look out for one another. That means we have to hold each other down. There are some who don’t get onboard with this philosophy. I’ll point them out.” She links our arms. “Welcome to the first day of your new life. It’s a crazy one, but you have so many people here who love you. It’ll be easier for you than most Old Ladies.”

“I don’t see how when my
Old Man
hates my guts,” I state glumly.

“He doesn’t hate you. You don’t expend that much energy on a person you hate. Unless you’re exacting a revenge scheme. He’s hurt, licking his wounds, and trying to reaffirm his spot.”

I want to ask her if she knows his history, but it feels wrong. The last thing I want to do is give him more of a reason not to trust me. “I hope you’re right.”

As we head to the store, I can almost pretend it’s just another girls’ day. The knots in my stomach and the anxiety tightening my muscles make it impossible for me to hold onto the fantasy. Since our announcement, life has been a whirlwind. The club has searched every inch of my house, examined every bank account, and did things with phone records that made my head spin. I never realized how scary they could be until I was on the receiving end. Their resident hacker, Keys and I might as well be best friends. At this point, he knows more about me than I do.

We pull into a store I’ve never seen before. The black leather clad mannequins in hot pink and blonde wigs are so far out of my comfort zone, it’s not even funny. Their bikini tops and low slung leather pants leave nothing to the imagination.
Leather and Lace is a fitting name.

“Don’t let the display throw you off. They have tons of great stuff inside.”

“For someone else, maybe.”

“You have to come out of your shell and challenge your comfort zone, babe. You’re playing to win, right? This is for your family. Shake things up. Show him he doesn’t know you as well as he thought.”

“And if it pisses him off? I feel like I’m walking through a mine field.”

“You’ve never been the type to let a man run you, don’t change now.”

“I feel like I owe him. It’s screwing with my mental.”

“Don’t let it. You owe him respect and obedience when its safety related. Everything else is up for the two of you to decide. Do you think I’d be with Shadow if I had to obey him blindly?” She cocks her head and places her hand on her hips.

“That man worships the ground you walk on. It’s different.”

“Because we make it that way. You’ll see all kinds of arrangements in our life. That’s the beauty of it. The freedom to choose how you want to live without censor. We accept our own as they are.”

I nibble my lip. “Does everyone know about my dad?”

“I’m sure they do by now. Shadow hasn’t said anything to me personally. But I’d guess they let everyone know and are keeping a look out.”

“Well then, they can let me know if they find something because I haven’t seen that asshole in three years since Rochelle’s wedding.”

“You really don’t talk at all?” Blue asks.

I shake my head. “Nothing to say. He’s never taken an interest in us. I think he only had us to appease Mom. I wonder about her back then. She presents this buttoned up persona. But there’s no way she was like that and caught Dad’s attention.”

“Have you asked her?”

“No, we don’t’ get deep. My mom does judgment, approval, and bitching. I think after everything with my dad, she just formed a wall and refused to let anyone in, unless they come to her on the terms she has set.”

“That’s pretty fucked up, Ruthie. She can’t punish you for what he’s done.”

“You’ve seen how it works between us over the years.”

“Yeah, but I have my own Mommy issues. I figured it was because you were so different from her and Rochelle. She’s always been more of a people pleaser.”

“It’s true. I was glad when she went to college a few hours away. It got her out from underneath Mom’s thumb.”

“Why are you so different?”

“I’m not sure. I think because I saw how my father completely screwed over my mother, and the way it affected her and us. My sister was young. She was six when my mom
separated
and seven when we left Los Angeles. She either blocks it out, or was too young to remember. Everyone deals differently.” I shrug. It took too much energy to remain angry over the way things went. I was more interested in never repeating history. If a man tried to run me in any way, I was out of there. Ironic, given the position I find myself in now. The thought re-ignites a spark. He’d taken the piss out of me a week ago. I’m ready to fight back now.

“You know, for a minute there, I forgot who the fuck I was. Let’s go do this!” I exclaim.

“There’s my girl,” Blue crows, issuing a nod of approval. “Let’s give you the Old Lady makeover.”

***

I feel like a sixteen-year-old waiting on her prom date. I barley recognize myself in the mirror. My dark red hair has been tamed and slicked back into a high ponytail. My boobs are all but popping out of the tight black, Kings of Chaos, tank top gifted to me by Blue. The tiny black leather skirt and black heeled boots completes the outfit. I’m showing plenty of skin, but covering the essentials. My makeup is darker tonight with smoky eyes, cat eyeliner, and mascara for days. I coated my lips in the nude s’mores lip-gloss I know Skull loves.

The sounds of bikes in the distance makes my stomach drop into my shoes.

“The boys are here,” Blue says in a sing song voice.

“I love you, but right now your deep case of love with your husband makes me want to punch you.”

Blue laughs. “Don’t let the nerves get to you. You look amazing. He’s going to swallow his tongue.”

Or just jump down my throat.

She stares hard at me. “Whatever you’re thinking, stop.”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“You’re wrinkled brow said it all. Quite being negative.”

“I prefer to call it realism.”

“Pessimism is more like it,” Blue scoffs.

The sound of bikes rolling into the driveway ends our conversation.

All too soon, the lock is turning and the door opens.

Shadow steps in and gives a low whistle. “Looking sexy tonight, ladies,” he says.

Blue grins and rotates. “You like?”

“I fucking love it, babe. I ain’t going to let your fine ass out of my sight.”

I hold my breath as Skull walks in.

His eyes bulge from his head and his jaw drops.

I bite my lip to hold back the full blown grin threatening to emerge. I’m supposed to be playing it cool. I cock my left hip to the side. “Old Lady enough for the party?”

“Huh? Uh—yeah.” He nods. He licks his lips, and his dark gaze glints with lust.

Got you.

“Should you be wearing those?” He nods his head toward the floor.

“At this stage in the game, it’s fine.” In his concern for our child, I see a glimpse of the man I fell in love with.

His facial expression smooths over. “Good. We should get going then.”

I glance over my shoulder at Blue who winks. I pray my crash course on ridiculously high heels holds as I follow Skull for the door.
