Our bliss didn’t last long. Marion and Frank called worried sick about West. I wanted to hog him for myself and make him keep repeating that he loved me. But I couldn’t’ do that.
It would be happening later though.
“West, this is a family matter. Your friend needs to leave,” Lilly said, pursing her lips.
In case you had forgotten she was mother of the year for 15 years and running.
“Her name is Maddie. She’s my girlfriend and she’s staying. After you left I walked around like a zombie, until she brought me back to life. She was my angel through all of this. She loved the lost little boy you left and she made me the man I am. She makes me want to be better. So, if anyone is going to leave you know where the door is. Or do you? I mean the last time you were here you were drugged out of your mind. Remember? The day you dropped me off here so you and that excuse for a father could leave without even giving me a goodbye kiss,” West said, locking his jaw.
“Don’t talk that way to your mother, boy!” West’s father, Brad, yelled.
“Real cute. You wanna play daddy now? It’s too late. I can talk to her anyway I want and there’s not shit you can do about it. She’s not my mother. She gave away that title when I was five. “
I had never seen him so mad. But the hurt was there too. It was written all over his face.
He had every reason in the world to be angry with them. They left him fifteen years ago because they loved drugs more than their own son.
But the kicker was that they had a twelve year old son that they chose over drugs. They had been clean all this time and never even gave West a phone call.
“Andy, come in here please?” Lilly called to West’s brother.
Watching him walk in the room, I felt my breath hitch. He looked just like West. Feeling West tense up beside me, I gently rubbed his back.
“What was the difference between me and him? Why could you turn your life around for him but not for me? I’m your son too,” he said, placing his hand on my knee.
“We were at a bad place in our lives when we had you. And we wouldn’t change a thing,” His father said, sitting beside his wife.
I couldn’t believe that had just came from his father’s mouth. How could anyone leave their child and not regret it? But most of all how could they break his heart all over again by saying it?
“You could have been better for me but you didn’t want to,” West said.
Marion was sobbing uncontrollably, so Frank took her to the kitchen to try to calm her down.
“We had a second chance at a good life with Andy. We could do everything with him that we missed with you,” his mother said, rubbing Andy’s hair.
“And that’s supposed to make everything okay? What about my second chance? What about my childhood? I don’t get that back and that’s your fault! I used to cry myself to sleep because you made me feel like I wasn’t good enough,” West said with tears pooling in his eyes, “But I stopped crying when I realized something. I realized that you loved yourselves more than you ever loved me. And that you weren’t spending your time crying over me.
They stayed silent because they knew he was right. Looking at them, I didn’t see one tiny bit of sympathy or concern for their son. Or his feelings.
West looked so down. Anyone that made him feel like that was on my shit list. And his so called parents were about to feel the wrath of Maddie Thomas.
“You should be ashamed of yourselves! You completely ruined his childhood. Because of you he built up walls around his heart and was too scared to let anyone in. But you know what? He doesn’t need you. He has wonderful grandparents who always put him first, amazing friends who consider him family, and he has me. I love him and unlike you I’ll never abandon him,” I told him, jumping up from my seat, “People like you make me sick. He’s your son too, you know?”
“Raising West put a lot of stress on us and at the time we weren’t ready for that. We had to escape. If we would have stayed with him we couldn’t have lived our lifestyle,” his father said, trying to make me see his side of things, “But with Andy we were ready to have a child.”
“Really? Three years made that much of a difference for you two? And stop trying to blame your mistakes on him. He was five years old! All the blame here goes on you and your wife.”
“What does any of this have to do with you little girl?” Lilly asked in an overly bitchy tone.
And let me tell you she took resting bitch face to the next level.
“Get out,” West growled.
“You heard him, Maddie. He wants you to leave,” his mother said, smiling like she had just won the lottery.
I wonder what she would have spent it on. Any guesses?
“Are you sure you’re clean? Because you couldn’t be in your right state of mind to think I would put her out of here. I was talking to you,” West said, eyeing his mother down.
“How could you kick your mother and father out?” she asked in a sugary sweet tone.
“How could you leave your kid?” West fired back.
With that they sped out of the door. I had heard about West’s parents but actually seeing them in action made me respect my own parents so much.
I was lucky to have parents that put me first and would never dream of leaving me.
Climbing in West’s lap, I wrapped my arms around his neck.
“Babe, are you okay?”
“No, but I will be. Will you promise me something?”
“Anything.”
“Promise you’ll never give up on me. I’m gonna do some dumb shit and I’m get on your nerves but I love you. Don’t ever forget that.”
Could he have been any more perfect?
“Will you promise me something?’ I asked, running my hands through his hair.
“I’d promise you the moon and the stars if I could.”
Nope, there was no way for him to be any more perfect.
“Promise you won’t run anymore. If you’re scared talk to me,” I told him, feeling my heart jump from the way he was looking at me.
“Run from a face like that?” he said, tipping my chin up with one finger, “Angel, I’m not running but don’t you know by now that when I run it’s not for long. I always come back. There’s no way I could leave you alone. Believe me I’ve tried.”
Moving my mouth closer to his, I gave him chaste kisses.
“You can do better than that, Angel.”
“I know but your grandparents are in the next room. You’ll just have to wait,” I told him, hopping of his lap.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“I’m not sure but I sure hope you follow me.”
“Old people! I’ll be back tonight. Wait, scratch that. Judging by the look on Maddie’s face she wants her some West and I won’t home until tomorrow,” he yelled, winking at me.
He was such a goofball and with West no subject was ever off limits. The boy had no filter.
“West Anderson! You don’t talk that away about a lady!” Marion scolded him.
“But she’s not really a lady. She’s really kinky,” he said, biting his lip.
Walking over to him, I started swatting at his shoulder.
“Asshole.”
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding. She’s a lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets,” West said, nudging my arm.
“Shut up,” I told him, folding my arms.
“There’s no shame in that, Angel.”
Without answering him, I walked out of the door. Running toward my jeep, I heard the front door slam.
“Maddie, you just told me you wouldn’t give up on me. I told you I was going to stay stupid shit. You promised you wouldn’t give up on me,” he said with the saddest look on his face.
He shouldn’t have joked around like that. If he would have done it in front of our friends I would have laughed. But I didn’t want his grandma to think I liked to tie her grandson up and do bad things to him. I did but she didn’t need to know that. She was old, stuff like that could give her a heart attack.
But as I watched him run toward me, I felt silly for letting that worry me after everything we had been through today. Good and bad.
“I’m not giving up on you, babe. I’m sorry for being a drama queen. You’ve been through enough today. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, Angel. I was just testing you to see if you would keep your promise,” he said, walking closer to me.
“Are you kidding me?”
I thought he was going to have some smartass response but he didn’t. He pushed me against the door of the jeep and slipped his hands under my shirt.
“Now, let’s go to your apartment and you can show me just how sorry you are,” he said, pulling my center on to his hardening erection.
Was he ever not hard?
West had two sides to him, super silly and super sexy. And he could flip from one to the other in a second.
At that moment he was feeling super sexy and I wasn’t complaining.
Not one bit.
His hands went from my stomach on to my breast.
“Let’s do that,” I moaned as he rubbed my nipples with his thumbs.
Kissing me, he removed his hands and led me to the passenger side.
Climbing in, I felt him smack my ass.
I couldn’t wait for him to lay me on my bed and rock my world.
I just hoped Grace wasn’t home because if she was she was going to get an earful.
Maybe West was right, I was a tad bit kinky.
But who wouldn’t want to get kinky with West?
Yeah, that’s what I thought.
When we walked through the door, West picked me to carry me to my room. Grace was sitting on the couch reading a book.
“Aw! You guys back together? Oh, and West I heard about your parent’s if you need to talk I’m here,” she said, attempting a smile.
“Thanks, Gracie. But things are about to get hot and loud. Like real hot and loud. And in like ten minutes this place is going to smell like hot, dirty sex, so if you want to leave get to stepping,” he said, pushing my bedroom door open.
Throwing her book down, she quickly slipped on her shoes and coat. Grabbing her keys, she slammed the door.
We both scrambled to get our clothes off. We didn’t have time for foreplay, we needed each other.
It wasn’t going to sweet and sensual. It was going to be hard, dirty, and rough.
He quickly slipped on a condom. And he even in a rush he made it look so sexy.
He had a lot of emotions to let out and I was perfectly fine with him taking them out on me.
Just like I liked it.
Laying down on the bed, a glimmer of silver caught my eye. Looking down at his penis, I saw the piercing.
Part of me was mad that he went and got it without me. But the other part of me didn’t care because I knew how good it was going feel when he rammed into me.
He didn’t waste any time climbing on top of me. And without any warning he pushed inside of me.
I didn’t moan, I growled. He ripped in and out of me with all of his strength and it was almost animalistic.
His new piercing kept hitting me in all the right places. And every time I felt it I had to bite my lip to keep from letting out an earth shattering scream.
I don’t think the neighbors would have been too happy about that.
“And you got mad when I called you kinky.”
“Shut up. Find something better to do with your mouth,” I told him, bending my toes back in pleasure.
Listening to me, he started grazing his teeth on my neck. Every time he moved his mouth his lip ring danced across my skin.
“Every man should get pierced, it should be a requirement,” I said, scraping his back with my pitch black nails.
Without pulling out of me, he rolled over on his back. Sitting on top of him, I began to rock back and forth.
“You like it?”
“I love it.”
Sex with West was always fantastic but his new piercing made this feel like a new experience. He grabbed my hair and pulled my face down to his. Feeling the tip of his tongue touch my lips, I let him in and our tongues twisted around one another. Moaning into his mouth, I felt a quivering deep down inside of me.
My body shook until I had fully finished. Never had I ever had an orgasm that strong. Or that fast.
“I’m almost done, Angel. Keep moving,” West said breathlessly.
I grinded on top of him like I was giving him a lap dance. Putting his lip on my shoulder, I felt his erection pump into me one more time before collapsing.
“Best sex ever,” he said, gasping for breath.
Laying on top of him, I rubbed his chest. His penis was still deep inside of me but I didn’t have the strength to move. I was worn.
“Angel, I love being inside of you but what do you say we clean up and watch a movie? We could order in,” West said, placing his hands on my ass.
“That sounds great, babe.”
After we cleaned up and got dressed, West ordered pizza and chicken wings. Waiting on the food, we sat on the couch cuddled up under a blanket scrolling through Netflix.
I kept waiting on West to make a Netflix and chill joke.
“How about Halloween?” West asked, looking at me.
“What do you think?”
“Yeah, stupid question,” he said hitting play.
Right as Laurie Strode was going to babysit Tommy Doyle, someone knocked on the door.
“I’ll get it and when I return we can watch Netflix and chill, if you know what I mean,” West said, getting up from the couch and winking at me.
I knew it.
As he paid the pizza man I thought about the secret from our past that I was still holding deep inside of me. He had lost as much as me that night. But he didn’t know it.
I had to tell him but I couldn’t do it now. His parents had just came back in his life and dropped a twelve year old bombshell on him.
He couldn’t handle the atomic bomb I was hiding.
Not yet.
“Angel? You couldn’t be that into Michael Meyers. You’ve seen this movie a million times. I think it’s lost its shock value,” West said, sitting the pizza on the dining room table, “What’s on your mind?”
“I’m thinking about your new piercing,” I lied, walking over to join him at the table.
“You naughty girl, get your mind out of the gutter.”
Laughing, I placed some food on my plate.
“Do you want to talk about your parents?” I asked, without thinking.
“No.”
His reply was short and his tone was rude. But I couldn’t blame him and I would have probably reacted the same way if it had been me in his situation.
Getting up, I walked over and sat in his lap. Picking up his pizza, I held it to his mouth for him to take a bite.
He bit into the cheesy pizza and looked at me with a huge smile on his face.
Sitting the pizza down, I reached for a napkin but he grabbed my hand.
“That’s the best pizza I have ever eaten,” he said, licking the pizza sauce from my finger.
Closing my eyes, I let out a moan.
We leaned closer to each other but my phone started ringing and interrupted us. I hate technology.
Okay, that was a lie. I loved it but not when it rang when I was about to kiss my super sexy boyfriend.
“Hello?” I said into the phone.
“How’s West?” Emma asked through a mouthful of food.
Ever since she got pregnant she could eat enough for a small country.
“He’s fine, Ems. I’m with him right now.”
“Are you naked and having sexy time?”
West shook his head and laughed.
Pregnancy had made Emma so horny that it had caused Roman to be on cloud nine. A huge smile was always plastered to his face.
“We’ve already had said sexy time, Ems. We were about to have more sexy time and then you called.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. Grace wants to know when will it be safe for her to come home?”
“Tell her to find somewhere else to live. I’m going to be here a lot and I’m going have mind blowing sex with her roommate,” West said, winking at me.
Laughing, I kissed him on the cheek.
“I’ll call you back, Ems.” I told her, hanging the phone up not even giving her the chance to say goodbye.
“She’s going to be so pissed at you,” West said, laughing.
“I don’t care. I want to spend time with you with no distractions, babe.”
“I love you,” he said, caressing my cheek.
That was one thing I knew I would have never get tired of hearing him say.
“I love you,” I told him, not bothering to hide the goofy grin that was forming on my face.
I had loved him since I was fifteen years old. I had told him years ago that I loved him and to finally hear it back was exhilarating.
“When did you know?” I asked, filling the comfortable silence.
“Know what?” he asked, eyebrows drawn together in confusion.
“That you loved me.”
I watched his eyes light up as he if he was remembering the exact moment.
“Honestly?”
I nodded.
“I’ve always known it. I knew I could love you the day I had to tow your car. But I knew I loved you after a few weeks of dating because I had always felt like I was a lost cause. Like I couldn’t be saved and you made me feel hope that I could. You saved me from myself. My parents leaving really did something to me and I couldn’t help but think if I wasn’t good enough for them how could I be good enough for anyone else?” he said, looking down at the floor.
“So, that’s why you always called me angel?”
“That’s what you were for me. You still are. When you got that necklace I figured you knew and that’s why you got it,” he said, pointing to my angel wing necklace.
I should have told him why my parents got me it but right now wasn’t the right time. Or so I kept telling myself.
In all reality I was too scared of his reaction because I knew I was wrong for not telling him when it happened.
He should have been there that night no matter what he had done.
It wasn’t my secret, it was ours. And I felt the guilt eating me up inside.
I was going to have to toughen up and tell him.
I was going to get right on that.
Just not right then. I wanted to us to be happy for a little while longer but how long would I be able to ignore the sick feeling in my stomach?
Sitting there, my phone alerted me of a new text. I already knew who it was from before ever checking it.
