Wasting no time, she tried to move closer, but it was too cramped for the both of them. “Well, what now?"

"Turn around, then scoot back, and sit on my lap.” She complied. Thankfully, the tub was deep. “Now, lay back."

As her back slowly molded to his muscular chest, she tried to keep her hair out of his face. “Sorry."

"I got it.” He grabbed a handful and tucked it over one of her shoulders. “Relax."

"I'm trying to.” And she was. It certainly wasn't an easy task. What she really wanted to do was turn around and take him deep inside her and scream in ecstasy.

"Can you see well enough to read to me?” His big hands settled, one on her abdomen, the other on her thigh.

"You want me to read to you?” The poor book was getting a little wet at the bottom, but so far she managed to keep it mostly dry and above water.

"Yes."

Now, this was a scenario she had never thought about with Heath, yet here she was, on his lap, where a very large erection nuzzled her butt cheeks, lying back on his chest, in a tub filled with bubbles and candles providing the light.

"Okay.” She opened the book and began to read. She made it about three pages in when his hands began to wander. “Are you listening?"

"Mmm hmmm.” He kissed her temple.

She continued on. The romance novel Bethany had supplied wasn't a romance at all! It was a little book of erotica. Currently, the two main characters were getting it on in the tub. Heath apparently enjoyed her reading about it. His heart pounded against her back through his chest. Her heartbeat tried to match its pace. When he stopped stroking her gently in long languid touches up and down her thighs and along her sides, she thought he was going to tell her to stop.

"Keep going,” his voice was rough and husky. His hands moved in opposite directions. One moved to her breast; the other moved to her pussy. “Keep reading to me. I love how your voice sounds when you're excited."

Oh boy!

She was excited alright. As his fingers wrapped around her nipple to place a gentle tug on the hardened bud, she thought she might spontaneously combust from the pleasure. “Heath."

"Read some more, just a little bit.” He licked the side of her neck. With a shaky voice, she continued to read. Little gasps and whimpers escaped as Heath teased her clitoris to an impossible state of arousal.

She was on the verge of losing control; she felt violent. Like if he didn't finish what he started and soon she would punch him. Ridiculous she thought, until he again left her clit to touch her thigh.

"Dammit, Heath!” Her reaction startled them both. He stopped moving both of his hands and lifted his lips from her neck.

"Did I hurt you?” He was frozen in place. The heat of embarrassment crept over her cheeks.

"No.” She shook her head and closed the book. “I just lost it for a second there. I was so close, too close, and you stopped."

His relief was palpable. He grabbed the chain stopper with his toes and pulled the bathtub plug. “Okay. Let's get dried off then."

"Dried off?” There was that sharp tongue again. Her body shook from the need. How could he stop?

"You don't want to do it here, do you?” He took the book and tossed it on the floor beside them.

She thought about it for a single heartbeat. “Yes."

She leaned up and then turned to face him. He sat up, probably expecting her to get out of the tub, but she surprised him by straddling his lap again. Facing him, the same way she was when he carried her into the bathroom. He started to ask her something. She cut him off by kissing him. If he wanted to make her wild, he had succeeded. If he didn't want to give up control tonight, he should have finished her off when he had the chance.

Chapter 8

This wasn't the same woman who got into the bathtub cranky and tired. This wasn't the woman discovering her sexuality in the bed of his truck. This was simply his wife in a ravenous state. One he had successfully put her into. One he planned every bit to enjoy. Hopefully, Bethany wouldn't kill him for picking up the wrong book off the counter. The mistake was turning out to be one hell of a good thing.

He felt the tug on his hair a little rougher than usual; then she finally let him up for air. “What do you...?"

"Shut up and fuck me.” She looked a little crazy at the moment, her body pink from the warm bath, her hair half wet and half dry with bubbles in it, but her eyes expressed a need that went deeper than anything he remembered seeing in her before. A wild hunger. If it was possible, his body tensed even more. Blood pushed through his veins like a tidal wave, and Chance impaled herself on his dick with one smooth thrust.

"Jesus!"

"Chance. You call out my name, no one else's.” Then, she bit his lip.

Deep inside him an urge to put her in her place surfaced. He wasn't about to be dominated by her.
Oh lordy.
Until she did that twisting thing. “Chance."

"Yes, Heath, say my name.” His toes curled and eyes crossed as he fought the release. Whatever she was chasing, she hadn't caught it yet. Unfortunately, the push-pull, up and down, combined with the twist-rock of her hips left him at the end of his rope.

As Chance slid tip to root one more time, he gripped her hips and held her there as he came. It was like the Fourth of July; fireworks burst before his shut eyes. As the sensations passed, a sated, lazy feeling came over him. Gently, he kissed her neck, her cheek. When he opened his eyes, the most fierce, angry expression looked back at him.

"Did you come?"

"Well, yeah, Honey. You didn't give me much choice.” He nuzzled her cheek kissed the corner of her frowning lips.

"Heath, you have to get back up. You have to finish this.” She pushed at his chest.

"You have to calm down.” He looked at her. She was still wound up.

"I have to come!” Her shout was desperate. “Look at me."

"You're trembling and twitching, I know.”
Enough
. He needed to take control of this situation. Chance thought she wanted to be in charge, but she didn't. Too much power was just that, too much for her. She needed to be loved, caressed, and worked into a frenzy but not into a tirade. “Stand up."

"What?"

"If you raise your voice one more time.” She stood without another word. Her legs visibly trembled; her hands shook. If it wasn't for the attitude, he may have been hard again. “Now, back up so I can get out of here."

"Where are you going?” she asked in a whisper.

"Taking you to bed.” He stretched as he got out of the tub. Her eyes were softer, less demanding. “Come here."

She stepped closer. “But we're still wet."

"We'll change the blanket, Sweetheart.” Pulling the weight of her into his arms, he carried her to their bed. She lay back and watched him like a scared rabbit. “Now. You have to relax."

"I can't relax. I feel like I'm falling apart.” Her hands pulled at him.

"No.” He grabbed her wrists and held them over her head in one fist. “Shhh. Close your eyes."

She did but not before glaring at him one last time with a murderous intent. He almost smiled.

"Take a deep breath and let it out slow. Think about your body. Think about my voice. Focus on the sensations.” He kissed her cheek then the corner of her mouth softly. “Legs down."

"I'm trying."

"Shhh, just do it.” Heath used his free hand to push her raised knees. She slid her heels along the blanket until finally her legs were straight. “You're beautiful, you know?"

She shook her head no.

"You think if you fuck harder that you'll get more out of it, but that's not you. You need to be stroked and caressed. Do you feel my hand?"

She shook her head yes.

"Good. Now, concentrate on the motion of it. See. Over your belly, down into your curls.” Her sharp intake of breath reignited his desires. “Do you like when I touch you here, like this?"

"Yes, yes, yes.” She lifted her hips to meet his fingers adding to the pressure.

"No, no, no.” He pulled his hand back. “Stop trying to force it, Chance. You can't bully your way through this."

She groaned.

"Breathe, Sweetheart. Just breathe."

As she complied, he slid his fingers back in between the folds of her aching pussy. She wanted to come so badly it hurt. She didn't know what happened to her in the bathroom. First, he was teasing her, building her up over and over again. The sensations took over. She needed him, fast, hard and right then. Only she still couldn't come. Now, she lay on their bed trying to relax. Trying to fight the ache inside, trying to let go of everything and just be honest with herself. She did want him to be in control. It was the fear of letting him have control completely that surfaced and changed everything.

Inhale, exhale sloooowly.

"Mmmm, that's it,” Heath cooed in her ear and let go of her wrists. “Open your legs."

Without thought, her legs sprawled at his request. His large body moved to settle between her thighs. His hand held her open, and the head of his penis nudged at her swollen opening. “Heath?"

"I was focusing on you,” he said as he slid inside her. “I love you."

He rocked slowly and deeply. His mouth came down on hers, and the instant his tongue swept her mouth, she came. Hard violent waves ripped through her, making her moan in his mouth. He didn't stop; he didn't pause. He simply kept making love to her.

"God, Heath.” She pulled out of his kiss to breathe. Her hands gripped his back. Her legs wrapped around his hips, everything pulling him closer, tighter. The heat from his body, the smell of their lovemaking, the candles in the bathroom, and bubble bath all washed over her.

"Tell me you love me.” He kissed her before she could.

"I love you."

"Again.” He groaned, and his pace picked up.

"I love you.” Another climax built with each word.

"Again.” His eyes locked with hers; the intensity ignited a new fire.

"I love you, Heath. I swear I ... Oh, Heath."

"You're pregnant.” Doctor Denton nodded then offered them some jelly beans in a clear glass jar. “No? Well, suit yourself."

"You're sure?” Chance gripped Heath's hand with a crushing force.

"Blood test says yes.” He chewed the jelly beans. “So, let's get you all set up. You folks got any questions?"

"No, sir.” Heath beamed. Looking at him, she thought he had what they called a new mother's glow, except he wasn't pregnant, she was.

"Yes. I do.” He looked at her his eyebrows raised in question. She looked at the doctor still chewing jelly beans by the handful. “I had a miscarriage. How long before I know for sure this baby is safe?"

"Safe from what?” Heath asked her then looked at the doctor. “Oh my God, we had sex last night. That won't..."

Doctor Denton almost choked on his jelly beans. “No, no. You're safe there; just keep pressure off the belly. Your miscarriage was due to an accident. I have no reason to believe you can't carry the child to term, but if you're worried, you can keep it between the two of you for another couple months, and you'll be in the clear."

"Wait a second, how often do women lose babies?” Heath now gave the same questioning brow to the doctor.

"Depends, but often enough that most women want to get past three months before making announcements and plans,” Doctor Denton said then looked to her. “But you're going to be fine. I've got your vitamin prescription right here, a book that tells you all you need to know, and Susan will set you up for your next check up. Okay?"

"Okay.” He really was a sweet old man. He delivered most of the babies in the area. How could she not trust him? If he said they would be fine, they would be fine.

The acceptance of something so simple made her tummy bubble with excitement. Suddenly, she knew what Heath was feeling. This was real. They were pregnant. Everything was working out in her life for a change.

"Are you gonna eat that?” Heath grabbed the rest of her sandwich and polished it off.

"I can't believe the last time I was here was with your sister, getting ready to go to a sex shop.” She took another deep breath and enjoyed the fresh air. Her head was back, her eyes closed, a smile permanently placed on her lips. When Heath never replied, she opened her eyes and looked at him.

She laughed. His face looked so shocked. “What? You think she's still innocent? She's married."

"No,” he lied. Heath still looked at Jan as his baby sister more often than not. “I was wondering what
you
got there."

"Me?"

"Did you get anything?” He shifted forward in his seat and put on a teasing grin. “Must not be anything good because you haven't shared it."

"I got a gown, a personal massager, and a video,” she said with as much seriousness as she could muster.

"Get in the truck.” His eyes lit up with mischief. “I want to see it, all of it."

"The video isn't that good.” She bit her lips.

"You watched it without me?” He seemed offended.

"You were off wrangling cattle, Cowboy."

"So, what else did you do?” He opened the truck door and helped her climb in.

"That's between me and my battery operated buddy."

"I'll kill that damn thing."

"Are you jealous?” She laughed.

"Hell, yes.” He laughed then leaned over to kiss her. “I want to be the only one who makes you crazy."

"Well, you have succeeded in that.” He took offense and began to tickle her. “Heath! Stop, I'll pee."

"Not in the truck, please.” He settled into the driver's seat, started the engine, and headed them home.

Home.

Her heart was overflowing. Then, it occurred to her they would tell Bethany and Jack.

"Heath, this is going to hurt your brother and Bethany, isn't it?” Never before did she care about so many people. Never before did so many people care for her.

"No. They will deal with it. Besides, they're trying. It will give them incentive to catch up,” he reasoned.

"I would never want to hurt Bethany. She's..."

"Special. Yeah, I know.” He nodded. “Jack is a different man now. I never thought I'd see the day he grew up."

"I wonder if your mom will come out more after the baby's here. You should tell her to bring her new boyfriend."

"Let's talk about something else.” Heath still wasn't ready to see his mother as a single woman and dating.

"What about baby names?"

"If it's a boy, I want to name him after my paw. If it's a girl, I'll probably have a heart attack, so name her after me.” He laughed.

"You'll be fine.” She stroked his jean clad thigh and reveled in the smell of his aftershave, the warmth of his body next to her in the truck. She leaned her head over to rest on his shoulder. “I hope we have a little girl."

"Why's that?” He kissed the top of her head then focused on the road again.

"Because I never knew my father. I know that if I had a man like you when I was a kid, I wouldn't be so screwed up now. I want my little girl to grow up and know a good man when she sees him and not to be scared to death when he loves her back.” She squeezed his thigh.

"Well, he better be scared to death of her daddy because my little girl won't be dating.” He smiled. She knew when the time came, Heath would walk his daughter down the aisle, and the man he gave her hand to would be a good one. She felt lucky she found him by accident. Her little girl would know the difference and not by mistake. Chance continued to daydream as they rode home. Somewhere along the line she dozed off.

"Good Lord.” He lifted her out of the truck. She was snoring by the time they got home. “Sleeps like the dead I swear."

Struggling to balance his wife and get the door, he was grateful when Rafe showed up in time to help him out.

"So, what's the word?” Rafe whispered.

"You can talk. She can't hear. Woman sleeps solid.” He carried Chance through the door and down the hallway. Rafe followed.

"Well?"

"Yep."

"Hot Damn!” Rafe shouted, and Chance jerked awake.

"What, what?” She almost leaped out of his arms.

"Damn it, Rafe.” He gently set her on the bed. “Now look."

"You said she slept solid."

"Not through shouting, you moron.” He smacked Rafe on the shoulder.

"My bad,” Rafe apologized to Chance who curled up on the bed and went right back to sleep. “See, she didn't mind."

"You.” He started toward the door with Rafe behind him. “I ought to take you outside and put a foot in your ass."

"No time for that, big brother.” Rafe smiled. “I came here because I need a hand in the stables. I think Maybell might foal tonight."

"My wife is pregnant,” he reminded him.

"But she ain't foaling tonight.” Rafe dodged his foot in time. “I'm glad you're having kids now. You're getting slow in your old age."

"Why you little.” They were off, running like two kids for the barn. His body woke up. His muscles stretched and pulled. When he finally caught Rafe by the back of his shirt, a couple of the guests turned the corner. He stopped short. Rafe kept going, and the shirt remained in his fist.

Cat calls and applause followed. Heath looked up to see a group of middle aged women laughing and fanning themselves as Rafe nearly ran them over. He overheard one woman claim this was why she came on vacation in the first place. He laughed as Rafe, normally the ladies man, blushed and fumbled out of their reach. Tourists were not the average Montana women. They were on vacation. Maybe it allowed them to be freer than usual.

"Thanks a lot.” Rafe snatched his shirt, what was left of it anyways, out of his hand.

"And Bethany thinks we need to hire entertainment staff.” He laughed.

Rafe still eyed the t-shirt. “It's shredded. The kids gave it to me.” He looked wounded. Heath didn't like it one bit. He sure as hell didn't like his brother caught up with a woman and two kids. If Layla returned an ounce of affection, it wouldn't be a problem, but she was cold, and his little brother was in so deep she could grow horns and a tail, and he would still call her an angel.

"Ugh. I'll replace it.” They walked toward the stables.

"It's not that. It's just they don't have money. So for them to spend their money on me just—"

"I know.” Heath placed a hand on Rafe's shoulder. “Let's see what we can do about Maybell."
