I slept fitfully.
In the middle of the night, I heard my name being called. I startled awake and
glanced over at the alarm clock. It was past two a.m. in the morning. I rubbed
the sleep from my eyes and sat straight up in the bed. I planted my foot on the
floor and paced across the room, over to the window where the familiar voice
was coming from. I snatched the blinds back and glared into Blunt's face.

“Blunt, what the
hell do you want at this time of the morning? Go layup with one of your bitches
and leave me alone!” I shouted through the window.

“Let me in, Baby.
I’m lost without you,” he slurred barely audible.

“Well,
if you’re lost, tell Mika or Luscious to come find you and get your ass away
from my door, or I'm calling the police.”

We
argued back and forth for awhile until he finally gave up. “Aight
  Mo',
” he said, and stumbled away.

Normally, I would
have felt sorry for him and let him in, but those days were gone.

Just as I crawled
back into bed, I heard a loud bang on my front door.

Never Miss Ya Water Till Your Well Runs Dry
Blunt

After I left the
confrontation wit’ Mo’ and Rocco, Mika, the kids, and I went back to her place.
I could tell that she was heated because she hardly said a word.

“What’s your
problem?” I questioned her as she walked into the kitchen on her way from
putting the baby to bed.

She whirled around
and the expression on her face read,
When A Woman’s Fed Up.

“Where do you want
me to start?” she asked wit’ a hand placed on her hip.

From the sofa I
answered, “It don’t even matter.” I really didn’t give a damn what her problem
was. She should have known that a bitch is the couch and a nigga is the rug.
Always on top.

“First of all,
Blunt, you treat me like shit,” she complained. “How do you think that made me
feel for you to sit up and act an ass over another bitch?”

She placed her hand
over her mouth like she had said the wrong thing. “Oh, excuse me. I’m not going
to call that woman out of her name because I don’t even know her, and she’s
never done anything to me. Anyway, it was so embarrassing to see you act like
that over another woman. I realized at that moment that none of us means shit
to you. With a nigga like you, it’s an ego thing. You think each one of us is
your possession. Well, I’m with Mo’ now, I don’t want your ass no more! Get
whatever you have over here and get the fuck out, and don’t forget to take that
li’l bad ass Devin with you.” Her pointer finger directed me to the door.

I couldn’t believe
my ears! Nawl, shawdy couldn’t have been flippin’ on me. I sat up straight.

“Baby, why you
talkin’ all crazy?” I stood and tried to pull her into my arms but she snatched
her body from me and turned away. “Oh, you don’t love me no more?” I tossed out
there.

“Don’t make me
laugh,” she fired with contempt. “I want you out!”

I grabbed her by
the collar and gritted, “Fuck you, bitch!” Then I spat dead in her face.

My li'l man had
watched it AOL unfold. I turned to him and said, “Devin, lets bounce. Tell that
hoe to suck our dicks.”

My son didn’t hesitate
to follow my instructions, “Suck me and my daddy dick!” he said and we were out
the door.

I drove around
until I could think of someone that I could leave Devin with. I took him by
Chunuchi’s sister’s house, and then I went by the liquor store and bought a
half gallon of Don Perignon. I sat in my car and got pissy drunk as I thought
about both Mo’ and Mika flippin’ on me. Damn, they were my anchors. I figured
that I would get Mika back. She was just mad, but I was worried that Mo’ was
gon’ for good.

I guessed that she
had fucked Rocco by now, but I was gon’ go reclaim what was mine even though I
didn’t want her anymore if he had ran up in her.

Bitch gapping her
legs open for the first nigga that she meets after we break up?

She was acting like
a hoe in lady’s clothing. She was 'pose to mourn over our break up for a while.
I was heated as hell. That's what led me to go over there in the middle of the
night. When I knocked on the window, she started wit’ the unnecessary bullshit.
I told her I was goin’ to the front door so she could let me in.

“Blunt, if you
don’t get away from here, I’m calling the police on your drunk ignorant ass,”
she threatened from the other side of the door.

“Fuck po-po,” I
told her as I rocked from side to side. The liquor in my system had me ready to
go ham. “Open this door, or I’m kicking it down.”

She called my
bluff, so I raised my foot and kicked the door repeatedly. After the fifth
kick, I could feel it starting to give in. “I told you I wasn’t playin’,” I
slurred as I kicked the last hinge loose.

“I thought I asked
you respectfully to stay in your lane?” A cold voice said on the back of my
neck. “You wanna make me murk you, Homie?”

 I glanced over my
shoulder and saw Rocco standing there wit’ his steel digging in my spine.

“This is your last
warning. Leave the lady alone. Next time we bump heads, we gon’ fill the church
up. Man up and let the woman go. She doesn’t want you no more, so gon’ on
home.”

“Aight, homie.
You’re right, I’ll fall back.”

I staggered to my
car and headed over to Luscious’ crib. But if Rocco thought that he wasn't
gonna have to pay for pulling out his banger on me, he seriously underestimated
the fool that I was.

Closure
Molaysia

I called Leesha as
soon as the sun came up to fill her in on the latest news.

“Mo’, what the hell
you doing calling me this early in the morning?” she groaned.

 “Girl, please.
Wake up. It’s after seven.” I redirected my attention to the morning traffic on
the interstate. “I need to tell you about some stuff that went on last night,”
I aired as I slowed down for a car hitting on brakes in front of me.

What the hell
happened? Nobody better not be fucking with you.

Leesha perked up.

“No,
it's nothing like that,” I quickly put her mind at ease. Then
I gave her the news
on what happened with Blunt and how Rocco handled him last night.

“You better keep
that looney mothafucka away from yo’ house. You gonna have to make up your mind
about what you gon’ do wit’ Blunt’s crazy ass.You need to call the police if he
shows up again.” she lectured.

“I know,” I had to
agree.

“Tell me why you
sound confused?” she asked with an edge in her tone.

I sighed and rolled
my eyes as if she could see me from the other end of the phone. “I’m done with
Blunt, but I still have love for him. Anybody who has ever been in love knows
that you can’t stop loving a person in a few days or even weeks. And I don't
want to have him locked up. I just want him to leave me alone,” I tried to
explain.

“Yes, I can
understand that. You need to stay strong and let that shit go, or you’ll always
be miserable. When the right man comes, you’ll be too involved with the wrong
one. You’ll never be happy if you let that progress blocker hang around. Just
take out some time and think about what I’m saying. You’ll be alright,” she
counseled.

My eyes watered
because she was preaching the gospel in my ear that morning. I felt that my
relationship had been over for a while, but I was afraid to let it go. I didn’t
want to go through a heartbreak because it was a painful experience, and there
was no medicine that could cure it. “You’re so right,” I agreed. I’m going to
take it one day at a time, and this too shall pass,” I commented.

 “If you keep
messing with Blunt
you
gon’ pass,” she kidded.

“That shit isn’t
funny,” I said.

“Mo’, will you
please stop trying to curse? That is so
not
you.”

“Shut the fuck up,
bitch,” I kidded, and we both cracked up.

We gossiped back
and forth a little longer and said our farewells once I made it in the school's
parking lot. I agreed with all of the advice she had given me about Blunt, but
I wanted closure. Most of all, I wanted our relationship to end peacefully.

I dialed Blunt's
number and a female answered.

May I speak to
Blunt?
     ” I asked, nevertheless.

Who’s this?” she
asked.

“T
his is Molaysia.”

 “Hmph. This is
Luscious,” she proudly announced.

“I need to speak to
Blunt.

I was succinct with her because I did
not want a confrontation.

She left me on hold
for several minutes before Blunt came on the line sounding half sleep. When he
heard my voice, he went off on Luscious.

“Answer
my phone again, and I'ma beat you like a dog,” I heard him threaten her. His
disrespect for women was out of control.

“What’s up, Mo’?”
he asked.

“We need to talk.
Can you meet me at the gym around four o’clock.” I hadn't been there in months,
but he would know which one I was referring to.

“Aight,” he agreed.

I hung up without
saying more. I would say everything that I needed to say when we met up later.

I parked my car and
headed inside the school to start my day. I was looking forward to ending
things with Blunt once and for all.

Wrong Place At The Wrong Time
Molaysia

When the clock
struck four, I was already parked outside the gym. I was on edge because on the
drive over I thought that a car was following me. I discounted my suspicions as
paranoia caused by all that was going on in my life.

Blunt pulled up and
parked beside me. He crooked a finger at me, telling me to come to his car. I
got out and marched from my car over to his vehicle. I opened the front
passenger door and slid into the seat. Blunt had his cell phone to his ear
talking over the sound of some rap music.

“Nigga, do you kno’
who the fuck you talkin’ to? I’ll murk you and yo’ whole fam,” he voiced.

Whoever he was
talking to wasn’t backing down. I could hear the man throwing threats back.
“Nigga, since you claiming to be a gorilla, come and see me, and I’m gon’ make
sure your mama pull out her black dress.”

Blunt abruptly
ended the call.

“You okay?” I
asked.

Blunt’s fire-red
eyes landed on me, and I could tell that he was furious with the person who he
was beefing with. I began to feel nervous in his company. This was not the man
that I thought I knew.

He ran a hand down
his face and sighed. “What’s good, Boo?” he asked.

I mustered up a
fake smile. “Hi.”

Blunt put the car
in gear and drove off.

“Where are we
going?” My voice trembled.

I’m just ‘bout to
bust some blocks and chop it up wit’ you.

“Oh,
okay.” I relaxed a bit, and we began to talk.

After expressing
ourselves, we both agreed that it was best that we go our separate ways.
"I'm sorry for lying to you and mistreating you. I should have just been
honest about everything," he apologized.

“It
makes me feel a little better to hear you say that,” I confessed.  “The time
isn't right, right now, but one day I hope we will be able to be friends.”

“Me
too.“ He sounded sincere.
Then, in the blink of an eye, he hit me with a question
that I wasn’t ready for. “Where that bitch nigga, Rocco, be at?”

He paused,
obviously waiting for me to answer. When I didn’t respond, he picked up where
he'd left off. “Show me where he at right
now!” His
sudden mood swings made me wonder if he were on drugs.

He pulled the car
over, grabbed a fistful of my hair, and snatched it so hard my head jerked.
“When I was twisted the other night, he upped his strap on me. I’m gon’ show
him that when I up my heater, I make it pop off.”

My head was hurting
and a sharp pain shot through my head as he held his grip tighter. “I don’t
know much about him,” I lied and used my hand to try to pry his from my hair.

“That nigga ain’t
gon’ live long after pulling his strap out on me. He should of used it when he
did that,” he raged.

“Please, take me
back to my car,” I pleaded. But Blunt wasn't listening. He was amped up.  The
way he went from zero to a hundred so fast made me afraid that he was on drugs.

“Fuck you
protecting that nigga for? He running dick up in you or something?” He let my
hair go and mushed my face with his hand.

I didn't cower like
he expected though. Instead, I went
snap
on his ass. “Fuck you. You
never told me where your skanks lived.” I rubbed the sore spot in my head while
giving him the evil eye. “When you had me, you didn’t appreciate me. So it’s
over between us, and I am not telling you a damn thing,” I snapped off.
