She startled the both of us.
Oh crap. I wondered what all she’d just seen, or heard. Spencer pushed away
from me just a little. “Sure. A Coke. Do you want one, Taylor?” he asked me.

I nodded my head. I was too
embarrassed to speak. Janel turned and went back into the house.

“Oh no.” I said to Spencer.
“How much trouble are you going to be in? I should leave. Shouldn’t I?”

“No.” he said as if I was
being silly. As if I was overreacting. Boy, if that was my dad instead of
Janel, I’d be getting whipped with a belt right now, and Spencer would be asked
to leave the house and never come back.

“No?” I asked, not believing
it.

“No.” he stated with finality
to his tone. “She’s not going to be mad. I may have to listen to another birth
control lecture tonight or tomorrow, but she won’t be mad at us.”

“Wow. I can’t believe how
different our parents are.” I said to him.

“Well, they’re not actually
my parents. That might be part of it.” he reasoned.

“But they love you just like
parents.” I said.

“They do, but they don’t put
their foot down like I see other parents doing. I have more of a say in my life
than if they were my real parents. It’s a little odd. I think it’s because
they’re not much older than me.”

“Here you go.” Janel yelled
out as she approached us. She handed the Cokes to us.

“Thanks.” I said to her. I
really hoped she wasn’t thinking I was a slut right now.

“You’re welcome.” She said to
me. “Oh, Spencer. Can you turn out the lights back here, and lock the door when
Taylor leaves? We’re going to bed.”

“Sure thing.” He said to her.

That was different. My
parents would never go to bed while there was a boy in the house. Never.

“See you next time, Taylor.”
Janel said to me as she went back in the house.

“Good night.” I said to her.
Man she was nice. I turned to smile at Spencer.

He sat his Coke on the edge, then
he took my Coke from me and sat it on the pool’s edge, too. “Now, where were
we?” he said with an evil smile as he pulled me close to him. He rubbed my ass,
then slid his hand underneath my bikini bottom and squeezed my ass again.

I figured that turnabout was
fair play, so I did the same to him. Oh man, he had a great ass. So tight, and
so muscular. “Do you know that this is the first thing I noticed about you?”

“Honestly?” he asked me.

I nodded. “I saw you from
behind the first time I spotted you. And, I had to come around and see the rest
of you. Do you remember?”

He nodded. “Were you
disappointed when you saw my face?” he asked me.

“I love your face, Spencer. I
loved it then, and I love it now.” I kissed him on cheek. The side with the
birthmark. “You should know that by now. I mean, I’m about to have sex with
you. Doesn’t that tell you something?”

He nodded. “The first time
you kissed me, you kissed me on that side.”

“I kissed you on the lips.
You were bandaged up completely.” I corrected him.

“No. You kissed me on the
cheek, in the football lineup. This cheek. I couldn’t believe you did that.”

“I remember that. I was
nervous. I just wanted to kiss you.”

“But you kissed this side.”
He said pointing to the side of his face that had the birthmark. The birthmark
wasn’t nearly as prominent as it used to be. It was more like several smaller birthmarks
now, instead of one big one.

“I didn’t care which side. I
just wanted to kiss you.” I laughed at him. “And, since we’re telling all…the
other day when I put my hand down your jeans, I didn’t do that on purpose.”

“I know that. When I sucked
in my stomach, I was giving you an out.”

“I didn’t want out, I wanted
in.” I said to him. “I’ve never been happier in my whole life.”

He kissed me again with
power. “Me neither, but I guess you found that out.” He said.

I pulled away from him some.
“I hope it doesn’t hurt too bad. And, I really hope I don’t bleed too bad.” I
told him. I was so worried about that.

He pulled me close and looked
in my eyes. “I promise to do my best not to hurt you, Taylor.”

I nodded. I knew he would.
“Where are we going to go?” I asked him.

“We could rent a hotel room
in Buckeye.” He suggested.

“Nah. I’d feel like a slut
renting a hotel room. How about out in the desert somewhere? There are a ton of
places. We could take a sleeping bag and a pillow. And a towel.” I added. So
this was it. I was in the pool talking with the guy that I loved about losing
my virginity. I felt a little sad, but mostly I felt excited. My stomach was
twisting in knots knowing that I was actually going to go through with it.

“Taylor? Why me?” Spencer
asked me. “Why not Dwayne? Or Jose? Or Jim? I hear you were pretty hung up on
Jim. Or Dale? Well, I kind of see why not Dale. He’s kind of a loser.”

I laughed at him. “Well,
Dwayne, Jim, and Dale, I would have been one more added to the list. I didn’t
want that. I knew that for sure.”

“Not Jose? He’s had…several.”
Spencer said.

“Not when we were going out.
He was a virgin then. He was trying to correct that though.”

“So, why not Jose? You would
have been the only one on the list back then.” he asked me.

“Because I didn’t love him.
And, he didn’t love me. Not enough anyway.” I tried to explain. “I asked him to
wait, and he said no.”

“So, if he would have said
that he would have waited on you, he could have had you?”

“I don’t know. I don’t think
so. I didn’t feel as strongly for him as I do for you. Not even close. I always
felt like his end goal was to get me in bed. Even our first kiss felt like
that’s all he wanted. And, he definitely wasn’t interested in me. Not like you
are anyway.  I really liked him, but I felt like the whole time I was with him,
like he just wanted a place to put his dick.”

Spencer’s eyes went wide,
shocked at my harsh words. “I’ve never heard you talk like that.”

“I’m still a little bitter
about that one.” I laughed.

“More than the other guys who
dumped you for not putting out?” he asked me.

“The other guys waited at
least a week to dump me. Jose dumped me the next morning. And had another girl
that evening. And, afterwards, several people came up to me and told me how
he’d cheated on me while we were together. No one told me while we were
together. That really pissed me off.”

“I almost told you.” He
confessed.

“You knew too?” I asked him,
smacking him on the ass. His really nice tight ass.

“I wanted to tell you, but I
didn’t even know your name then. I hated him for it back then. I couldn’t
believe he could have someone like you, and actually want someone else.”

I laughed at him. “He wanted
several others. Not just one. I think he was seeing who would say yes first.
Then when he found one, he asked me one last time. I said no, then he moved on.
The next day.”

“Taylor. Please know that
I’ll wait for you. I want to have sex, but if you’re not ready, I’ll wait.” He
said as he held my face between his hands.

“I know you will. I want to
try. You’re the only guy I’ve ever wanted to try with.”

“I can’t even tell you how
happy that makes me. Taylor, I want you forever. I want us to stay together
forever. I want to go to the same college. I want us to live near each other
while we go to college. In fact, I’d live with you if we could somehow make
that happen. Crazy. Huh?” he asked.

“No. I’ve been thinking along
those same lines. I don’t know how I’ll survive without you when I go to the
cheerleading competition for a week.”

“A whole week?” he asked,
worried. He clutched me close to him. “Oh man. When?”

“It’s in December. On the
east coast.” I told him.

“Damn.” He cursed. “A whole
week. I’m really going to be attached to you when December rolls around. We’ve
only been together for a month, and I’m already addicted to you.”

I laughed at him. “Me too.”

Spencer POV.

“Uncle Todd. Can you I borrow
your car today?” I asked my uncle at the breakfast table. “Just for an hour or
so.”

“Sure. Let me guess, you’re
going to Taylor’s?” he joked with me.

“I need to go to the store.”

He looked at me suspiciously.
“The store?” he asked.

“Oh I’m going in a bit. I can
take you.” Janel said to me.

Damn. Where did she come
from? I was hoping to talk to Todd alone for a minute. “I really need to go
alone.” I told them.

They gave each other a look.
Damn. They knew. I could tell when they knew something was up.

“More condoms?” Todd asked
with a smile.

“More?” I asked.

“Don’t tell me you’ve been
having sex without condoms.” Janel interrupted in full on lecture mode. “We’ve
preached and preached to you about that. No sex without condoms.”

“I haven’t had sex yet. We
haven’t done anything yet.” I defended myself to her quickly.

“Oh.” She said quickly. “I’m
sorry. I thought the way you two were in the pool last night, that you’d
already been having sex.”

I shook my head. This was
embarrassing. “No. Not yet.”

“I’ll take you.” Todd said.

“I really wanted to do this
alone.” I told him. Nothing would be more embarrassing than having your uncle
help you pick out condoms.

“So you know what size? What
color? What style? What flavor? What kind of padding? Vibrating or non? Ribbed
or non? What texture?”

“Holy crap.” I exclaimed. “Padding?”

“I made that one up, I think,
but the rest are legit.” Todd said.

“Tell me what to buy.” I
conceded. “And, how many?”

“I’m leaving you two to
handle this.” Janel said, then left the kitchen.

Thank God for small miracles.

“Buy medium and large, then
see which one fits better. Remember snug, but not too tight. A dozen of each. Non
ribbed, no texture, color doesn’t matter, non vibrating. Save that for later.”

“Okay.” I said to him. “I can
do this. I’d better get used to buying these. Right?”

“Until she gets on the pill.
Have you two talked about that? And, even then, you want to still use condoms
for a month or so after she starts the pill, if she decides to go on it.”

“We haven’t talked about the pill,
or anything except condoms yet. I’ll ask her after.”

“I’m proud of you, Spencer.
You’re taking your responsibility seriously. You don’t want to get her or any
other girl pregnant.”

“There’s not going to be any
other girls, Todd. Just Taylor.”

“Well, not yet.” Todd said.

“I want her forever, Todd. I
love her. So much.”
