“Not at all,” came the equally quiet response.

Forty minutes later, Askew was standing in the exact position he had been in before his surprise visitors appeared. Only this time he was more appreciative of the unease that had been driving him. It would appear it was well founded. He had no doubt at all the information he just review was genuine. Just as there was not a doubt in his mind that the men in this room were indeed aliens from another world.

Borj had quietly answered his questions about Baade. He had explained there were other species in the universe. He assured Askew they had no desire to invade their world nor did any other species. At the moment, Earth was c
onsidered
an undesirable world to visit and much too distant to make it feasible for most of the species. Borj refused to explain how the gateway worked or about the technology behind it stating it was better for the Earth if that knowledge wasn’t available at this time.

“We are much more advanced than your world in many ways,” Teriff added. “It is best if things remain as they are. We have no desire to change your world. We only look for women who are bond mates to our males.”

“You aren’t keeping them for just breeding are you,” Askew asked concerned as his eyes moved to the rounded swell on Tink.

J’kar growled in a low, menacing tone at Askew. “Do not insult my mate.”

“Down boy, I think he just wants to make sure you guys are
n’t
using us as an incubator,” Tink giggled before turning to Askew. “No, this is pure and simple love. I love the big guy and he loves me. I’m very happy.”

“All of my daughters are,” Tilly said with a smile.

Askew looked carefully at Tilly before he asked the question that had been on his mind since he first saw her. “You wouldn’t happen to know of an Angus Bell, would you?”

Tilly’s light laughter floated through
the room. “I not only know him,
I’ve been married to him for almost thirty wonderful years.”

Askew lean forward with a huge smile on his face. “I love his books! The movies are good but his books are incredible. He is not the only one who is well known. You
r
work on generators and power grids are unbelievable.”

Tilly blushed as the president complimented her. “Thank you.”

Tansy stood up suddenly. “Mr. President, about the information I gave you…” she started to say.

Askew stood up and looked intently at Tansy. “I will take care of it immediately,” he said quietly. “I would like to thank you for all that you have done for your country and for me personally. I hope that this will not be the last time I see you,” he added walking over and picking up Tansy’s delicate hand in his own.

Tansy bit her lip. “There are two Prime males here. One is trying to rescue the girl I told you about. The other… the other is missing. If you hear of anything unusual… of a strange male, can you call this number and leave a message. He is a friend and we need to find him,” Tansy explained as she handed the phone number for RITA over to the President.

“I’ll do my best to see if I hear anything and will take immediate action if I do,” Askew said taking the number and sliding it in the front pocket of his pants.

“We need to go before anyone else tries to contact you,” Mak said beginning to feel uneasy. “If you find the man called Avilov, I claim the Right of Justice against him for his crimes.”

“Right of Justice?” Askew asked, taking a step away from Mak.

“He has caused my mate great harm. It is my right to challenge him,” Mak said shortly. “You will hold him until I return.”

Askew nod his head in agreement. The last thing he wanted to do was make this huge ass alien warrior mad at him. If he wanted to claim some ‘Right of Justice’ against Avilov more power to him. He knew the Russian billionaire would be a hard case to prosecute. If the male wanted to take care of justice, Askew would not have a problem looking the other way.

A knock on the door echoed around the room. Teriff looked at Askew and nodded to him. “We must go. Go in peace, human,” Teriff said as he pressed the portal device.

Askew watched in awe as similar shimmering doorways appeared. Within moments, he stood alone once again in his office. The sound of the continued knocking finally broke through his thoughts. Calling out for whoever was at the door to enter, he watched as the two members of his security team entered looking around with a look of suspicion and wonder on their faces.

“I have a job for you two,” Askew said sternly looking at the picture on his computer. “This must be done with the upmost secrecy,” he added looking at his two most trusted men.

Epilogue

Tansy stretched out on the powder soft pink sand and sighed in content. She had no intentions of moving. Not even for her sisters. She and Mak practically lived on the small island not far from where Hannah lived. It was a ten minute flight in one of the gliders to visit. Tink was still living at the palace.
Her parents had taken over Mak’s mountain home where her dad continued to write and her mom tinkered on her inventions. Since the birth of Tink’s and Hannah’s twins, they were staying at the palace as well.

It was over six months since they had talked to the President and three weeks since they had returned to Earth to check on things. Merrick had been found since their last visit. Right now, he was trying to keep the small female he brought back with him from escaping. Tansy decided she had enough on her plate. She didn’t want to get involved. She would let them work it out. She was too busy being a beach bum, a very pregnant one at that. She glanced over at Hannah who was sitting under the shade of one of the trees. She had Tansy’s newest niece at her breast while her nephew lay cooing up at the leaves moving above him.

Tink was playing in the surf with some of the sea dragons that liked to come up close to shore. She squealed loudly as one of them squirted her with water. She came up out of the water splashing back at them as she moved up onto the warm sand to plop down next to Tansy.

She shook the water from her short curls ignoring Tansy’s startled yell. “Come on, Tansy. You should try it! It is so much fun. Just ask Hannah,” Tink said bringing up an ongoing argument.

Tansy opened her eyes and glared at Tink. “No!” She said shortly before she closed her eyes again.

“Come on! Pretty please, just once,” Tink pleaded. “Hannah and I’ll do it too so you won’t be alone, won’t we Hannah?”

Hannah moved little Ocean to her shoulder so she could burp her. “I’m game but you know Tresa is going to have her hands full if I do,” she said smiling as Ocean let out a huge belch of gas.

“Teriff can help her and you know mom and dad are here too,” Tink said excitedly. “See, even Hannah is game.”

Tansy sat up with a sigh of resignation.
So much for being on a deserted island,
she thought. It did absolutely no good if your family knew where you were and insisted on constantly visiting you. Maybe if she did this J’kar would drag Tink back to the palace.

“Okay,” Tansy said. “Are you sure they won’t mind watching two sets of twins? Tink, your two are a handful now they are crawling and getting into everything.”

“Teriff acts like he is the only one who can control them,” Tink laughed waving her hand in the air. “All he has to do is lay down on the floor and they are all over him. He loves being such a ‘grandfather’ to those two.”

“He is already threatening all the warriors he is going to be the one to kill any of them who have sons who look at his granddaughters,” Hannah said laying Ocean next to her brother, Sky.

“Okay, I give in. What do I do?” Tansy asked flipping her long braid over her shoulder.

“All you have to do is picture what you would like to do to Mak in your head,” Tink said excitedly. “I picture all the wicked things I can imagine and the next thing you know, J’kar is like panting and growling and…” her voice faded away as Tansy raised her hand to stop her.

“Tink, that is WAY more information than I need to know about what you have going on it your head much less what you are doing with J’kar,” Tansy said drily. “Are you telling me you are having…”

“Mind sex,” Hannah giggled with a blush. “It really is incredible and it does seem to have a really interesting effect on the guys.”

Tansy looked back and forth between her sisters and shook her head. This is what they have been pestering her about for the past week? They want her to have mind sex with Mak? A small smile curved her lips. It wasn’t like she could get pregnant. And, he did seem to find her more arousing since she was. Maybe it would be fun to see what would happen if she did.

“They’re in the house with the parents, right?” Tansy asked as a mischievous smile curved her lips.

“She’s in,” Tink said excitedly to Hannah.

“She’s in,” Hannah responded with a shy grin.

“She’s definitely in,” Tansy said as her eyes lit up with excitement.

Five minutes later, three men and two set of parents were hurrying out of the house. All three girls burst into laughter at the determined, strained expressions on their mate’s faces. If the bulges in the front of their pants were any indication of the success of their thoughts, it might be a long, long time before Tink and Hannah’s little ones saw their parents.

Tansy looked at the passion glazed eyes of her mate. He didn’t say a word, just bent down and scooped her up. She squealed as he folded one of his palms over her breast and tugged on the small silver hoop still attached. Her nipple responded immediately to his possessive tug.

Oh yes,
Tansy thought as Mak strode through their home, slamming the door to their bedroom behind them.
She was going to have to remember this mind sex. If she had known it would work this good, she would have done it months ago.

Mak’s soft growl flowed through her as he laid her gently down on the bed and began pulling his clothes off. Tansy stared at the man who had swept into her life laying claim to her heart, body and soul.

He was her personal Titan; destroying any who would harm her and protecting her, even from herself. He had laid claim to her, conquering her with his love and tearing down all her defenses.

Forever, je talli, forever,
Mak’s soft voice caressed her mind before she forgot everything else.

To be continued…. Cosmos’ Promise
