on coming out here we’ll get you an armchair or something. So that
you are comfortable instead of being on the hard

really isn’t bad James. I mean it. I’ve been in much worse
conditions. However, how about a pillow and blanket instead? I
think that sounds like a good idea, don’t you?”

You will have an armchair or a chair at the very least.
Stefan has one that might work,” he told her. “We’ll throw in some
pillows and grab an ottoman. Then you can be comfortable in it.
It’s fairly large and looks like it might be big enough for at
least two of us.”

Yeah? Think that I would be able to talk you boys into coming
and spending time with me in the shade? Maybe doing a little

We’ll see how it’s looking and go from there. I can’t say
until I get a good look at what Mikhail did,” there was anger in

trade is a little odd, but beneficial when in the field with

water, juice and snacks. “Let’s go upstairs and see to your wound.
Then we’ll eat and drink before you get some rest.”

You can do so much more once you are healed. Until that time
you will rest and let your body recover. You were shot, Penelope,

know the minute you feel better you’ll be up and running around

Snorting James shook his head as he hustled her upstairs and
to their room. “No one has ever died from a small amount of
celibacy, Penny. You won’t keel over either. So, focus on healing
and then you won’t need to worry about it. Because you have to
know, as soon as you’re healed, we’re going to jump your

Chapter Sixteen

Several days later...

Checking the room Dieter looked to her and lifted an eyebrow.
They were heading out to the base soon, they had a meeting and God
only knew what would come of that. With the intel they’d been
gathering on the

asked, moving closer to her. Dropping his bag on the floor he sat
next to her on the edge of the bed.

Her shoulder was mostly healed, sometimes jerky motions hurt and it
was still a bit raw but at least she had movement and was able to

asked softly. “You don’t want to go to this are you? This is
causing you trouble isn’t it?” She was worried for him truth be
told, very worried for her Dieter, and James as well. They had both

He let out a ragged breath. “No, I do not want to go to this.
But it must be done. The evidence must be given, the proof of his
treachery shown and his life as he knows it, ended for his crimes.
He has to be removed from the project, someone more trustworthy put
into his place. Someone that can hopefully figure out the damage he
has done with his under the books experiments.”

wandered through at high speed. He went right into the closet. A
moment later there was a loud bang, one that she jumped at but
Dieter didn’t even twitch over.

His fist to the wall,” Dieter explained next to her

Thank you.” Penny gave Dieter a hug and then moved away from
