KIX BROOKS
began performing at age twelve in his hometown of Shreveport, LA. He performed in clubs and other venues throughout high school and college, eventually landing in Nashville. He wrote songs for a living throughout the ’80s and in 1990 Brooks teamed up with Ronnie Dunn to form Brooks & Dunn, the highest-selling duo in the history of country music. Brooks served as President, in 2004, and Chairman, in 2005, of the Country Music Association (CMA). He is also on the boards of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau, and is the local spokesperson for Monroe Harding Children’s Home. Brooks has been married to his wife Barbara for twenty-six years and they have two children, Molly and Eric.

RONNIE DUNN,
the son of a truck-driving father and church-going mother, raced from those humble beginnings in Tulsa to a performing partnership with Kix Brooks that catapulted them into the heart and soul of country music fans everywhere. Since their initial pairing in 1990, Brooks & Dunn have been at the top of the country music singles charts numerous times with songs like “Brand New Man,” “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone,” “My Maria,” “Only In America,” and “Red Dirt Road.” They are the industry’s most award-winning duo, and continue to dominate the music industry with over thirty million records sold.

BILL FITZHUGH
is the award-winning author of eight novels, including
Pest Control, Highway 61 Resurfaced,
and
Fender Benders
which received the Lefty Award for Best Humorous Novel at the Left Coast Crime Convention. His work has been sold to major Hollywood studios, and has been published in the US, UK, Japan, and Germany. A native of Jackson, Mississippi, he currently lives in Los Angeles where he hosts a show on XM Satellite radio called
Fitzhugh’s All Hand Mixed Vinyl.
