As the plane left the city, Noel looked out the window. They only had a few hours and they would be landing. She pulled out her tablet and began to work on some files that needed to be taken care of while she was away. As they flew, Noel noticed that there was a falling star, she made a wish as it fell and lost its light. She closed her eyes as the plane descended to the landing strip. She knew that she would know Erick on site, even without seeing him for so long. She walked towards the baggage terminal and saw him before he saw her. She snuck up behind him and placed her hands over his eyes.

He turned around and looked at her. It was him who drew a deep breath as he saw how she had grown up so much from being in the city. There was a difference in her and she still looked amazing. He whistled and then grabbed her to him as his arms wrapped around her tight. They held each other for what seemed like forever. As he let her go, she smiled at him.

“Well which ones are your bags?” He finally asked.

“The red one.” She commented and grinned.

“Of course.” He shook his head and walked over to the only red bag on the belt. They walked together to his car. She watched him, he was wearing jeans that did not hide anything. He looked good even with 10 years passing. He still had his jet black hair and his body was in great shape. She could see that under his shirt as he carried her bag. Once they got to the car, he opened the door for her before putting the bag in the trunk.

“So you know,” he started, “you can stay at the house with me.”

“I don’t think that would be a good idea.” She commented as her hand reached for his to hold. “I may not want to leave.”

“Is that so bad?” He answered. They talked until they got to where they needed to be, her hotel. The desk clerk told her the pool was on the roof if she wanted to use it. It was open for 24 hours.

“Thank you.” She commented as she took her key card. Going to her room, Erick followed her. As they got in the room and sat things down, Erick looked at her.

“Why don’t we go check out the pool area?” He winked. “You did bring your suit right?”

“Of course I did.” She put her hand on her hip to make a point. “I don’t feel like swimming tonight though. We can go check it out.” She headed towards the door to go to the pool.

Once up there, they saw that the pool area was abandoned. There was soft music playing and Erick grabbed Noel by the waist and pulled her to him. “This is true.” His face was buried in her neck as he softly kissed her. “So I am thinking of moving.”

“Really.” She questioned.

“Yes, really.” He nodded and lifted himself to the side to lay beside her. “This town will never change and I need a new beginning.”

“I see.” She commented. She did not want ruin the moment. She watched the star as it fell through the sky and made another wish, holding her breath waiting to hear what she already knew.

“I thought I would move to the city if it would be okay with you.” He finally said as he nibbled on her earlobe.

“I think that would be wonderful.” She smiled. She knew that they were written in the stars long before he did and it was only going to be a matter of time before he knew.

They laid there for a few minutes until they heard voices coming up the stairs. Erick hopped up and found his jeans and got dressed so they could go to the room and Noel straightened her clothes.

“You know the dance is not until Saturday.” Erick mentioned. “We could just stay in the hotel room and order room service.”

“Sounds good to me.” She smiled as they held hands back to the room, “I would love to make up for 10 years and I am sure we can work on that in the room.” As she opened the door, Erick picked up Noel and shut the door behind them.

“I would like that too.” He kissed her as he found his way to the bed and laid her down slowly kissing her forehead and down to her lips. Noel leapt inside, ‘Dreams do come true when you wait long enough.’ She thought to herself.
