With feline suppleness, Nadine stretched, took strides to Penny’s side and wrapped the length of her hand around the nape of her neck. She smiled, her eyes almond-shaped and cat-like.
‘You are probably right, my darling brother,’ Nadine purred in a low growling voice. ‘Why would we want other pussies when we have such a pretty little one as this?’
That night, Nadine went out to the stable-lads to search for a suitable replacement for Auberon. Penny hoped she would find one.
