“E.T.A., one hour
”, said gale.

The moment of truth had finally arrived, soon they would be embarking on a mission like no other, traveling through time and space not knowing what laid in store for them, something not even Sonard could have prepare them for.

Gale began to go over the whole sequence, which she would have to explain to her crew, it involved time travel based on the theories calculated by one of their brilliant scientist, Adameus himself, who was cast out into the past by Sonard, being lost forever.

Jeramaya summoned his
colleagues to the briefing room were gale had prepared a less complicated summary on how time travel was suppose to work, achieving this through space warp itself. She had simplified the whole matter so even the simplest of minds could understand.

Gale waited until everyone had settled down, and then began her lecture based on Adameuse’s own theory
.

She started to explain, that when one travel through outer space using their warp drive, they were not only reaching their
point of destination at remarkable speeds, they are also deifying the distance between the point of origination, and their point of destination. Achieving this by bending space through their warp drive which,

  Left the unanswerable question
are you also defying time while you are entering warp speed?

“What exactly do you mean?” asked Jade.

Gale continued, “If for instance you were to travel from one point to another, and this journey would normally take you say ten light years, if you managed to travel this distance in one day, bending space as you go along. Would ten years have elapsed on your point of origination or just one day would have past, that being the time it took you to travel that distance? ”

“I would presume just one day
”, answered Jeff. “Why?” asked gale

“Why
! Because when we return, the only time that would had elapsed, would be the time we spent away from our point of origination,” replied Jeff.

“Prissily
, however, when you consider that on your return journey you’re on board computer distinguishes what angle you arrived, and also makes sure you depart at the same opposite angle. Meaning your warp drive is working in the opposite direction, bending space at the precise opposite angle from which you arrived, bringing you back to your point of origination in the same time zone, plus the days spent during your voyage,” replied gale.

Jeff and all the others sat there stunned by what gale was insinuating it took them awhile to try
to establish some kind of understanding towards the whole theory.

“Ok gale
! If what your saying is true, how do we know which way to bend space to achieve the desired results, say if I wanted to travel into the past which way or what angle would I need to achieve,” Asked Jeramaya.

“That I am afraid has yet to be determined.”

Jeramaya was somehow puzzled by all of this; he knew that during space travel there really was no way in order to distinguish if you were really upside down or not. However, gale continued to explain that since they had developed artificial gravity, if the ship was to turn in any angle, the ship’s passengers felt this. Only when artificial gravity was applied could one maintain and distinguish, as to what angle they left their point of origin, Bending space to that angle, arriving at that very same angle, and also leaving at the exact opposite angle to which they arrived in. It seemed complicated however, in simple terms if you left earth-bending space to your right, on your return journey your spacecraft would automatically bend space at the opposite direction, bringing you back to your same time zone. However, what if for some reason on your return journey, your warp drive bend space at the same angle that you arrived in, would you reach earth back into the past or the future. These is what scientist, were trying to distinguish, but failed to achieve the said results. Meaning it was now up to Jeramaya and his crew, to find this out for themselves.

Jeff had already prepared some sort of time guide, based on the earthling’s probe, which would give them an exact reading on what year they were in. gale on the other hand continued to explain her theory with Jeramaya, who later on agreed to give it a shot.

Gale produced a flight plan, which they could follow traveling at a set warp speed to a certain distance within earth’s solar system. She also calculates their speed and the time that had elapsed, when reaching their designated point she would turn their ship a full 180 deg. However, when they reached 90 deg on their turn, gale would automatically switch polarity in their warp drive, continuing to bend space at the same angle in which they had left. This meant, according to Adameuse’s theory they should arrive back in a different time zone.

Jeff had began to Tele-port the earthlings probe, back into its orbit, he hoped he could use it as some kind of counter, guide allowing them to know if time had elapsed or not.

Jeramaya concluding his final decision with gale, and agreed to do a fly run just to test this theory. He explained the procedure to his crew, who would have to keep markers as to how far they had traveled, speed, and most of all their duration at warp speed.

Gale began count down as her crew manned their post; their ship gradually gained speed until gale activated their warp drive shooting them across the solar system.

Jeramaya kept a steady eye on the time, at prissily thirty seconds gale swung their ship around; at 90 deg, she also altered the warp drive, before continuing the 180-deg turn.

Jade being the ship’s physician, expected some kind of effe
cts to follow however; there were no effects on the body at all.

The seconds passed bye when gale brought the ship to a sudden halt, the crew remained silent, Jeramaya stared over to Jeff wondering if they had succeeded or not
. Jade rose to her feet as the steel shutters opened, she could see planet earth, although it still looked very much the same as before. Jeff franticly tried to locate the earthling’s probe, to verify the date however, for some reason his communicators were not responding.

“Of cause they’re not responding!” shouted Jade, “If we went into the past, your modifications haven’t been made yet?”

Jeff scratched his head; this time thing was proving to be quite tricky, it seemed what you do in the future will not be there in the past, while on the other hand every small adjustment to the past will drastically affect the future. Which also means Jeff unknowingly had already in some small way, affected the future; the device he had assembled to the earthlings probe could one day change something in the nearby future? The whole scenario was complicated, which makes you wonder why the governing council had abolished all kinds of time travel, knowing what effects they could have on our very existence.

Gale scanned the planets orbit and located the probe; it appeared their little journey through the unknown had worked
. According to the old computer systems fix to the earthlings probe, the date showed they had traveled almost four years into the past.

Gale
, considered this, and drew up a timetable based on the speed they had traveled, the time it took them, and also the variation in earth’s time.

Jeramaya now had a complete timetable, and could calculate what year he wanted to return to, change whatever he deemed fit to change
. He now had true control of everything, he even had the power to stop Sonard’s probe from ever leaving earth however, his first objective was to track down Sonard.

“Sir shall I conduct another trail run to verify our findings?” asked gale. “That won’t be necessary gale,” said Jeramaya.

He felt they had wasted enough time already traveling through space; he now wanted to travel through time, just to see what earth really looked like before it was destroyed.

“Sir what year would like us to travel too,” asked gale. “Set a course for the year 2003, I think it’s time we paid Mr. Sonard a visit.”

              CHAPTER THIRTEEN

               Back into the past

S
ince Jeramaya had traveled back into the past Carl had not yet managed to operate the electronic spear head, that would have relayed a signal that activate Sonard’s deep space probe, sending it across the galaxies to his own planet.

Even though, this was what the spearhead was designed to do
. However, Carl would eventually activate the devise years before its time; Sonard’s race within a matter of minutes will arrive to find that planet earth is already over populated. However, what worried Sonard the most was what his superior would discover, what his plans were to try to eliminate man. Everything Sonard had done to our planet goes against their very beliefs. To destroy another species or even tamper with time or nature it-self was something Sonard’s race had learned not to do. Altering any genetic features with in a species may advance a race to become a superior intelligent being, however, in the end the consequences that came with it, always proved to be more destructive, harmful with unimaginable consequences. Sonard had given man intelligence, he had also tampered with the dominate species, when nature knew that apes were not capable of controlling their immense anger, thirst for blood. Were nature takes millions of years to perfect any type of life form to fit within an Eco system, Sonard had created man in just a fraction of that time, creating a monster that kills, destroys any thing that stands in his way. Eventually mans greed for power and dominance, will become the better of him destroying planet earth in the process.

S
onard knew his plans had failed, that is why he sought to infecting the planet, hoping to destroy the human beings that he had created. Nevertheless, Sonard’s first objective was not what excuse he could give his spurious when they arrived, however, to repair his teleportation system, so he could retrieve the spearhead before Carl had a chance to operate it. Sonard knew if it fell into the wrong hands, man could develop a weapon stronger than anyone has ever seen before. All that was needed were a few minor, alterations and the spears strong laser light could be converted into a powerful ray. Which could be used to destroy Sonard’s peoples, fleet of ships if they ever arrived, or even used in another war humans had the habit of starting, destroying earth completely, something Sonard had been trying to avoid, ever since he came to our planet.

Still, whatever Sonard may do or try to overcome this problem, he would soon discover that whatever action he decided to take, would all be in vain
. He had thought of every solution that he could, to try to succeed in obtaining a planet for his people; however, there was still one problem, which he had over look, and that was time itself.

Jeramaya and his crew had succeeded in traveling throug
h time, catching up with Sonard as they lay in space hidden by their cloaking device; they scoured the earth searching for Sonard. They knew he must have some sort of superior telecommunication of some kind, separating himself from the primitive signals that man was sending.

As they lay in the safety of their space cruiser, they indulged themselves in the receptions, programs, and a variety of information they could receive from earth’s distant outer orbit in space
. Some of the televised programs proved to be shocking, as Jeramaya witness conflict after conflict, he was also disgusted to see man doing his best to destroy one another, polluting the planet in the process. How his people could be expected to live amongst this destructive race was something yet to be seen. Jeramaya thought, maybe this is why Sonard had returned to the past hoping to try to educate man to embrace his compatriot, instead of doing his best to destroy him. “Sir I am picking up some sort of teleportation signal,” said Jeff

“Great
! Track its position and locate the main power source,” replied Jeramaya.

Finally they had managed to locate, and separate Sonard’s signal, it seemed the main power source, which was not receptacle by mans conventional methods, was coming from somewhere underground.

Jeramaya retreated to his quarters and began to change his uniform; he wore the brilliant white suit that was recognized by everyone within his society to be the highest-ranking officer within the colony. He stepped outside his quarters; quite pleased with himself he had earned his stripes even though, not the way that he had intended.

Jade nodded her head to confirm her approval, which Jeramaya had the right to wear such a uniform, since Clare had acknowledged his superiority.

Jeff also stood to attention showing his respect to his senior, However, Jeramaya wasn’t really bother what color he wore, the main reason for such a change was just to show Sonard that he had authority over him, out ranking Sonard 3 to 1.

Jeff entered the coordi
nates to Sonard’s secret bunker into their own teleportation device, as Jeramaya took his place ready to challenge Sonard, finding out the truth as to why he had ventured into the past. Most of all to inform him that his so-called probe had done nothing for his people beside destroyed the entire colony, nearly wiping his own race from the face of the universe.
