I smirk at her. I can’t believe I’m going to ask her this question, but I am. Inquiring minds want to know. “What, may I ask, is an LBF?”

She covers her mouth, feigning shock. “I can’t believe this! You’re falling way behind on acronyms. Long, Big and FFFat! Remember that!” She taps my cheeks, lovingly. “Put it in your dick rolodex lock box.” Tapping my head.

I’m about to say something, but I hear the back door open. Heavy boot thumping on the floor signals the arrival of the three amigos. I look at Roxy, and she has a devilish smile on her face. Shit, what have I gotten myself into? I must be crazy, because I’m actually considering going along with her plan.

“Hey.” I greet them without looking at Jake.

“What are you girls up to?” Cody opens the fridge and asks Roxy.

“Well, we’re going to AREA for some girl fun!” Roxy excitedly says while smacking her lips

“You girls are going to that club? Just the two of you? We are going, you hear me!” Jake is giving Roxy his if-looks-could-kill look.

“Don’t you guys have to work tonight?” Roxy pouts, trying to look annoyed.

“I run my own security company; I can take off whenever the hell I want. I’ve done security for that club, and it gets really rowdy in there. We are going, end of discussion.” Then, he walks out without another word, followed by his minions.

I’m already having second thoughts about carrying out this plan. What if he ends up meeting a girl, or worse taking her home with us? I hope Roxy knows what she’s doing, because I obviously don’t.
Ahhh, my brain needs to shut down!

Three hours later, we’re ready to party. Roxy is wearing a black mini dress with killer heels. I’m wearing skinny black jeans, black open toed heels, silver sequined tank top that’s see through in the back. I choose to put my hair in a tight pony tail and apply a smoky eye shadow with just a shimmer of lip gloss.

As soon as we get a table, Brian and Cody go to the bar to get our drinks. Jake sits next to Roxy and me while we people watch. I spot a couple of girls eyeing Jake, and it looks as if I’ll have competition tonight… the vultures have come out to play.

Jake leans and whispers in my ear, “Are you mad at me? Is this about Mindy because you can talk to me about it?”

The feel of his breath against my skin gives me goose bumps and makes me tingle all over. However, mentioning Mindy makes the tingling go away, instead I want to strangle him.

“Mad at you? You can kiss whoever you want. It’s what you do! It’s nothing new.” I’m seething in anger, and I don’t know why.
Oh you do know, you are jealous!

“I can’t believe you just said that. Why don’t you just admit it; it bothered you, instead of fucking insulting me?” His voice low brimming in anger.

I sarcastically laugh. “Yeah, whatever you say. Hey, if you feel guilty, that’s not my problem.”

Thank God the two good looking guys standing in front of our table asking Roxy if we want to dance interrupts my argument with Jake. Roxy gives me the fuck-yes-we-are-so-doing-this look, and just like that, the plan is set in motion. We’re about to stand up when Jake pulls me down.

“Where are you going? We are still talking. You’re not dancing with that guy; I am telling you, right now.” Looking at me sharply, his tone hard.

Bingo! Finally a reaction! Hold on, don’t push the crazy guy too fast he might go apeshit on us, nice and slow. Bait him….reel him in and….throw Mindy in his face! Serves him right!

“What? He’s asked me to dance, so I’m going to. You didn’t ask me if you could kiss Mindy the last time I checked.” Not making eye contact, he releases my hand.

Roxy whispers, “You better work it, girl. Remember, we need to get a reaction from him.” We knock our knuckles together.

I like to dance, so I totally forget about the plan and get lost in the music. By the end of the fourth song, Roxy and I need a drink. The two hot guys are wonderful and very respectful. No inappropriate touching happened for which I’m happy for.

Seth, the guy I danced with, asks for my number, phase one check. He gives me a quick peck on my cheek in front of Jake, phase two check, check. I look at Jake, and if looks could kill, Seth is one dead man, phase three check, check and check; mission accomplished.

“Are you testing my patience, Trish?” His voice terse and low.

“What are you talking about?”

“Do you have to let him kiss you?” His voice growing louder by the second.

I exhale heavily. “It was just a peck on the cheek! You complain about that, when you practically raped Mindy’s lips the other day!” Shit, I need to calm down. Do not engage in a shouting match, I repeat in my brain, hoping my mouth will listen.

“So, are you going to hook up with that guy, then? Take him home, to our house, and have him fuck you? I won’t put up with it, Trish…I’m telling you, right now,” He yells back.

“Geez, Jake, calm down, man!” Brian grabs Jake’s arm in an attempt to calm him down.

He shook Brian’s arm off. “Answer me, Trish!”

Double shit…Mr. Asswipe just accused me of wanting to fuck someone. Why does he have to be so rude and crude? I ignore him. This brilliant plan is turning into a cluster fuck of mega size proportions.

I pull Roxy to the dance floor, needing space from Jake. I can feel his eyes on me, but I don’t care at this point. He’s supposed to be jealous, not insanely- possessed-by-the-green-eyed-monster-you-need-to-be-in-a-strait-jacket kind of crazy. Seth appears out of nowhere behind me and wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

I close my eyes, trying to forget Jake and start moving down slowly with him, when suddenly I’m airborne. Slightly dazed, I look up to find Brian, Cody, and Roxy laughing at me. I realize Jake’s the one carrying me…of course, score one for Mr. Asswipe!

“Put me down, Jake Oliver! Right freaking now!” I scream as I hit his fine ass with my fist.

“Nope, we’re going home, sweetheart. Show is over.”

He practically throws me in the front seat, slams the door while the others scramble to get in the car.

“Asshole!! You do not have any right to do that!” I scream at him.

“Really! I’m an asshole! Wow, because I wasn’t the one grinding my ass on someone’s dick!” His eyes bulging from his face as he yells at me.

“So, who cares!!? If I want to grind my ass on someone else’s dick, I will! Have I stopped you from fucking anything that walks? You can’t tell me what to do!” I take a deep breath before spewing more angry words his way. “If I want to have sex with someone day and night, I will do it. If I want to do it with different guys each time, I can also do that. I hate you!”

“You want to be a slut... huh, Trish? Are you that desperate you want to fuck a stranger? Fuck!” He shouts with equal intensity if not more.

I’m so mad, I want to choke him to death. I don’t understand how he can say those things to me. I wasn’t grinding my ass on someone’s dick! Even if I were, who fucking cares? If he can do it, so can I. His rules be damned!

Chapter 5

Jake

“Shit, Jake! Will you listen to me! Relax.” Brian pushes me inside our living room, trying his best to keep me away from going to Trish.

I raise my hand to let him know I’m staying put. “I’m straight, B. Just give me space.”

“I get what you’re saying, but do you have to lose your shit, again? This hot and cold shit you guys are playing is frustrating the hell out of everyone.” Brian stands in front of me, engaging in a stare down.

Cody steps in between us, pushing us away from each other.

“Hey, lower your dicks. This isn’t a pissing match, alright? However, let’s go back to the hot and cold Brian was talking about. You know, the hot and cold, yes or no, in or out. Katy Perry is the shit! Who would have thought something good’s gonna come out of someone who sings in the damn jungle in front of animals?” Cody starts grinding on Brian’s leg.

“Have you grown a pussy, Cody?” Brian tries to grab his junk, but Cody’s quick to swat his hand off.

“Leave my fucking dick alone. Freakin’ freak! Portia listens to that shit, and I like it. It has a good beat to it, plus in and out reminds me of the best exercise known to man. You know, what I mean.” Cody starts thrusting his hips forward.

I crack my neck and flop myself down on the sofa, finally my nerves are calm enough to speak, “What the hell was she thinking? Grinding her ass on that stupid guy’s dick. It never fails, man. I always fucking lose my shit every time I see her with someone else, while she sits there and enjoys torturing the hell out of me.”

“You’ve gotta tell her soon. This is crazy, Jake.”

“I can’t tell her now, B. I gotta iron this one out, first. Just when I think I’m making headway, something goes wrong. I can’t just blurt it out, especially now.”

Cody comes back, tossing a can of beer my way. “I have an idea.” He pauses and looks at Brian. “Don’t knock it until you hear me out. Portia wants to throw me a birthday party tomorrow, so since Tiff’s gonna be here, use her to make Trish jealous.”

Brian scowls at Cody. “Stupid ass, are you trying to make things worse? That didn’t work with Mindy, remember?” Brian swings his gaze at me. “Don’t listen to Cody; his plan has catastrophe written all over it. My advice, talk to her tomorrow, iron this shit out, and go from there.”

Cody throws his cap at Brian. “Whatever. Anyway, Tiff might sink her claws into you, bro, even without setting her up. She still has the hots for you. I’m just saying, if the opportunity presents itself, go for it. Strike while the dick is hot.”

Why do I always find myself trying to iron shit out with Trish. My last thought before sleep claims me is, I’ll set things straight tomorrow. I’ll lay it all out there, because I’m done waiting.

***

My plan to corner Trish this morning didn’t work out since the girls were gone by the time I woke up. Cody and I are washing our cars when Roxy’s car pulls in the driveway. What perfect timing, I’m only wearing shorts so she can drool all she wants.

Cody winks at me, reading my mind. “Dude, the girls are checking us out! Jake pull your shorts lower, girls like seeing…what the hell do they call it? Roxy has a name for it.” Cody snaps his fingers. “Got it, she calls it the man-V.”

I glance their way and true enough, she’s definitely checking me out. Witnessing that gives me the push I need. As soon as I see her walk in the house, I follow right behind her. I pass by Roxy, wave at her and walk straight to Trish’s room.

“Hey, are you ok?” She turns around and her eyes fall on my bare chest before focusing on me.

“Um, yeah.” She sits on the bed while I stand right in front of her.

“Trish, we need to talk.” Wanting to start our conversation the right way, I calmly speak to her.

“Then talk,” She says with an attitude.

“Can you drop the attitude, first?”

“Fine, dropping it.”

“I’m sorry about last night. I just lost it when I saw you dancing with that asshole.”

She looks so sad, confused, and angry…just about the same feelings I have, right now. The desire to comfort her is so strong I need to keep myself in check at all times.

“You know, I don’t do one night stands, and yet it’s the very thing you accuse me of. Hearing you say those things hurt me,” She says, looking away, but I still see the tears of frustration caused by me.

“I’m sorry for everything I said. You know, I said that out of anger. Can we just forget about last night, please? I hate it when we fight. Can we just go back to how we were?”

A loud sigh escapes her lips. “I hate it when we fight too, Jake. Just control yourself next time. I know you’re being a good, over protective brother, but I don’t need protecting. Just so you know, I’ll ask you when I need it.”

Unbelievable, she thinks I’m acting like a protective brother. What the hell else is left for me to do to let her know I want her?
“You think I’m being an over protective brother? Far from it, sweetheart.” Shaking my head in frustration.

“Did I say something wrong, again?”

“Nothing. Sometimes, I don’t know what else to do for you to figure it out,” I mutter under my breath. “Anyway, we’re celebrating Cody’s birthday, so we’ll throw burgers on the grill for dinner, alright?”

“Okay.”

She stands up as I walk toward the door, but I can’t help myself, I just have to hug her. I enjoy the comfort her closeness brings to me. Since I’m throwing caution to the wind, I kiss her on the forehead, as well. I notice her inhale deeply as if she’s enjoying my scent.
Brother, yeah right. If she grabs my ass, she’s not going to hear any complaints from me.

“Are we good, Trish?”

“We’re good, Jake.”

“I miss you, Trish, so much,” I just have to tell her, the need to tell her overpowers any fear I might have.

“Okay…I’ll um, see you later…I mean for dinner.”

I smile inwardly as she stutters because that’s a dead giveaway that I’m having a huge effect on her. She can deny this all she wants, but action speaks louder than words.

Roxy drags her outside to help set up Cody’s party. I notice her standing on the side eyeing Portia’s friends. I know exactly what’s going on in her brain. She’s thinking she can’t possibly compete with them. If I have to describe Portia and Tiff in one word, I’d say fake. Trish is a true beauty with a sweet attitude to match. Her silky long brown hair, paired with her expressive dark brown eyes, and a killer figure is enough to have me in a state of attention, constantly.

I notice her talking to one of Roxy’s friends. She’s laughing and the damn guy is getting too touchy feely for my taste. I can’t help myself, I just have to go check up on her.

“Everything okay here, Trish?” I ask her, but my focus is on this idiot standing right in front of me.

She smiles sweetly at me. “Of course, have you met Mark?”

I don’t give a rat’s ass about him. I need to tell Roxy never to invite him over again. I walk away trying to act cool about it. I can feel jealousy’s sharp talons grip my emotions, making me want to go back and beat the shit out of this guy. All I see, like an endless loop in my brain, is his hand on Trish’s waist, which is mine, while she laughs sweetly next to him. His fucking hands don’t belong there.
