“That was an orgasm, wasn’t it?”

“Yeah. Something tells me we’d be really good at phone sex.”

“Or cybersex.” Tucking his dick into his briefs, he zipped up his slacks and buckled his belt. “Email will never be the same again. I might actually have to get smart phone.”

“Skype might be fun, too.”

“Skype? What’s that?”

She arched a brow. “You really are technologically challenged, aren’t you?”

He rolled his eyes. “So sue me. What is it?”

“It’s sort of an
Internet phone call with video.”

He stared at her. “Really? You mean like on
The Jetsons
?”

“The what?”

The Jetsons
. Didn’t you ever watch cartoons when you were a kid?”

“Not that one, obviously. I’m surprised you watched them yourself.”

“Yeah, well, Jane and Judy were
hot
.” He chuckled. “I started young.”

She sighed. “Why am I not surprised?”

“Just gearing up for you.” His flippant remark contained an astonishing amount of truth. All the others had simply been preludes. She was the song.

Better make that the symphony.

“I’ll have to say, this was one of my better ideas,” Emily remarked. “The ice cream numbs you enough that I might actually get to eat all of it before you explode.”

Completely naked,
Alan lay up against the headboard of her bed with his legs spread wide and his dick standing as straight and tall as the Washington Monument. Emily lounged between his legs, dropping spoonfuls of ice cream on the head of his penis, doing her best to lick it off before it melted.

I’m just saving it up for when I get you naked. Then I’m gonna jack off ’til I can’t jack off anymore.” He sucked in a breath as she licked chocolate syrup from the side of his shaft. “You’ll be so covered with cum, your own mother won’t recognize you.”

“Ha, ha. Promises, promises.” A few more statements like that, and she might forget she needed to abstain. Her panties were already soaked as it was.

There’s always my ass.

Clearing her throat, she
leaned down, studying his scrotum, trying to ignore the ache in her core. “Maybe I’ll sprinkle some syrup and nuts on your nuts, too. That might be fun.”

“This is torture. You know that, don’t you?”

With any other man, Emily would’ve considered tying his hands to the bedposts to increase the
sexual tension—which, given Alan’s history, might be an excellent exercise for developing trust.

But not tonight.

Although she would tease him mercilessly, this was not the time to deal with those fears. Tonight, she simply wanted him to be glad he’d stayed.

“You’ll get plenty of chances to shoot your wad when I’m finished eating my sundae. I can’t help it if you’ve already
wolfed yours down.”

His response to that was a low-pitched growl.

In return, she gave him an innocent smile. “I’m going to finish my ice cream at my leisure.
Then
I’ll take off my clothes and you can cover me with cum. Not before.”

“Thought you weren’t setting limits anymore.”

“This isn’t a limit. This is ramping you up to blow like a freakin’ volcano.” Sliding a hand under his balls, she held them up while she drizzled them with chocolate and pecans. “Mmm…chocolate covered nuts. Can’t beat that with a stick.”

Sucking in a testicle, she savored it with her tongue, noting how perfectly it fit in her mouth. The scent of Alan and chocolate filled her head, driving her closer to nirvana. She loved the way the skin
softened, the way he groaned as she licked him. She released him with a pop. “Man, I love sucking your balls. Wish I could suck them both at the same time.”

“Too big, huh?” Despite his grin, she could feel the tension building in his body, could hear it in his short, panting breaths.

“Yeah. Nice, big, succulent nuts. Mmm…” She went after the other one, not caring that it had no creamy chocolate coating whatsoever. It tasted good all by itself.

“Bet your pussy is really wet,” he said. “Isn’t it?”

“Mmhmm.”

“Oh, fuck, that feels good. Hum some more.”

Emily did her best. However, humming “Dixie” only made her laugh.

“Okay, bad idea,” he said. “How ’bout I roll you over and fuck your face?”

“Not yet,” she protested. “I want to make you come first.”

“Then suck me, Em. Suck my big, fucking dick and lick my
balls, and I promise I’ll spew all over you.”

Emily’s core tightened to the point of pain. “Keep talking,” she gasped.

“No problem,” he replied. “You look so good with that fucker in your mouth, Em. I can’t wait to stick it in your cunt and feel your creamy pussy from the inside. That’ll have to wait ’til tomorrow, though. Tonight, I’m gonna fuck your ass. I’m gonna jack off in your asshole and then slide in on my own cream.”

Emily was nearing the combustion point and began sucking his cock in earnest, gliding her lips up and down the shaft, licking the apex, and then going down on him again. As
his pre-cum gushed into her mouth, her body imploded, drawing her into a fetal arc, his dick still between her lips, her hand still cupping his nuts.

Helpless against the rhythmic contractions
at her core, she let out a cry around the thickness of his cockhead. Moments later, his hot cum spurted onto her tongue, filling her mouth with creamy delight.

Breathing like she’d just run a foot race, Emily rolled onto her back. None of the other men in her life would’ve gotten past the ice cream idea, let alone let her take it to completion. They were all such “vanilla sex” guys—that is, when they wanted it at all. Alan was a chocolate flavor explosion…exotic, orgasmic, and
totally addicting.

“Whoa, momma!
” she exclaimed. “That was fun.”

“You ain’t seen n
uthin’ yet,” he said. “Can I take your clothes off now?”

She waved a hand. “Whatever. Not sure I have the strength.”

“That’s okay. The rest of the evening is all on me, babe. All you have to do is lay there while I—shit,” he said as his cell phone rang—at least, she assumed it was his, seeing as how it played “Addicted to Love.”

“My, how appropriate,” she drawled.

“Yeah. Tell me about it. Travis downloaded that one for me when I got my phone.” He hesitated, then shook his head. “Nope. Better answer it. Might be my mother.”

His mother?

Obviously
, he had one, but for the life of her, Emily couldn’t imagine what sort of woman would’ve given birth to and raised a guy like Alan. If she hadn’t actually spoken to his cousin, she would’ve sworn he was an alien.

He retrieved his phone from his pants pocket and flipped it open. “Hey, Mom… Ho, ho, ho to you, too.”

At least
she
was in the Christmas spirit. Emily nearly choked when she remembered that Alan intended to take her to his family’s celebration on Christmas Eve. She would also be meeting Travis and his family on Christmas Day. The whole idea was a bit unnerving—it seemed way too soon for either of them to be meeting the other’s relatives.

With h
er own parents in Jamaica, Alan could meet Emily’s family a little at a time—starting with Janice and Ned, which might be kinda scary, considering their current state of marital discord. At least he already knew Todd.

Not that her parents would give him any trouble. Her mother was the most understanding, giving person in the world, and her father was one of the more even-tempered.
Still, she knew how it felt to be the outsider in a family gathering, and most families were best taken in small doses.

If Alan’s side of the conversation was any indication, he hadn’t told his mother about her yet.

Was that good or bad?

Then she realized
her
mother didn’t know about Alan.

That’s because she’s in Jamaica.

Janice was another story.
She’d never had a good word to say about Dane or any of her boyfriends, and though her opinions were perfectly justifiable now, at the time, Emily hadn’t agreed with them. She considered simply showing up with Alan, rather than having to listen to another rant about Ned. Having one more mouth to feed wouldn’t be a problem, and she wouldn’t have to explain Alan to Janice, at least, not until Christmas. He defied description, anyway.

“Yes, she’s very pretty,” Alan was saying. “And very nice.” He paused, rolling his eyes. “She promised she wouldn’t do that… You can see for yourself on Wednesday. I think you’ll like her.” He winked at Emily. “She’s…different… Yeah, love you too. Bye.”

Switching off his phone, he set it on the nightstand. “Mom says hello and that she’s looking forward to meeting you.”

“Same here.”
Emily chuckled. “So, I’m
different
, huh?”

“I believe that’s a given.”

“You lied to me.”

“What?”

“You said you’d never loved anyone and no one had ever loved you. Obviously that isn’t true. Your mother loves you.”

That isn’t the same kind of love.”

“I know. Just teasing.”

“Anyway, she’s fine with you coming over on Christmas Eve. My sister will be there with her family, but she’s pretty easy to get along with. I don’t think there’ll be any problems.”

Emily glanced at
Alan’s dick, which had drooped considerably during the conversation with his mother and was now regaining strength. “Think you can keep that sucker from firing off during dinner?”

He
shot her a look and drew in a breath as though about to disclaim, then seemed to think better of it. “I honestly don’t know. Like I said, you’re different.”

Alan meant that in the best possible way. No one had ever treated him with the same amount of tolerance mixed with enthusiasm and unabashed sexuality. Emily had truly enjoyed licking him into oblivion.

She was p
erfect.

I
f not perfect, the closest thing to it imaginable. His mother would like her. He was sure of that. His father would simply be happy he’d finally found someone. Not that he would make a big deal out of it. He’d seen too many failures in the past to get very excited.

A
nd Alan had come so very close to failing earlier that evening.

All I have to do is trust her.

Unfortunately, t
rust was the toughest thing for him to do with a woman. Sure, he could stand on his head with his dick in her mouth and trust her not to bite him. Trusting her not to rip out his heart and stomp on it was something else altogether.

When he’d told
Emily all the things he would do for her, trusting her wasn’t on the list. That had to change. He had to believe her and not always assume she was lying to him. Making assumptions could get him into a ton of trouble because nine times out of ten, he’d be wrong.

What was it she’d said? That she was tired of trying to convince him she wasn’t tired of him? He could see where that would get old. He had to stop saying that, had to stop assuming she was looking for an escape route.

Except that the whole trust thing was what had gotten him tied to the bed and left to his own devices.

Trust. Believe. Take a deep, fuckin’ breath

“Ready?”

He blinked. “For what?”

She rolled her eyes. “You said you were going to jack off five or six times before midnight. Remember?”

“Oh, yeah. Right.”

Nodding, she unbuttoned her blouse. “Talking to my mother kinda puts a damper on my libido too.” She glanced up at him. “You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.”

He couldn’t help laughing. “Emily,
sweetheart
, remember who you’re talking to.”

Sorry.” With a wink, she slipped off her skirt. “My mistake.”

Alan watched as she slowly removed the rest of her clothes
—her hose, her panties, her bra… His dick snapped to attention long before his brain did, his eyes drinking in the intoxicating vision that was Emily Carmichael. Her smile, her beckoning hand, every shadow, every curve conspiring to cloud his reason and his purpose, luring him ever closer.

All thoughts of his original plan dissipated, replaced by the need to hold her and kiss her until she fell asleep in his arms.
And after that, all he wanted to do was lie there and watch her while she slept.

He realized now why he’d gotten so upset when she’d said she loved him—why he’d been so afraid to admit to loving her. In doing so, he gave her a dangerous weapon.

The key to his heart.

Something clicked
inside him as jumbled pieces fell into place with startling precision.
