Pinching DC’s ass, Phoebe got his full attention. “We’re not done. Don’t stop. It’s all you.”

He was the man between her and Jude. Reed shifted under her but Phoebe didn’t move. Let Reed feel DC’s orgasm and cock through her body. Sharing her was part of the deal. DC finally took the message and thrust into her. When he backed up on Jude’s cock, she saw the pleasure etched on his face. His glasses were fogged up, but he didn’t need to see for his hips to find the rhythm they all needed.

Andy leaned down and kissed DC again. “Fuck him good. Next time it’s my turn.”

“You’ll get it later,” Jude said.

“You can have it any way you want it.” Andy knelt closer to his boyfriend and watched the action, tonguing Jude’s body randomly as he strained to match DC’s thrusts without taking over.

“So beautiful,” Phoebe whispered.

Giving her body over to DC’s pace, she relaxed. Reed held her tight. Her hips tilted, but Reed’s fingers went to work before she could even adjust. The man had skills! He rubbed her clit and tugged at her inner folds until she writhed on him.

DC’s cock filling her again and again, combined with Reed’s rapid touch, took her to the edge in seconds. He kept her there by pinching her clit and then massaging her outer lips until she lifted for more. Finally he rubbed rapidly over her clit like she did alone at night, thinking of her four men. This was a dream come true. She rocked and pressed for more as the heat of her release spread over her body, consuming her inside and out. Shrieking, she trembled in pleasure.

When she heard Reed and DC’s shouts of release, she knew this worked for them. Somehow they were meant to be one. Jude’s cursing and coming was louder. Phoebe finally opened her eyes to see her men panting with effort and glowing with power, love, and a lot of sexual gratification.

“Think it worked?” Reed asked.

“Don’t know about you, but that worked for me.” Andy hopped off the table and helped Jude down.

“I meant the spell,” Reed replied.

“It was only the first time, so don’t push it.” DC eased from Phoebe.

She sat up, sliding off Reed and stretching her body in the glorious afterglow. “DC is right. With this many people, it can take several tries to get a full impact. I’m not super witch. There was some holding back, I fear. That can weaken the spell.”

“Felt perfect here.” Jude kissed her mouth.

Phoebe took her time indulging in his kiss. Then DC’s tongue tangled with both of theirs, and she felt his gratitude and hunger. She wanted more already and knew they were playing with fire. A good fire could keep them warm and safe, but they had to tend it so it didn’t get out of control. Like most things worth the risk, it could go incredibly well or destroy everything. Her body hummed with proof that they shared love and good things could happen.

“Thanks,” DC whispered in her ear.

She nodded. “Let’s take a break and see how we feel before charging off to kill anything, okay?”

An hour later, DC sat on the couch with Phoebe and Reed. The sexual tension with Phoebe gone and his needs temporarily met, DC let the rush of power fill him. He couldn’t have everything but that was fine. Right now he’d settle for killing the demons and keeping the witch with them.

Andy and Jude stood in the living room, recreating the battle where DC got hurt.

“The attack was fast. These demons are totally different than vampires. You have to stab them until all their orange blood runs out or they keep coming,” Jude said.

“I’ve tried to determine if a certain weapon or substance will do a better job, but so far nothing.” DC hated that his research had been so fruitless, and he’d lost concentration enough to be injured.

“We’ll stab them until it’s over.” Andy shrugged. “These things have to get dead. If we scare some back to the underworld, fine, but I’d rather kill them all. Anything that hurts people dies.”

“I’m glad you don’t feel the need to kill everything that’s different. But where did the demons come from? Why are they here?” Phoebe asked.

“Who knows?” Jude asked.

“Who cares? They’re hurting people and will die!” Andy and Jude set off sparring playfully again.

“We don’t want more of them to come.” DC understood Phoebe’s concerns.

Reed shook his head. “More will always come. We think there’s an opening on the Upper Peninsula somewhere, a gate to Hell these things can come through. You can’t seal it or stop it. So we fight it.”

Her hand slid over Reed’s knee. “It’s a life’s work. But without evil, there is no good. It’s a balance. Are there a lot of these gates to Hell?”

DC nodded and kissed her temple as she leaned into him. “Plenty around the world. Some are natural, while others may have been created by dark magic or demon powers blowing a hole in the earth. They’ll take any opening. All we can do is contain our Hell gate as best we can.”

“Do you think the spell worked?” Reed asked.

“I feel stronger.” Andy spun.

DC felt a surge too. Watching the men spar, he noticed their reflexes were faster, hits even sharper than before. “It looks to me like there is noticeable improvement.”

“I thought you asked for protection, not power?” Reed stood and stretched before swinging a few punches through the air.

“It’s all connected. Your ability to protect yourself is power. You being faster or stronger is helpful. But I don’t think we’ve truly cast the magical field around you that I’d like to see. We can try again.”

Reed shook his head. “I know you liked it. We all liked it. A lot. But we need to see if it worked enough to go after the demons. There were at least nine of them left.”

“I wouldn’t go after that many demons after only one try at this. You can’t think you’re superheroes or anything. I’ll come with you.” Phoebe stood up.

“No. Our group, our rules.” Reed stood over her.

DC had to diffuse the stress. “Let’s go to the One-Eyed Dragon.”

“The vampire bar?” Reed asked.

“It’s a paranormal bar so we might find vampires or other evil beings to test ourselves on. But Phoebe is right. We don’t want to go into a direct fight in their lair when we don’t know the extent of the spell.”

“We went in with no spells before.” Jude shrugged.

“And nearly lost DC’s arm. No way. I vote bar.” Andy held up his hand.

Phoebe folded her arms in annoyance as the quad packed up.

“I’ll talk to Reed. He just can’t stand to see women get hurt. His family was messed up.” DC told Phoebe when they were alone. “I’d love to see you in action, but it’d kill me if you got hurt.”

She nodded but DC still felt her resentment at the exclusion.

Twenty minutes and a quiet car ride later, they piled out at the One-Eyed Dragon. They walked in casually, with knives and wooden stakes hidden on their persons. Often they patrolled here to find out who was new or causing trouble. Tonight DC saw what they were after the second they entered the dingy bar.

Three of the demons were there and had a young woman pinned between them as they danced. She could be a vampire, but the flush of terror on her skin made DC charge.

Andy and Jude were right with him. The duo went after the biggest demon, stabbing him with speeds DC had never seen. The other two demons bolted for the back, shoving the girl in DC’s path. Phoebe rushed up and helped the girl.

“You never did listen to anyone.” DC smiled at her.

“Come on!” Reed ran for the back alley and DC followed. The demons were tall, with an eerie blue hue and scaly skin. They could only come out at night and mix with the other paranormal evil that haunted the city, or they’d be all over the news.

Reed kicked and swung at one. DC stabbed the demon in the back and felt the rush. DC pulled his knife back, then plunged it again, and saw the demon losing power.

“Get the other one. Don’t let him get away,” Reed shouted.

DC took off running and it seemed effortless. He tackled the demon and stabbed him in the chest, but the demon held DC and rolled, pinning him. DC fought to get free, but he’d been pulling the knife out and his leverage was gone. The demon had both DC’s arms, and they were gripped in a battle of strength.

Aim for the chest
. That was all DC could think. He wanted to avoid the mouth. The demon struggled and bit DC’s arm where he’d been attacked before. The pain took over, the power gone. The demon tossed DC to the ground but DC heard footsteps retreating.

“Get him!” Reed shouted.

“We’re on it.” Jude ran by with Andy.

Then the demon was a ball of flames, screaming in agony as it turned to ash.

The men stopped and looked. Phoebe stood at the back door of the bar. “So we need a little more practice. I warned you. See you back at the house.” She turned and walked away. Andy and Jude helped DC to his feet. His wound burned like acid.

The girl the demons had targeted stuck close to Phoebe like she was a guardian angel. DC wasn’t so sure that label was wrong.

Chapter Four

Reed dropped his gear and stormed into his bedroom for a shower. He couldn’t even look at anyone right then. As far as he was concerned, it’d failed and DC was hurt again. Phoebe was fussing over him, along with the men who DC’d enjoyed screwing so much. Reed’s body throbbed with pain.

As he stepped under the hot spray, Reed tried to block out the images of DC naked, sucking cock, and getting fucked. Reed hadn’t been able to see it all but he knew what’d happened. It’d taken all his self-control not to take DC for himself, but it’d only make things worse. Those desires were dark and wrong. They had to be. It was a test.

DC was being punished for Reed’s mistakes and slipups. Some leader. He loved his men, loved Phoebe in a way he’d never cared for any woman, and he believed in the mission -- but nature or God wasn’t on his side. Being raised in both practices had left him conflicted. Should he ask forgiveness for his desires or act on them as natural?

The pagan world was easier for him to navigate: no priests condemning him, no guilt or shame, but he still felt it. Group sex. Lusting for DC. He had to be stronger. Turning off the water, he stepped out and toweled off.

He was the leader, and he couldn’t even keep Phoebe from joining them. She didn’t understand, and how could he explain? Seeing his mother hurt by his father had only fueled his need to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves. Phoebe had powers but he couldn’t protect her, in addition to the innocents, in a battle.

Throwing on fresh clothes, he ignored the growl of hunger in his stomach and the darker hunger he felt in his loins. The sex play called to him. They all wanted more. Reed had to admit watching her was as sexually fun as being inside of her. But watching the men… Temptation like that should be avoided.

When did DC go bisexual? It looked and felt natural, but Reed should be shocked.

A knock on the door tore him out of his thoughts. It was the woman of the house. Even though no one had invited her to stay, she seemed to belong here now.

“You okay?” she asked.

“Is DC?” he countered.

“He’ll be fine. We cleaned the wound and I put some special salve on it. I know you didn’t want me there.” She walked in.

“We’d have saved DC. Your job was the spell, and it needs work.” Reed tried not to look at her.

“I know. I told you that before you ran off to do battle. This sort of bonding takes time and complete honesty. No one will make you do anything you don’t want to, but you have to let us all be ourselves. I’m not going to sit on the sidelines, waiting to see what happens.”

“What about that vision thing? Can’t you watch us in battle from here?” Reed asked.

“Astral projection? Yes, I could do that, but then I couldn’t really intervene -- at least, not well. I’m still developing my powers. A stronger witch could help, but the sex part wouldn’t work. You don’t know how rare this is, how intense.” She sat confidently on his bed.

“I do. They all love you. You are in love with all of them. Sharing is weird but it works. No one would make a move on you before because we’re a team.” He didn’t want her to think they only wanted her for her magic.

She nodded. “I understand. I don’t ever want to come between you guys. Well, except when it works for us sexually. But emotionally or friendship-wise, I won’t do anything that hurts what you have. I’ve wanted to help and join you all along.”

“We can try it again at some point, but you can’t come into battle.” He stared at her.

“DC said you don’t like to see women hurt. It’s a noble and sweet attitude, but I think it’s old-fashioned. I don’t like to see
anyone
hurt. I can help, and I can protect myself. Don’t worry about me, but don’t think you’re my boss either. I didn’t agree to take orders.”

She needed to know and he sat next to her. “It was my mother. When you see it firsthand, it’s not the same as some politically correct philosophy. But when you see your father tormenting your mother… I felt helpless because I couldn’t change it. Mom said it was the devil making him do it, and she had to pray more. Then I met a real demon, and it was a whole different world.”

She took his hand. “Now you can protect people. I’m so sorry about your mother, though not all women need protecting. I’m here to help, and I want to be part of the group. However, I do hope you’re not going to add to the group of warriors because four is a perfect balance. Many more and it might lose the connection.”

“You really think it’ll work? We tried. We were all trying.” Reed got up and paced. “Maybe we’re just not strong enough to fuel your magic.”

Phoebe got up and kissed his cheek. “The passion in this house is more than enough. The love and generosity is one of the reasons I love coming here. And I like men, you four especially. The love goes both ways. Open yourself to it. Don’t discount it. Doubt is the enemy and we need to erase it. Break down the barriers, and throw yourself into the sex more. Don’t give up.”

The idea of shutting it down and never seeing DC like that again -- or never having Phoebe again -- made him sick. Reed nodded. “We’ll try. Maybe you should stay here while we’re working on it. Save the commute.”
