But then he stopped, sunk fully.

He’d dropped his head, his lips near hers. “Jesus, Zo, you’re tight.”

She could barely breathe, much less speak. But she managed to eek out, “Is that good?” She didn’t want it to be bad for him, not when it had been so good for her.

“Oh God, yes.” He pulled back to look into her eyes. “Are you okay?”

She nodded. Already she could feel her body relaxing a little. And there was this sudden urge to move. Her hips bucked up into him without her permission, aching for movement.

A growl reverberated in his chest. He pulled back and then eased into her again slowly. The pleasure of that had her clawing at his back.

“You like that?” he asked, a small amount of humor in his voice, but mostly it was husky and growling like his wolf was halfway out.

“Yes!” she ground out, bucking against him to move again.

This time, he pulled back and thrust in fast.

The pleasure of that momentarily whited out her brain.

She may have screamed.

Troy definitely moaned into her—she felt it shaking her body.

Then he did it again and again, picking up speed and thrusting harder and deeper with each stroke. Her legs were wrapped around his back—she was pretty sure that was true because her ankles kept banging against his gorgeous rear end—but everything in her body was buzzing with so much pleasure that she could barely feel anything but Troy’s cock filling her again and again. The tightness that she felt before each orgasm was building and building, harder and tighter than before, and she was sure she would die before she actually reached the climax of it.

Troy was grunting and moaning. Then he changed his angle slightly and suddenly he was going even deeper.

She cried out at the sudden reach.

“Come for me, Zoe,” he ground out, his voice tight and commanding.

The thrill of that command, the pounding that filled her, and sweet kiss he planted on her cheek while whispering need-filled curses and her name… it tipped her over the edge and right into an orgasm that wrecked her, body and soul. She bucked against him, her body unleashed from any control she might have had over it. Troy groaned even louder then stilled deep inside her. She could feel his release, pumping deep and hot into her. His body shuddered with it, intimately connected to hers, held tight together by their hot and sweet lovemaking.

Even as they started to come down, she still felt the magical sparks everywhere they touched—his whisper kisses on her face, his hand on her breast, his cock still buried deep inside her. When finally, even the slowed-down kisses faded, Troy eased out of her and slumped on the bed next to her.

“Holy shit,” he breathed.

Her body was completely buzzed with pleasure—she could barely move it—and when she did, a delicious soreness between her legs made itself known. But mostly she missed having Troy there. She rolled to her side, laying her hand on the broad muscles of his chest, which was still heaving up and down as he caught his breath.

“Was it good for you?” she asked. She prayed it was even half as good for him as it was for her.

He picked his head up to give her a look like she was bat-shit insane. Then he let it fall back down again and spoke to the ceiling. “Wow. That’s all I have to say.” But then he pulled her closer so she was leaning on his chest, and he could peer into her eyes. His hands explored her hair. “I don’t know if that sparking business is your wolf or your inner witch or just the fact that you’re so fucking hot, but it’s like making love to the sun. I’ve never felt anything like it. Please tell me we can do that again.”

She smiled. “I thought we were just having sex.”

He looked at her like she was crazy again. “I know you haven’t had sex before, but Zoe, my love, that was
not
just having sex.”

This made her glow inside.

He rolled her over so that now he was on top, his gorgeous naked body sliding against hers. “Now tell me we can do this again… or you’re going to break my heart.”

She smiled wider. There was probably some reason why she shouldn’t make love again to Troy Hartman, but for the life of her, she couldn’t think what it would be.

“Well, I did fail to specify how many times up front.”

His green eyes blazed, then he kissed her, again and again, on the cheeks and lips and even her nose. Each touch was like a little spark had passed between them. She loved every bit of it.

But when he pulled back, his face was serious again. “Do you feel it?”

“The sparks?” she asked, her smile tempering. Maybe he didn’t like it?

“Yes, the sparks.” He ran a thumb across her bottom lip, and even that had a small touch of the magic that seemed to dance along their skin whenever and wherever they touched. “Whatever you do, don’t get rid of this, Zoe. I love this about you. I want to
explore
this with you. Tell me you’ll keep this, even if only for a little while.”

She frowned, and suddenly she remembered why making love to Troy Hartman was such a bad idea—precisely because she would want to keep doing it again and again. Forever.

“Well, I don’t exactly know how to get rid of my wolf just yet.” Although she did know how to quiet the beast, banish it to the depths—she had the serum for that—but her wolf would just insist on coming back out after a while.

“Good.” Troy kissed her again. “Keep it that way. At least until I’m done making love to you. Which may take a very, very long time.” Then he nibbled his way down to her chest, and she could barely believe he was serious.

Again?
She knew male wolves had legendary sexual appetites.

Only now did she have any idea what that really meant.

The sun had long since gone down, but Troy was hard again.

His cock slipped into Zoe, taking her from behind this time, as they lay spooned on the bed. She murmured, reaching back to grab his ass and urge him on. He wasn’t entirely sure she had been awake two minutes ago, but now she had to be, with his hands busy reaching around to cup her breasts and work her sex while he plunged deep inside her.

She gasped and dug her fingers into his flesh, calling his name.
Definitely awake.
He thrust harder, picking up the pace, hardly believing they were doing this
again.
And every touch was just as deliciously hot as the first time.

They had slept the day away, dozing in between bouts of sex then waking to go at it again. She might have been a virgin when they started this morning, but she was far from that now. He was amazed she wasn’t sore, but that white wolf superhealing was rocking their sudden sex life. And their wolves were so charged up, electrified by this contact between them, that each time they awoke, it just seemed natural to touch and kiss and… one thing led to another and… Troy had lost count of how many times they’d come. She was running ahead of him in the orgasm count, for sure, but not by much.

His wolf had never been so sated in his entire life.

Her hands worked up to grasping at his arms encircled around her, holding her tight and angling her just right so he could plunge into that sweet body of hers.

“God, Troy, yes,” she panted, her hands reaching back to his shoulders. He leaned forward to kiss her, and so he could get closer to flicking her nub. He was hard as a rock, but he was shooting toward climax in this zero-to-sixty, sexy wake-up call they had going—and he needed to get her there first.

“Ahhh…” she moaned, hands flailing as she bucked back into him, meeting his thrusts, urging him deeper. Then she let loose, crying out and clenching around him, milking the climax right out of him. He groaned through his release, slamming harder until she’d made it all the way through hers. Their back and forth motion had kicked off all the sheets and comforter, and they were in danger of falling off the bed.

He pulled in her tight and rescued her from sliding off. Then he rolled her on top of him while he was still inside her. It was strangely erotic, and he was half tempted to try getting her off one more time, but dammit, they really needed to get out of bed at some point.

He was ravenous.

His belly betrayed him, growling in a very un-sexy way.

Zoe dissolved into a fit of giggles, and it shook him to his core—the sound of it satisfied something even deeper inside him, past his sex-groggy wolf, past the tenderness of the moment, down deep into a part of him that wanted to make her
happy.
Safe. Loved for always.

If only she would let him.

He eased out of her body and turned her around to face him.

“Didn’t anyone tell you?” he asked with mock severity. “You’re not supposed to laugh at a man in bed.”

She grinned even wider. “You’re not a man. You’re sex god come to visit the mortals and ravish them.”

He couldn’t help smiling at that. Then he brought her in for a kiss.
“You
are no mere mortal.” He wanted to say that her white wolf was something special—something worth keeping and cherishing—but he didn’t think he could go that far. She wasn’t ready to hear it. Instead, he let his fingers do the talking, trailing them across her cheek, down her neck, along her shoulder and her back—everywhere he touched, the buzzing spark of magic joined them together. It had only gotten more intense the closer they got, the more times they made love. And it was taking their lovemaking to the stratosphere, electrifying their most sensitive parts when they touched… which was a good part of the reason why they kept coming back for more.

He could see the shadow cross her face as she realized what he meant. That the magic made her
more.
He was more convinced than ever that she was the one for him—if only he could get her to accept this part of herself. Maybe with enough orgasms…

She dropped her gaze to his chest and spread her hands on it. “I guess we should get up.”

“No point in doing that now. It’s nearly bedtime,” he countered. With a little more sleep, he’d be up for showing her, once again, just how
magical
things could be between them. And he really needed to talk her out of this crazy idea of getting rid of her wolf. He had no idea how she planned to accomplish that, but it sounded flat dangerous to him. Not to mention that he wanted her—
all of her
—as wolf or witch or whatever combination was sparking him to life in her bed.

She scowled at him. “Your stomach is registering a complaint about missing dinner.”

He took a breath. It was true that he needed sustenance if he was going to keep up this pace. “Alright, we get up for food. Then back here for the night. But only under one condition will I take the Walk of Shame back to my room for a shower and change of clothes.”

She cocked an eyebrow at him, and it was the cutest expression with her hair all sex-mussed. “Walk of Shame?”

“I’m pretty sure the whole estate knows what we’ve been up to today.” He smirked at the red flush that brought to her face. Then he trailed his fingers along her body again. “And they’re going to wonder why we even bothered to come up for air,” he whispered softly, bringing her in for another kiss.

She planted a hand on his lips, forestalling it. “Food. I require food.”

He smiled and kissed her hand, then pulled it away so he could speak. “Promise me something first.”

She leaned down to kiss him quickly on the lips. “What do you want so badly that I haven’t already given you, Mr. Hartman?” She smirked.

“A fair point,” he conceded. Then he let his expression grow serious. “Promise me you won’t do anything rash about… about your wolf.”

She frowned and pulled away, rolling off him. “That’s not your concern.” She folded up her legs and crossed her arms around them.

He reached out to her knee to keep her from locking herself away any further. “Just promise me you won’t try to get rid of it, whatever that means, until after we’ve found the Wolf Hunter.”

She slid a look to him, interested. “Why?”

He shrugged, trying to play it cool. “We might need you.”

She frowned, then bit her lip… and finally nodded. “Alright. I won’t do anything until we’ve caught that guy. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop working on the serum.”

Serum?
Jesus Christ. He tried not to let that show on his face. “Work on whatever you like,” he said tightly, pulling back from her. “Just promise me you won’t do anything until we’re sure he’s caught for good.” He shook a finger at her as he rose from the bed. He was only buying time—he knew that—but that time would give him a chance. To romance her some more. To spend endless hours making love to her. To show her what she could have… and what she would be missing if her wolf was suddenly exorcised from her body. Or killed by some crazy serum. Man, that was so messed up it gave him chills.

“I promise.” But her expression was locking down more each second.

“I’m going to clean up,” he said, deciding it was time to get some air. And some time for both of them to think about what had happened between them. “Meet you in twenty to raid the fridge? Mama River usually stashes the leftovers there.”

She nodded, and he reluctantly left her alone in her room.

Troy took the world’s shortest walk of shame, quickly showered, and hustled to finish up before Zoe was done. He parked himself outside her door, waiting. There wasn’t much traffic in their wing of the estate. Not that he really cared if people saw him pathetically waiting outside her door. She was taking so long, though, he started to worry that he had missed her.
