Herbal Medicine
Aloe vera gelaloe vera contains numerous compounds that heal sunburned skin, including vitamin C, vitamin E, and zinc. Other compounds block inflammatory mediators, thus reducing pain and swelling. Store 100 percent aloe vera gel in the refrigerator for extra soothing, cooling relief.
Comfreyuse dried herb to make tea, or use in gel form; comfrey contains allantoin, an anti-inflammatory compound that promotes healing.

Beta-caroteneconverted in the body to vitamin A, necessary for healthy skin, promotes healing.
