F
eeling better?” London grunts as he finishes his meal.

Thankfully he had brought us some good cooked chicken from a restaurant down the road.

He had even bought enough food to share with Blue.

Of course he had gotten more than enough to feed and army but we had nearly eaten all of the food.

“Yes, no thanks to you.” I tease as I snatch a piece of chicken from London’s hand.

He gasps dramatically as I eat it quickly.

“How much more could you possible eat?” Blue snorts from his side of the table.

He had a small pile of chicken bones in front of him.

“And how the hell do you eat the bones?” He asks.

I laugh. “It’s a wolf thing. Even in our human forms we can eat pretty much anything. It also gives us a ravenous appetite.”

Blue nods and chuckles along with us as he finishes his meal.

“I brought something else.” London adds as he stands to his feet and sorts through the bags that he had brought back from his little outing.

Blue and I watch as he brings over a bag filled with bottles of alcohol.

“I got the good stuff for us and beer for the human.” He grunts as he then produces a case of beer for Blue.

“Have a few of your Hunter friends join us. Maybe we can fix a few of those misconceptions you Hunters seem to have about us.” London adds as he hands me a bottle of Jack Daniels.

It was my favorite choice of alcohol.

Since Gage had died I had drank it every time I had woken up from my tragic dreams.

Looking down at the bottle in my hand I suck back the emotions that threatened to spill out and ruin this moment of fun.

London quickly notices the change in my mood and places his hand over mine. “Are you okay, Sweetheart?”

I nod and glance at him and then back at the bottle in my hand.

“I just had a weak moment.” I whisper.

“That pain will go away soon.” London reassures.

Nodding again I place the bottle on the table and scoot back in my chair.

“Am I missing something?” Blue asks as he glances between us.

I shake my head but London answers him. “She’s mourning the loss of her mate. He died in front of her and it’s been pretty rough for her to bounce back.”

“I’m sorry for your loss.” Blue replies softly.

Feeling Gage’s loss deep I grab a bottle of vodka and rush off into the bathroom to be alone for a little while.

“Call your friends, Blue. You guys might as well have fun. She’ll come back around after she has a few drinks.” London suggests from the other side of the door.

Leaning against the door I slide down it to sit while opening the bottle in my hand.

I quickly tip it back and chug down half of its contents before stopping.

Tears fill my eyes and I reach up absently for the vial around my neck. “What am I doing, Gage?” I whimper.

“Can I really do this?” I cry and then tip back the bottle again.

The bottle empties quickly and thankfully the vodka warms my body as it takes hold and numbs my pain slightly.

It was just enough so that I could get back out and face the others.

Standing up I open the door and walk out where London was now drinking with Blue and his two friends from before, Matt and Lake.

Wordlessly London hands me a new bottle of vodka and I hand him the empty one.

“Did you seriously drink that whole thing on your own?” Matt asks with a bark of laughter.

I smile sweetly and open my new bottle before tipping it back to drain half of its contents.

“Holy…that girl can drink.” Lake hoots.

“So, are we going to play a game or what?” Matt then grunts.

“It wouldn’t be smart to play a drinking game against us.” London replies truthfully. “We can handle ten times more alcohol than you humans can.”

“Then how about a simple game of truth-or-dare, that’s a simple game that doesn’t require drinking.” Matt suggests.

Blue grunts his agreement along with Lake and then London.

They then look towards me for my response.

I raise my bottle and smile. “I’m in as long as you four don’t mind a few crazy challenges.”

London smirks and Blue tips his drink to me. “Whatever you want, wolf.”

Sitting down in my seat next to London I glance around the table. “Who wants to go first?”

Matt raises his hand. “I’ll go.”

I grin. “What will it be?”

“I’ll pick truth.” Matt replies.

Nodding I tilt my head and study Matt for a moment. “Okay, truth, when was the last time you got laid?”

His eyes go wide and Blue, London, and Lake burst into laughter.

“You better answer her honestly, man. She can smell that shit on you.” London snorts.

“Fine, I got laid about an hour ago.” Matt answers honestly.

Lake chuckles and shakes his head. “Please, tell me it wasn’t that redhead.”

Matt smacks Lake playfully before taking a long drink of his beer.

As the laughter dies down Matt glances around to each of us, it was his turn to pick someone and I knew he would pick me to get back.

His eyes land on me and I ready myself.

“Your turn, wolf, what will it be?” Matt grins menacingly.

“Dare.” I reply easily.

He grins even wider. “I dare you to hold onto this silver necklace for three minutes.”

I nod my head accepting his challenge while holding out my hand.

He takes his silver bracelet and drops it into the palm of my hand.

When nothing happens his eyes go wide. “Why aren’t you burning from it?”

“I’m an alpha. Silver doesn’t hurt us.” I answer him.

Dropping the bracelet back into Matt’s hands I take a drink and then motion towards London. “You’re next. What will it be?”

London smirks. “Dare.”

I knew he wouldn’t choose truth.

And he knew I wouldn’t either, it wasn’t in our nature to pass up a challenge.

“I dare you to a fight in human form. If I win you submit to me for a day.” I challenge him.

He nods. “And if I win?”

“Then I’m yours for a day.” I reply.

Standing to his feet London moves into the middle of the floor where there was open space for us to fight.

I stand and glance back at the three humans watching us. “Watch close, boys, you might learn a thing or two.”

They nod and I move forward to fight London.

Instead of taking a stance I walk up to him and take his face into my hands before pressing my lips to his.

His body relaxes and his hands grab at my hips.

It was the exact reaction I had wanted.

With one swift move I bring up my knee between his legs.

He gasps and falls to the floor in a heap as he cups his manhood in his hands.

Blue laughs loudly. “You’re a sneaky bitch.”

I grin triumphantly as I sit back down in my chair. “Don’t forget it.”

“I don’t know, I think a kick to the family jewels would be worth a kiss like that.” Matt chimes in seriously.

Blue and Lake shake their heads at their friend.

“Are you done being a baby, London?” I call out.

He moves to sit in his seat tenderly as he gives me his best glare. “You’re going to pay for that one, Sweetheart.”

“Bring it on.” I taunt.

He smiles and then turns his attention towards Blue. “It’s your turn, Blue, what will it be?”

Blue’s smile falls before he answers. “Dare.”

“I dare you to kiss her.” London grunts as he motions to me. “And I don’t mean a peck on her cheek I mean a full on tongue twisting kiss.”

Blue shakes his head.

“Just do it, Blue.” Matt pushes.

“Come on, Blue. Get a little.” Lake snorts.

“Are you scared?” London taunts.

“I’m not scared of either of you.” Blue grunts as he stands to his feet.

London pushes me. “Come on, Parker, you’re not afraid of him are you?”

I give him my best glare before standing to my own feet. “You suck, London.” I clip out before turning my attention towards Blue.

Moving closer to me Blue stands tall as he places his hand against my cheek.

Our eyes lock onto one another’s for a few moments before he leans in to press his lips against mine.

At first it starts out slowly but his lips become more demanding as his hands grab my hips.

He pulls me close as his tongue pushes my lips to open for him.

I get swept away in him as our tongues tangle and his hands skim the bare skin just under my shirt.

I’m left panting for my next breath as he moves away to sit back in his seat triumphantly.

I close my eyes and compose myself before moving to sit back down with the others.

“That made even me hot.” Matt jokes.

“Damn, can I get a dare like that?” Lake questions with his own laugh.

Under the table I grab onto London’s leg and dig my claws in deep. I was more than pissed off at him for that little stunt.

Glancing across the table my eyes meet Blue’s.

He was wearing a look of disgust as he takes a long drink of his beer.

“Your turn again, wolf.” Blue grunts.

“I’ll take truth this time.” I reply quietly.

Call me chicken, but I wasn’t ready for another dare.

He nods. “Okay, tell me about this mate that died in front of you. Did you get him killed?”

I look to London for help as tears rapidly fill my eyes.

“That was too far.” London grunts. “She didn’t get him killed. It was my fault that he died. She tried to save him.”

Tears fall from my eyes as I turn to look at Blue.

I wanted him to see the pain that I felt.

“You look so much like him.” I whisper out my truth. “You look so much like him and it hurts me every time I look at you.”

With that confession I stand up and run into the bathroom.

“Dude, that was too far.” Matt grunts as I slam the door.

“Yeah, man, wolf or not you made her cry.” Lake agrees.

Blue curses. “What the hell do I do now, how do I fix it?”

“Apologize first, then give her this, and then stop being such a dick to her.” London replies.

Moving around the bathroom I look for a place to hide.

I end up in the tub with the curtain hiding me as footsteps near the door.

A second later the door opens and then closes.

The footsteps move closer until they stop.

I peek out to watch as Blue sighs roughly, and then as he brushes his hand through his hair while sitting down on the toilet seat.

“I’m not good at this, wolf.” He begins.

“Her name is Parker.” London yells.

Blue chuckles softly as he shakes his head. “I swear he’s out to get me.”

I remain silent.

Suddenly his hand pushes the curtain aside as he hands over a fresh bottle of vodka.

I take it from him reluctantly as I dry the tears running down my cheeks.

“Do I really look like him?” Blue asks.

I nod. “You do.”

“Damn, that must suck.” He sighs.

“It’s not so bad.” I reply honestly.

He smiles at me sadly. “I’m sorry that I brought up that pain. I let myself get a bit carried away.” He apologizes.

“Just don’t ask me about him anymore until I’m ready to talk about him.” I reply.

Blue nods. “You won’t hear another peep out of me.”

I grin sadly and open my bottle before taking a long drink.
