“Does this mean you will come home with me then?” I scratched my beard.

She paused and then ran her fingers through her hair. “I’m not staying at your house, Justice. I’m going back to live with Damien and Sydney. That is the condition. Take it or leave it.”

Damn, I guess I wasn’t going to get my way after all. I really wanted her with me 24/7. “Would you maybe consider staying with me while I was off of work?”

“Um… Justice, you know that could be explosive. You and I don’t know if we should fuck or fight.”

This time it was my turn to raise an eyebrow. “Fuck?”

She slapped me on the chest. “You are a typical man, Mr. Blue.”

“And you are one hard ass woman, Ms. Berkhart.” She didn’t drop her fists at all during this round, she still put up a good fight against me.

The clouds cleared and the sun started beating down on me, shining right in my eyes. I had to squint to see Abbee. “So what do you say?”

“You look cute with your squinty eyes.” She chuckled.

“Abbee?”

“Yes, Justice.” She bit her lip. Damn that lip looked so damn delicious. I wanted to take my lips and devour it.

“Does that mean yes, you will come home and stay with me for ten days then?” I wanted to just shake her and tell her to spill it; she was driving me fucking crazy.

She rolled her eyes at me. She actually rolled them. I didn’t know if I should take her over my knee and spank the shit out of her or kiss her. She was so fucking cute. “Nice eye roll, slick.”

“I try,” she said a bit sarcastically.

“Next time you do it, I’m going to throw you over my knee and spank you,” I said suggestively to her.

“Is that a threat or a promise?” She brought her index finger up to her lips and paused for a moment.

“Oh, it’s a promise.” I wasn’t totally into kink but I could get a little wild. I knew the girls went fucking nuts over a good spanking.

“So what’s it going to be?” I needed to know. I wanted to get her out of Detroit and back to Vegas as soon as possible.

“Yes, I will go with you but I’m not staying at your house,” she said firmly.

“That’s a negative. You are.” She was going to stay at my house if it was the last thing I did.

“Am not.” She placed her hands on her hips.

“We’ll see,” I told her.

“Not,” she fired back.

“Definitely,” I told her and then before she could reply to me, I crashed my lips to hers. Tongue, mouth, and lips, we both fought for dominance to put two weeks of pent up passion into that one kiss.

She pulled away. We were both breathless. “I so am.” And then she rolled her eyes at me.

Chapter Twelve
Abbee

“Mom, isn’t he wonderful?” We were in the kitchen, the morning sunshine streaming through the window, warming my face. My heart had felt like it had been touched by each ray of Justice’s warmth.

Yesterday Justice had come to take me home to Vegas. I had reluctantly agreed to go with him and in the process had also signed up to stay with him at his house. I was a bit nervous. I didn’t know what was going to happen. My guess would be a lot of fighting and then plenty of wild make up sex. I had never had such an explosive relationship with another man. The chemistry we shared was so dynamic. If someone would have told me a few months ago that my life would be where it is now, I never would have expected it. I figured I would have been miserable living with Jensen. There I said it, that bastard made me miserable. I was just too blinded by wanting what Sydney had that I was settling for less. Please don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t jealous of Sydney, I just wanted that same kind of happiness that had enveloped her heart. I was obviously barking up the wrong tree. But not with Justice, he was the entire package: all hard lines, strong jaw, delicious beard, bossiness; yes, I said bossiness, and a complete sweetheart. He treated me like a princess.

“Yes, darling, I think he is great. When you introduced me to him I didn’t know what to expect, but he has certainly proven that he is crazy about you.” That put a smile on my face.

“Well, don’t let him fool you, he is a total pain in my ass. But at the end of the day there isn’t anyone I would rather spend my time with. We fight. Oh my do we ever fight, but when it is good it is so good. He just does it for me.” I started scrambling the eggs that my mom had set out for breakfast.

“Are you sure you want to be with someone that you have such differences with?” she asked me, and then started placing the bacon in the frying pan. She turned to me and gave me a pointed look. I knew she had my best interest at heart. Maybe I wasn’t explaining myself well enough.

“It’s not that. We have differences yes, we are different, it is just that he is bossy and you know me, I don’t like to be told what to do. Not one bit, not at all.” I grinned at her because I was hell on wheels as a kid and drove my parents loony.

She smacked me on the ass. “Don’t I know that, sassy pants.”

“I know I gave you hell but I turned out alright and now I finally feel like I’m making good decisions for myself. Like I told you, I knew Jensen was a mistake. Big giant mistake and the asshole certainly proved himself to be just that.” My pulse started to quicken just thinking about him. I wished that I could punch him square in the jaw and then kick him in the nuts.

“Yes, you did. I just want to make sure you are making the best decisions for yourself. I don’t want you to settle because you think being with Justice is the natural decision.” I knew she had my best interest at heart but maybe she wasn’t getting it. She said Justice was crazy about me; I was equally as crazy about him.

That fucking pissed me right the hell off. “You think I’m settling?” My ears started to get hot and I felt my face start to redden. “Seriously, Mother? Can’t you tell I’m crazy about him?” I ran my hand through my blonde locks. “Seriously?”

“Calm the hell down, Abbee. It’s written all over your face how you feel about him, I was just asking you.” I saw her lips curve up into a smile. The one she wore when she was happy about something I had done. “Now come over and give your mom a hug; let’s not get your panties in a bunch.”

“Mom, panties in a bunch?” I asked, and then I started laughing uncontrollably. She was cool as shit for a mom and she tried to be hip. I loved the hell out of her. I was going to miss her when I went back to Vegas.

“Will you stop laughing at me, giggle box?” She poked me in the side in my ticklish spot and I started laughing harder. I had just gone from extremely pissed off to having a blast with my mom. It was funny how my moods could shift the way they had. I hadn’t had a good laugh like this since the night of my threesome. Although Justice and his growling did tickle me. He was such a hoot. I liked to piss him off just so I can hear it. It is rather endearing.

“Sorry, Mom.” I wiped a tear that had fallen out of my eye and down my cheek. It was good to have happy tears instead of sad tears. Things felt really good at the moment. I was sure my happy pills were also contributing to my good mood. But most of all, it was Justice being here.

Last night after we got him in the house and settled we stayed in, had a few cocktails, dinner with my family, and went to bed early. We had to be up early this morning so that we could catch our flight. I looked at the clock and noticed we had a couple of hours before we had to leave. I still needed to throw a few things in my suitcase, but I was mostly packed. Justice just had an overnight bag and was set.

“Hey, ladies, do you need some help in here?” Justice joined us in the kitchen, freshly showered and smelling quite yummy. He walked up to me and kissed me on the cheek. “Good morning, beautiful.”

I beamed up at him. “Good morning, Justice.”

“Bianca, can I help you with the cooking?” She had insisted that Justice call her by her name. When he got here he kept calling my parents Mr. and Mrs. Burkhart but it didn’t last long. If that was one thing Justice was he was very respectful and also helpful. Last night he and my dad grilled up some steaks while I tried to help my mother make the sides to go with it. He and my father hit it off immediately. Their distaste for Jensen was a key bonding factor. Both of them wanted to beat the shit out of him. There was a long line of people that wanted just that same thing. Thank goodness Reeve had been there and had done just that.

Reeve really was a good guy. I didn’t know what he expected from me after the threesome, but things had been fine for us. We got along great still and there was no awkwardness. I may have had the tiniest feelings for him that night but it was all Justice for me. It was a good time for all and he didn’t seem to mind. I hoped like hell that he would find the girl of his dreams. He had a lot to offer a woman. He was a successful doctor and gorgeous. All of the Blue siblings were. Which reminded me, I couldn’t wait to see Justice’s baby sister, Destiny, when I got back home. We would have to plan some time to get together and hang out. Justice was really close to her and very protective. He took being protective to the extreme. I was shocked the poor girl had even had a boyfriend.

“That is sweet, Justice, but I’ve got it. You might want to keep an eye on Abbee though because she is a nightmare in the kitchen.” She was right, I was a nightmare in the kitchen, but she didn’t need to tell Justice that. I didn’t want him to think I wasn’t the complete package. What if he wanted me to cook for him? I could barely scramble these eggs or boil water.

Justice looked at me and grinned and I went from happy to pissed off again. “Mother!”

“Sorry, sweetheart.” She chuckled to herself.

“Abbee, I didn’t know you couldn’t cook. Maybe while you are staying with me I can teach you a few simple meals to make. I love to cook. My mom taught me well.”

I huffed out a breath. “Yes, I can’t cook.”

“That’s alright, baby, I’ll cook for both of us.” He settled himself behind me and wrapped his arms possessively around my waist. He began nibbling on my ear. I softly sighed so my mom wouldn’t hear me. I didn’t want her to think we were going to drop down on the kitchen floor and have sex. But it felt so good, deliciously good. I had missed his touch so very much.

It was so nice and freeing to just be able to let go. I didn’t know if we were a couple or not. I was sure Justice would say that we were but it felt good to just be able to enjoy his company and do things couples would do to one another. I flipped around and gave him a tight hug.

“Damn, baby, you are making my cock hard,” he whispered in my ear.

“Hey, you two, I’m right here. The kitchen isn’t a bedroom,” my mother chimed in. Shit, I had almost forgotten my momwas here and was getting carried away in all that was Justice. My panties were even a little wet.

I broke away from Justice and went over to my mom’s side. “Sorry, Mom.” I gave her a sheepish smile.

“Sorry, ma’am, I meant no disrespect.” Justice told her. He was so damn sweet.

The timer went off. ”Honey, will you check on the cinnamon rolls please?”

I walked over to the oven, got the hot pad and checked on them. My mom had made her homemade cinnamon rolls which were my favorite. I was going to miss her cooking. But I was really excited to taste some of Justice’s food as well. The more I thought about it the more I was looking forward to staying with him. I was concerned after ten days together he wouldn’t let me leave and I was concerned because I didn’t know if I would want to go. I guess we would have to see how many spats we would get into.

I silently chuckled to myself.

“What’s so funny, baby?” Justice asked me.

“Just thinking about all the arguing we’re going to do,” I told him.

“You know we don’t have to fight if you would just agree with me about everything.” He raised an eyebrow and gave me a pleading smile.

“Dream on. You know that is never going to happen so don’t even go there.” He was insane if he thought I was going to agree with him about everything.

“Bianca, you know you have raised one hell of a firecracker?” Justice said to my mom.

“Oh yes. I know she is quite feisty.”

“You guys, I’m standing right here.” I pulled the cinnamon rolls out of the oven and when I did I accidently touched my hand to the pan without the hot pad. “Shit!”

Justice was by my side in a moment. I pulled my hand to my chest and then ran to the sink and ran it under water. “Let me see, sweetheart,” Justice ordered.

“Justice, just give me a damn minute, this hurts like a bitch.” I continued to run my hand under the water. I felt bad that I had such a trashy mouth today but my mom never minded. Both my parents let me cuss and really be my own person, which was refreshing.

“What the hell is going on in here?” My dad entered the room.

“I burnt my hand getting the cinnamon rolls out of the oven, Dad.” Damn it, that shit hurt.

“Abbee, will you just let me see your hand, please?” Justice was growing impatient with me.

“Justice, just give me a minute.” My dad approached us. And grabbed my hand from under the sink. He was also a doctor which is where I found my love for the medical profession.

“Doesn’t look too bad, let’s put some aloe on it. I’ll be right back.” He walked out of the room and Justice grabbed my hand. He brought it to his lips and kissed it tenderly. I wish I could say that he had kissed it all better, but it stung.

“You’re going to be alright, sweetheart.” He kissed my hand again. I looked up at him through my lashes and saw his face marred with concern for me. It was actually a beautiful sight, one that I wanted to wrap up in a tight little package and take with me everywhere I went.

“Thank you.” I got up on my tip toes and gave him a kiss on the lips. His beard tickled my face a little and it felt so damn delicious. I was actually looking forward to our make-up sex. In a big way.

My dad walked back into the room and I broke apart from Justice. He got out the aloe and spread it on my hand it instantly started to feel better, taking away the sting.

“Now that that crisis is over, are you all ready to eat some breakfast?” My dad walked over to my mom and wrapped an arm around her middle and gave her a searing kiss. They were affectionate like that. Very affectionate. At first it grossed me out, especially when I was younger, but now I was used to it.

“I’m starved, honey. Everything smells delicious. I’ll get the mimosas.” I was dying for a mimosa. They were one of my favorites to have with breakfast.

My mother and I plated up everyone’s meal and then the four of us gathered around the table. Justice dug right into his food. I would say he was a growing boy but he had stopped growing a long time ago.

“Bianca, these cinnamon rolls are delicious,” Justice said.

“She really is a fine cook, Justice. Wait until you try her eggs strada. It is to die for. One of my favorites,” my father told him and then reached over and took my mother’s hand and squeezed it.

“Thank you, Jerry, you are such a wonderful husband.” My mother batted her eyelashes at him.

“Not as wonderful as my beautiful wife,” he replied to her.

I so wanted what they had. They were an amazing couple. Sure they had their moments when they would fight, all couples did, but they got along so well. They were an excellent example of what a happily married couple could be. I hoped that someday I would be able to share that with someone. The funny thing is that when I had those thoughts they turned to Justice. Deep in my bones to the depths of my soul, I just knew he was the one for me. There wasn’t an exact moment I could place or something specific that he did, it was just a feeling when we were around one another and when we were apart. Your heart just knows and mine definitely knew.

“So, Justice, are you going to take good care of our daughter when you are back in Vegas?” My dad set his fork on his plate and looked to Justice for his answer.

Justice wiped his mouth with his napkin, took a sip of his mimosa and cleared his throat. “By all means. You don’t have to worry about anything happening to her while she is with me. I plan to take excellent care of her.”

“You guys, I’m right here and I can take care of myself. Thank you very much.” They were talking about me like I wasn’t even in the room. I may be a woman but I could take care of myself. Although it was nice of Justice to reassure my father I had it under control.

“Abbee, I’m taking care of you. There will be no arguing with me.” Justice turned and looked at me.

“Is that so, Mr. Bossy? I’ve been doing just fine.” Well, I actually hadn’t if you counted what happened with Jensen, but otherwise I had done just fine all of these years.

Justice turned to my father. “Sir?” Then he looked at my mom. “Ma’am?”

“Abbee, you need someone to look after you in the event Jensen comes back into the picture. This is for your own good,” my father said in “a don’t’ mess with me” tone. I guess he was right but still, it just gave Justice more control over me and I didn’t know if I wanted to give it up to him just yet.
