"Yes it is." He leaned in and kissed me full on the lips.

I closed my eyes and leaned into him, eagerly starting to deepen the kiss before pulling back.

He stared at me questioningly.

"Your sister!" I said.

Camdon rolled his eyes, "Look at her," we did, she was across the room, digging through a chest of toys, "She's pretty oblivious to the world around her, and she doesn't talk."

"Why is that?" I asked curiously.

He shrugged. "I don't know, I guess she'll talk when she's ready. She's a little different."

I heard the car pull in and I slid off of his lap, just in time for his mom and stepdad to walk through the door.

"Oh good! I see you guys patched things up." Jill said in her blatant careless manner.

Camdon turned and looked at me grinning, "You and my mom had a nice talk?" He said quietly.

I rolled me eyes, and lightly smacked his arm.

"Oh that hurt." He smirked.

The man who came in had brownish blonde hair and red merry cheeks. He was dressed in a maintenance uniform, and as I looked out the window I saw the words Air Conditioning Service, on the side of a large van.

He was bald, medium height and slightly robust. Jill was beautiful, from her hair to figure, and standing next to him, she became more beautiful, not because of his average looks but because of the obvious affection they had for each other seemed to make her shine.

It was sweet actually, this brilliant, young woman, rapidly talking to her husband, who just looked at her and nodded, listening intensely to everything she had to say. He introduced himself as Joe, which fit perfectly in my mind, already dubbing him Average Joe, because he seemed like a really good, down to earth, normal guy.

Ella was also a daddy's girl, I discovered, as soon as she saw him she ran and jumped into his arms and he swung her around effortlessly. She tugged on his arm to show him the drawings she did, and he acted excitedly for each one.

"I'm going to walk her home, mom." He called.

"Okay!" She called sweetly from the living room, pulling out one of her books.

He led me out the front door, and the walk to my house was filled with unspoken tension. Holding his hand and walking so close to him in the cold, and the way he stroked my face with his thumb made my heart pound.

He was still dressed in his running clothes, and when we came into my house, I stepped inside and dragged him with me. He didn't say anything, just stood in front of me looking at my lips with a small smile on his face.

"Anna's not home." I said breathlessly, as his hands started to roam my body, from my face to my shoulders, and down to my stomach, his fingers moved lightly, sending tingles all over.

I inhaled sharply when he pressed his body into mine, and lightly grazed my fingers across his chest. His breath caught for a moment, before he started sliding up my shirt. I began kissing and lightly nibbling at his ear, the sensation giving him goosebumps on his arm, and then moved down to his neck. My hands roamed down his shirt and tugged at the bottom, and pulled it over his head.

My fingers traced down his chest to his ab muscles, I traced swirls with my fingers, and moved farther down his stomach before his hand caught mine. I looked up at him, wondering if he wanted me to stop.

His eyes were hazey and he placed my hand around his neck and pressed his lips to mine. I didn't even try to stop the moan that escaped my lips and it only seemed to drive him even more crazy. He hungrily attached my lips sucking, biting, pulling, and moved down my neck. I arched into him a little bit and he groaned, steadying his breath.

"Camdon." I breathed, not wanting him to stop.

I began kissing him again, much more slowly this time, and pulled him up the stairs and towards my room. I laid on my bed and he eagerly climbed on top of me, taking off my shirt and kissing my neck to my collar bone to my stomach. I was breathing heavily, my hands in his hair, when we heard the front door open.

Camdon sighed disappointedly, but didn't move. He laid his head on my stomach, and I continued to play with his hair.

"That feels good." He said, while tracing circles on my bare stomach with his fingers.

"So does that." I laughed.

He kissed my stomach once before handing me my shirt, and I quickly put it on,
as
I heard Anna roaming around downstairs.

I straightened up and leaned against the headboard of my bed, and Camdon put his head in my lap.

I ran my hands through his chestnut brown hair, noticing the different shades and highlights it had against the light. Camdon's eyes stared up at me, and he had a smile on his face. I stared down at him, unsure of what was actually going on between us, but not really caring, I liked it anyways.

"I think my mom likes you," He said offhand.

I smiled, and said confidently, "Of course she does. Why wouldn't she?"

"She doesn't always like my friends. Especially girls."

I raised my eyebrows, "Oh?"

"It's just her." He explained, as if there was nothing else that could really be said.

"I like Joe. He seems like a really good guy." I genuinely thought he was good with Ella.

"Yeah he's great for my mom. He treats Ella like a princess. I like him." He shifted a little uncomfortably, ready to change the subject. "Don't you think we should go see what Anna is up to?"

I shrugged. "I don't know what is going on with her lately. But sure."

We walked down stairs together and I approached her in her usual sexy business attire, with a brief case thrown on the kitchen counter, and with a frustrated expression on her face.

She looked up and sent a nod of acknowledgement towards Camdon and me and then continued to flitter through stacks of papers.

"What are you looking for?" I asked curiously.

She glared at me, knowing that I was just hunting for information, and swiped a piece of paper quickly out of my eyesight.

"Some very important business information." She stressed the very.

"Do you want me too look for it? What is it? Me and Camdon can keep an eye out for it." I asked sweetly.

"No. I'll find it." Anna's eyes narrowed and walked crisply away.

"What's wrong with her?" Camdon asked.

"I honestly have no idea." I stared off to the side, my mind beginning to wander, when Camdon pulled me close.

"Hey." He tilted my chin to look up at him. "Don't worry too much about it."

I gave him a weak smile, when Anna came thundering back into the room, "Shouldn't you be going home soon?" She asked sternly.

Camdon and I broke apart, I gave him an apologetic look as he warily left my side and went out the front door.

"Did you have to do that?" I asked her in despair. "I really like that kid."

"Yes." She answered curtly.

"Whoa, Anna, what's wrong?" I frowned. "You're really starting to freak me out."

She stopped walking and let out a deep breath. "The drawer…" She muttered, and spun around and took the stairs by twos to look for whatever she was missing. Moments later, I heard a cry of relief.

"FINALLY! I have been looking EVERYWHERE." Anna's voice exclaimed from upstairs.

I raised my eyebrows even though she couldn't see me, and smiled to myself. Finally is right, maybe both of us could be happy now.

Chapter 10

Camdon and I were becoming increasingly close; I could feel it. He would wait by our lockers to talk to me at the beginning of every day, even if we had just seen each other earlier that morning on our frequent runs. He always came and visited me during lunch, would sneak out of his sixth period class to walk by mine and frantically wave making my whole class laugh while making me blush, then meeting up later to take me home. We were almost inseparable. I often found myself sneaking away from Anna and her late night working disasters to be with him. He would sneak in through the side window so much that Anna eventually got a lock for it, and we even went so far as to find a small ladder that belonged to Camdon's stepdad, Joe, and hide it in the bushes so he could take it out to come and see me whenever he wanted.

It was Thursday night, and I could barely concentrate on homework, only thinking of the weekend and Clarissa's party Saturday night. I had promised Dylan and Marcus I would hang out with them Friday but I was becoming a little agitated at Clarissa's get together. Only because I didn't know what it meant. What exactly had Camdon and I been doing lately? Were we dating? Did I even want to date?

No. I definitely wanted Camdon.

As if he knew my thoughts, a heard a quiet tap on my bedroom window. I quickly got up and shut my bedroom door, and went and let Camdon in.

He stood up with a big grin on his face. "Hey there gorgeous."

I gave him a small smile, "Why are you so happy?"

He sat down on my bed and pulled me on top of him. "What? I can't be happy about seeing you?"

I giggled. "You just saw me a couple hours ago."

"Mmm. That's too long." His hands gripped my thighs firmly, so I was straddling him, and gave me a long kiss.

I leaned into him and felt my heart grow warm as he broke our tender kiss. I couldn't help the grin that escaped from my lips. He smirked, and his deep blue eyes had a twinkle to them.

I narrowed my eyes. "What…"

He began tickling my sides as I let out a burst of laughter and squirmed, desperately trying to get away from his grasp.

"Camdon!" I yelled at him, pushing against his strong shoulders. I hit his arm when he put
a
finger to my lips.

"Shhhh." He said quietly. We were extremely still for several tense seconds, as we heard footsteps coming from out side my door. We instantly sprang apart, and Camdon jumped up from the bed and sprinted towards my door and skidded to a stop in front of it.

"Wait!" He whispered and ran back to me sitting at my bed and gave me quick kiss. "I'll call you when I get home."

"Okay. Hurry up!" I shoved him lightly.

"I'm hurrying!" He laughed and quickly climbed out the window, and I heard a soft thud as he landed on the ground.

Camdon left just in time, as Anna opened the door slightly and poked her head in.

"Hey, Heidi." She smiled.

I tried to control the goofy grin that happened every time I thought of Camdon, as I flipped through a math book. "Hey Anna. How was work?"

She slid into the room and walked over to the window and closed it. "Aren't you cold? It's freezing outside. It's almost November." I avoided her eyes and shrugged.

She sighed. "How about a girls night tonight? I'll go rent a movie and do your hair. Could you paint my nails? They are really chipped and I'm
horrible
at doing my own."
