“You are so beautiful,” he said, “an absolute goddess on earth.” His hands stroked her silky, tanned flesh.

“Thank you,” she said, panting, her legs still quivering from so many orgasms. She reached down to feel between her legs. She was dripping wet, slick from her own juices.

Harrison leaned up on one elbow and squeezed her very firm, full breasts in his hand. “Damn, you have big tits. How come such a small woman like you has such full breasts? You don't feel like you have implants. What size are you?”

Reese smiled up at him. “No, they are real. I don't know why they are so big. I mean, I'm not huge or anything. They just look big on my petite body. Lucky, I guess,” she said as she laughed.

Harrison didn't laugh. “No, seriously, I want to know your bra size.”

“32DDD, sometimes a 34DD. Why is that important?”

“I just wanted to know.” Harrison kept his hands on her breasts.

“Are breasts your thing? Ass? Legs?” She leaned up on her elbows.

“With tits like yours, they are definitely my thing. But I like it all.”

As Reese recalled their recent lovemaking, she looked around the beautiful hotel suite. “I can't believe we did this, Harrison.” He sat completely up on the bed. “Why?”

“Because you are married. This will never work out.”

Harrison frowned. “Look Reese, I told you before I like you. You are sexy as hell, beautiful and smart. I want to have fun with you, but that's it.”

Reese was saddened. “I know. And I know you won't leave her.”

“That's right. Now please, when we spend time together, let's have fun. Nothing serious.” Harrison began pulling his shirt on.

What harm could a little fling do?
Reese thought. She knew the score.

“So you want this to be an ongoing thing then?” she asked.

Harrison met her eyes. He appeared incredulous. “Well, of course, that was the idea, baby.”

Harrison continued to button his shirt. It was an elegant, white, designer dress shirt. Reese bent over to retrieve her red lacy panties from the floor. She slipped them on, and as she did, he caught hold of her waist and slipped one hand into them.

“Still wet, I see,” he said, slipping his long fingers up inside her and rubbing her G-spot.

Reese felt her knees shake as he fingered her to another orgasm. Then, pulling his hands away, he continued to dress.

She simply stood there, hot and dripping, as the air was thick with the musky scent of their frenzied lovemaking.

“Harrison,” she began. Fully dressed, he strode over to her.

“Baby, there are rules. Rules for the game we are about to play. Can you do as I ask?”

Before she could speak, he grabbed her by her shoulders and pushed her to the wall. Arms pinned above her head, she stood in shock.

“Depends,” she said.

“Reese, look, what I want is a friend. A playmate. That's what you are. No more, no less. Now, before you get up on some high horse of bullshit, feminist crap, let me tell you how it is. I'm not getting divorced. Don't ask. I can't see or talk to you on weekends. Not that I don't want to, I can't. That's it. Also, we meet when I have time. I'm a very rich man, Reese, and I can take you places and buy you things. We can have fun together. I like you very much, but don't waste your time trying to get me to 'love' you. It won't happen. You might come to mean a lot to me, but we aren't riding off into the sunset. I'm sorry. I can provide you with an apartment if you like, and I have no problem giving you things. Don't be offended because I am not trying to offend you. You are very beautiful and deserve a wealthy man like myself taking care of you.”

Shocked, Reese simply stared at him. Was he serious? Admittedly, she wanted him. She was extremely attracted to him, and some of what he said appealed to her, but this was too much to ask of any woman.

“What the hell do you think I am? A fucking whore? A paid mistress? Do you think I will sleep with you for your money? I don’t need you or your damn money. I have a good job, a great place to live. I don’t need you to ‘take care of me’. This isn’t 1950. I have degrees, I am educated and not your fucking Barbie doll!” Suddenly, Reese felt an indignant fury rise up inside her.

Harrison relaxed his hold on her arms. “Look, take it or leave it. It is what it is. I can’t change my life. I am a family man. That’s what my family expects. I like you very much and want to be with you, but that’s it. You play my way, or you don’t.” Harrison picked up his wallet, keys, and his phone.

“Give it some time. Get back to me when you are ready.” Harrison bent to give her a quick kiss on the cheek. “It was fun, baby.”

Fuming, Reese threw her shoe across the room. Fuck him! She was no one’s mistress! She didn’t need him. She pulled her clothes on and left the hotel.

Chapter 4

Autumn’s arrival had been accompanied by changing leaves and cool winds. Reese had thought of Harrison more times than she could count. When she had laid in bed at night, she had felt his heated breath on her neck, his warm strong hands on her flesh, his fingers slipping into her panties. Then she had grabbed her phone and had thought of reaching out to him. What harm would this affair do? It didn’t have to be forever. Just for fun. Maybe she could travel to places she’d always wanted to go like Tahiti or Paris. Reese had looked him up online and had done a bit of research on him. She had discovered he had no Facebook or Twitter accounts. Through a Google search, she had uncovered his wife’s name, Lisa. She had a Facebook profile that showed pictures of Harrison with his her and their children. They had two beautiful daughters, who were school-aged and looked just like him. Lisa, while not unattractive, was plain and ordinary. She had lank dark-brown shoulder-length hair, dull brown eyes and was very tall and slim. Most of all, Reese had noticed Lisa was completely flat chested. An odd choice for Harrison, Reese had thought, since he seemed to prefer busty, petite women. Reese had hated looking him up online. It had made her feel like a stalker, but she had needed to know more about who he was and who his wife was. Reese had also found a photo of their home. Harrison hadn’t been lying about his money; that was for sure. He lived on Astor Street on the Gold Coast, and drove an Aston Martin One-77.

Reese had thought of her family and what they would think if they knew she had been thinking about becoming this guy’s mistress. Reese had grown up more middle class with conservative, religious values. Her mother had been a nurse and her father had worked for a defense contractor. She had enjoyed comfortable but more modest homes in her childhood than Harrison. She and her siblings had attended private, religious schools until they had reached high school and her family had moved to Laguna Beach.

She had been brought up in a Protestant church, and her grandfather had been a Baptist minister. Unlike Harrison, she had been raised to believe in marrying for love. In her family, marriage was about being with someone you loved and adored, not someone who fit a specific ‘profile’. Although they were now separated, Reese’s parents had been deeply in love at one time. Growing up, Reese’s family had been very close knit; they had enjoyed getting together with aunts, uncles, cousins, and her grandparents regularly. Even today, Reese still maintained close contact with her siblings and her mother. However, since her father had left her mother, Reese had had no contact with him, nor did she wish to.

When Reese had been younger, she had been a dancer and a cheerleader. In high school, she had been quite popular, the quintessential blonde cheerleader and Homecoming queen. Despite her image as a popular cheerleader, Reese had done remarkably well academically. She had always been as smart as she was beautiful. After high school, she had participated in many beauty pageants and had won several coveted titles, including Miss California Sun. She’d had a modeling contract, and she had begun to achieve a small amount of fame for her bikini and lingerie work. Being only five-foot-four-inches tall, Reese had been too petite for high-end modeling, but she had loved being a bikini model. Realizing that her beauty wouldn’t last forever, Reese had decided to attend Northwestern at age twenty.

In college, Reese had immediately been drawn to Greek life. She had pledged several sororities and had chosen to join Delta Delta Delta where she had met her best friend, Ashley. During her time at Northwestern, she had also met her first husband. Despite all her partying at school, Reese had always been looking for her ‘true love’, an ideal she had held onto since she had been a little girl. When she had met James, he had appeared to be her Prince Charming. But, after they had married, Reese had quickly discovered his dark side. Despite their religious convictions, her family had supported her choice to divorce due to James’ perversions; the depth of which she still had not disclosed to them.

As Reese had given more consideration to becoming Harrison’s mistress, she had known her family would be quite appalled if they ever found out. It was definitely not something she had ever dreamed of being, but she had continued to feel herself being drawn more and more to Harrison. She was the moth, and he was the flame drawing her ever closer as she felt her inhibitions fading away quickly.

Decisions. Decisions. What to do? Reese found herself in this familiar quandary one Wednesday while at work when a package arrived for her.

“Ms. Vogel? You have a delivery.” The round-faced, short secretary walked over to her cubicle carrying a long white box with a huge red ribbon around it.

“What is this?” Reese wondered, reaching out to take the huge box.

The secretary shyly smiled. “Here is the card.”

Reese tore open the tiny card.

“See what I can do? Call me. Harrison.”
She undid the ribbon and opened the box. Inside were a dozen long-stemmed perfect red roses. They were absolutely beautiful. She inhaled their scent and then saw another small narrow velvet box at the bottom. Reese slowly opened the box, which contained a two-inch-wide diamond bracelet. Another card fluttered out onto the desk.
“Hi beautiful, don’t forget me.”

The secretary let out a low whistle. “Damn girl, either you were really good, or you were really bad.” She laughed.

Reese blushed and put the bracelet on.
My God, it’s beautiful
, she thought.

Re: Gift

Perfect, I will be there.

Harrison

Now she had done it. She was going to play mistress to a married guy.
God, forgive me
, she thought.

Later that night at home, Reese planned her outfit very carefully. She wanted to look as sexy as possible for Harrison. She knew it was wrong, but she just didn’t care anymore. After all, she wasn’t the one cheating. She selected a tight, blue skirt with a white, sleeveless blouse that could be adjusted to show a lot of cleavage. Her long legs were accentuated by a very high pair of Louboutin heels. Underneath, she wore a black lacy bra and a lacy thong. Harrison seemed to like her in black lingerie. If she was going to be his Barbie, it was time to dress the part.

This time, when she arrived at Starbucks, Harrison was waiting for her. He was dressed casually in khaki pants and a short-sleeved blue Polo shirt. He opened his arms to hug her. “You look gorgeous, Reese.”

“Thank you. You aren’t too bad yourself.” She smiled. God, he was so sexy. She had missed him so much. The hold he had on her was unreal. The surrounding air seemed alive with electricity, and you could cut the sexual tension between them with a knife.

“I see you are wearing my bracelet. It looks beautiful on you.” He took her hand examining the bracelet.

“Yes, it does. It’s breathtaking.”

“Here sit. I have taken the liberty of ordering you a latte.” Harrison smiled at her.

“Of course. Thank you.”

Harrison ran his fingers through his hair. “I guess then you have thought about the arrangement we discussed.”

Reese sipped her latte. A little foam got on her upper lip.

“I love it when that happens.” Harrison laughed as she licked the white foam off her lips.

“Ha,” Reese smiled, “Yes, I have.”

“And? What do you think?”

“Honestly, Harrison, I don’t know if I can. If I want a real relationship, then I can’t have that with you.”

“No, you can’t, Reese. You have to know that.”

“But you mentioned fun. What does that entail?”

Harrison smiled broadly. “Well, my time is limited, obviously, but I can take you along on my ‘business’ trips. Frequently, I am called to interview clients pretty much anywhere, so there’s no reason you can’t accompany me. Additionally–”

“–So how often would we see each other?”

Harrison’s gaze had shifted to her cleavage. Subconsciously, he smacked his lips. “Fairly often, I would say.”

“Well, you have a lot of work I am sure. And then your family…” That thought caught in her throat.

“True. But I was thinking I could see you nearly every day during the week if you like.” Harrison smiled at her.

“Well, I work… I have a job, and sometimes I work overtime. That might be a problem. What about evenings?”

“Most evenings I will be unavailable after 7:00 p.m. It would have to be daytime.”

“I don’t think this is going to work, Harrison.” Reese sadly began gathering her things. “Thank you, but I can’t keep this.” She took the bracelet off.

Harrison grabbed her arm. “How about you quit?”

“Quit what? My job?”

“Yes. I can pay for everything.”

Reese took a step back. What? How much money did this guy have anyway?

She laughed. “Harrison, you cannot be serious. I make more than you think. My rent alone is $3,000.00 a month, plus all my expenses. In case you didn’t notice, I am wearing Louboutins. They run about–”

“–$1,000.00 a pair and more. I know. My wife has several dozen designer pairs in her shoe closet. I know all about female expenses, darling. I am sure I am quite capable of taking care of yours.”

“But I have worked hard in my career to reach this level. I make close to six figures a year, Harrison.”

“Don’t bore me with talk of a measly, six-figure salary, honey. I topped that long ago. I can give you what you have now plus trips, gifts etc.”

“Why would you want to do this? Sex?”

Harrison laughed. “If I just wanted sex, I would screw any girl in a bar. I want companionship. Someone I can have fun with and trust, and who is beautiful.”

Reese sighed. How could she turn this down? Harrison in many respects was the man of her dreams. Handsome, smart, wealthy… his only flaw was his marital status, and not having to work would be refreshing for a change. Maybe it would give her a chance to start writing the book she had always wanted to write, or to resume her painting hobby.

“Mr. Grantham, I think you just got yourself a Barbie.”
