   “Just, let go, babe”, h
e says, near my ear.

  Fuck it!

I start to enjoy myself, it’s not so much him moving my hips anymore, it’s me. I put my hands behind his head and play with his hair. I find myself, getting lost in the music. The songs seem to just blend together.

   “I’m really strug
gling to stay a gentleman, baby”, he whispers in a gravelly voice in my ear, a shiver goes down my spine. I feel his struggle in the bottom of my back, it feels incredibly big. Just as I’m about to tell him not to worry about being a gentleman and take me to his place and fuck me, Tate stands in front of me.

   “We’re leaving
” He goes to pull me away. It’s like having a bucket of cold water chucked over me.

“What? We haven’t been here that long. I haven’t even finished my drink yet” I say confused. He’s still tugging at my arm, one more time and I’ll lay him out right here. He feels the tension go in my body and drops my arm.

“It was a bad idea, come on
” I frown.

   “You’re leaving?” Tyler asks.
I nod, he grabs my phone from my pocket, I’m just about to protest but he rings himself and hands it back.

“Now I have your number”, h
e winks at me, before I’m dragged out of the club by Tate.

He pulls me to a stop when we get to his car; I yank my arm out of his grasp and glare at him.

“What the fuck is wrong with you? You asked me to come out. But when I’m having a good time, we leave? What about all the times I
’ve sat by myself while some whore was sucking you off in the bathroom? Or were you too drunk to remember that?” I ask, pissed off. I was really enjoying myself with Tyler.

“Nothing, don’t worry about it. Just get in the car and
I’ll take you home” He shrugs and gets in the car.

I close my eyes and count to 10.

1... 2... You don’t want to go to prison for killing your best friend. 3... 4... Deep breaths, in and out. 5... 6... If I try and kill him in the car, I can’t get home. 7... 8... Who would buy me milky stars every day? 9... 10... I blow out a big breath and get in the car.

I sit in the passenger seat quietly, Tate doesn’t say anything either.

My phone alerts me I have a message, looking down I see it’s from an unknown number; Tate looks over at me and shakes his head then goes back to focusing on the road.

Unknown:
It was nice meeting you, none of your business ;) T

I smile down at my phone, saving his number for future use. I text him back.

Me:
It was nice meeting you to
o

I pocket my phone. The car journey is tense but silent. When he pulls up at my drive, before he has a chance to talk to me, I quickly jump out the car and slam the door.

   “Cass! Wait!” he shouts af
ter me. I just flip him off over my shoulder and carry on walking to my front door.

“I’m sorry!” he says. I turn and look at him.

   “
It’s a little to fucking late Tate. Just go home!” I say. He growls and gets back in his car, he quickly reverses off my drive way and speeds off.

   “Wanker!”
I shout after him.

Pulling out my keys, I unlock my front door. I’m glad Jack and Justin have already pissed off out, don’t want them giving me the third degree, because I’m home after only being out for just over an hour.

These are the times I’m glad we have a deadbeat mum and dad. Me and m
y brothers live on our own, my nan and granddad left us the house and some savings each, I’m saving mine, I want to have my own bookshop one day. Jack spent some of his to get his mechanic shop up and running and Justin seems to have his hands in a bit of everything.

My nan and granddad raised us until they died two years ago. My heart feels heavier thinking about them.

I walk in my bedroom and flop down on to my bed. I sigh with confusion. Tate has always been close with me; I just thought that was what best friends were like. I don’t know how I feel with him acting all jealous, well angry is one of them.

Can we still be friends? Knowing he has feelings for me?

My phone alerts me again
, looking at it I see it’s from Tyler. A big smile spreads across my face.

Tyler:
So how’s your ‘friend’ doing?

Me:
We aren’t talking at the moment; obviously you rubbed him the wrong way.

I climb off my bed and make my way to the bathroom, whilst tying my long hair into a bun at the top of my head, I take off my little bit of
make-up and strip down and step into the shower.

I wash my body and think of Tyler’s hands on my hips. I wonder what it would feel like to have his hands running all over my body. I close my eyes and sigh.

I climb out when I’m all washed off, putting on a pair of my sleep shorts and old top. I walk back into my bedroom and sit back down on my bed with my kindle in hand, I check my phone and see Tyler texted me while I was in the shower.

Tyler:
Trouble in paradise? Lol, I’ll cheer you up if you want? ;)

I shake my head and smile, such a flirt. He could charm the knickers off a nun.

Me:
I’m sure you would. And you have to be in paradise to have trouble.

I put my phone down and pick up my kindle and start reading my book, again. I would have been finished this by now, if I didn’t go out.

I’m brought out of my book by my phone ringing; I frown when I see its Tyler.

“Hello?”

“Hey babe, I was just wondering if you were going to text me back”

My eyebrows pull together; I pull my phone away from my ear and look at the time. My eyes widen when I see an hour and a half has passed.

“Shit, sorry. I started reading my kindle and must have zoned out”

He chuckles.

“What are you reading? Never saw you as a bookworm. Normally they are quiet and not very outgoing”

I’m shocked he even asked, normally no one wants to talk about books with me; I try and tell them when I have to let off some frustration. But Iliterally see it coming out the other ear
.

“I’m reading Biker Bait by Ellie R Hunter”

I smile, I only have 10% left, and it’s getting to a really good bit.

“Bikers, huh? Not to brag or anything but I have a bike. Wanna ride with me? I mean it”

  I
literally squeal and laugh.

“Are we talking about a push bike or a vroom vroom bike?”

I hear him boom out his laughter down the phone, its full belly laughter.

“A vroom vroom bike? Oh God, Cass!”

He starts laughing all over again, I smile.

“I’m so glad you find me amusing, mister”

Once he gets himself
back to normal, it’s been at least five minutes. We carry on our conversation.

“Are you going to answer me now that you’ve stopped laughing at me?”

“You brought it on yourself babe. A vroom vroom bike”

I hear the smile in his voice, picturing him straddling a bike does things to my insides.

“You’re going to hold this over my head aren’t you?” I sigh.

“Of course babe you’ve made my day, again”

I smile; he really is a born charmer.

“So when can I see you again?”

“Eagar beaver, aren’t you?”

He chuckles again.

“Not my fault I can’t wait to see you again”

“You only met me tonight, don’t tell me you’re missing me already?”

He sighs.

“I am, I’m dying to see my beautiful lady again. So when can I?”

I roll my eyes.

“I don’t know yet, but I’m going to sleep now. Bye Tyler”

“Fine, but I will get to see you again. Bye babe”

I hang up and put my phone on the side on charge, picking up my kindle again, I start to read. I don’t even get to read the first sentence when my phone goes off again; alerting me I have a text.

Tyler:
sweet dreams, beautiful. Dream of me ;)

I smile and put my phone back on the side.

I finish my book and put my kindle down, well I wasn’t expecting that. Turning off my bedside light and laying down, my thoughts start rushing through my head. Does Tate really have feelings for me? Why didn’t he say anything? When did he start seeing me as more than a friend? Does he feel threatened by Tyler? I sigh and turn over to my side. I’ll figure it all out in the morning.

****

I wake up at 9.30 in the morning, I yawn and put my arms above my head to stretch, blinking away the sleep in my eyes, and I pick up my phone and see I have a message from Tate.

Tate:
Sorry for acting like an arse last night babe, please say you’ll forgive me?

He’s sorry? Rolling my eyes,
I come out of his message, seeing I have one from Tyler too, I open that as well.

Tyler:
Morning sleeping beauty, how did you sleep? Did you dream of me? I sure dreamt about you ;)

I laugh and sit up, I reply to him.

Me:
Morning Ty, I slept fine thank you, you? And that would be telling wouldn’t it ;) was I nice in your dream? Lol

I put my phone back on the bedside table and walk in the bathroom so I can take care of business.

When I’m finished, I walk out the bathroom and back over to my bed and get my phone and taking it off charge, I see Tyler has texted me back and smile.

Tyler:
Best night’s sleep I’ve had in weeks, you did dream about me didn’t you... Was it naughty ;) and you were really really nice in my dream.

Smiling, I walk out of my bedroom and make my way to the kitchen. I know my brother’s won’t be up until at least 11, I sigh. These are the moments I love in my house, when it’s all quiet.

Grabbing some cereal from the top of the fridge, I pour myself a bowl. I sit down at the table with my breakfast and my phone, and reply back to Tyler.

Me:
You’re a perv, aren’t you? Lol

I place my phone down and continue eating my breakfast, when I’m nearly finished he replies back. I finish my cereal then reply.

Tyler:
Me? A perv? Never! I’m the perfect gentleman, remember?

I laugh out loud with that.

   Me:
And if I remember rightly, you said you were struggling to stay a gentleman, I felt how hard it was for you to stay being a gentleman ;)

I put my bowl in the sink and walk back to my bedroom. I sit down on the bed and look for new books on my phone. It’s not like I need more, but authors should really stop making great books.

I pick up my phone and see its 10 o clock, I decide to get dressed.

Leaving my phone on my bed, I walk over to my wardrobe and look for something to wear,
I pick out a pair of black leggings and a nice grey flowing top, I grab my matching bra and knickers.

I finish getting dressed and put on a pair of socks and sit back on my bed; I check my phone and see Tyler has messaged me back again. I love the flirty banter we have going on, he’s just so easy to talk too.

Tyler:
Damn your memory! So can I see you today?

Rollin
g my eyes, persistent isn’t he?

Me:
Where would you take me if we did go out today?

I should text back Tate. I pull up his last message and see he sent that at 2 o clock this morning.

Me:
I really don’t understand why you went like that Tate? You invited me out, and then basically drag me home, with only being there just over an hour. And with the whole possessive thing, what the fuck was that? You’re my best friend. Not my body guard. You might as well of pissed on my leg to mark your territory!

I can feel myself getting angry again.I decided to ring Tyler. Hopefully he can take my mind off it, just so I don’t go and suffocate my best friend in his sleep.

“Yellow... Tyler the sexy hunk speaking” I laugh and play along.

“Oh this is Tyler the sexy hunk? Must have dialled the wrong number then”

He scoffs then chuckles.

“Ha! Like you know more than one sexy hunk, Tyler, I’m a rare species I’ll have you know” That causes the laugh I’ve been trying to hold in, to come bursting out.

“All joking aside, what can I do for you babe? Finally going to take me up on my offer to see this gorgeous face again?” I sigh, fuck it. Why not, I haven’t got to do dinner till 3.

“I am. Where do you want to meet?”

“I’ll pick you up, but not on my vroom vroom bike” I roll my eyes and tell him my address. He agrees to pick me up in 20 minutes.

Grabbing my leather jacket, that is hanging off my desk chair and put on my boots from last night. I walk in my bathroom and put on a few sweeps of mascara and some eyeliner. I brush my teeth and my hair.

I spray myself with a little perfume and leave my bedroom. Walking in the kitchen, I find a post it note so I can tell my brother’s that I’ve gone out but I’ll be back for the film and dinner.
