“You were gone for like two days.”

“Shut up! You missed me too.”

I didn’t say anything.

“I’m so glad to be home. How’s Janice?”

I smiled. “She’s good.”

She pulled away and looked at me.
“My weekend was so shitty. I have to tell you all about it.”

I rolled my eyes. “Could you just tell Cortland?”

She hit me on the shoulder. “Don’t act like you don’t care.”

“I’m not.”

She glared at me.

“I’m just kidd
ing, Scar. You know I love you.”

“It would
n’t hurt to say it more than once in a great while.”

I shook my head. “That’s too often.” I turned to Sean. “I’m glad to see you survived. Are you sure you want to still marry my sister? I know she’s fucking crazy.”

He shrugged. “I keep going back and forth.”

Scarlet hit him on the arm. “That’s not funny.”

I laughed as I walked back to the car. Scarlet got in the backseat with me and started blabbing the entire ride back to my apartment. Her weekend was pretty horrific and I felt bad for her. The plane incident was just hilarious. It sounded like something Janice and I would. I would have to remember that next time we traveled.

When we got back to the apartment, Janice and Scarlet embraced then we sat on the couch. Scarlet sat next to me and continued to talk about how much she disliked Sean’s pretentious family. I looked over at Janice on the other couch—the loser couch—and gave a sad smile. I disliked not being next to her. Sean looked angry, like he was trying to bottle it inside.

When Sean exploded and yelled at Scarlet because she was saying hurtful things about his family, I knew the evening was over. It didn’t last long. Sean chased her into the bathroom.

I looked at Cortland. “Scarlet can be really stupid sometimes.”

He sighed. “Yeah.”

Janice leaned back. “I understand why she’s upset, but she needs to get a filter. Sometimes she doesn’t think before she talks.”

“Sometimes?” I asked.

“Okay. She never thinks before she talks,” Janice said.

Sean and Scarlet came back into the living room, obviously still angry at each other, and Cortland rose to his feet and walked with them out of the door.

When they were gone, I sighed.

“What is it?” Janice asked.

I shrugged. “They just argue a lot.”

“We argue.”

“In a playful way.”

“Well, we are different than other people—weird.”

“I suppose.” I rose from the couch then picked her up. “Let’s go to bed.”

“You aren’t going to call Scarlet?”

“I can’t fix all her problems,” I said as I carried Janice into our bedroom. I placed her on the bed then started to take off my clothes.

She watched me with a hungry expression and fell silent, Scarlet forgotten.

“Since you blew my mind yesterday, I want to please you, baby. How do you want to come?”

She smiled. “You know what I want.”

I kneeled at the bed then pulled her hips to me, removing her pants and underwear. “You got it.”

She leaned back and sighed. Her legs shook slightly with excitement.

As soon as I kissed her clit, she moaned. “Ryan.”

“Just enjoy it, baby.” I kissed her gently while I rubbed her legs with my hands, making her excited and aroused at the same time. I liked to start slow with Janice. When I built her to a climax this way, she always had the best orgasms. I liked pleasing her as much as possible. If I satisfied her in every way, I wouldn’t have to worry about her ever leaving me. I never wanted her to go.

When I inserted my tongue inside her, she gripped my forearms. “Oh—Ryan.”

I continue to massage her thighs while I moved inside her. Her fingers glided through my hair as I kissed her. She was crumbling before me immediately. I didn’t have to do much to please her. She was always wet and horny for me.

When I rubbed her clit with my thumb, she moaned again. “Oh—god.”

I knew she was going to come. I darted my tongue inside her while I rubbed her clit harder. Her legs were shaking and she was panting for me.

“Don’t stop, Ryan.”

I didn’t.

“Oh—God. Ryan—oh.”

I pulled away and massaged her while she came down from her high. “What do you say?”

“Thank you, your majesty,” she said through her heavy breathing.

“You’re welcome,” I said with a smile. I grabbed my cock and massaged myself gently. I was so horny I thought I would explode. Now I wanted to come. I stood up and kneeled over her, preparing to fuck her.

She grabbed me and pulled me down to the bed. Then
, she moved to the foot of the bed and pulled my hips toward her. “Your turn.”

I couldn’t hide my excitement. Janice gave amazing head. Just imagining her tongue gliding over my tip made me shiver. “Yes.”

“You want it?”

“Fuck yes.”

She grabbed me and kissed the tip lightly.

I moaned.

“I’ll be right back.”

I moaned in pain. I wanted to feel myself slide to the back of her throat.

When she came back, she placed a glass of water on the floor then tied a cloth napkin around my head, covering my eyes. I clenched my fists in excitement.

“Is this okay, your majesty?”

“Yeah.”

I heard her kneel before me. I couldn’t see anything, but I could feel her breasts against my knees. I heard her pick up the glass then return it to the floor. I waited for her mouth to close over me. The anticipation was enough to kill me. “Baby, please,” I begged. “Please.” I felt pathetic begging her to go down on me, but I was too horny to care. She did this to me, made me feel this way.

When I felt her mouth close over me, I moaned. It was cold—very cold. An ice cube was in her mouth and felt it so good in her warm mouth. “Baby.” She sucked my tip until the ice melted. “Yeah.”

She shoved me all the way to the back of her mouth then out again.

I reached down and grabbed her head, clasping her hair in my fingers. “I can’t—oh god.”

She continued to move me in and out of her mouth. I never lasted long when she gave me head. Even though I couldn’t see anything, I imagined her shoving my cock into the back of her throat. My dick was starting to swell as I felt the brink of the orgasm. Janice was too good at this for me to stay in control. I tried to hold it back but I was failing. “Baby, I’m gonna come.”

She pulled her lips away. “Not yet.”

“Baby, come back.”

“I will,” she said as he licked my tip again.

I moaned. “Baby, please.”

“Be patient.” She deep-throated me again and I bit my lips as I felt her tongue slide across me. She increased her pace until I was crumbling again. I started to thrust my hips inside her as I felt my orgasm start. I didn’t make a sound because I didn’t want her to pull away. I wanted to come. Right before I reached my climax, she removed her mouth from my cock.

“Come on,” I said with a moan.

“It’ll be worth it,” she whispered before she returned her mouth to me.

I sat up and placed my hands behind her head, thrusting myself gently inside her. “Stop teasing me, baby.” She shoved me to the back of her throat repeatedly. It felt so good. I felt my orgasm return. “Please let me come.”

She used her hand to stroke me while she went down on me. At the second stroke, I felt myself explode. It crashed through me like a tidal wave from an approaching hurricane. It shattered me completely, making my head spin. The pleasure was almost too much. “Oh shit.” It flooded my body and ignited my veins, lighting me in a fiery blaze. It was the most intense orgasm I ever had. I was left feeling weak and throttled. I collapsed on the bed and tried to catch my breath. I didn’t remove the blindfold and just lied there.

Janice pulled away then crawled on top of me. When she removed my blindfold, she looked at me. “You liked that?”

“Oh—I—hmm.”

“That’s what I thought,” she said as she kissed me on the lips. “Good night.”

“Muh.”

6

The next morning Scarlet came over with all of her belongings. I was so annoyed by her appearance. I didn’t have a problem with her staying with me because I loved having her around, but I was irritated that she ran from Sean. I’ve never been engaged, but I know couples don’t run from each other when they live together. Plus, she was infringing on my privacy with Janice. She and I did a lot of crazy shit in the bedroom. The last thing I wanted to do was be quiet.

When I went to work, I tried to forget about the fact that my sister was staying with me. Hopefully it would just be for a day or two. I assumed Sean would drag her back once he got fed up with her staying there. She didn’t say what happened between them, but I assumed it had something to do with the weekend they just had. Scarlet blatantly insulted Sean’s family, and I understood why that bothered him even if the insults were true. I thought Scarlet was a pain in the ass but if anyone insulted her besides me and our family, I would go bat shit crazy on them.

Scarlet told me everything when I came home that afternoon. After she told me what she was feeling, I wanted to slap her. She was being so fucking stupid and unreasonable. I’m surprised Sean didn’t kick her out on her ass. She was being
totally selfish. I was thankful that Sean was willing to put up with this.

Scarlet left for her room shortly afterward. I told her to go back to Sean but I knew she wouldn’t. She was too stubborn about this whole wedding fiasco. I understood her point of view but I still thought it was stupid.

I looked at Janice. “You want to go to dinner, baby?”

“If you let me pay.”

I glared at her. “I already had to deal with one brat. Now you too?”

She rolled her eyes. “Fine.”

“Mega-Shake?”

“Okay,” she said. “But that’s really fattening.”

“Good,” I said. “I want you to eat.”

“You should enjoy my body while you can. When I’m pregnant I’m not going to look so fine.”

I pulled her to stand and placed my hands on her stomach. “You would probably be even more fine if you were pregnant.”

She raised an eyebrow.

“I’m being serious. You would look cute with a swollen belly. It would be hot knowing you were carrying my child—that I put that inside you.”

She rubbed her nose against mine. “You’re sweet, Ryan. But when I demand ice cream in the middle of the night, get mad over the dumbest things, and eat everything in sight you’ll feel differently.”

“You sound like my sister.”

She laughed.

“And if I can handle her then I can handle you.”

“You’ve had a lot of practice.”

“And if our kids are brats then I’ll be prepared too.” I kissed her on the forehead. “Let’s go, baby.” I grabbed her hand and we walked out the door. When we stood in the elevator, I pushed her against the wall and started to kiss her neck, tasting her skin. She ran her fingers through my hair while she closed her eyes. When the doors opened, we left and headed down to the street.

It was dark this fall even
ing and a bit chilly. I pulled Janice next to me as we walked to the restaurant a few blocks down. When we got inside, I led Janice to a seat then I ordered for the both of us. When I placed the food in front of her she smiled at me.

“What?” I asked.

“You’re just so sweet.”

“You’re just noticing this now?”

She shook her head. “It still surprises me.”

“I’ve always been sweet to you.”

“I know. But when I see you with other people I realize how rare that is for you.”

I smiled. “That’s true.” I hate my fries while I stared at Janice across from me. She picked at her food and ate half of it. She never finished a meal no matter how small it was. Scarlet practically inhaled her food like a pig. It was ironic that these two were such good friends but so different. “I’m so glad you aren’t a brat like Scarlet.”

She laughed. “She isn’t a brat.”

“She’s being on
e right now. Poor Sean.”

“She
’ll realize she’s wrong then go back to him.”

“You don’t understand how stubborn that girl is.”

“Yes. But I also understand how much she loves Sean.”

“Not when her head is up her ass.”

She laughed again. “Leave her alone.”

“This is her first real relationship. I don’t want her to screw it up by being an idiot.”

“She can’t. Sean would never leave her.”

“I hope so.” I wiped my mouth with a napkin then placed it on the table. When I looked at Janice, I admired her exceptional beauty. Her lips were thin with a slight curve. Her eyes sparked like diamonds. “Baby, can I ask you something?”

She looked at me. “You can ask me anything. You already know that.”

I took a deep breath. “Have you ever been in a relationship before?”

“Of course.”

“I mean
a serious one. Serious like us.”

She was quiet for a moment. “Yes.”

I felt my heart fall. I don’t know why it bothered me. It was ridiculous to assume that I was the only man she ever really cared about. “Did you—love him?”

“I thought I did.”

“Why did you break up?”

She shrugged. “We just fought a lot until we were both tired of it. It came to a point where we both loathed each other. We went our separate ways.”

“Do you still talk to him?”

“Sometimes but very rarely.”

I nodded.

“Does that bother you, Ryan?”

I swallowed the lump in my throat. “No.”

She stared at me.
“I never loved him the way I love you. I want you to know that.”

“Okay.”

She started to pick her fries again.

“Did you ever talk about marriage?”

She shrugged. “It came up but we didn’t have a serious conversation about it.”

“Did you want to marry him?”

“The relationship wouldn’t have ended if I did.”

That made me feel a little better.

“Please don’t let it bother you, Ryan.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I love you and only you.”

“Did he meet your family?”

“Yes. He’s a close family friend.”

Now I felt panicked again.

“I live here with you.”

“Do your parents know why you moved her
e?”

She was quiet for a moment. “I told them I moved for a job.”

That hurt. I assumed she told them about me. “Oh.”

“Don’t take it personally, Ryan. I didn’t want them to think I was crazy for moving to the other side of the country for a guy I just met. And I started living with him right away.”

I said nothing.

“Ryan?”

“Why haven’t you told them about me now? We’ve been together for six months. I told you that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Her eyes softened. “I’ll tell them, okay?”

“And I want to meet them.”

“You do?”

I nodded.

“Have you ever met a girlfriend’s parents?”

“No.”

“Are you sure you want to?”

“Of course. I’m serious about us, baby. And if they have a problem with you moving here for me, I have to prove how much I care about you.”

“Okay. We can wait a while. We don’t have to do this now.”

“I’m ready whenever you are.”

She stared at me incredulously. “You don’t have to prove anything to me, Ryan.”

“How often do you talk to this guy? What’s his name?”

She stared at me. “Some girl calls you nonstop two nights in a row then you go out to the bars with all your buddies. I’ve never questioned you or assumed you were being anything less than honest and trustworthy. I deserve that same respect, Ryan.”

I dropped my gaze. “You’re right. I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay.”

“I know you wouldn’t betray me, but I was just wondering. It doesn’t matter how many different girls call me because I’ve only loved one person for my entire life—you. No one even comes close. But you actually loved this guy. It’s just different.”

She sighed. “His name is Adam. We’ve only talked once since I moved her
e and it was short and boring.”

“Did you tell him about me?”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“I just said he was a close friend of my family. Obviously, he would tell them.”

I nodded.

“So, since you are being so nosy it’s my turn to ask some questions. “Why does that girl keeping calling you?”

I knew I should have backed off. Now I was pushed into a corner. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to lie to her. “She doesn’t mean anything to me, Janice.”

“I know that, Ryan, but that isn’t what I asked.”

“You know about my past. I had casual sex with a lot of partners. She was one of them. You can figure it out.”

She leaned back in her chair. “I figured.”

“I don’t want her,” I said quickly. “Just you.”

“I already know that, Ryan.”

I breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you for trusting me.”

“And you better trust me.”

“I do, baby.”

“It didn’t seem like it.”

“I—I just got jealous. I’m sorry.”

“I accept your apology.”

“Thank you.”

She nodded.

“Can you promise me something?”

“Anything.”

I smiled. “If we ever do fight, you won’t leave the apartment. We stay together.”

She nodded. “I promise.”

I breathed a sigh of relief.

“I wouldn’t run anyway, Ryan. And I can’t see us fighting.”

“We’ll see. Every couple fights.”

“We aren’t like other couples.”

“Definitely not.”

She leaned back in her chair and looked at me.

“You ready to go?”

She nodded.

We both rose from the chair then walked back to the apartment. When we were walking down the street,
a few shady guys were nearby. I tightened my hold on Janice and held her to my chest. I could tell she was scared. After Carl harassed her she seemed to be frightened of everything. I understood her fear. I couldn’t imagine what it would feel like to be so small and weak. We passed them by with no incident. Janice breathed a sigh of relief.

“Baby, you never have to be scared when you’re with me.”

“I know. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t apo
logize. I just want you to know that I’ll protect you.”

“Okay.”

We made it back to the apartment then walked into our bedroom. Scarlet’s bedroom door was closed. Normally when she was depressed I would lie on the floor next to her, but I didn’t think this situation warranted that. The reason why they were fighting was because of her—not Sean. We went into our bedroom then closed to the door.

I sighed as I took off my clothes.

“What’s wrong?” she asked.

“I don’t mind having Scarlet here but I miss my privacy.”

“I know what you mean.” She crawled into bed then lied down.

I slid in next to her then climbed on top of her. “I hate having to be quiet.”

She placed her hand on my chest. “I don’t want to do it when your sister is here.”

“We’ve done it before.”

“But it’s just weird.”

“Who knows how long she’ll be here.”

“Ryan, we’ll survive.”

I pressed my forehead against hers and stared at her. “You will make love to me. You don’t get a choice in this manner. Do you understand me?”

She was quiet for a moment. “Yes.”

“Good.” I separated her legs with mine then leaned over her, inserting myself within her slowly. Before she could moan, I pressed my lips over hers and kissed her gently. I ran my fingers through her hair while I moved deep inside her. She was wet like she always was. I was careful not to slam the headboard against the wall while I made love to her.

We had never been quieter when making love. The sound of her breathing was all I heard. I could hear the sound of my cock sliding into her because of the moisture between her legs. The sound was making me even more aroused. She scratched my back then grabbed my ass, pulling me further into her. I knew she was about to come.

“Baby, try to stay quiet.”

She moaned quietly.

I moved into her faster, rattling the headboard slightly, and felt her tighten around me. She bit her lip while she came. Her hands tightened on my shoulders, digging the nail
s into the skin, but she remained silent. She breathed heavily and started to sweat. I knew she was done when she loosened her nails. Then, I let myself go.
