When Luke moved his mouth to my neck, I said, “About that show-and-tell….”

He gave a husky laugh. “Show-and-tell will have to wait. Fisk might call to report his findings any minute, and I don’t want to be disturbed during show-and-tell.”

“I hope he comes up with something before tonight’s luau,” I said. “That might be an excellent place to gather information.”

“Ah…so you’re getting into the spirit of things too.”

I grinned. “I am. It’s exciting. But then everything is exciting with you.”

“Slip on your swimsuit, and let’s go down to the beach.”

We walked hand in hand ankle-deep in the water off Waikiki Beach. The sun felt glorious on my skin. I wore a black bikini with a gauzy white cover-up and a wide-brimmed white straw hat.

Luke wore red swim trunks. I caught several women staring at him as we passed by, openly admiring. Who could blame them, though? My guy was gorgeous—dark hair, frosty blue eyes, perfect teeth, dimples you could drink from. And that was only from the neck up! With his broad shoulders, chiseled pecs and abs, flat stomach, tight butt, and muscular legs, he was just the total package.

I smiled at the women like
Ha ha, he’s all
mine
.

A sudden, more forceful wave came up and splashed our calves. I squealed and giggled.

Luke swept me up into his arms. “I could take you out and drop you into the ocean, you know.”

“You could. But I’ll drag you down with me.”

“Hmm…might be fun.” He let me down. “I’d better save that move for later, though. I have my phone in my pocket.”

I laughed and looked around at the crowded beach, the feathery palms, the giggling children, the foamy waves, and the sailboats a short distance away. “Isn’t all this glorious?”

“Yes, it is.” He took my hand, raised it to his lips, and kissed it. Then he kept it ensconced in his own large hand as we continued walking down the beach.

I noticed a young couple with a baby. Farther on down the beach, an old couple was walking together. The man had a metal detector, and they were apparently searching for treasure. I grinned at the life progression represented here on the beach.

“What’re you smiling about?” Luke asked.

I nodded toward the elderly couple. “That might be us someday.”

“Maybe.”

Luke’s phone rang. As he answered it, we strode out of the water and onto the beach.

“Hi, Fisk. What’d you find out?”

He listened while Fisk relayed the information. I could hear Fisk’s clipped voice, but I couldn’t understand what he was saying. I knew Luke would fill me in when he finished his call.

I bent and picked up a large triton shell by my foot. It was white with a ruffled edge and brown and tan markings.

Luke walked over to me as he put his phone back into his pocket. “What did you find?”

“A shell. Isn’t it pretty?”

“It is.” He held out his hand. “Here. I’ll put it in my pocket until we get back to the room.”

I handed him the shell. “What did Fisk say?”

“The Columbus and De Marco wedding party is still staying at the hotel. The couple had only gotten married yesterday.”

“And he was found dead this morning? How tragic!”

“It is,” Luke agreed. “Fisk says the security guards have no leads whatsoever.”

“So then…what?” I asked. “What was the motive for the murder?”

“That’s what we’ll soon find out, babe.” He winked. “But, for now, I want to see what you bought at the toy store.”

I laughed. “No. I want to see what
you
bought.”

“I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.”

When we got back to our room, Luke suggested we start with one of mine. I chose the massage kit.

“This has possibilities,” he said.

“Get undressed and lie back on the bed, and let’s discover those possibilities.”

I lit the aromatherapy candle and then turned on the massager so it would heat up. I put the warming oil on the nightstand.

I’d already taken off my hat, but I slowly and sensuously removed my cover-up, then my bikini top, and then my panties. I was thrilled to see that my performance got a rise out of Luke.

He lay naked on the bed, his legs splayed apart, and his hands clasped behind his head.

I started at the foot of the bed, kissing his left ankle…working my way up his calf…his thigh…and then licking his balls before moving back down to the other leg. Again, I worked my way up to licking his balls, pleased when he spread his legs wider and arched his back.

I put my mouth over his erect cock and slid down, sucking the head and teasing it with my tongue every time I came up. He groaned.

“You’re killing me,” he ground out.

I went back down. I sucked him slowly, wanting to tantalize him. I cupped his sac and ran my thumb over his balls as I sucked his cock.

Then I sat up, straddled him, and tasted his nipples. When they grew even harder, I took the aromatherapy candle and dripped just a little wax onto the buds.

“Ow!” He smiled. “That was wicked.”

I returned his smile. “I’m just getting started.” I took the warming oil and rubbed it in my palms. I rubbed it over Luke’s chest, his shoulders, his legs.

“Roll over,” I said.

He looked down at his erection. “Seriously?”

“Okay, then, stand up and face the bed.”

He did.

I took more warming oil and rubbed it down his back. Then I warmed more in my hands and began to massage his sexy ass. First, I massaged the cheeks, and then I tickled the skin between his sac and his hole.

He moaned.

When I slid my index finger into his hole, he drew in his breath.

“Feel good?”

“Oh, yeah.”

I added my middle finger to give him a little more girth.

He groaned. “I need you…please…let me have you.”

I fingered him just a few moments longer. “How do you want me?”

“Bent over this bed…doggy style.”

I slowly, teasingly, removed my fingers and stood. Before bending over the bed, I kissed him.

He made the kiss more forceful, his tongue invading my mouth and taking possession of it. Then he turned me away from him, bent me over the bed, and drove his dick into my hot, wet pussy. He pounded me, slapping my ass, and then holding my hips as he rode me harder, driving into me so deep I could feel his balls against me.

“Oh, yes!” I cried. “Yes!”

He took one hand and fingered my clit until I thought my legs were going to give out. And then we came together.

A few minutes later, we were cuddled on the bed when Luke said, “Now I get to show you one of mine.”

“Already?”

He chuckled. “It’s just something I want you to wear for me.” He reached into the bag he’d placed on his side of the bed and took out a small pink box.

I opened the box to reveal a barely-there pair of black lace and satin panties. The sides were lace with satin ties, and they were satin in the front and back.

“Wow, these are sexy.”

“I know,” Luke said. “And while we’re at the luau, I want the anticipation of taking them off you.”

Chapter Four

While Luke was shaving, I slipped on the panties he’d bought me. They felt a little odd—a bit heavy in front—but I chalked it up to their being new and my not wearing any panties all day prior to putting them on. I put on a black lace corset to complement them. I’d bought it before we left, and Luke hadn’t seen it yet. I thought that if he was looking forward to seeing me in the panties, then the corset would be an added, unexpected bonus for him. Then I slid on a strapless, black silk maxi dress with a slit to mid-thigh and a pair of silver thong sandals. It was a casual look, but I thought it was sexy too.

I sat at the vanity and put on my makeup and a spritz of perfume. Luke came out of the bathroom looking and smelling gorgeous. He wore khaki slacks, boat shoes, and a blue and white Hawaiian shirt. I got up and went to kiss him.

“You’re beautiful,” he said, as he brushed the hair off my shoulder and kissed my collarbone.

“So are you.” I grinned. “We could order in again.”

He shook his head. “I didn’t bring you to Hawaii to keep you all to myself for two weeks. This will be fun. I think you’ll enjoy it. And I
know
I will.”

“So you’ve been to a luau before?”

“I have…once. I’m going to enjoy this one even more though,” he said.

“What aren’t you telling me?”

He tried—unsuccessfully—to look innocent. “I’m just saying I think we’ll enjoy it. Plus, we’re going to use it as an opportunity to find out whatever we can about the Columbus murder…right?”

“Yeah….”

“When we first get there, let’s get a couple of mai tais and mingle separately before the dinner begins,” he said.

“Oh, so that’s it. You’re going to ditch me.”

He smiled. “It’s not like that. We’re going on a fact-finding mission.”

“What happened to
we’ll enjoy ourselves
?” I asked.

“We will. I just think we can try to gather a little information in the process.” He placed his hands on my shoulders. “Come on. You’re a journalist. You enjoy talking with people.”

“That’s true.” I narrowed my eyes. “Still, I get the feeling there’s something you’re not telling me.”

He blew out a breath. “Okay. You might find some of the foods a little too unusual for your palate. But, if that’s the case, we’ll order up some chocolate-dipped strawberries to have in our room after the luau.”

“Okay.” He might’ve thought he had me fooled, but he didn’t. Whatever he was hiding from me had nothing to do with the food.

Hand in hand, we left the room and went down to the luau. A beautiful woman and an equally beautiful man dressed in native attire were on hand to provide us with leis. The woman placed the fuchsia and white flowered wreath around Luke’s neck and kissed his cheek. The man did the same with me.

We thanked them and made our way on into the large party room. A band was setting up to play live music later on, but for now,
Over the Rainbow
by the late Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwo’ole was playing.

“He had such a gorgeous voice,” I said.

“Yes, he did,” Luke agreed.

I looked around at the crowd. “So…now what?”

“I’ll grab us a drink and—”

“No,” I interrupted. “If we’re going to be talking with people about the murder, I want to be clear headed. I’d rather not drink until we sit down to dinner.”

“All right then. I’ll go get a drink, and you can start to mingle.”

“Okay.”

He kissed my cheek and then began winding through the crowd.

I was wondering where to start when an older man approached me.

“That your husband?” he asked.

“It is,” I said.

“He’s a lucky man.”

I turned to take in the man’s gray hair, rheumy brown eyes, and bony shoulders. He somehow reminded me of a tiny bird.

I smiled. “Thank you.”

“Yep. You’re a
nani wahine
. That means ‘beautiful woman.’ I’ve been learning some Hawaiian.”

“Well…thank you,” I said again.

“You probably think I’m a
lolo kahiko kane
—a crazy old man!”

I started to laugh, but suddenly the panties Luke had bought me sprang to life and began vibrating against my clit.

I stifled a yelp and began searching the room for Luke.

“Are you all right?” the man asked.

I kept looking for my husband. There he was…one hand holding a mai tai, the other in his pocket…looking smug…wagging his eyebrows…grinning all over his handsome face.

I glared at him. Suddenly, the vibration intensified. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

“Miss?”

The vibration suddenly stopped. I opened my eyes.

The old guy now had his hand on my shoulder. “Are you okay? Do you need to sit down?”

“I’m fine,” I said.

“Okay. I thought maybe I’d made you
hu hu
—that means angry,” he said.

“No, I just…um…had a twinge. I’m okay now…I think.” I needed to at least
try
to get my mind off of Luke and the fact that these panties had a hidden vibrator in them to which Luke had the controls. “So…did you hear about that man getting killed this morning?”

The man shook his head. “I didn’t hear a thing about it. What happened?”

Again, there was a sudden jolt of electric ecstasy to my clit. I drew in a quick breath. “Um…could you please excuse me?”

He nodded, obviously thinking I was having some sort of physical or mental breakdown.

I started in the direction where I’d last spotted Luke only to realize he wasn’t there anymore. I looked around frantically.

The intensity deepened, and I had to brace myself against the wall.

Although my pal, the birdman, had disappeared, someone with the hotel came to my assistance. She was an Asian woman with a severe bun. Her eyes were filled with concern.

“Are you all right? Do you need to sit down?” she asked.

“I’m fine….” I panted. “I’m…oh!”

I heard Luke’s voice from behind us.

“Here, darling, let me help you.” He took my shoulders and started leading me toward a chair.

“Cut it off!” I hissed.

“Hmmm? What are you talking about?”

The glint in his eyes told me he knew exactly what I was talking about. He did not, however, cut it off.

He nodded a dismissal to the Asian woman. “Thank you so much for your help. I’ll take care of her now.”

The woman left us to see to her other patrons.

He was still headed toward the chairs, but I went past the chairs and into the hallway.

“Hey! Where are you going?”

I didn’t answer him. I went around a corner to a deserted part of the hallway.

Luke, of course, was right behind me. “Come on…. Wasn’t it a nice surprise?”

“In a room full of people?”

Luke put his hand in his pocket, and the vibration came to an abrupt halt. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed. I’m sorry to add that I couldn’t hide that disappointment.

“Aha! You did like it.”

“Of course, I
liked
it,” I said. “I just didn’t like—
don’t
like—that I’m this turned on and we can’t do anything about it.”
