~ Jessica ~

I couldn’t believe I was actually going through with this. I was actually doing this? No, I must have been crazy. I must have been. That’s the only explanation for my actions right now. I can’t believe I’m actually going to meet Forrest’s mom.

“Baby, you okay?”

We were currently standing outside Trey’s mansion door. Forrest was about to knock on the door, but he wanted to check up on me first, to see if I was okay.

I could still back out of this, right? I didn’t need to do this now. I didn’t need to do this.

“I’m fine, Forrest,” I smiled warmly at him, before grabbing hold of his hand and watching as he knocked on the door.

But I couldn’t back out of this. Not when I was falling deeply in love with him.

Two loud knocks were all it took to get Tremaine to come answer the door. As far as I was concerned I wasn’t here for Trey... I was only here to support Forrest. He wanted me to meet his mother and I was going to respect his wishes, because not only was he my boyfriend now, he was my man.

“Hey bro.” Forrest unlocked his hands from mine and dapped his brother. They hadn’t seen each other for two days now, only because Forrest had been with me all weekend.

“Hey Jess,” Trey attempted to greet me, but I just nodded at him, not really wanting to talk to him.

“Where’s Mama?” Forrest questioned Tremaine.

“In the living room. Come through.” Tremaine then started to lead the way into his modern styled living room.

It didn’t take long for us to notice each other. She was resting her head on one of the sofa pillows, but when we all got into the room she sat up straight.

“Mama,” Forrest greeted her warmly, spreading his arms out for her to come into them and hug him.

“My baby boy!” she got up out of her seat, clearly very excited to see him.

She was petite. Petite, with a milk chocolate skin complexion, wrinkle free skin and those sharp brown eyes. She was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I could definitely see where Forrest and Trey had gotten their good looks from.

“And who is this pretty young lady, Forrest?” she questioned her son, before slowly starting to observe me.

“This, Mama,” he left her arms, coming closer to me, “is my amazing girlfriend, Jessica.” He held on to my hands, squeezing them tight. I guessed that was my cue to speak to her.

“Hello, it’s very nice to meet you Miss Tucker.” Thank God Forrest had told me that she hadn’t married his dad or else I would have made the terrible mistake of calling her Mrs.

“It’s nice to meet you too, Jessica. Come sit down honey, next to me.” She beckoned me to come sit next to her on the sofa and I did as she wanted.

At first it was awkward, very, very awkward. Forrest and Trey were sitting on the opposite couch, just staring at us. Forrest was staring at me in particular and I knew that he wanted me to make conversation, but the truth was I had no clue what to say.

What was I going to say to Forrest’s mother? Tremaine’s mother too! Imagine if Monique knew I was here right now, would she still be friends with me? I don’t even know if she’ll still be friends after she finds out about Forrest and I. I don’t even know how’s she’s going to react towards the situation, I mean how the hell are we go-

“So Jessica, what do you do?” April suddenly questioned me, breaking the awkward silence and my private thoughts.

“I’m a professional model,” I replied quietly. I wasn’t sure how she would react to my career choice. Many people thought I was absolutely crazy pursuing such a hard job. But I loved being a model. It was my dream job and I found it to be a hobby for me, more than a job. I was being paid for enjoying myself in front of a camera, something that I loved to do all the time.

“A model? Wow! That sounds very interesting, and how long have you been one?”

“Ever since I was sixteen. My mother signed me up for beauty pageants, photoshoots.”

“Really? And where is your mother now?”

I kept silent.

Whenever I started to talk about her, I couldn’t help but cry. She was a very important woman in my life and losing her at the age of eighteen was heart-breaking.

I managed to hold my tears back and try to keep my composure. I didn’t want to start crying in front of Forrest’s mother. She would probably think I’m weak.

“She’s dead,” I said.

“Oh, I’m so so-”

“Don’t apologize, it’s okay,” I weakly smiled at her. “Tremaine, can I go up and use your restroom please?”

“Sure.”

If April wasn’t here, I wouldn’t have asked Trey. Lord knows I didn’t even want to speak to the boy.

I quickly got up out of my seat, avoiding Forrest’s burning gaze. I didn’t tell him about my mother because talking about her was a touchy subject.

Up Tremaine’s golden stairs I went, trying to get to the restroom as fast as I could. I just wanted to be left alone for a few minutes. Once I turned into the room, I shut the door, sat down on the closed toilet seat and buried my face in my hands.

When was the last time I even had the chance to talk about her with someone? The only person who ever gave me the strength to get through her death was Monique. Lord knows I wouldn’t have been able to cope without her. She’s been my rock. My pillar. My sister. I’ve never had anyone in my life like Monique. Only my mother.

Suddenly, a small knock came from the white restroom door.

“Jess...” It was Forrest. “Is it alright if I come in, baby?”

I said nothing. I just sighed deeply and kept my face buried in my hands.

He came in anyway. Once in, he shut the door behind him, and walked towards me. “Jess...” He crouched down in front of me, gently removing my hands from my face.

I didn’t want to cry, so I didn’t. I think that everyone has the option to choose which emotions they want people to see.

“I’m okay, Forrest.”

“No you’re not.” He was right, but I didn’t want him to start worrying about me.

“I’ll be okay.”

“I need you to be okay. I don’t want you upset, Jess.” He grabbed hold of my hands and held them in his. “Why didn’t you tell me about your mom?”

“I was going to tell you, but I just couldn’t find the right time.”

“I’m sorry, my mom as-”

“Don’t be Forrest. She didn’t know, and you didn’t know.”

“I’m still sorry.”

“It’s okay baby.”

“Do you want to talk about it?”

I didn’t mind talking to Forrest about my mother, but I knew that I would just start crying again.

“I don’t mind baby... But I’m just gonna start crying.”

“It’s okay, Jess. I’m here to wipe every single tear, baby.”

~ Forrest ~

“You okay now, Jess?” Tremaine questioned Jess, watching her as she sat back down on her seat.

She nodded, then smiled at me.

It made me happy to know that she was feeling better. I knew that talking to her about her mother had let her release some of the sadness that was building up inside her.

I had managed to find out more about her past and comforted her about her mother’s death.

It was a shock to hear that her mother had died, but I was glad that she had finally trusted me enough to confide in me.

I was also glad that Jess and Mama were getting along. They seemed to be enjoying talking to one another and even prepared lunch together.

Everything was going great, until the very devil herself decided to walk inside the room.

“Trey... Baby, I need some money to go get some things.”

As soon as she spoke, Jessica rolled her eyes. Tremaine’s facial expression had gone from happy to pissed off. As for Mama, she just looked calm.

“Tiffany, I gave you money yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that.” Tremaine told her, clearly annoyed that she was here.

“Fine,” Tiffany snapped at him. “I’ll just have to go without what I need for YOUR baby!”

“Shut up, Tiffany. I’ll look after my baby if it ever comes out your stomach,” he said back to her.

“Tiffany, can’t you see that Trey has his brother and his girlfriend over?” Mama asked Tiffany.

“And so?”

“Tiffany!” April shouted at her. “Don’t be rude, girl. Just because you’re pregnant from my son doesn’t mean you have the right to be so disrespectful.”

“I’m sorry. Hi Forrest and hi,” she began to stare at Jess, her eyes examining her up and down, “his girlfriend,” she said in a displeased tone.

Jessica had told me about the time she whooped Tiffany’s ass, the day Monique caught them cheating. Ever since then, Tiffany’s been scared of my woman. I couldn’t help but laugh when she told me that story.

All I know is, no one better mess with my woman or else it won’t just be Jess whooping their ass.

~ Jessica ~

This bitch.

She’s lucky that April is here right now or else I would have had to give her another beating.

Tremaine reluctantly gave Tiffany some more money to get her to leave us alone.

I really wish that sometimes that Forrest wasn’t Trey’s brother, because that means I have to constantly be involved in his family, meaning I have to constantly be involved with Tremaine Neverson.

I don’t know how I’m supposed to pretend to like this guy. I don’t know what it’s going to take for me to be okay with this guy again.

Maybe if Monique comes back from New York and they somehow work this shit out?

Nope. I doubt she’ll want anything to do with him, especially once Tiffany has his baby.

Five hours later, it was time for us to leave. I hugged and kissed Mama Forrest goodbye and even promised to come and see her next week.

I liked her a lot and she seemed to like me too, so everything was going good. I was actually happy that Forrest wanted me to meet her.

She’s funny, has a great personality and is a great cook! She said that she’s going to teach me how to make Forrest’s favorite dish next time I come over.

As for Tremaine? The silly boy thinks that I’m going to help him get back Monique.

“Look, Jess, I need your help! Please...”

“With?”

“Monique. I need her back. I can’t live without her, Jess.”

“You’re breathing right now, aren’t you?”

“Yeah bu-”

“Then you can live without her.”

“Jess, please. I need her. I just need her back here. So I can just talk to her. You’re the only person in contact with her. Please Jess.”

I didn’t promise him anything because it wasn’t like I wanted them back together. Sure, they were good together, but Tremaine was a fool. I wasn’t about to let him think that I was his Cupid angel, who was going to automatically help him get Monique back.

He needed to think about the consequences of his actions slightly longer.

He needed to understand that he fucked up. He fucked up all by himself, and if he really wanted her back, he’d fix things all by himself.

I had only realized that when we got back to my apartment, Forrest had brought some of his stuff over in his Nike gym bag.

I laid on my double king sized bed, wearing nothing but my black lace bra and black thong, watching my sexy man unpack his things and place them in my empty drawers.

“Forrest...”

“Yes, baby?” He had his muscular back facing me and continued to place his things away.

All I wanted was for him to remove those shorts of his and have his way with me.

“Why don’t you come into bed with me?” I questioned him seductively.

“Not now babe, after I’m done unpacking I’ve got to go book a few trainer sessions.”

Forrest being a personal trainer was nice and all, but all I wanted was my man to give me some special attention.

“Hmm... I see. But can’t you do that later? It’s late baby... Just come into bed with me.”

“I’d rather do it now. I’ve got a lot of sessions coming up this week,” he said, still concentrating on his task.

“But Forrest... Are you sure you don’t want to come into bed right now with me?”

I watched as he turned around, and his eyes instantly widened with lust.

“Ooooooo...” He began to bit his juicy lips. “I hate to turn you down baby...” I stretched out my legs, allowing him to get a clearer look at my sexy black lingerie. “I really hate to turn you down baby but...”

“Forrest, you don’t need to turn me down, just get in bed,” I winked at him sexily.

Forrest shook his head at me reluctantly before closing the drawer and placing his Nike gym bag on the floor. “I can’t, baby.”

He quickly ran out of the bedroom, shutting the door behind him. “Forrest!”

Just fucking great. He’s got me all heated and shit for him. I’m horny and Forrest is not giving me his dick. There’s only one solution to this.

“Where are you Mr. Fun?” I said joyfully, before getting out of my double bed to go look for my toy.
