MC: Pres: Book Four (9 page)

Danny

I get up and check on Devan; he's still asleep.  I take the monitor out of the charger and set it on the table while I make coffee.  I unlock the front door, change into shorts and pull on my running shoes.  I walk out the patio door and stretch.  Tiny comes to the door and knocks on the glass so I know he's here.  I throw him chin and jog to the beach.  I run to the bluffs turn around, sprint to the boat dock then slow down to double time it back to the house.  I shower outside and switch back into my bed pants.  I'm cooled down by the time I walk back in.  I grab some water then a cup of coffee. 

Tiny asks about Laconia.  He tells me about Tess taking care of the kids and how Ally and Jessie seem to be her guides.  Darren and Little Ben have been teaching her about the Brothers taken care of the little guys and their women.  He loves her already.  She shocks the hell out of me knocking on the door.  I pour her a cup of coffee but she leaves when she realizes no one is up.  She was so excited to walk over on her own she didn't notice the time.  Me and Tiny sit at the table laughing.  She's cute. 

Ben comes down in his bed pants.  I watch Tiny.  He lifts an eyebrow but doesn't say a word.  I smile, Ben usually comes down dressed.  This is a statement.  He watches Ben make eggs for Aaron and Alex.  The others want to wait for Patches.  Ben tells about the computer issues Security has been having and to keep an eye out for anything unusual.  Tiny leaves to tell the Prospects then Patches and Tess come in.  Patches is upset.  We get the kids settled and go into the living room.  Tess is up with Ally getting Devan changed.  Tess isn't having dreams but visions.  I'm a little nervous about the vision she's had twice now.  My boys are going to get hurt by my family being hurt. 

Once the kids are gone I bring up the tools to finish Jessie's bed.  Patches had it finished as much as he could while we were gone.  I smile thinking it’s his way of showing support.  Ben finds me and helps sand and paint.  I don't know what pictures I should put up for him.  I make a note to ask him later. 

Kate comes in crying.  She's completely lost it, I carry her to the bedroom and sit on the chair with her until she calms.  Ben has water and tissues for her.  When she calms down he brings her a wet cloth to wash her face.  Fuck he's good at this; I would have given her my shirt.  When I ask what happened she has tears rolling down her face and pulls her phone out.  Tess' back is a mess of whip scars.  It looks like those pictures you see of slaves that were beaten.  Fuck Patches is going to lose it when he sees this.  Rich's reaction will be violent.  Neither leaves a good feeling. 

"How do I tell them so it's not a shock?  Who the fuck beats such a small woman like that?  This is going to kill them.  I had to keep pushing it away until I was safe to deal with it."  She cries again.  I look at Ben, he sits rubbing her back. 

"Baby, they haven't seen it yet.  Let's let it happen however that happens.  When they ask for help we'll be here.  They're adults now, our job isn't to make these decisions but help when they ask.  It will hurt them both deeply in entirely different ways but this is theirs to deal with.  All we can do is watch and wait for when they need us."  I really don't know what else to do here.  She nods and lays her head on my chest. 

"She was a slave.  She's so sweet and so innocent in every way but sexually.  She didn't know what anus or anal was.  She only knows crude or slang words.  Only the words the bikers used.  She was homeschooled by her mother, the pastor’s wife.  She went from one prison to another."  She starts crying again.  Ben gives me a look and I gladly put her in his lap. 

I pace the room thinking.  She went from one extreme to the other.  She has no idea of anything in between.  I look at Ben.  "She's going to need to be protected Ben.  She's not like the other women; she'll need more from us.  Her visions and innocence puts her at a level of vulnerability that we haven't experienced before.  I'm throwing her my protection; I'll let it be known at church." 

He looks surprised but nods.  "I'll make sure I bring it up.  She'll have mine and all the Officer’s protection then we'll let the Brothers know."

I squat in front of them.  "Baby we'll do everything we can to protect her.  It will take all of us but we'll do everything we can to help her." 

She stopped crying; now she's hiccupping but there are no tears.  She sits up and hugs me.  "I have a feeling this isn't the last of my tears for Tess.  Thank you for covering her.  I'll do what I can to help from the Center.  She's a beautiful girl inside and out.  I don't know how she didn't let what happened to her taint her."

"She didn't interact with anyone and probably wasn't allowed to talk when she was brought out."  Ben tells her gently.  Tears fall down her cheeks. 

I don't want him clueing her into what a slave goes through.  Her imagination won't ever hit those horrors on its own.  "She's safe now baby.  You don't need to know her past.  Let's keep looking forward and do what we can to make her future good."  I wipe her tears.  She lays her head back on his chest.  I smile at the picture they make; my Beautiful K is wrapped in our love.  I stand and pace.  Rich and Patches will cover Tess like this.  I know my boys will cover her. 

I hear the kids downstairs.  I look at them then walk over to kiss her head, her eyes are closed.  "I got the kids."  I tell Ben.  

Three days

Danny

I'm at the Donut Shop waiting for the inspector when my phone rings.  "Yeah Patches."  Fuck he saw the scars, he's afraid of Rich's reaction.  I tell him we'll help and call Kate.

"Baby Patches saw the scars.  He called for help telling Rich.  We'll do that tonight.  He's hurting Kate.  I'm waiting for an inspector; I can't leave until he gets here."

"I got him; I'll call Ben and let you know when I leave him." 

"Thank you baby."

Fuck!  Patches is sensitive and so fuckin smart.  He reminds me of Ben.  He did good calling for help with this.  I call Tiny and Steve asking them to dinner and giving a heads up for telling Rich.  They both agree. 

Ben

I got two Prospects walking Tess and the kids down to the cone so Kate can tell the women what's happening.  I'm the last one at my house.  Patches already showed him the pictures.  Rich is yelling at Steve.  Fuck he's pissed.  I don't think I've ever seen anyone yell at Steve before.  We hear the shots.  My phone rings as the last shot sounds.  I get Patches moving and let the Brothers know what's happening.  Steve starts barking orders as they're running for the door.  Tiny gets the women up to the Club.  I call Geek and Casper to Security. 

Three fuckin hour and we're just getting the computers back.  Tracking is back online.  Casper barks orders at Digs.  "Get Doc up there."  I tell him as I'm running out the door.  I jump in Tiny's truck and get up to the house tracking is leading us to.  Falling in behind HS we follow them in.  Tess is hanging from the ceiling she's got a pool of blood under her and she's not moving.  I hold her up and yell for someone to call Doc in.  HS is beating the fuck out of the Outlaws.  Steve tells them to get the house cleared so they drag them out the back.  Tiny brings me a sheet and we wrap her looking around for somewhere to put her down, Doc points to a room at the hall.  I bring her in and lay her on the bed.  "She hasn't made a sound Doc."  I'm really asking if she's alive. 

He's checking her pulse.  "She's alive."  

"Thank Fuck!"  Tiny says low.

"I need a minute.  Keep Rich out so I can get that.  Yeah?"  I nod and follow Tiny out. 

Danny and Steve are waiting; I let them know she's alive as Rich opens the cellar door.  Danny takes Ally giving her a hug and kiss.  His shoulders relax.  He gives her to Tiny and tells him to call Kate and Mary.  Thank fuck she hasn't been touched.  Bob tries to hold Rich back; it takes Danny to calm him down.  Brenda comes up, she's lost it.  I hug her and let Chet carry her out.  Doc comes out for Rich.  He tries to prepare him.  Rich goes in to see her and we wait.  We all saw her hanging.  Thank fuck he was downstairs.  Doc goes back in with another bag.  I wash my arms and hands up at the kitchen sink.  Fuckin Rich doesn’t need to see all the fuckin blood all over me, thank fuck my shirt is black.  HS Team Two deals with the Outlaws until Security can pick them up.  Doc gets Tess cleared so we can move her to the Club.  Rich carries her out in the bloody sheet.  Fuck, I wish there was something else to wrap her in.

At the Club Security is planning in the meeting room.  I watch Rich and Patches until Doc clears the room.  Making sure Ally and Kate are ok I go back to the meeting room.  Everyone's ready but they're giving Rich time.  He comes in telling us Tess knew what would happen and gave a message to Darren if Ally got away safe.  She changed it and Rich has to be careful of Jonesy shooting him at the Outlaw club.  No one moves.  She fuckin knew what was going to happen.  My fuckin eyes are burning.  She kept Ally safe.  I walk out with HS and get a ride back to Security.  She fuckin knew.  I can't get my head around that.  I put it aside to deal with the Outlaws.  Casper is waiting.  He's calmer than when I left.  Brenda is with Mary, he's getting her a transport up to the Club.  I call Connecticut for help cleaning up and wait.

HS clears the Outlaws from their club, our Brothers from Connecticut clean up and we ride back to the Club to wait for the Team.  Patches asked for Officers in the room with him and Rich.  Listening to Doc, everyone puts their heads down.  Steve and Rich are bent over hands on their knees.  No one says a fuckin word.  She fuckin knew and took being gang raped and beaten to keep the girls safe.  Once Doc is done the Officers leave.  Jess and Kate come in and go right to the boys.  Danny gets them a drink.  I get Prospects cleaning an Officer room upstairs and move some chairs in to sit with the boys and Tess. 

When the room is ready I go to the common room and tell the Brothers and their families we need to move Tess through the room.  I give them what Doc told us finishing just as Rich and Patches wheel the stretcher through.  The women are crying the men lower their eyes.  No one says a word.   

Danny

Ben has us in his room.  It's a whole fuckin suite; he had Prospects move our things into it while we were downstairs.  We get the kids settled and finally asleep.  Without the kids to give her attention to Kate breaks down.  I don't know how the fuck Rich was able to handle it but tears are running from my eye as I hold her.  Ben comes in and holds both of us.  What a fuckin day to become closer and be claimed by him.  Kate is a fuckin mess.  I call Doc for something to help her sleep.  I sit up for fuckin ever trying to clear my head.  Ben gets calls all through the night.  He gives up on sleeping and goes downstairs.  I hold onto Kate and finally fall asleep. 

Three Days

Ben

Steve calls me into Security.  Fuckin surviving Outlaws call in for a meet.  "Stay the fuck out of my yard."  The stupid bastard tells me he'll take his chances.  Digs isn't seeing them on our feeds yet.  I call Geek in to make sure we're still fuckin working.  I have Steve call Rich in.  Geek told me Tracy's last call was from their club so I'm a little more than interested with what they have to say but I don't need any more fuckin drama in our yard.  The Brothers are ready for a fuckin fight after what happened to Tess. 

Rich comes in and Steve gives him the respect to make the call.  Fuck!  I have to tell him about Tracy.  He's fuckin pissed at me but she's still Jessie's fuckin mother.  Digs calls us over and we watch the fuckin Brothers and Casper make the decision for us.  What the fuck?  I look at Steve.  He's fuckin laughing.  "Who the fuck told them?"  Bob and Rich are watching from the boards laughing.

Steve looks at me, "don't fuckin care.  It's done." 

Rich laughs.  "Fuckin old school badass motherfuckers."  He talks to Digs then throws chin to me and Steve.  "I'm out."  He walks out the door.

"Get cleanup on ops and clear the road."  Steve tells Digs and goes back to watching his boards.  Fuck, I got absolutely nothing to say.  Fuckin Brothers. 

Kate

Ally is with the therapist.  I'm sitting outside the office wondering if hearing what happened to Tess is what's causing her to be so withdrawn.  She's like a shell of the sweet lovable girl she was before the Outlaws took her.  Danny and Ben think she just needs some time but I think it's more than that.  I can't even imagine what she heard.  She won't talk about it at all.  Hopefully the therapist can get through.  The door opens and I stand.  Looking at the therapist I see she didn't get anything.  She shakes her head with a sad smile.  "Two days."  She says I nod and make the appointment.  Freakin Outlaws!

Nine Days

Kate

Danny wakes us.  "The boys and Tess are coming over.  Tess had a vision.  She knows what's up with Ally."  Fuck! 

I jump out of bed and wash my face.  As soon as I sit down they come in.  Tess is a wreck.  She tells us about Ally's heart breaking because the Outlaws told her she was a worthless retard.  Fuckin Outlaws.  She's crying again and my heart breaks for her.  She sees and relives this shit every freakin day.  How the hell is she going to move forward like this?  We decide what to do and notice Rich is gone.  We find him in Ally's room.  Freakin Rich.  He fixed it.  Ally's light is switched back on and we all go for breakfast as one family.  Fuckin kids.

Danny

Ben's holding something.  He's been in his head for a couple of days.  I thought it was concern for Ally and Tess but he's just going through the motions while we finish the dinner cleaning.  I grab a couple of beers and kiss Kate.  "We'll be in the patio."  She looks at Ben and nods.  "Let's go Brother."  I put my hand on his shoulder.  He looks at me and nods. 

Looking at the water I wait to see if he's going to say anything.  It doesn't take long.  "I have to go to Michigan.  I'm trying to figure out who the fuck to take.  Steve has to stay if I'm out.  He hates going out training other clubs.  Rich can't leave Tess right now.  I need more Officers but I need them to be ready.  My fuckin head is spinning with all this shit.  Steve's so fuckin deep in finding out about fuckin pictures he's always distracted." 

"Thank fuck.  I thought you were having second thoughts."  I say with a smile. 

His head snaps back.  "Fuck no Brother.  Even with all the fuckin drama I haven't been happier.  I put you in my rooms at the Club and told the Brothers we're together and the family has my protection.  I'm not hesitating on this.  I have to follow our bible for some shit but I've done everything short of handing Kate my cut.  I haven't done it out of respect for you Brother.  I'll get it worked out so it’s right.  I just need some time.  We're going to have to make amendments to the bible and have a vote before I can do more.  I can explain it to Kate.  I don't want you or her to think I'm not all in." 

"Thanks for the respect.  We haven't had much time to talk but it felt good being in your rooms and the Brothers knowing means something to both of us.  It hasn't gone unnoticed by either of us.  Kate announced it at the Center to stop the gossip from hurting her credibility.  We're both happy as fuck you’re all in Ben.  You've been in your head for a few days.  I was concerned."

He smiles.  "Not to sound like a pussy but I like knowing you notice shit like that.  I have to figure out how to train a fuckin Club without the two men that train.  The Club is running record membership numbers I need four more fuckin Officers within a year, then four right after.  With all the shit happening I don't have the fuckin time to look at who the fuck is qualified aside from Rich.  I need him to replace Casper at number two in security but short of kicking Casper to the curb my hands are tied right now and I need him working fuckin yesterday."

"I'm cleared to help you think this through; maybe two heads are better than one for this too."  I say making him laugh. 

"Alright Brother.  First I need to add Officers based on membership.  The Associates are throwing our numbers through the fuckin roof.  I need someone organized and good with people.  It has to be someone trusted, has proven loyalty to the Brotherhood and is respected by a majority."

"Patches.  You just described him."  I smile.  This is pretty easy so far.

"He's young Brother."

"Who else do you have that has the respect of the whole fuckin Brotherhood?"  I ask still smiling.  "He's older than Rich."

"Fuck I'm getting fuckin old.  Ok that's one.  I need two more not assigned and one for a new assignment with Geek heading it for all the new technology.  He's writing up the wording for a vote.  He wants the vote for the start of the new year when the other changes take effect."

I think for a minute.  "Bob, Driscoll and Digs.  All respected and fuckin good at their jobs.  When you look again you may want to pick up Sam and Bull or Chet.  They all have the Officer qualities.  They're loyal and dedicated." 

"How the fuck do you know the Brothers so well?"  He's shocked making me laugh. 

Fuck my face still hurts.  Holding it I smile.  "Me and Tiny still do the recognition program.  You should be getting the flyers every month and Kelly puts them on the website.  If you're writing amendments you may want a second Officer tier for the Associates and whoever else needs help.  It will give the help without drawing so much cash from payroll.  You could pull Allan, Sam, Bull and Chet for that tier then move them up as needed." 

"Fuck Brother.  That would solve all that shit.  I should have thought of that my fuckin self."  His hands run through his hair.

"You've been a little busy and Steve's not open to be your sounding board at the moment.  You would have gotten there."

He smiles.  "This is going to be so fuckin good.  I would have gotten there but you're fuckin six paces ahead of me."  He laughs.  "Let's get this other shit moved so I can fuckin sleep tonight."

We spend another hour and a half hashing out all the fuckin shit he has to deal with and I'm fuckin exhausted by the time we meet up with Kate.  I don't know how he fuckin functions all day long with this shit on his mind.  I spent two hours with only a portion of it.  He's always had my respect, but fuck I want to tell him, without sounding like a pussy, how much I admire all the fuckin shit he does to keep the Brotherhood good.  Kate pulls me out of my head, thank fuck she fell asleep in the office.  He carries her to bed and changes her.  I wash her face with a cloth and kiss her goodnight.
