I looked through the peephole and saw two men standing side by side. They looked clean cut and official, in dark pants with crisp white shirts and ties.

Slowly, I opened the door. “Can I help you?” I asked.

“Are you Justin Brown?” one of the two men asked.

“Yeah. And who are you?”

The first man pulled a wallet out and flipped it open. On the inside was a picture ID that identified him as being with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“I’m Agent Stubbs and this is Agent Frantz. We’re with the FBI. We’d like to have a word with you.”

“What’s this about?”

“It’s about The Slaughterhouse Gym,” Stubbs said. “And I think you’re going to want to sit down.”
