Suzie Smith, you literally saved the day. I cannot scream loud enough how very appreciative I am. I can tell you that I would have definitely not looked as good as you did after working a twenty-four hour shift and having to rush out to the beach at sunrise to pose for a last minute photo shoot. You are amazing.
Kristina Maor, of Kristina Maor Photography, you are on another level. The amount of talent that you possess is awe inspiring and I can’t imagine not having had you on board. Your photographs are extraordinary but your friendship is even more impressive. Thank you for your time, your creative eye, your magical photo editing, talking me off the ledge when things didn’t go as planned, your laughter, your support and excitement—for it all. I owe you so much and will take you for Barbara Jeans’ pumpkin bread and crab cakes however many years it takes to repay you.
A special mention needs to happen for a few particular people and groups for keeping me sane, entertained, and doling out the perfect advice needed as I meander through this crazy world. The outstanding friendships that have been formed through the love of books in this indie community cannot be matched. You are my people and you get me. Vilma Gonzalez, you are an unbelievable friend and I’m honored to be a Vixen. Colleen Hoover, you are the most hilarious and brilliant person and I will be a die-hard WeBLiCH and CoHort until the day I die. Your kind words of encouragement and advice will never be forgotten or taken for granted. Jasinda Wilder for allowing me to join you and so many talented others in Club Indie. I have learned a ton and appreciate every word posted. Therapy Support Group, I’m honored to be a Kathryn Perez lover and snowflake and admire each and every one of you. Tarryn Fisher’s Passionate Little Nutcases, you ladies crack me up and I rely on daily interaction with you all for stability. Amy Harmon, you have shown me such kindness. You already know I’m a huge fan and I’m proud to call you a friend. Randall’s Readers, and House of Pace, you peeps keep me laughing and learning. Love every interaction!
For all of the incredibly gifted authors that allowed me to beta read for them, Charles Sheehan-Miles, Andrea Randall, Karina Sharp, Allison East, Melissa Brown, Michelle Pace, L.G. Pace, III, M.E. Carter, and Gina Sheldon, I congratulate each and every one of you for your talents. I have grown as an author and a person through learning from you all. The amount of respect I have for everyone in this grouping is through the roof and I bow in appreciation.
And a final thank you to the readers and bloggers that took a chance on this series… If you enjoyed it, please take time to leave a spoiler-free review on the site where you purchased your book. Even if it is only a few sentences, each review makes such a difference for an indie author like me.
About the author
Stacey lives in Jacksonville, Florida with her family, where she works full time as a labor and delivery nurse. Her life is constantly moving and shaking with a six-year-old daughter and busy schedule but in the few and far between lulls and pauses, she finds time to write.
She likes going to the beach; attending and/or hosting ANY kind of party; dancing (not very well but like no one is watching); jamming out to any and all music that is not in the country genre (especially 80’s); girls’ nights out (preferably with wine); painting (also not very well); getting pedicures; comedy movies, shows, and books; a wicked sense of humor; brutal honesty but not cruelty; taking impromptu nature walks with her daughter and husband; people watching (for research purposes, of course); eating good food (especially cheese, bacon, chocolate, and anything with any of those three items in, on top of, or around it); wasting obnoxious amounts of time on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Goodreads; and of course she luuuurrrrvvvveeees to read!
She dislikes people who are closed-minded; hotdogs, peaches, and cantaloupe; doing the dishes; cleaning the litter box; the smell of fresh cut grass and anything to do with yard work; wearing a bra and/or spanx (especially the combination of wearing them both at the same time); slow internet speed; slow drivers; slow people; slow anything; not being in control; the smell of cigarette smoke; when people spoil books in their reviews; not having lip gloss on at all times; when the toilet paper is not put onto the holder correctly (with the roll coming over the top); and of course that there aren’t more hours in the day to write.
