Salvador gently removed himself from Katherine’s sleep induced embrace to wet a wash cloth. When he returned to the bed to clean between her thighs, he noted the small amount of blood that was mixed in with his seed on the sheets and felt a males triumph. He was the first to touch her and would be the only man to ever do so. She belonged to him and he felt a fierce pride, as well as an over whelming possessiveness that threatened his very control. He was already feared by most who knew him because of his explosive temper and deadly manner of exposing those who threaten him, now he had one more reason to learn how to curb that temper.
After rinsing out the wash cloth, Salvador climbed back into bed and pulled Katherine back into his arms. She was so exhausted that she didn’t even stir or break her breathing. He however was fully stirred and spent a good while fighting back his lust before falling into his own slumber.
Katherine woke to the sound of a closing door. She stirred in bed and flinched as new pains made themselves aware across her body. She felt a soreness that she quickly identified and prayed her walking would not be affected by it.
When she peered behind her shoulder, she saw Salvador placing a tray of food on the table. She immediately blushed as visions of the night before flooded her memory. She had acted like a simple minded wanton and was embarrassed to the fact that he could so easily bend her to his will. She also had to be truthful to herself and acknowledge that if he wanted to, he could easily bring her to such a wanton state without putting much effort into it.
She decided to proceed with him as usual and not bring up any subjects that would open up discussion to the previous night. Since it was not appropriate to discuss such acts, she considered herself safe for the time being.
He had said nothing to her so far as he settled himself into the sitting area to eat. She thought that she should be offended that he didn’t at least say good morning or wait for her before starting in on his meal, but truthfully she appreciated the silence and could not complain. She carefully covered her self up with the sheet and peered around the bed to see if there was a robe or a night garment for her to put on, there wasn’t. Keeping the sheet wrapped firmly around herself, she stood from the bed looking the part of a toga goddess and ventured over to her clothes. Remembering that he had not included night clothes for her to wear in her new wardrobe, she silently cursed him for it. Deciding not to let that disturb her too much, she threw modesty out the window, gracefully strode over to the sitting area – toga and all – and gently seated herself in a chair close to the food tray.
“
Would you like some coffee?” He asked casually as though seeing her in nothing but a sheet was an everyday occurrence.
“
Please” She replied just as casually, determined to show him that he was not going to unsettle her.
As he poured her a coffee, she loaded various breakfast pastries onto a small plate and then sat back to eat.
“
Thank you” she said politely as he placed her coffee on the side table beside her chair.
He smiled politely in response and then settled himself back in to finish his own breakfast.
“
Once you are finished eating, I’ll order up a bath and then we’ll need to get moving. While they are filling the tub, I need you to take out only what you are going to wear so that Henry can bring everything else to the carriage.”
She nodded to him as she took a sip of her coffee.
“
Why did you not tell me earlier that you had planned to wed me last night?” She asked with mild accusation in her tone.
He grinned wickedly at her and then took a sip of his own coffee before answering.
Inside, her blood started to boil at his audacity. She found herself strongly disliking that grin at the very moment, even though it also made her heart sputter for different reasons.
“
In all honesty, I had planned to wait until you were settled into our home; however your speeches inspired me to hurry up the process.” He responded with a hint of humour in his tone - humour at her expense no doubt.
She opened her mouth to curse him and then firmly shut it again. Never once while trying to talk him out of marriage did she think it would have the opposite effect. Here she thought she was presenting him with doubt when in all reality, she had only prompted him to move quicker.
“
And what was it that I said in particular that inspired you to run and fetch a priest? Was it the mention of Mistresses; loss of your bachelorhood; my rejection to being wed to you? Pray tell, Lord Salvador, which endearing words of mine would have inspired you so?”
He didn’t even flinch nor did his grin falter. She wanted to throw her pastry at him and stomp away. Judging by the increase of his grin, he probably read that on her face.
“
I believe it was all of the above. Only I saw your meaning for something else.” He replied casually and then took another sip of his coffee.
“
By all means Sir, do tell…” She drawled out sarcastically and rolled her eyes.
“
If I must. By marrying you and losing my claim to bachelorhood, it ensures me that I no longer have to leave the comfort of my home to find a willing wench to warm my bed. The fact that you were so eager to reject our marriage convinced me to stop putting off the inevitable and dragging it out for you. No use in allowing you to stress yourself day in and day out on ways you could get out of the contract when really, the end result would have landed my ring on your finger either way. You were right Katherine, that talk did help me come to my senses.”
He still held that wicked grin and she had to grip on to the arm of her chair to keep from flying across the short distance to slap it off his face.
“
I see” she managed to grit out between clenched teeth as she fought to control her anger.
“
You must admit my Love, now that the wedding is over and done with, we can move on with our lives. Not to mention it made for a pleasant night…wouldn’t you say?”
Katherine gasped and this time she did hurl her food at him, standing up to find something else within reach to follow her plate of food.
Salvador was quick to his feet and yanked her against him while chuckling at her outburst.
“
Let me go you Heathen!” She cried out as she squirmed to get free.
“
Now now, Kat, there’s no need for name calling” he continued to tease her.
Her anger turned into embarrassment then back to anger.
“
Let go of me!” She cried out again as she struggled in his hold.
When she felt his arms loosen around her, she flung herself away and fought to put distance between them. No more than two steps later, she felt a sharp flick to her toga and to her horror, watched it fall to the floor.
What she had not noticed was that when he had detained her, part of his foot was standing on her sheet. She felt her face set a flame as she bent down to try and tug the sheet from under his foot and cursed when she heard his laughter.
“
Move your foot you heartless Rake!” She cursed him as he continued to laugh.
He did move his foot, but only to step more firmly onto the sheet, stepping forward and lifting her to him by her upper arms.
She shrieked when he pressed her to him and then cried out his name in shock as he scooped her up in his arms and strode towards the bed.
“
Put me down!” she shrieked out while kicking and flailing her arms.
He tossed her onto the bed and quickly pounced on her before she could recover.
Katherine glared up at him and directed all of her fury at him, wishing he would simply disappear.
“
Come now Katherine, we both know that behind all that modesty you are aching for me, almost as much as I am aching for you.” He purred out to her as he cupped her breast into his hand and ran his thumb back and forth across her nipple.
“
No!” She gasped out as her treacherous nipple responded to his touch. “Don’t even think about it!” She raged out as his breathing started to speed up.
When he focused his attention on her breasts, she managed to take him by surprise and slapped him square across the cheek. When he looked at her stunned by her action, she felt fear for the first time but refused to let it back her down from this fight.
“
I am not a whore who is readily at your disposal. Now get off of me!” She scolded him as she tried to squirm her way out from beneath him.
He cocked an eyebrow at her and then fixed himself with a look of determination. Quickly untying his cravat, he settled his weight more firmly onto her to cease her from moving beneath him and then grasped her wrists and pulled them over her head.
“
No!” She cried out to him as she tried to free her arms, but he was stronger and easily bound her wrists to the headboard using his cravat as a tie.
“
Untie me Salvador, this isn’t funny!” She called out to him as he lifted his weight from her and stood beside the bed.
She tried to break the hold on her wrists but he had tied it in such a way that left no room for slack.
Without a word or a glance at her, he ignored her pleas to be set free and calmly walked towards her bag to retrieve a scarf. Katherine gasped as he turned towards her with a wicked glint in his eyes and made his way back to the bed.
She couldn’t image what he was up to but knew she wanted no part in it.
“
Are you doing this because I struck you?” She shrieked. “You provoked it Salvador! Please untie me and we can discuss this in a proper manner!”
He simply ignored her pleas and sat on the bed next to her. Lifting her thrashing head, he proceeded to wrap the scarf around her eyes until all she could see was blackness.
Suddenly she felt more exposed than she was before and more self conscience for it. All her anger ebbed being replaced with fear and embarrassment. She felt his weight lift from the bed but couldn’t hear anything beyond that. What was he doing? Was he standing there looking at her? She shifted her tightly clamped thighs to the side to try and hide herself, frowning when she realized it would do no good. Why wasn’t he moving or saying anything and why did she find that she couldn’t for the life of her say anything to him? She was completely at his mercy and knew that no matter how much pleading she did, he would not relent on whatever it was that he was planning on doing.
~
Salvador stood beside the bed for a long while, drinking in the sight of his wife’s bound body, feeling a stirring even more intense than he had the night before.
He couldn’t believe that she had struck him and rather than striking her back in like, he decided that she needed to learn a little bit of humility and trust.
He had run across a whore about a year prior that confessed some of her naughty fantasies to him, in order to entice him to spend his coin on her. It had worked. She had confessed to him that she had always wanted to know what it would feel like to be tied up and feel helpless to a man’s raging desires. When he had tied her up, he felt a sense of power that fed into his lust. When he had added the blind fold, it had not only fed into that power but gave him the freedom to do whatever he wanted to her - without having her eyes set upon him to judge. It was an incredible experience. She had confessed afterwards that being bound made her realize that there was absolutely nothing she could do. It gave her the freedom to just sit back and enjoy whatever he had to offer and also confessed that the anticipation of where he would touch her next or where his eyes could possibly be focusing on had increased the experience and tripled her senses. It had forced her to trust him and rely on her senses rather than her eyes. He thought that this was exactly what Katherine needed. She was shy and modest as a well-bred lady should be, but he didn’t want her being as such towards him. She needed to trust her pleasure to him in addition to shedding her modesty, feel the exotic rush of his eyes upon her naked person, rather than embarrassment. Today he would start that lesson.
He moved to take off his clothes, causing her to flinch at the sound. When he leaned onto the bed, she flinched again and her breathing sped up. He saw her face flush as she turned it away from him. He decided he would not respond to any of her pleas nor would he say anything at all. He wanted her to only feel what he had to offer.
