This room is kind of generic looking." He (Light) then addressed Cornelius, "You know Cornelius, you used to be very fun especially with the way your places of interest were. Now, you are just a lame fella." Cornelius said, "How dare you say such a thing!"

Light replied, "I think we should just forget the comments Tom and I said, and let's have the delicious dinner you've promised us."

Cornelius replied in a sarcastic way, "Okay. I guess I'll forget about what you just said to me just now."

Chapter 7: A tour of the conference hall and the start of the poison attempt

Throughout the years, a friend could know a friend and one of the friends can act like they are your best friend. That particular friend can make his fellow comrade want to trust him and be long term friends with he or she. But when the untrue friend does not like the confidante who's with the other person, he or she will strike. And they will strike in the most unexpected way. Then they try to cover up their tracks. However, their tracks end up being discovered.

Cornelius Von Alien, Tom Jackson, and Light started to walk down the long hallway to the dining area. As the trio was walking down the Alien Estate's hallway, Tom asked, "Now, can I see what's in the other doors down the hallway?" Cornelius answered, "No." Light asked in a skeptical way, "Why?" Cornelius hesitated and answered, "How about I show you that door over here." Tom replied, "Okay."

Cornelius led the two into the conference hall. Cornelius said, "This is the conference hall of the Alien Estate. This is where we have all of our conferences, right here in this hall. In fact, some of our most major conferences are held here."

The conference hall had gray colored tables. They looked like party tables. Each table was twenty feet long, and five people were assigned to a single table. At every table, there were five seats which would seat the members of the meetings. Cornelius was perched on the headman's area during the conferences, conventions, or civic affairs. He had a polished cherry wood seat. The headman's area had the gray colored tables but painted a cherry wood color during all of the conferences. Tom asked, "What kind of meetings do you folks have?" Cornelius answered, "We have State of the City addresses, court cases, elections, and other meetings." Light asked, "Well, what are the other kinds of meetings that you have?" Cornelius said, "We also have appointing of public officials that are below my position.

We also have the Von Alien School graduation ceremony taking place here. And the civil service job promotion ceremonies take place here."

Tom asked, "Can we go down stairs and see the bottom level?"

Cornelius answered, "Sure." The trio left the balcony in the conference hall. And adjacent to the balcony door was the stairway door that led to the bottom level of the conference hall. Cornelius Von Alien started to walk down the stairs. Followed by him, Tom started to follow Cornelius down the stairs. As they were walking downstairs, Tom said, "Hey Cornelius, should I keep walking down or should I just slide down?"

Cornelius answered very sarcastically, "Oh slide down." Tom replied, "Okay." He slid down the banister. The banister was fine.

When Light grabbed onto the railing, it started to creak. Light asked, "What's going on here?" Tom answered, "I don't know." Light told Tom, "Tell Cornelius that I can't walk down." Tom told Cornelius what Light said. Cornelius said to Tom, "Well, I am not going to give the lower level tour without my friend. Tell him that he is to come down.”

Tom acted as the messenger between Light and Cornelius.

Tom gave Light the message that Cornelius had to say. From upstairs, Light yelled down to Cornelius, "I can't walk down without a railing.

Remember? Robots can't walk down stairs without railings."

Cornelius yelled, "Because I want you to come down. I guess, I will have to use a “dispense a ramp” and spend ten thousand Alien bucks."

Cornelius walked back up the stairs to his bedroom. He retrieved the money in his safe which was hidden inside his closet. The safe was disguised to look as though it was to be part of the closet wall. The closet wall was green. The safe had approximately one hundred and fifty thousand gold bars.

Cornelius retrieved one of those gold bars. He returned to the conference hall and dashed down the stairs. His running down the stairs made big a big KABOOM! Followed by that another KABOOM sounded. He was running so fast that the floor made a noise that sounded like a foghorn that could be heard from miles away. Light asked him, "What exactly are you doing and how long will it take you?" Cornelius answered, "It is a surprise as to what I'm doing because it is a piece of technology that is only found in this part of all dimensions." A “dispense a ramp” appeared. Cornelius suddenly seemed annoyed. Tom and Light started to walk down the ramp to the conference center.

Tom said, "What a nice conference center you have Cornelius." Cornelius replied in a snooty way, "Yeah, whatever. Who the hell cares about your opinion?" Light answered, "Well, guess what Cornelius. I care." Cornelius replied, "Shut up." Light then said, "Cornelius, you shut up. Who do you think you are to invite me over to your house in your presence and then you act so arrogant?"

Cornelius answered, "This is my house and it's my rules. This whole entire city is my city. So don't bother me." Tom replied, "Well, I am never coming back here ever again." Cornelius said, "Well, you are going to be staying here whether you like it or not, and you will pay for it if you try and leave!"

Tom replied, "That's a little creepy what you just'd said."

Cornelius said, "Oh, I was just kidding when I said this. You can come and go whenever you please." He also said this in a very sarcastic way. Light said, "I want to go back up." Cornelius hollered, "No!" Light told him "I am on my way up now and it will be tough luck for you." Light started walking up. As he was at the mid-point of walking up the stairs, Cornelius told Light, "Stop. I need to do something." Cornelius pressed the blue button that would retract the ramp from the stairs. Then he said to Light, "Look Down.”

He and Light witnessed the ramp retracting and the stairs coming back again. Light started to fall down the stairs and ended up in a state of unconsciousness. Tom asked Cornelius, "What's wrong with you?" He (Cornelius) answered, "Nothing, what's wrong with you?" Tom answered, "Nothing. Do you realize what you had done?"

Cornelius answered, "Yeah. What are you going to do about it?" Tom answered mockingly, "Nothing. I can't do anything about it." Tom started to walk back up the stairs. He left Light lying on the red and gold carpet in the conference hall. Then he stopped and jumped over the railing and landed on one of the conference tables.

He said to Cornelius, "This is what I can do about it!" He pushed the conference tables and they started to fall like dominoes.

Once the conference tables fell like dominoes, the conference hall looked like a mess. Cornelius's green skin pigment started turning red.

His ears started to turn even redder to the point where the ears ended up becoming inflamed. He yelled at Tom, "Are you out of your mind?!" Tom answered, "No, I am just doing what I am supposed to do. I was helping a friend." Cornelius replied, "Maybe you were helping your friend Light. However, you can't ever repay the damages that you've done here at my place.”

Tom argued the point saying "Look at the way you treated my friend! You knocked him out unconscious! Why would you do such a wicked, nasty thing?" Cornelius answered like a child, "Because I felt like it! And what are you going to about it?" Tom hesitated and didn't answer. He then threw a punch at Cornelius. Cornelius asked Tom, "What the heck are you doing?" Tom punched Cornelius in the face again hard enough that he'd lost a tooth. Tom hit him again. He threw a third punch at Cornelius. Cornelius had a shocked appearance on his face. Eventually, adrenaline started to run through Cornelius. Tom paused and asked the evil alien, "What are you going to do about me punching you like that?"

Cornelius answered "Oh nothing" but it was dripping with sarcasm that Tom didn’t notice. Tom replied, "That's right you can't do nothing because you are a lazy imbecile." With a sudden move, Cornelius Von Alien angrily kicked Tom Jackson in his right leg and he fell to the ground. Cornelius said, "Oh by the way, did you know this about me? Light will never know this in his lifetime?"

Tom asked, "And what is that?" Cornelius answered, "I am a pathological and natural born liar. And, I am proud of it." Tom looked at him like he is losing his mind and replied, "Well, what you're doing is not nice." Cornelius asked, "Is it nice when you wreck my conference hall that craftsmen meticulously worked on?" Tom answered, "The reason why I wrecked your hall was because of the fact that you hurt my friend who had physical challenges going up and down stairs." Cornelius replied, "Shut up!" Tom nicely asked, "Well, can we have a truce?”

Cornelius answered once again sarcastically "Sure." The two shook hands and Tom then asked, "What should I do with Light who'

s knocked out?" Cornelius answered, "Bring him upstairs." Tom asked, "Do you want to go ahead of me?" Cornelius answered, "No, I will go after you." Tom started to walk ahead of Cornelius and went down and picked up Light. After ten seconds of walking up the twelve stairs that were in the conference hall, he walked outside of the conference hall. About ten feet from the door of the conference hall, Light was placed on the floor. Tom returned to the conference hall.

Cornelius was at the top of the stairs.

He asked Tom, "What were you doing?" Tom answered, "I placed Light in the hallway. Why do you want to know?" Cornelius answered, "I see you returning back over here. And why should you be returning back over here?" Tom answered, "Well, maybe you should think twice about doing what you did to Light." Cornelius asked, "Why are you telling me such a thing?" Tom answered, "The reason why is because I know you're guilty as the sin that you will make it. Is he really your friend?" Cornelius answered, “Yes."

A further question left Tom's mouth to Cornelius, "If he's your friend, why would you retract the ramp on that thingamajig that you have?" Cornelius was mind boggled by that question. It had taken him a few seconds to answer the question. An angel and demon popped on his shoulder. He asked that angel, "Should I answer his question?"

The Angel's soft spoken voice answered, "Of Course, you should answer it. Tell him the whole truth and the motivation. Get the truth off of your shoulders. After all, so they say, the truth shall set you free." The demon replied, "Now, that's a fallacy what you just said."

The angel asked, "What did I say that's a farce or even a fallacy?”

The demon told his arch enemy, the angel, "You said the truth shall set you free, which is totally untrue. Lying is the ultimate key to freedom." He then told Cornelius, "You know Cornelius, Tom is very gullible. He will fall for anything. Don't listen to that angel because that angel is good at persuading hearsay towards you. Lying is the ultimate key to freedom.”

Cornelius replied, "I know that. I am a pathological liar and a proud one at that. How about you two just go now. Does that sound okay?" Both the angel and the demon left Cornelius's shoulder.

Cornelius told Tom, "It was an accident." Tom replied, "I don't believe you.” Cornelius said, "Well, you have to believe me because after all everything I say is true." Cornelius turned around. Tom pushed him (Cornelius) down the stairs in the conference hall. Cornelius said, "How dare you do that to me. I'm calling the guards up here." Tom shouted, "No, you're not.”

Cornelius replied, "Yes, I am. And there's nothing you can do about it." He started to reach the button that would call the guards in the Alien Estate. Tom slid down the bannister on the stairs. Cornelius was near the button by two inches. Tom grabbed Cornelius by his arm and pulled him. Cornelius screamed for help and Tom put his hand over Cornelius's mouth to shut him up. He bit Tom. Tom screamed.

Cornelius's bite was a mind numbing and painful bite. Cornelius kicked Tom. He laughed in elation while Tom was on the ground.

Cornelius asked him, "What are you going to do about it now you vicious belligerent beast?" Tom slyly answered, "Nothing." He brought himself back up from his fall. Cornelius kicked Tom again thinking that he was going to injure him (Tom) even more. When Cornelius kicked Tom, he was dumbstruck.

Tom twisted Cornelius's leg and threw Cornelius across the conference hall. Tom shouted to Cornelius, "Well, guess who the winner is now!” Cornelius was knocked out. Tom ran over to Cornelius who was starting to regain consciousness and screamed three words in his face, "Winner, winner, and oh yeah, winner! And to top it all off, I'll twist your arm." Tom twisted Cornelius's arm and he screamed, "No!!!!!" Tom continued yelling at Cornelius "You will pay for what you did to him!" Cornelius replied, "Do no more! Please stop, I'm begging you!." He untwisted his hand and told Tom, "Listen, I'm sorry for what I had done to you and your friend. How does dinner sound in return?" Tom answered, "It sounds good as long as you don't do anything stupid or nasty." Cornelius replied, "I won't do anything that is questionable."

Tom and Cornelius left the conference hall. As they left the door of the conference hall, a seemingly unconscious Light appeared right before both Tom's eyes and Cornelius's eyes. A scream left Tom Jackson. Cornelius pretended to frantically say, "Oh! Is he okay!?"

Tom shouted, "No!" Cornelius said, "I'll get an ice pack." He Cornelius ran over to the bedroom and retrieved the ice from his ice box. This was not your typical ice box. This ice box had a metallic door which would keep the ice cold. The ice box strictly housed ice and there were about ten thousand ice cubes. Cornelius retrieved a bag and put about seventy five ice cubes in the bag. He walked slowly to Light. He pretended to be sad about Light being unconscious. He said sarcastically with the ice bag in his hand "Oh my, is he unconscious?"

Tom answered, "Of course he is you idiot." Cornelius punched Tom. He (Tom) pretended to act as though he was also in a present state of unconsciousness. Cornelius cautiously asked Tom, "What?
