“I’m so lucky that you’re mine.”

I smiled and pulled his lips back to mine, devouring him. I yanked his shirt off him and he kicked his jeans off. He continued touching me as I ran my fingers over his muscles. When my fingers grazed his scars, I locked my eyes on his and kissed each of them. “No, I’m lucky that I have you. I love you so much,” I said after I’d kissed each of his scars. He crashed our lips back together and ran his hand down my side until his fingers rubbed over my panties, then he pushed them to the side and dipped his fingers into me, causing me to moan and buck my hips up into him.

He pulled his face away and studied my face as he explored me, watching every shudder and moan. He had never touched me this way and I loved feeling him touch me so intimately, loved that he was so focused on what felt good for me. He moved his fingers until he found the place and speed that drove me insane, he stayed there until I fell apart, then kissed me through it.

Moving to my side, he pulled me to him. He kept touching me and kissing me, and I could tell how affected he was. I wanted to touch him, especially after what he had done for me. I rolled to my side and propped up on my elbow. “Now it’s your turn.” I wrapped my hand around him and he shuddered, stopping me.

“I’m not sure about this, Ry…”

I furrowed my brows. “What’s wrong?”

“I’m just … I’m not sure if I can handle that tonight, okay?”

I narrowed my eyes, trying to figure out why he was stopping me. He had stopped me every other time I had tried to take things a little further and I thought his touching me had meant he was okay with me touching him. “I’m not sure if I understand what’s wrong.” In my mind, I couldn’t stop wondering if it were something wrong with
me
that made him want to put the brakes on every time.

He moved away a little bit and looked away from me. “The first and only time anyone has ever …
touched
me was right before my parents died. The memories are too much, especially tonight.”

I smiled softly at him and pulled him closer. “Will, I’m so sorry. I didn’t think…”

“It’s okay.” He smiled, but it was weak.

“It’s me though, Will. It’s just you and me. No one else. Nothing bad is going to happen.”

His eyes locked on mine and I could see the uncertainty in them. He slowly nodded his head, clearly unsure, but willing to try. I wanted to help him over this hurdle. I kissed him, only touching his chest, hair, and face. His body slowly relaxed and his kisses got more intense.

Slowly, I slid my hand down his chest to his abs, lightly running my fingers over them. His muscles twitched under my touch and I smiled. I liked knowing I affected him this way. When my fingers wrapped around his hardness, he tensed up again.

I brushed my lips against his cheek. “It’s me, Will. I’ll take care of you,” I whispered in his ear. He relaxed a little but stayed tense. I kissed his cheek then down his chin to his neck. He stretched his neck, giving me better access and groaned. I moved my hand faster and he stiffened again, but this time it was in pleasure. He bucked his hips into my hand and his breathing quickened.

“Ry...”

“I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.” I moved my lips back to his and he came undone. I continued to kiss him until he relaxed. “Are you okay?”

He smiled lazily at me, his eyes still clouded with desire. “I’m more than okay. Thank you.” I smiled. He reached up and brushed hair out of my face. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

He pulled his boxers up before standing up, then held his hands out to me. I grabbed them and he helped me up. We went upstairs as he held my hand. After we’d both cleaned up, we snuggled together in bed. Will slowly ran his fingers over my arm and through my hair.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” I asked, kissing his chest. I was nervous that I pushed him too far. Would that be on my mind all weekend?

“Ry,” he said, causing me to look up at him. “I’m fine. I’m glad that happened for many reasons.” He smiled at me and my heart stopped. “I feel like that helped me heal. That I can be … sexual without something happening. No one died. And I feel a whole lot better.”

I smiled and kissed him. He never stopped amazing me.

and went outside. Ry wanted to build a snowman. We made a pretty big one and then we got into a huge snowball fight. Eventually, her cheeks turned bright red and her teeth chattered, but she begged to stay outside. I laughed and threw her over my shoulder, carrying her inside and dropping her on the couch. I covered her with a pile of blankets, then built a fire before climbing under the blankets with her. We ended up a tangle of legs, hands, lips, and tongues.

We found a stash of old movies and Ry got so excited she jumped up and down and clapped, so we ended up wrapped up on the couch and watched them. It was the perfect day. I could have stayed there by the fire forever and been okay.

It was our last day in the cabin and we were still in bed. Ry was asleep, her head resting on my chest with her hand above my heart, like she needed the reassurance that I was still there. I traced my fingers up and down her back, enjoying every moment with her. She stirred and looked up at me with a breathtaking smile. I leaned down and kissed her forehead.

“Morning,” she said, then snuggled deeper into my chest.

“Morning, sweet girl.” I continued trailing my fingers over her skin and causing goose bumps to spread. She kissed my chest, her lips lingering against my skin. I closed my eyes. She continued feathering kisses across my chest and down my stomach. I grabbed her and pulled her up so she straddled my hips. “If you continue doing that, we’ll never get out of bed.”

She wiggled her hips, drawing a groan from me. “Who says I want to get out of bed at all?” She grinned mischievously and continued moving her hips against me.

“Seriously, Ry.”

She leaned down and kissed me, running her tongue around my lips and against my tongue. I groaned and held her hips still. As suddenly as she started, she climbed off and walked across the room and pulled her robe on. “Come on, let’s go get breakfast.” She smiled at me and left the room.

I dropped my head against my pillow and rubbed my palms into my eyes. She was the biggest tease ever. I couldn’t even complain because I loved every second of it. She could tease me every minute of every day as long as she was mine.

Downstairs, she was brewing coffee and making eggs and toast. I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, kissing up and down her neck.

“Now who isn’t playing fair?” she asked and giggled.

“I’m not doing anything. Your skin is addictive.”

She sighed and leaned back into me, tilting her head to give me better access. I smiled and kissed her neck, then worked my way up to her ear, nibbling on her earlobe. Her hands went to mine, holding them, but I pulled away from her.

“You might want to make sure you don’t burn the eggs.” I grabbed butter out of the fridge and a couple of plates. “I’ll take care of the toast.”

“Stop distracting me.” She smiled, then turned back to the eggs.

The weekend had started rough for me, but Ry had shown me that I could still remember my parents and miss them without completely shutting down. Anytime I felt the past creeping up on me, she seemed to know and would do something to distract me. It didn’t hurt that her way of distracting me involved her kissing me.

I had survived the weekend and I felt okay. As long as I had Ry by my side, I felt like I could tackle anything.

We ate breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen. Ry wanted to watch another movie before we had to leave, so we curled up on the couch, but not even fifteen minutes into the movie, she turned and knelt between my legs.

“What are you doing?”

She didn’t answer my question. Instead, she crashed our lips together and held onto my hair. Crawling up so she could straddle me, she never moved her lips off mine..

“I want you,” she said between kisses. Her chest heaved against mine and she kissed me frantically, like she was afraid I was going to disappear.

“I’m right here, Ry. I’m not going anywhere.”

I pulled her close, closing the space between us. Her hands moved all over my body, touching everywhere as her lips continued to devour mine. I was trying to keep control, but it was hard as she ground herself into me. Her robe fell open and her skin pressed against mine. I dropped my head back and closed my eyes, trying to compose myself. I didn’t want things to go too far.

She pressed me back onto the couch and grinned mischievously before slowly unzipped my jeans. When my pants were undone, she pulled me out of my boxers and looked up at me with hooded eyelids, then leaned down and pressed her lips to me, causing me to jump.

“Ry, what are you doing?”

“Shh, Will. Just relax.”

I watched her with wide eyes. When her lips parted and her warm mouth enveloped me, I moaned and my eyes rolled back in my head. After a few minutes of reveling in the feel of her warm mouth around me, I looked at her. Her eyes were locked on mine as she continued to stroke me with her mouth until I felt like I was going to explode.

“Ry,” I breathed.

She slowly slid me out of her mouth, then climbed up onto my lap and held my face in her hands. Her eyes were on fire and were full of desire. “I want you, Will.”

I cleared my throat a few times and tried to get words to form. “I’m right here, sweet girl. I’m not going anywhere.” I brushed the back of my fingers down her cheeks.

“No,” she said, then swallowed hard. “I want you to make love to me. I mean, if you’re ready.”

I sucked in a breath.
Was I ready?
I knew I loved her more than anything. I knew I wanted to be with her for as long as she’d have me, and I also knew I had thought about this moment almost nonstop for as long as I could remember and it seemed perfect. She was ready and I wanted her so badly I ached.

I kicked my pants off and fixed my boxers before I pulled her back to me, kissing her intensely. Standing, she wrapped her arms and legs around me and I carried her up to the loft as I continued to kiss her, taste her, feel her.

I laid her gently on the bed and gazed down at her. Her white robe was open and spread around her on the bed. Her golden hair billowed around her head and her eyes were hooded with desire. A lazy, sexy smile spread across her lips. The only clothing she had on was the robe and pink lace panties. I helped her take off the robe, then hooked my thumbs into her panties, pulling them slowly down her legs. When she was naked before me, my breath caught in my throat. She was gorgeous, the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my entire life.

And she was mine.

Gazing down, I studied her for a long time. I took in every curve and freckle and inch of her perfection. She had a small scar on her upper thigh and a birthmark on her hip. Even her supposed imperfections were perfect. Everything about her made her who she was and she was perfect, at least to me.

I pulled my boxers off and crawled up her body, kissing her again. Her legs went around my hips. “You are so beautiful, Ry,” I said between kisses. I pulled back, wanting her to see the sincerity in my eyes. “I love you so much.”

She took my face in her hands and brushed her lips over mine before pulling away. “I love you.”

I ran my hand down her stomach and slipped a finger inside of her, feeling how wet and warm she was. She arched her back and I kissed her neck. I felt her beneath me, her naked skin pressed against mine. It was too much and not enough all at the same time. I wanted to taste her, to drive her as crazy as she drove me. I slid down her body until I was between her spread legs.

She pulled on my shoulder. “Will, you don’t have to do that.” She sounded panicked.

“I want to…” I looked up at her as I slowly began to lick. She moaned loudly and I smiled, loving the way she tasted and the way she moved.

When she went limp on the bed, I sat up and looked down at her. Her face was flushed with desire and she was panting. I smiled, knowing I had done that to her, but then I suddenly felt lost. I had no idea what to do next. Did she still want to have sex? Was it over now? She must have seen the uncertainty in my eyes because she gently pushed against my shoulder until I was flat on my back. She reached over and pulled a condom out of her bag.

“I thought you weren’t expecting this?” I smirked.

“I wasn’t, but it would have been stupid not to come prepared.”

She rolled the condom on me and straddled me. My hands went to her hips, holding her there, afraid of how much this would change things. I was completely inexperienced and I knew she wasn’t. Would she change her mind after this? Would I be enough for her?

She held my eyes with her own and slowly sank down on me. I pressed my head into the bed. It was the most exquisite feeling I had ever experienced. She moved and I clung to her, completely overwhelmed with sensation. This was so much more than I thought it could be. I felt so much at that moment, not just physically, but for Ryanne. I loved watching her move and the noises she made. The look in her eyes was almost my undoing.
