“Is their house big?”

“It’s huge! It even has a swimming
pool.”

“Cool!”

Nikos was waiting in arrivals when
they walked though customs. “Hi.” He smiled
as Melissa ran into his arms. He looked sexy
in white chinos and a black tank top. He
kissed her quickly before turning to talk to the
others. Melissa turned.

“Andreus!” Melissa ran over and
hugged him.

“Hey sis’” He grinned.

Katie looked across and stared, Nikos
was extremely good looking but Andreus
looked like a Greek God. His dark thick hair
was cut very short, he was taller than Nikos
and his eyes where chocolate brown. Their
eyes met and neither of them could look
away.

“Mummy, why are you staring at that
man? Rhiannon asked.

“I wasn’t”

“Yes you were! How does Auntie Mel
know him?”

“I think he’s Nik’s brother.”

They walked out of the airport and
were led out to a waiting limousine.
“Mummy, where are our bags? You’ve
forgotten to get them.” She said a little too
loudly.

“Don’t worry.” A deep voice said from
behind them. Katie turned to see the gorgeous
Andreus smiling down at Rhiannon. He is so
tall Katie thought and as sexy as hell.
“There’s a man collecting them now.”

“But they’re ours!” Rhiannon said
innocently looking horrified that someone
was stealing their things.

“He works for my family.” He looked

into Katie’s eyes. “I’m Nik’s brother
Andreus.”

“I’m Katie, it’s nice to meet you.”

“Ah, Katie! Yes it is nice to finally
meet you, after all the times I had to shout at
Melissa for calling you during work hours.”
Andreus laughed.

“I’ve heard you made her cry.” Katie
teased.

“Not for that reason, I just shout very
loud. I think she thought I was the type of
man to raise my hand to a woman.”

“Are you?” She raised her eyebrows.

“No.” He smiled.

“That’s good to hear.”

“Mummy, I’m tired.” Rhiannon
whined.

“Ok sweetie, we’ll be leaving soon.”
They all got into the limousine, Rhiannon sat
between Katie and Andreus, almost as soon as
they started to move Rhiannon fell asleep and
her head fell onto Andreus’ arm.

“I’m sorry.” Katie moved to take the
little girl.

“It’s fine.” Andreus smiled, he lifted his
arm and put it around Rhiannon’s back so her
head was cradled on his chest.

When they arrived at the Sillas mansion
Andreus carried Rhiannon inside, Sophia and

Theo came to the entrance as they walked
inside. “Hello, welcome.” Theo smiled.

“Oh look at the little one!” Sophia
smiled, her English thickly accented. “It is
nice to meet you all, I’m sure you want to
freshen up before tea. Boys show our guests
to their rooms please.”

Andreus carried Rhiannon upstairs and
showed Katie to their suite. “This place is
huge!” Katie said in awe as he laid Rhiannon
on the double bed.

“You’re suite has a bedroom, bathroom,
lounge and a closet.” He smiled. “My suite is
next door so if you need anything just ask.”

“Do you live here?”

“No, I have an apartment twenty
minutes away but I’ll be staying here until the
day after the wedding.”

“Thank you for carrying Rhiannon
upstairs.” Katie smiled.

“No problem. Tea is in an hour on the
terrace by the pool but if Rhiannon is still
asleep come down later.”

“Thank you.” Andreus turned and left.

Nikos showed Charlie and Maureen to
their suite then took the three girls to theirs.
“Mama expects us to sleep apart until after the
wedding.” Nikos said to Melissa rolling his
eyes.

“I’m sure we’ll survive.” Melissa
laughed. “Did you see how Andreus and Kate
were together?”

“Oh my God! They couldn’t keep their
eyes off each other.” Claire laughed.

“I can’t blame her, he’s gorgeous!”
Tessa grinned.

“Andreus is too charming for his own
good.” Nikos said. “I hope she doesn’t fall for
him because she’ll get her heart broken.”

“You’re such a pessimist!” Melissa
moaned.

“Sorry I don’t understand.” Nikos
grinned.

“Rubbish! You speak better English
than me.” Melissa threw a pillow at him.

“Ouch!” He laughed. “See you all
downstairs in an hour. Wear your swimming
costumes.”

Rhiannon woke up an hour later.
“Mummy!” She cried out, Katie walked in
smiling. “Where are we?” She sat up rubbing
her eyes.

“We are at Nik’s house remember. Are
you hungry?” She nodded. “Go and put your
cozzy on then, there’s tea waiting
downstairs.” Katie handed her, her swimming
costume, Katie had her bikini on under her

shorts and vest top. When Rhiannon came
back Katie smothered her in sun lotion then
they walked downstairs together.

“Hey beautiful!” Melissa smiled as they
came out to the terrace. “Did you have a nice
sleep”? Rhiannon nodded.

Katie sat down on the sun lounger next
to Melissa, Claire and Tessa. She looked
across the pool where Andreus was laying in
swimming shorts and sun glasses talking to
Nikos. “Honey you’re so over dressed for this
heat.” Claire said.

“I’ve got my bikini on.”

“Take the rest off then.” Katie felt very
subconscious as she took her shorts and vest
top off, she was slightly fuller and rounder
than the other girls and she hated the silvery
stretch marks across her abdomen even
though she knew that everything was due to
her past pregnancy.

“What do you think of Andreus?”
Melissa asked.

“He’s nice.”

“Nice? Don’t give me that! You fancy
him.”

“Shut up! Besides he’d never be
interested in me.”

“Why not?”

“Too much baggage. He’s a successful,
sexy bachelor who could probably have any

girl he wants, why would he want a poor
single mother?”

“Honey, you really need to do
something about your self esteem.” Claire
moaned. “You’re pretty, you’ve got a great
sense of humour there’s so much about you
but all you see is your being a single mother.”

Andreus was sitting opposite watching
the girls whilst talking to Nikos, he couldn’t
believe how different the girls were, Melissa
with her long dark brown hair, fair skin, hazel
eyes and extremely slim body, Tessa with her
auburn hair, blue eyes and slightly fuller than
Melissa, Claire with her short blonde hair,
green eyes and almost boyish figure and then
there was Katie with her thick long blonde
hair and huge blue eyes so much like her
adorable daughter’s was bigger than the other
girls, not fat just more voluptuous which was
hardly surprising given the fact she had, had a
child.

Anyone who knew him would be sure
Tessa would have been the one to catch his
eye but it was Katie who he couldn’t take his
eyes off of.

“Earth to Andreus.” Nikos laughed.

“ Sorry.” Andreus’ head snapped up.
“What did you say?”

“It doesn’t matter. I take it you like
Katie.”

“What makes you say that?”

“You can’t take your eyes off of her.”

“What does it matter? She’s taken.”

“No she’s not!”

“Really? Oh I assumed she has a
partner as she has a child.”

“No, she’s a single mother.”

“Hmmm.”

“So, do you like her?”

“She’s a beautiful woman.”

“Don’t hurt her.”

“Excuse me!”

“From what I’ve seen in the past its
certain.”

“Nik, I have no intension of doing
anything that could hurt her. Just because I
think she’s beautiful doesn’t mean I’m going
to go after her.”

Chapter 4

The morning of the wedding the house
was buzzing with activity. Rhiannon was still
asleep when there was a knock on the door,
Katie went to open it to find Melissa standing
there looking worried. “Hey honey, what’s
wrong?” Melissa walked in and sat on the
sofa.

“Do you think I’m making a mistake?”

“What do you mean?”

“Do you think we are rushing into this?
I mean we have only known each other for
eight months! Most couples are together for
years before they even get engaged!”

“Mel, do you love Nik?”

“More than anything.”

“Is he the one?”

“Yes.”

“Then you are doing the right thing.
Why wait if you know he is the person you
are meant to spend the rest of your life with?”

“I’m giving up everything Katie. I’m
leaving my country, my parents, my best
friends…”

“Mel, it will be worth it. We are only a
plane journey away.”

“You’re right.” Melissa smiled. “Of
course you are right.”

“I’m sure it’s normal to have these
doubts on the morning of your wedding. Now
I think it is time I wake up my daughter and
get her into the bath. We’ll be with you soon
honey.” Katie kissed Melissa’s cheek.

Forty minutes later Rhiannon and Katie
walked out of their suite and bumped into
Andreus. “Good morning ladies.” He smiled,
he looked gorgeous in tight blue denim jeans,

a black t-shirt and shades pushed up on the
top of his head. Katie felt naked in her thin
cotton dressing gown over her skimpy new
underwear that Melissa had said she needed
for the dress she would be wearing.

“Good morning. Shouldn’t you be at
Nik’s apartment getting ready?” Katie teased.

“I would be if Nik hadn’t forgotten to
bring the cuff-links, and rings.” He laughed.

“Men! You’re all useless.”

“Really?” Andreus raised his eyebrows.
“That’s not a very nice opinion of my sex
Kate.”

“I speak from experience.” Katie
laughed as she ushered Rhiannon to the next
room. “See you in a few hours.”

When Katie and Rhiannon walked into
the girls suite they saw the whole place was
manic. The hairdresser was doing Tessa’s hair,
curling the this mass of her auburn hair, Claire
already had the light blue flower clip they
were all wearing in her short blonde hair and
was now being worked on by the make up
artist. Melissa and Maureen were studying the
bridal gown crying. “What’s wrong?” Katie
asked Tessa.

“Somehow, Melissa’s dress has been
torn. Sophia is distraught because she just
hung them up when they arrived, she didn’t
check them.”

Katie walked over to where Melissa
and Maureen were standing. “Can I have a
look?” Katie asked.

“It’s ruined!” Melissa sobbed. Katie
looked at the dress, the seam that joined the
bodice to the skirt had come undone.

“No it’s not. Go and ask Sophia if she
has a sewing machine. I promise it looks
worse than it is.” Maureen left the room, she
came back ten minutes later followed by the
butler and housekeeper carrying a sewing
machine and a cotton box. Katie quickly went
to work on the dress whilst Melissa and
Rhiannon got ready. By the time she’d
finished Rhiannon, Claire, and Tessa were
dressed in their pale blue silk dresses, they
were floor length and straight, the adult
bridesmaids had shoe sting straps and
Rhiannon’s dress had little puff sleeves.

“Katie is it done?” Melissa asked.

“Yep!” Katie held out the beautiful
white silk strapless dress it was simple and
plain but when Melissa had put it on she’d
looked stunning.

“Oh my God! It’s as good as new!
Thank you.” Katie had her hair and make up
done then quickly got dressed whilst Maureen
helped Melissa into her dress.

Charlie knocked on the door literally

minutes after the last dressed was zipped up.
“Nik has just arrived. It looks beautiful in the
garden.” They’d decided on a simple wedding
at the mansion, there was an arch of blue and
white roses under which they would have the
ceremony, a hundred white chairs with pale
blue silk back rests were set up for the guests
and a huge marquee had been erected for the
reception decorated in blue and white, a huge
banquet dinner was being prepared at that
very minute whilst a band was also setting up.

“Does he look nervous?” Melissa
asked.

“No, he looks cool, calm and
collected.”

“Lucky him!”

“Are you ready?” Charlie asked.

“Just about.” They all walked
downstairs and onto the terrace together,
Maureen kissed Melissa’s cheek before
walking away to take her seat. The music
started to play so Claire and Tessa started to
walk towards Nik and Andreus, once they had
reached the front Rhiannon and Katie took the
same journey, Andreus smiled at Katie when
they stood next to Claire and Tessa. Then
Melissa walked forward on Charlie’s arm, Nik
smiled as she walked towards him.

The ceremony was beautiful and after
lots of photographs were taken they walked

into the marquee for the wedding banquet.
Melissa smiled when Katie realised she was
sitting next to Andreus. They ate their meal
then Theo, Andreus and Nikos made their
speeches in both Greek and English.

Later that afternoon the band started to
play and Melissa and Nikos took to the dance
floor for their first dance. “You look stunning
Melissa.” Nikos smiled.

“I nearly had to wear my dressing
gown, my dress got torn on the way here but
Katie managed to mend it.”

“I wouldn’t have cared.” He laughed.

“I was right about Andreus and Katie
wasn’t I? they’ve got the hots for each other.”

“That doesn’t mean that anything will
happen between them.”

“Why not?”

“You’re such a romantic trying to pair
off your best friend and brother-in-law.”

“So? What’s wrong with that?”

“Just don’t get your hopes up
sweetheart.”

Rhiannon started to get tired at eight
o’clock that evening Katie and Rhiannon
found Melissa and Nikos talking to Andreus.
“Mel, I’m going to have to take this one to
bed she’s knackered.”

“Oh bless you.” Melissa smiled
squatting down to Rhiannon’s level. “Have
we tired you out sweetheart?” Rhiannon
nodded as she smothered a yawn. “You know
I’m not going to be living in London anymore
don’t you?”
