“We need to talk.”

“What about?”

“What do you think? Can you come to
my suite please?”

“I don’t think…”

“Katie, I need a few answers. We can
either do this here where someone will
overhear us, downstairs in front of everyone
or in private. It’s up to you.”

“Ok.” Katie followed Andreus into his
suite.

“Why did you run away?” He asked as
soon as he closed the door.

“Our night was over.”

“That’s all you wanted? A one night
stand?”

“What else could there be between us
Andreus? We’re too different.”

“How so? I like you, I thought you
liked me what else matters?”

“I do like you Andreus. But I told you
that night, I’m nothing, I’m a single mother
who still lives with her parents because I can’t
afford a place of my own. You’re successful,
rich and independent. You can have any
woman you want! Why do you want me?”

“And I told you last year I don’t give a
shit what your weekly wages are, I don’t care
about any of that. I want you and only you, I
adore Rhiannon, we can make this work
Kate.”

“For how long? Until you get bored
with me not being on tap when you want me
because Rhiannon comes first.”

“Don’t treat me like an idiot Kate. I
know Rhiannon will always come first, I
wouldn’t expect any different. I’m in London
for at least a week every month, I’d come
over every weekend to spend time with you,
you and Rhiannon could come over during
school holidays. We can make this work!”

“As part time lovers?”

“It wouldn’t be like that Katie, I don’t
want you as my lover I want you as my
girlfriend but that is the best we can do for a
little while and I’ll take it Kate I just want to
be with you.”

“Andreus…”

“I get the feeling you want this as much
as I do Kate.” He walked towards her. “Why
are you fighting it? I don’t want to be part
time lovers anymore than you do, I want to
make this work. I love you Katie…”

“How can you say that? You hardly
know me!”

“So what? I have spent the last year
miserable because you never gave me a
chance.”

“How many women’s arms have you
fallen into?”

“None.”

“You expect me to believe you’ve been
celibate for the last year?” She laughed.

“Believe what you want, but I’m telling
the truth. Do you want to try and make this
work?” He ran his fingers through her hair.
“We’d be good together.”

“I don’t want to get hurt Andreus, and
I’ve got to think about Rhiannon.”

“I don’t want to hurt you two either
darling. “ He bent his head and kissed her
gently. “Is this what you want?” Katie
nodded, Andreus pulled her into his arms and
kissed her passionately, then pulled away.
“We really should go back downstairs, do you
want them to know about us yet?”

“It’s up to you.”

“Come on.” He took her hand and led
her downstairs, she expected him to let go
when they walked into the family room but he
didn’t, he sat on the floor and pulled her down
so she was between his legs and wrapped his
arm around her waist. Melissa looked at them
with raised eyebrows and grinned.

“Since when?” She asked.

“About five minutes ago.” Andreus
laughed.

“About time.” Nikos mumbled.

Later that night Andreus and Katie
went upstairs together after everyone else had
gone to bed, they stopped outside her suite.
“We can’t…” She started.

“Not tonight.” He smiled. “You’re

tired, I’ll see you at breakfast. Promise me
you won’t disappear tonight.”

“I promise.” Katie smiled. She stepped
towards Andreus and wrapped her arms
around his waist, she shivered as he ran his
hands down her back. “Good night Andreus.”

“Good night.” He bent and gently
touched his lips to hers before they pulled
apart. Andreus watched her as she walked into
her room then went to his own.

Chapter 11

The next morning Andreus went
downstairs to the dining room to find his
father, Nikos and Charlie sitting at the
breakfast table. “Where are the girls?” He
asked.

“Gone into town shopping, for their
outfits for Saturday.” Nikos smiled.

“Ok, I’ll pop into the office for a few
hours, I should be able to take a couple of
weeks off then.”

“What do you want time off for?” Theo
asked.

“So I can spend some time with Katie
and Rhiannon before they go home. They are
here for two weeks aren’t they Nik?”

“Yeah.”

When Andreus got home that evening
everyone was sitting around the pool, Katie
was laying on the sun lounger with Sophia
sitting on her belly, the baby was chewing on
the bow of Katie’s cerise pink bikini top.
“Hi.” He smiled as he bent down to kiss her.
“Did you have a good shopping trip?”

“We did thank you, I got a very pretty
dress for Saturday.” She smiled.

“I’m looking forward to seeing it.”

“Did you have an exciting day at the
office?”

“Yeah.” He laughed. “Work is very
exciting. The good thing is I can now take two
weeks off to spend with you and Rhiannon.”

“That’s nice.”

“After the christening would you like to
spend the rest of your holiday at my
apartment?”

“Ok.” She smiled.

“Have you told Rhiannon about us
yet?”

“No, not yet. I’ll tell her tonight.”

“I’d better be on my best behaviour
then.” He laughed. “Where is she anyway?”

“She’s gone to the supermarket with
Brigitte to do the weeks shopping and get us
all some ice-creams.”

“Hope she’s getting me one.” He

laughed.

“I think Nikos put your order in.” She
grinned.

“Good, I’m going to change my clothes
then I want a cuddle with my niece.” He
stroked the top of Sophia’s head then quickly
kissed Katie before walking away. Melissa
walked over and sat next to Katie.

“Hey!” She smiled. “How’s are you and
Andreus getting on?”

“Good. Rhiannon and I are going to
stay at his apartment after the christening.”

“Wow! Before you know it you’ll be
moving over here full time!”

“Mel, we haven’t even been together
for twenty four hours yet.” Katie laughed.

“Did you sleep together last night?”

“No.” Katie rolled her eyes.

“Are you telling me the truth?”

“Yes!” Katie laughed as Rhiannon
came out to the pool with a carrier bag
quickly followed by Andreus wearing his
swimming shorts.

“When are you going to tell
Rhiannon?”

“Tonight. She should be ok about it,
they get on well.”

“I know but just remember she’s never
seen you with a boyfriend and she’s never had

to share you with anybody else.”

Rhiannon walked around the pool
holding Andreus’ hand with the ice-creams in
the other. Sophia started babbling as they
started to eat their ice-creams.

“Can I hold my niece?” He picked her
up, and she gave him a dazzling smile. “You
see the effect I have on women.” He winked
at Katie then laughed when she raised her
eyebrows at him. Nikos called Andreus over
so he carried Sophia away.

“He’d make a great dad.” Melissa
smiled.

“I wish he was my daddy.” Rhiannon
said.

“Why?” Katie looked surprised.

“He’s nice. Last night I needed a drink
and you were asleep so I went down to the
kitchen, Andreus was there and we had milk
and cookies.” Katie turned to Melissa who
was smiling. “Then he took me back to bed,
tucked me in and kissed us both goodnight.”
Rhiannon skipped off to Claire and Tessa.

“What do you make of that?” Katie
asked.

“That he’s sweet and caring, and I think
she will find the fact of you and Andreus
being together a lot easier to come to terms
with than we thought.”

“But if he hurts me then he’ll hurt her

badly too.”

“Have some faith in him Kate.” Melissa
said as she stood up when she saw him
walking towards them.

“You’re looking serious my darling.”
He smiled as he sat next to her.

“Rhiannon has just told me about last
night in the kitchen. Thank you that was
sweet.”

“No problem. I can be nice sometimes
you know.”

“I think she might get very attached to
you.”

“Is that a problem?”

“It could be. If you get bored with me
then I wont be the only person to get hurt.”

“Why would I get bored? I have no
intention of hurting either of you.” He took
her hand. “You have to learn to trust me
sweetheart.” Rhiannon ran over.

“Why are you holding my mummy’s
hand?” She asked, Andreus looked at Katie.

“Andreus is my boyfriend sweetheart.”

“You’ve never had a boyfriend before.”

“I know but I really like Andreus.”

“Are you going to get married?”

“We’ll have to wait and see.” Katie
smiled. “Are you ok with Andreus being my
boyfriend?”

“Yes. Can he be my daddy?” She
looked at Andreus. “I’ve never had a daddy.”
Katie and Andreus looked at each other
neither knew what to say. “Don’t you want to
be my daddy?” She asked sadly.

“Why don’t we wait a little while?”
Katie smiled. “If we are all happy then we can
talk about this again.”

“Ok.” Rhiannon walked away.

“I’m sorry I bet you never expected that
this quickly.” Katie said.

“No I didn’t, but it’s ok, she’s innocent.
I really don’t mind if she calls me daddy to be
honest because I’m not going anywhere.
Ever.”

“Andreus, it’s been one day.”

“It’s been a year.” He corrected her.
“I’ve felt this way about you since we first
met.”

“So have I but…”

“Let’s forget all this for now. Like I
said I’m not going anywhere.”

Chapter 12

The christening was beautiful then the
next day Andreus carried Katie and
Rhiannon’s bags down to his car and drove
them to his luxurious apartment, the lounge
was decorated in cream and black with the

odd splashes of red with a large black leather
sofa and chairs and a cream thick pile carpet,
a huge plasma T.V and black wood furniture.
He showed them around, the dining room was
decorated much the same as the lounge, the
kitchen was painted apple green with white
cupboards and slate counter tops. He showed
them his bedroom which was decorated in
blue and white and had a en-suite bathroom
which was pure white with a black Jacuzzi
bath tub and a walk in shower.

Then he showed them the spare room
which was painted lemon with a simple
furniture set and a single bed. “I know this is
a bit boring for you Rhiannon so thought we
could go to the city today and you can choose
how you want to decorate it, the furniture you
want and I’m pretty sure you’ll need some
toys too.”

“Really?” Rhiannon’s eyes lit up.

“Of course! A pretty little girl needs a
pretty room with some toys in it!”

“Oh thank you Andreus!” She hugged
his legs.

“You’re welcome.” Katie told
Rhiannon to use the bathroom before they
left. “Is this ok?” He asked Katie once
Rhiannon was out of earshot.

“Andreus, this is terribly sweet but the

room would be fine for her for the few weeks
we’re here.”

“Just a few weeks? Is that how long
you think this relationship will work?”

“I didn’t say that! But you’ll be coming
to London more than we’ll be coming here.”

“I know, but there’s the school holidays
and I’ll fly you out here for weekends. I just
thought it would be nice for her to feel at
home when she is here.”

“You’re really sweet do you know
that?” Katie smiled as she wrapped her arms
around his waist.

“So you keep telling me.” He laughed
as he kissed her.

“Yuck!” Rhiannon grimaced as she
walked over to them.

They left the apartment and went to the
city, Andreus ordered everything Rhiannon
wanted then took them to a coffee shop. “You
are spoiling her.” Katie smiled.

“I’m enjoying it. I plan on spoiling you
next.”

“How?” She teased.

“Well we can start with shopping, I
think I’d better not explain how else in front
of little people.”
“I’ll look forward to it.” They returned
to the flat and as they sat down Katie’s mobile
rang, she frowned as she answered it.

“Hello?”

“Hi Kate, it’s Jan, Claudia’s mum.”

“Hiya how are you?”

“I’m good thanks, I’m ringing because
Kevin and I have just booked to take Claudia
to Disneyland Paris at the end of August for
two weeks and we got a deal for free children
with every paying adult, all meals are
included. We told Claudia she could choose a
friend and she really want’s Rhiannon to
come. All she’ll need is spending money.”

“Aww, that’s really nice, thank you. I’ll
ask her and text you back, but I’m pretty sure
I know what her answer will be.” Katie
laughed.

“Ok honey, see you when you get
back.”

“Bye.” Katie hung up.

“Who was that?” Rhiannon asked.

“That was Claudia’s mummy, she wants
to know if you would like to go to Disneyland
next month.”

“Really? Can I go?”

“If you want to.” Katie smiled.

“Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

“You’re welcome sweetheart.”

“Andreus.” She turned to look at him.
“Next time me and mummy come to see you
can I bring Claudia?”

“Rhiannon no. You know Andreus or
Uncle Nik pays for our tickets and everything
we need, we can’t expect them to pay for
Claudia as well.”

“But mummy it would be nice to have
somebody to play with!”

“She has a point.” Andreus smiled. “Let
mummy and I talk about it later sweetheart.”

Katie bathed Rhiannon and put her to
bed at eight o’clock then went back to the
lounge and sat down next to Andreus on the
sofa. “Is she asleep?” He asked as he kissed
her neck.

“Nearly. She will be in a few minutes.”

“So…what are you planning to do
whilst Rhiannon is in Paris?”
