“And we should all wait while you have an epiphany you should have had fifteen years ago,” Faith drawls out while disrespectfully rolling her eyes.

“I really didn’t know whether or not I was gay, Faith,” I say right in her face. “If you would’ve just listened to me when I tried to explain it, instead of just laughing in my face, I wouldn’t need to explain it right now. Maybe you could have helped me figure it the fuck out like a best friend should, instead of making me feel like a worthless piece of shit,” I manipulate Faith by making her feel guilty. Faith flinches, and I know I’ve finally hit home- I’ve found something that makes Faith feels guilty, breaching the air of self-righteous indignation Faith walks around in.

Even this morning my body reacted to a woman, but my mind wasn’t happy about it. My body never cared one way or another, just as long as it was getting off. But my mind did, and I always felt disgusting afterwards- ashamed. I decided I should listen to my mind because my body is confused. My mind says I’m gay.”

“And here I thought it was because you preferred cock to pussy,” Faith sarcastically says,
lashing out at me because she feels guilty and hates it. “Particularly impaling yourself on Ezra’s cock,” she nastily digs, making a joke out of the connection Ezra and I share.

“I’m not talking to you,” I grumble.
I breathe
bitch
to make myself feel better. “I’m here for Ezra. I just wanted this witnessed.” I walk away from the bitch. Faith will never change no matter how much I do.

Ezra is on me before I get two feet away. “You’re not leaving me, then?” his voice cracks and tears are sliding down his cheeks. “This means you’re not leaving
, right? Katya said she thought you were going to do something stupid tonight. She could sense it. I was so worried that I’ve been Ezra all fucking day- lost in my mind. Then I had to be Master Ez with Dalton and Whitt. I’ve hated it. Please don’t leave me, I won’t be able to keep it together,” Ezra begs, confusing the hell out of me.

“I’m not leaving you,” I mutter, confused. “
I told you what happens between us is up to you. You’ll have to kill me to get rid of me. My house, my kids, my man. I just wanted you to know I’m not confused about what I want anymore. I want a life with you-
just you
,” I stress.

“Oh, thank God,” Ezra whispers, grabbing my hands, still scared I’m going to leave.

“I don’t think you understand, Ezra. I’m done with girls. I don’t want to share you unless it’s play, and it’s always together, and it’s always a guy.”

“I more than fine with that,” Ezra chuckles, blushing. “Very okay with that.”

“I don’t want to share
our
bed,” I stress. “Just you and me in
our
bed,” I stress even harder without saying the actual words.

“Oh,” Ezra breathes. “Oh,
” he breathes again, finally getting it. His eyes widen in surprise. “That makes so much more sense now…”

“Just you and me, and our kids…” I look over to Ava, expecti
ng her to be crying or ready to throw an epic tantrum. But Ava just moved over to sit next to Zane, who looks uncomfortable from all emotions bombarding his mind. Ava looks at me, expectantly, like she knew this was coming- like Katya already prepared her.

“What?” I mutter
, voice dripping with confusion. I look around the Ballroom but see no one or hear anything. It’s like my life is realigning.

Ezra says in explanation, “Katya.”
