Daimon was mine and I finally realized it.
“Come, Addie. Come now,” he snarled. His words commanded me and my pussy obeyed as I came, falling back into the bed. Daimon’s thrusts became shallow as he came off his high.
“Your pussy is the best fucking pussy I’ve ever had.” He smiled down at me, completely sated.
“Really?” I said, pushing him out of me.
“What?” he looked confused.
“Nothing, forget it.” I grew angry at his thoughtless comment.
“I know enough that when a woman says nothing it means a lot.” Daimon crawled onto me pining me down.
“Get off me,” I said, turning my head.
“Addie, you are the only woman I have ever had this kind of intense sex with. It doesn’t compare. Not even to my very naughty wet dreams I had of you growing up,” he smirked.
“You have to be kidding me.” I looked at him in disbelief.
“You should have seen yourself in your school uniform. It’s actually quite hot.” He wagged his eyebrows.
“Daimon!”
“You looking all studious, while underneath you were this wildcat, ready to go crazy. I loved it.” He licked his lips and he spoke.
“I wasn’t wild back then.” I corrected.
“You were to me. God, Addie you had to see yourself.” He closed his eyes and shook his head, remembering. “I thought you were sexy then, but now…fuck me, now I can’t resist you or your sweet wet heat,” he said as he smiled.
Daimon never knew it and I would never tell him, but his words, even though they could be crass and raw, always spoke the truth, making his hold on my heart the much more firm.
“Come on. We should get up. Don’t we have a day full of activities you planned?” I said, trying to get up, but Daimon held me down.
“Addie, I know I’m not always charming. Like you said, I can be a bastard, but I can say this at least. I love you with everything that makes me, me. I love you completely,” he said softly as he looked down at me. I smiled, my soul soaring from his words.
“I love you too,” I said softly, reaching out for his face, holding it in my hand.

Bora Bora, what could I say? The scenery, let alone the world around me seemed so lively and vivid. Our lives back in Manhattan seemed foreign and distant, while here, only Daimon and I existed. The man planned everything, surprising me every day with something new and exciting.
Today, I woke up earlier than Daimon, wanting some time to myself as I sat outside on the patio watching the turquoise waves leisurely move. A simple calm surrounded me as I watched the sun rise quietly over the small mountain lay in front of us; its rays stretching further as it slowly crept up. I hugged my knees to my body and remembered my mother and my family. Six months ago, my world was in shambles, my restaurant was bankrupt, our house at foreclosure’s grasp, my father’s illness and my sister’s future. All of which hung above my head like Damokles’ sword, ready to fall at any moment. I secretly breathed a sigh of relief the moment Daimon had come back into my life. He was like a typhoon, washing away everything I felt tainted me, making me anew.
I missed my mother. I missed her now more than ever, but I no longer carried around the irrational guilt that weighed me down. Finally, I mourned her like I should have all those years ago. Times like these, the moments I was alone, I could look back and remember her; her laugh and smile, her strength and devotion. Once I was able to let go of my remorse, I finally gave myself permission to remember her like she ought to be remembered.
“What are you doing up so early?” Daimon said groggily as he stood at the patio door. I looked over to see him wearing nothing but his PJ bottoms; his muscles lean and tight as he held onto the patio doorframe.
“Just sitting,” I said quietly. Daimon came out and sat next to me. “I wanted to see the sunrise.” I faintly smiled at him.
“Then I’ll watch it with you,” he said; his baritone voice was still raw.
“Daimon…” I said softly, watching the magnetic scenery of vivid greens of the trees, the vibrant blue of the ocean and the stunning gold of the half risen sun.
“What is it?” he asked.
“It’s because of you,” I said in a hushed voice, still hugging my knees and looking away from him.
“Me?”
“Yes you. You changed everything in my world. I know the reason why we got together is strange, but I’m glad it happened. Being with you, despite how cruel we were to each other, I’m happy it all happened the way it did. And to be honest, I’m almost guessing we’ll probably be just as cruel to each other in the future, which I’m happy about too. You came into my life and fixed everything without me noticing; with Sofia, my father, my mother and even the restaurant. You did it all. I’m sitting here now, seeing all this, experiencing everything because of you.” I held back the treacherous tears that begged to fall. “Thank you.” Those two simple words scorched my throat.
“Addie…” Daimon breathed but I stopped him.
“Daimon, you’ve changed my life and I know we married for our own reasons, we needed and used each other. I realized we couldn’t be here now without that. I just wanted you to understand that I’m so in love with you, despite you being an ass.” I laughed a little. “You are a beautiful man. You’re strong, protective and your love…it’s powerful and overwhelming, but I know I’m able to withstand it. ”
I looked over to see his face, his remarkable and stunning face. His chiseled cheeks and dark stubble, his long dark brown hair tousled to one side and his eyes almost the color of the ocean that lay at our feet. I let out a breath, losing the battle with my tears.
“I love you, Daimon Evans.”
Daimon’s face fell as he looked away from me. “I don’t deserve you or your praise,” he said quietly, his voice low and rough.
I released my arms from around my knees and stood up. I took two steps and knelt down before him. I reached up and gently caressed his stubbled cheek, turning him to face me. “You may not think you deserve it, but to me, you are my salvation.”
I rose up still on my knees and gently kissed his supple lips. I pulled him in close, smelling his scent, feeling his presence. My lips moving slowly and leisurely, as my tongue ever so gently grazed his. Daimon sighed as he kissed me. He pulled away taking my face into his. He gazed down at me, and said nothing as he kept caressing my face.
“You’re going to miss the sunrise,” he whispered as he lifted me up effortlessly and cradled me into his arms. We sat holding each other, watching the sun finally coming over the ridge of the mountain.
“For fuck’s sake, Addie, we’ve been here for about a week and you still haven’t worn the bikini I got you, let alone any of the lingerie,” Daimon said as he sat at the breakfast table.
“I don’t swim, and well, I’m not going to be wearing the lingerie you bought me around the sights you’ve taken me,” I answered, rolling my eyes at him. I was hoping he hadn’t notice how much I avoided showing my scar on my back, but nothing and I mean nothing passed Daimon, ever.
“Fine, today we stay here. Today, you wear the bikini I bought you,” he ordered, crossing his arms as he looked across the table at me. “Daimon, it’s two pieces of string. You seriously can’t expect me to wear that?” I said anxiously.
“Get your sexy ass inside and get dressed. We’re spending the day by our beach area.” He pointed to the patio door.
“But, Daimon—”
“But nothing. Get in there, Addie.”
I groaned as I stood up and begrudgingly made my way to the bathroom with the two-string green bikini he’d bought me.
Once I put it on, I looked at myself in the mirror. The scar wasn’t hideous, but it was there; the skin was discolored and imperfect. When Daimon and I had sex, I usually covered it or hid it away, not wanting him to see. It was a constant reminder of my past life with Frank and I hated it. I threw on one of Daimon’s t-shirts and let out a breath as I met him outside on the deck. He was already in the heated pool waiting for me.
“Do you want to be in the pool or should I take you into the ocean today. I’ll even be gracious enough to let you wrap your fine legs around me as I carry you,” Daimon said as he swam to me.
“Whatever you want,” I said nervously, fidgeting.
“Addie, take off the damn shirt,” he huffed as he rose out of the water.
His swim trunks just barely hung off his very nice looking hips. Daimon had a perfect body and I didn’t feel right taking it off while the sun shine brightly down on us. Daimon grabbed onto the shirt, his wet hands staining it with water. I put my hands to stop him but he yanked it over my head, leaving me bare.
“Fucking sexy,” he breathed as he looked down my body. “I knew green would suit you.” My body grew hot as Daimon smirked, looking at me.
“Oh, mon Dieu!” I heard someone gasp from behind me. I turned to see them looking at my scar, their hand near their mouth. My body grew stiff and I froze as I looked away from Daimon. It was one of the hotel staff who came to clear our breakfast.
“Addie, look at me,” Daimon said sternly, but I didn’t. “Fuck,” he muttered as he took my hand and pulled me to the steps that led to the ocean.
“You’re going to wrap your legs around me the moment we get in and I’m going to swim with you in my arms.” I didn’t bother responding as Daimon stepped in, taking me with him. My anxiety was at an all-time high. Not only was I bare to the world to see, but I was in the ocean and I hardly knew how to swim.
“You’re safe. I’m here,” Daimon reassured as I stepped into the warm blue ocean. Daimon pulled my hand toward him and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He used his hands and feet to swim us around. I smiled, almost forgetting what had happened. The turquoise blue water was crystal clear. I could see yellow fish swimming around us.
“I can’t believe it,” I breathed. “It’s so beautiful.”
“Yeah, it is,” Daimon said as he gazed at me.

We swam like that for what seemed like hours. I felt weightless and free. Never in my life had I ever felt like that.
“Come on, Addie. They brought us food,” Daimon said as he tried to pull me out of the water, but I hesitated, not wanting to move. I waited until the staff left to get out. Daimon waited for me with a big plush towel that he wrapped around me. I sat down, enjoying the array of fresh food in front of me.
“I’m sorry you had to carry me in the water,” I said as I picked at the grilled fish.
“I’m not,” he grinned devilishly.
“I was thinking…that maybe I should get plastic surgery,” I murmured as I looked at my plate.
“Why?” Daimon stopped eating and narrowed his eyes.
“Well, I can get rid of it now.” I shrugged, meeting his eyes. I thought I’d see his loving eyes, but I didn’t, I saw anger. “The scar I can get rid of it now. I—”
“No,” Daimon bit out.
“It’s a constant reminder of Frank, and well, I highly doubt you’d want me to expose myself in front of everyone. It’s not good for you,” I remarked apprehensively.
“I said no,” Daimon said coldly.
“But, Daimon, the scar affects me and I’m afraid it will affect you. I don’t like it when you look at me. This thing…it’s disgusting,” I argued.
“Addie, that scar is you. It’s part of who you are and I love whatever is part of you, especially the scar,” he said bluntly.
“Why?” I questioned softly, dumbfounded.
“Because that scar shows your strength and your resilience. If that scar goes, you are no longer my Addie and I’m not about to lose you now that I have you,” Daimon said in a serious tone.
He left me breathless. I was at a loss. He spoke with such conviction that I had a hard time not believing him. Never did I feel like my scar was anything but a mar left by Frank.
“You’re just saying that so no other guy can have me,” I joked, only because I couldn’t truly handle the sheer honestly of his words.
Daimon stood up from his seat and knelt down before me. “Get it through your head, Addie. You are never leaving my side. You belong to me and me alone.”
The stare of his icy-blue eyes gripped me, holding me to my spot. He lifted his hand and wiped my tears, tears I hadn’t even noticed. He then leaned in, pulled down the towel and kissed my scar. His warm lips tenderly moved along my mark. He held me as he kissed it adoringly. I cried as I felt the tiny ripples his lips left on my body; the body that Frank had wounded. Daimon kept kissing it, soothing the ache in my heart. “You are so beautiful in my eyes, Addie,” he whispered as he held me in his arms. “Never question that.”
“So what did you get me and did you have a lot of great kinky sex?” Elissa questioned as I spoke to her on my iPhone.
“Something I think you’ll like, and yes, I had a lot of kinky sex,” I laughed.
We arrived back the previous night and the jet lag was killer. Daimon wasted no time going back to work. I tried to convince him to stay home, but he refused. Daimon worked all the time. I knew he had to; money didn’t come easily. I thought it did for the riches, but living with him and seeing how much he dedicated himself, changed my perspective on that.
“So what are you up to today? Want to come over and get drunk watching
The Princess Bride
again?” Elissa asked.
