Trilogy was setting up and Juli was obviously already drunk. She held a fifth of Irish whiskey and drank from it.

“Is this fuckin’ mic on?” she wondered into the microphone.

“Yes, it is,” I replied.

The young blonde looked at me and her pale blue eyes were blood-shot. “Thanks, babe. I haven’t slept in about eighteen hours. The only thing that is gonna get me through this show is a couple lines of coke. You don’t know where I could score?”

“Chyna Bleu keeps an emergency stash but you didn’t hear it from me.” I aimed my camera. “Do you mind if I get some candid photos? It’s for my own personal album.”

“Sure, go ahead.”

I began to snap the band as they began to have a heated conversation about what songs they’d decided to play that night. I was so involved with shooting photos, when a pair of arms wrapped themselves around my waist, I almost slipped and dropped my Nikon.

“Fuck, Will, you scared the shit outta me.”

“That was the point.”

I turned around and kissed him deeply, my mouth instantly opening to allow his tongue full access to me. “Maybe we can find a suite to hurry up and consummate our marriage, what do you say?”

“We only have an hour break. Come on, I’m sure Rory will accommodate us.”

I put my camera away, grabbed it and my handbag before we quickly left the arena in haste on the search for a quick place to make love.

Chapter Twenty

Will

THE GUYS TOOK pity on Will and allowed him and Laurel to use the dressing room.

He didn’t have much to do besides bend her over the comfortable velvet sofa, unbutton her jeans, pull them down to her ankles before he freed his own insistent erection and plunged into her warm pussy. Her whole body quaked under his as he kissed her neck and continued to thrust his cock inside her.

This was no slow lovemaking session; she didn’t want them to be married in name only and now they weren’t.

Laurel spread her legs as far as her jean-clad legs allowed while Will caressed her hard clit while his position hit her G-spot.

“Oh, God, this is gonna be a quickie. I’m gonna come soon.”

Will grabbed her long hair. “Yeah, I know, I’m close but I want you to come first.”

His thrusts became quicker, and harder before she shuddered underneath him and whimpered out loud. “I’m fuckin’ coming.”

Will let go and came inside her with quick thrusts before he grabbed a clean towel. As soon as he withdrew, he cleaned her up as his cum ran down her legs.

“How considerate of you, babe, but I need a shower. Don’t worry. I’ll track down Syd and use Talia’s. I wasn’t planning on wearing this tonight anyway.”

“Why not? I like smelling me on you.” He stole a kiss from her luscious lips before she smiled at him as she hitched up her jeans.

“Yeah but some people might not agree and it’s New Year’s Eve. I want to look sexy for you tonight.” She kissed him again after she’d arranged her hair and walked out of the dressing room, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

He was really fucking married, and to the woman of his dreams that he’d always assumed was going to be a man.

Grant, Kaz and Jaden walked back in.

“We saw her heading on down the hallway. Do you feel better now?” Kaz picked up his guitar and began to look it over.

“At least it doesn’t smell like ass in here—if that’s what you’re fucking every night, can we all take a turn?” Grant winked at him as Will casually gave him the finger.

“Wait, you fucked Laurel a few years ago…” Jaden trailed off as his amber eyes met Will’s icy blue eyes.

“No offense but you can speak about Faith any fuckin’ way you want but that’s my
wife
you’re talking about.”

“Totally fucking out of order, Jaden. What you should do is crawl your ass over to Talia and beg her to take your ass back now that your sweetie is a jailbird.”

Will hit Grant’s arm. “What’s up with Faith?”

“Bitch got stopped by the Nevada Highway Patrol. She was loaded up on Oxy and cocaine. They arrested her and she’s in jail. She called her parents and they slapped lover boy over there with a restraining order. He can’t get anywhere near her or he’ll be arrested.”

“Ouch.”

Grant shrugged his shoulders. “You know what they say. Lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.”

ALL THE STAR performances that night went off without a hitch. It was a major lineup that included something for everyone including pop stars Chyna Bleu and Damian Phillips; and hard rocking acts like Trilogy, Winter’s Regret and Scarlet Fever. Will gave his bass to the technician and walked up to the VIP area to spend the New Year’s countdown with Laurel.

She looked fabulous in a scarlet Versace dress, black Christian Louboutin five-inch heels and her long, brown highlighted hair flowing around her face, shoulders and back. He embraced her and she responded with warmth and overwhelming love for him.

The countdown happened but they were so into one another, they missed everything except, “Happy New Year!”

Will looked into Laurel’s hazel-green eyes.

“Today, we begin anew. No more talk about the past and no throwing it in each other’s face, you got that?”

She nodded. “We’re gonna burn the past, watch the flames and dispose of the ashes, babe. It’s just you and I…and the little one.”

His crystal blue eyes brightened. “Little one. How long have you known?”

“Four hours. I didn’t touch any alcohol because I’d already had a drink earlier today. I think I’m over a little over a month…my periods have been irregular for a while but I thought it was just me coming off the birth control pills.” She smiled slightly. “I know my mom’s gonna have a shit fit. A baby by my gay husband!”

Will and Laurel both laughed out loud before they both tried to become serious again.

“So, this is it? I’m gonna be a Dad?”

“Maybe…it’s my first pregnancy and I might have a miscarriage but…I’ll try to keep myself healthy and if we’re lucky, eight months from now—give or take—we’ll be parents to one of the luckiest kids in the world.”

Will brushed her hair out of her face and grabbed her face gently. “I love you…even if I don’t wear my heart on my sleeve. You are the one for me…you’ve always been.”

Laurel leaned into him. Their lips brushed against one another. “How am I supposed to top that? I won’t even try so I’ll just say my heart and soul belong to you and only you. I’ll make room for the little one when he or she gets here.”

“You better make room for him or her now. That’s my progeny you’re carrying there.” He kissed her long and hard until she had to pull away for air.

“Of course I’ll love our children and there’s plenty of room in my heart for them too but you’re the only man I want to spend the rest of my life with. I knew it when we met, I knew it that night with Karl…and I know it now.” She touched his face before her finger traced his perfect nose.

“I thought you said something about us burning the past,” he responded in mock anger.

“We are and we did.” She shook her head in mock annoyance. “Do you always have to have the last word?”

“Absolutely.” Will smiled, wrapped his arms around Laurel’s waist and kissed her lips. “You see? The New Year is starting out great already.”

“Don’t jinx us. We still have to get through tomorrow.” She rolled her eyes. “You think my mom and dad were annoying at that dinner and today, wait until you have to spend a whole day with them.”

“Tomorrow is another day.” Will shrugged apathetic shoulders. “And if it gets too bad, I’m going to steal you away and we’ll start our honeymoon early on the sandy beaches of Jamaica.”

“Sounds like a plan,” she whispered in his ear.

He nodded in agreement. “The perfect plan if I don’t say so myself. I found you, and I can honestly say this is the happiest I have ever been in my life.”

Laurel smiled and reminded him of something very important: he finally was home, at peace with himself, his homosexuality, and the woman who’d captured his heart. For the first time in his life, he truly felt complete and the feeling of loving another person unconditionally brought him more pleasure than he’d ever experienced in his life.

This wasn’t the end but the beginning of another chapter in his life and he couldn’t wait to cherish it with the one person who adored him; the same person he adored with his heart, mind, body and soul.
