“No! It wasn’t the sore, it was just dramatic to have you back inside me. I don’t believe that I mentioned that your dick is much larger than Joe’s.”

“No, you didn’t.” Enar ran his hands up her sides, slapping her across the cheek of her ass and laughing as she jumped. He slid his finger into her anus, putting pressure on her inner muscles. With his other hand, he reached around and started to draw circles around her clit. He stopped moving, allowing Lana to set the pace. What started as a slow rock turned rapidly into strong thrusts of her hips, her pussy tightening before convulsing around him. He let his dick throb, her pulsing muscles drawing from him every last drop of cum. Enar snarled, leaning and dragging her up to his chest. He sucked on the side of her throat, pulling away with a smack. “How pretty that is going to be.”

“You have to be kidding. I haven’t had a hickey since I was a teenager.”

“You have one now.” She turned her head to kiss him, and as the embrace continued, he turned her body to face him. “Am I allowed to say that I am in love with you?”

A bright, bubbly smile erupted on her face. They were words that she had been longing to hear, and all reluctance about the insanely fast progression of their relationship faded as she replied, “Why not. I’m in love with you also.”

Enar returned her overjoyed expression. “I’m really glad to hear it.”

Chapter 6

It was late in the afternoon when Lee returned, the lasagna was cooling on the stove and the cheesecake was chilling in the refrigerator. They sat down to eat, the meal getting rave reviews from both men. Lee stayed for a while and then left, leaving them free to return to Lana’s house.

She turned off the alarm, walking inside. The house no longer felt like home, and it was oddly disheartening to be within the walls. “Are you okay?” asked Enar.

“I guess. I have always loved this house. Now suddenly it doesn’t feel warm and inviting anymore.” She took one of the boxes that they had purchased on the way to her house and walked into her study. Lana carefully arranged a few of the plants in the box, taking care that they would not be damaged by the ride. Enar took it out to the car as she packed the next one up. Lana gazed around at the paintings on the walls. Some of them were her paintings and others were family pictures.

Enar slid his arms around her, pulling her tight to his chest. “Did you do those?”

“Yeah.”

“The trees are beautiful. You should bring your painting supplies with you.”

“It would give me something to do while you are out jogging.”

His phone chimed, and he grumbled at the caller ID before flipping it open. “What’s up?…Executrone…Fabulous…Their system is a mess to begin with…I’ll be there in about an hour…Later, Randy.” He slapped the phone closed. “I have to go to work. The place is up in Bridgeport, just outside of New York. Do you want to stay here or go back to our house?”

Our
house?” she asked, her heart beating faster in her chest. That single word had such a huge meaning as he had stated it. It was no longer
his
because he wanted
her
to share it with him.

“Yes,
our
house. I want you to be my wife. I want to live with you until death does us part. Think about it, please.”

She
was
thinking about it, and her thoughts were insane. She had just met him. How could she be thinking about marrying him? Lana admitted to herself that it was just as crazy to be moving in with him. She was doing it anyway.

She smiled to offset her lapse in replying. “I
am
thinking about it. If you want to move the plants into my car, I will bring them back. I should really grab some clothing and stuff.”

“Good idea.” He dragged her into a kiss, releasing her reluctantly. “I don’t want to be away from you.”

“Me neither. I can go with you.” A bright smile popped onto her face as she wiggled her eyebrows.

“I wish you could.” His hand stroked her cheek. “Executrone is a very private, secure company. They would get really pissed about me bringing my girlfriend who doesn’t have security clearance into the mainframe of their operation.”

She shrugged. Lana didn’t want him to lose his job. Although, he really didn’t need to work. “Then I will see you back at the house.”

“Give me your phone.”

Lana took the phone from her pocket. His fingers were a blur upon the keyboard, and then he handed the phone back. “I put in my number and Lee’s number. I put my address in your notepad. Do you have GPS on your phone?”

“No.”

With a grunt, he took the phone back, pulling up the Internet. A few minutes later he handed it back to her. The GPS screen was open on her phone. “I already programmed it for my house. It’s in your main menu screen when you are ready to use it. I really have to go.” He dragged her into his arms, kissing her as if he might never see her again. Enar released her reluctantly. “I’ll see you at home.”

She nodded, feeling like crying as he disappeared. Lana sank into a chair, leaning her head back. “I have it bad,” she commented with a laugh. “He leaves the room and takes the warmth from my body with him. I hope he isn’t full of shit. Talk about love at first sight. Damn it. I don’t even have a picture of him to look at.”

Lana pulled up Facebook on her phone, going to Enar’s homepage. She stared at the photo of the two of them. Lee must have taken it in the kitchen when Enar was standing behind her at the table. It was an amazing shot, and she smiled at it. She hoped that Lee had tagged her in the photo, and she went to her homepage, grinning. Lana copied the photo to her phone, making it the background picture. She went back and looked at the comments below the photo. Mona had been on Facebook.

OMG you have to be joking. He is young enough to be my brother. Does anyone else think my stepM has gone insane?

Maria replied,
OMG am I jealous. What’s up with his brother? Is he as cute?
Call me, bitch!

Lana chuckled and shut the phone. She finished packing up the plants, taking them out to the car. She grabbed another box and filled it with clothing and personal items. Another was packed with painting supplies. She stacked whatever available canvas and watercolor paper she had on hand and made three trips out to the car. If she eventually moved totally in with Enar, then she would need to figure out what she wanted to bring and what to get rid of. It seemed like an impossible task, and Lana dropped on the sofa, looking around. Her paintings would go with her, her jewelry, some of the photos, and her computer. She stood, heading into the bedroom to get her laptop. Enar had a desktop, but she currently had no desire to use it, nor had she the time. Eventually she would have to go on Facebook and answer questions. She flipped open the phone and dialed Maria.

“Lana. I hate you.”

“Why?” she replied with a laugh.

“He looks so gorgeous. Tell me he is not that cute in person or that hot.”

“He is actually hotter. You really can’t see his body in the photo. Maria, I have died and gone to heaven.”

“Is he good in bed?” Maria asked in a conspiratorial tone.

“You have no idea.”

“There has to be something wrong with him. Is he stupid?”

“No. He is a computer genius. He is funny, sweet, a tease. He is passionate, understanding. He is everything.”

Maria paused, harrumphing in Lana’s ear. “Girl, you sound like you are in love. You have only known him for two days.”

“I know. I’m moving in with him. I just came home to get some of my stuff. He asked me to marry him. I haven’t answered him yet.”

What
?”

“You heard me right.”

“You can’t be seriously considering saying yes.”

“Actually, I am. I know it sounds crazy, but we click. We have spent two days together, talking, making love. He has had a hard life. His brother likes me a lot. He came over this morning and we made sauce. It cooked during the day, and then Enar and I made lasagna and cheesecake. We worked in the garden. It was the perfect day until he got called into work. Now I’m packing and going back up to his house. I want him like nothing I have ever wanted before.”

“He works?”

“Yes, and he doesn’t have to. He’s rich. You should see his house, it’s beautiful. His brother has a waterfall behind his house. Oh shit!” she said with a dismayed grunt.

“What’s wrong?”

“Mona just drove by. She saw the light and pulled in the driveway. I really don’t want to deal with her.”

“Sorry. I’m glad to hear that you’re happy. I hope it works out, just be careful.”

“Thanks, Maria.” She hung up the phone and braced herself as she opened the door. Mona looked into her car and then stormed up the front walkway.

What the hell do you think you are doing
?”

“You already asked me that and I already answered it.
So stop yelling at me
!”

Mona stepped back, her voice losing its intonation. “Why are all your plants in the back of your car?”

“Because I am taking them up to Enar’s house. He has a huge garden and lots of sunny windows for them.”

Mona’s nostrils flared. “Please don’t tell me that you are moving in with that gigolo. Do you have any idea what men like that are like? They take a woman for anything they can get and then move on, leaving the woman flat. Is that what you want? To get dumped after he has robbed everything from you? He will steal everything my father worked for.”

Lana inhaled deeply, fighting an urge to tell Mona exactly what Enar would be stealing if he stole anything from her. It had been her financial sense and the money her grandmother had left her that had allowed them to live the lifestyle they did. If things had been left to Joe, she would be broke and living in the gutter. “I am not stupid, Mona. Enar doesn’t need my money. He has his own. I did a background check on him.” It was a lie, but it sounded good.

“Then what the hell does he want with you? He looks like he’s about thirty. The man is closer to my age.”

Lana suddenly understood Mona’s anger. Mona had seen the photos of Enar and figured that he should be with her, not Lana. “He is thirty-three. I’m sorry if you think I am too old and ugly to be dating a younger man, but I am.”

Her words made Mona’s next comment freeze on the woman’s lips, and she rolled her eyes, her nostrils flaring again. “I didn’t mean it that way.”

“Yes, you did. You are only worried about the money and no longer having a free babysitter. You are angry because you figured you should inherit a fortune when your father died and you didn’t. I paid off your mortgage and left you free and clear on the house. Not once did you even bother to say thank you. I’m sorry, Mona, but right now I am happy, and it has been a long time since I felt this way. Your father and I have been drifting apart for years. We had almost nothing in common anymore. We rarely went out and when we did, it was to go out and eat, nothing more. I stayed with him, never cheating on him, and he hadn’t touched me since I fell down the stairs. And while I’m on the subject, I was really angry with you for never bothering to ask your father how I was doing. I know that he told you how bad the break in my leg was. Would it have killed you to get your mind off yourself for two seconds to inquire about me?” Mona lowered her gaze guiltily and Lana continued, “I have always supported you, and now that I want your support, all you have done is criticize and question me as if I’m doing something wrong. Is it wrong that I want to be happy? Enar makes me happy. I have no idea what the future holds, but I’m really tired of fighting with you about this.”

Mona stared at her as if stunned by her stepmother’s words. Lana had never confronted her before. She had always been the peacemaker between Mona and her father. She had always been the logical, intelligent woman who made things right and smoothed over all the bumps in life with her sweet, well-spoken words. “I don’t want to fight with you. I know life with my father wasn’t easy. Did you love him at all?”

“Yes. That is why I stayed with him. I kept hoping that things would get better. They didn’t.”

“I’m sorry.”

Lana wasn’t sure if she was apologizing for herself or for her father, but it didn’t really matter. She had put up with Joe and she no longer cared to put up with shit from Mona. Her phone chimed, and she smiled at Enar’s picture. “Hey.”

“Hi, where are you?”

“I’m still getting my stuff. Where are you?”

“Dealing with a nasty virus that wiped out a ton of shit on their hard drive. They have backups, but I’m going to have to reformat the main system and then reload everything. It’s going to take me a good portion of the night. Why don’t you go to Lee’s? I don’t really want you at the house all alone.”

“I’m a big girl. Is the boogie man going to get me?”

“No. I just don’t want you alone. I love our house, but it is kind of in the boonies.”

Mona slipped her mind as she teased, “I think you are afraid that I will break into the dungeon and find all your secret torments.”

Enar laughed. “That was actually the last thing on my mind. I miss you. I want you near when I get home, but I don’t want you alone. Please. Go to Lee’s.”

“I’ll call Lee when I get up there. I don’t want to leave my plants in the car overnight.”

“Okay. Then go home with him?”

“I swear, you are trying to get me into bed with your brother.”

“Fuck you!” he replied in a teasing tone. “I don’t want to share.”

She inhaled loudly so he could hear her, the drama in her voice masking her urge to laugh. “I am stunned, you swore at me. I wish you were here to do so.”

Enar began to laugh again. “You are the most aggravating woman on earth. I love you so much. Please?”

“Okay. If it will make you feel better.”

“It will. Thank you. I have to go back to work. This sucks.”
