She stood, concentrating on the calming sound of the artificial falls, trying to release the stress in her body. She was worried about Enar. Why hadn’t he told her that he needed to eat proper meals so he wouldn’t become ill? He already knew that she could cook, and knowing that he would have been sick without Lee’s intervention angered her slightly. Enar needed to tell her more about the shots, so she would know how to use them if the need arose. She would talk to him about it when he got home.

She blew out a long breath, forcing everything from her mind as she began the yoga routine that she tried to do every morning.

Chapter 5

Lana stirred the sauce and then took a shower. She was getting dressed when she considered her phone. It was in the pocket of her pants, and she fished it out. The icons for voice messages, text messages, and missed calls were all present, and she groaned. Lana sat down on the bed, scanning the text messages, one from Maria and seven from Mona. She read Maria’s.
Have you given up on Facebook? Your crops wilted, no gifts, what’s up? Call me
.

Lana looked Maria up in “contacts” and called, leaving a message that she had been busy. She listened to the fifteen voice messages from Mona, all of them asking the same question. “Where the hell are you?”

Barring herself for the onslaught of shit, she called Mona. “What’s up?”

Where the hell are you?

“At Enar’s house.”

What
?
Who
?” Mona growled, the anger in her voice thick enough to cut with a knife.

“Umm…Enar is my…boyfriend…”

What
are you talking about? Since
when
do you have a
boyfriend
?
What
are you doing at his
house
?” Mona fired the questions in quick succession, her voice peaking and dropping off as she accented single words.

Lana waited until she was finished, replying in a calm, patronizing tone, “We are having a good time. I enjoy being with him and I’m happy. He asked me to stay, and I have been. I am currently making a pan of sauce for lasagna. Enar and his brother Lee went jogging.”

Lana could almost see the expression of disbelief on Mona’s face. “He left you alone in his house?”

“Yeah.”

Enar staggered into the bedroom. He fell toward her, knocking her back with his hands and dropping on top of her. She pushed at him. “Ugh. You are all sweaty.”

He wiped the sweat from his face onto her shirt, laughing. “Who are you talking to?”

“Mona.”

“Oops. Hi, Mona.” He put his hand over the phone. “Want to take a shower with me?”

“I would love to. Just let me finish my conversation. Could you go stir the sauce?”

He smashed her mouth with a kiss and then slid back, getting to his feet. Lana laughed as he skipped from the room.

“What the hell was that?” asked Mona.

“It was Enar, who else?”

“You have got to be
kidding
me. You take off to who knows where with some guy you
just
met. You are staying at his house, presumably
sleeping
in
his bed
. Not including the fact that the kids had no school yesterday and I really needed you to watch them.
What the hell are you thinking?

“I am thinking about enjoying my life. I wouldn’t count on me taking care of the kids on call anymore. I don’t know when I will be home. I might not come home. I have to go take a shower with Enar, he wants me there,” she added for the pure satisfaction of shock value. Lana clicked the phone off, growling at it as she got to her feet. She shut the volume off, dropping it on the table.

Enar applauded her from the doorway. “That was handled tactfully.”

“She gets on my last nerve. She can’t scold me like her children. I am not her child or her full-time babysitter. How dare she question me? I’m a grown woman.”

He licked his lips. “Yes, you are. Come play grown-up with me and I will show you how to relax.”

She walked up to him, falling into his arms. “Can I forget what is left of my old life?”

“What about your grandchildren?”

“I don’t know. If their mother is mad at me, she won’t let me see them anyway. She had done it before.”

“How about we forget them at the moment and enjoy our shower? Do you still want to get your plants? We could go after dinner.”

“I would like to. Can I put them in the front window? They would look very pretty and block some of the view from the driveway.”

“Are you saying that my house needs a woman’s touch?”

She grinned, sighing against his shoulder. “Not really. I love your house.” Lana leaned back slightly. “Is the dungeon alarmed?”

He nodded, laughing heartily. “Yes. Why? Did you go snooping?”

“I was tempted, but I remembered the light over the door and didn’t.”

“Are you a bit nosy?”

She stuck the tip of her tongue through her teeth. “Of course I am. Other than a brief look when I called it a dungeon, I have been blindfolded most of the time I was in there. I went to the bathroom by dim candlelight. All that water made me want to pee, and then the phone rang and I ran for it.” Her expression morphed to a frown. “Why did I answer your phone? I shouldn’t have done that, huh?”

Enar stroked her cheek, trying to wipe the concern from her face. “I don’t care if you answer my phone. I don’t get many phone calls. It will most likely be Lee or my work. I talk to Rolf occasionally, but not that often. My number is blocked and unlisted so I don’t get bullshit calls. I’m glad you answered the phone. Lee can let himself in, but he called first out of respect for us. He likes you.”

“I felt really stupid for walking in front of the window naked.”

Wrapping her in his arms, he laughed and then tugged her into the bathroom. “I need a shower.” Enar stripped off her T-shirt. “Why did you get dressed?”

“I went out in the garden to do my yoga.”

“You didn’t have to get dressed. Lee and I own twenty-five acres of property. It is a wide strip, shaped like a rectangle, so the house is approximately a thousand feet from the road and there’s about three thousand feet or a little better than half a mile between our houses. The remainder is to the sides and back. The property to the left as you face the house butts up directly to a nature preserve. Our parents’ house was in the middle, but the house was struck by lightning and it caught fire. By the time Lee saw the flames it was too late. Luckily, the rain kept the surrounding damage to a minimum.”

“No lightning rods?”

“Yeah, but it didn’t help.”

He grabbed the waistband of her pants, tugging them off. Lana responded by removing his sweaty shirt and dropping it daintily to the floor. She removed his sweats and grinned at the heart-covered briefs. “Very cute.”

“I don’t jog without something to hold the boys up.” He turned and opened the glass door. Lana looked into the oversized shower, thinking that it looked more like a walk-in closet.

“Wow.”

“Like?”

“The shower in the back bedroom is large, but you could put five people in this one.”

Shrugging, he replied, “I like room when I shower. I was hoping to have someone to share it with someday. Another one of Sue’s hang-ups was the idea of soiling the shower with cum.”

Lana stripped off his shorts and put a hand to his chest, pushing him back into the shower stall. Enar chuckled and turned the water on. Jets flowed from the ceiling, making it seem as if a warm rain was falling. He drew her into a kiss, his mouth crushed against her, his tongue exploring the remote regions of her own. She melted in his embrace, his soft toy to play with as he slurped the water from her breasts. “You make me insane. I’m sore from the last two days, yet I want you so bad I ache.”

“Kneel, woman! Make my dick hard and make me want you.”

Shaking her head, she grimaced. “I can’t.”

He pushed her slightly back, growling. “You can’t what? I love oral sex.”

“That isn’t the problem. I can’t kneel, literally. I can’t put that much direct pressure on my kneecap. You’re getting angry because I refused?”

Enar hung his head in remorse. “I’m sorry. When Sue used to tell me ‘I can’t,’ it meant she didn’t want to. I heard that a lot when she got sick. Actually, that’s a lie. I heard that a lot, period. Before we got married, she wanted to wait. After we got married, I found out that she didn’t like sex. Forget about oral sex. Sex was only in the bed. Sex with a dead fish.” He reached around her and flipped a seat down from the wall. “Sit and blow me.”

He had obviously made the comment to change the subject. Lana couldn’t help but think how much her later years with Joe resembled his life with Sue. It was not something she wanted to discuss at the moment, and she glared at him. “Don’t talk disgusting. It does nothing for me.” His comment had struck a bad nerve, reminding her of the aforementioned Fred, who had tried to rape her. She focused her attention back on Enar. Lana ran her hands down his chest, smiling as she noted again the athletic curves in his muscular chest and abs. She took the opportunity to offset her previously bossy comment with a compliment. “You have a smoking body.”

“Thank you.”

Her palm drifted downward. Her eyes locked with his as she sat down. She grasped his dick lightly with her fingers, gazing upward as she slowly rolled her tongue over his silky tip. It was a slow combination of her hands and mouth, a perfect synchronicity of motion and knowing exactly what areas enjoyed attention. She ran the tip of her tongue down the long vein on the underside of his dick, sucking his almost hairless balls into her mouth with the ideal pressure. Enar pushed her back. He grabbed her by the cheeks of her ass, sliding her up the surface of the shower.

She wrapped her legs around him, ignoring the twinges of protest as he sank the solid form of his dick deeply into her flesh. She gasped, whimpering softly, but Enar seemed to be far away, his body working independently from his mind. She captured his face with her palms, drawing him into a lusty kiss and then grimacing as he slammed into her, his fingers digging into her cheeks. It was the first time that he had been so aggressive about the actual joining of their flesh, and Lana didn’t really like the fact that he was treating her so roughly. “Take it easy, lover boy.”

“Why?”

His reply was so gruff, Lana was hesitant to tell him. “Sore from the last two days. I would have finished you with my mouth.”

“I know. I was just wondering if you would be hot and wet without tons of stimulation.”

“Hot, yes. Am I wet?”

He smiled. “Soggy. Why so turned on?”

“I am taking a shower with a sweet, funny, intense, very hot man. Why would I not be turned on?”

“Sue never was.”

Lana suddenly understood his forcefulness and felt the need to tell him her thoughts. “I don’t really like to be sexually pounded. I am also not Sue. Nothing personal against her, but don’t ever refer to me as a dead fish.”

He instantly softened his movements. Enar curled his bottom lip between his teeth. “I said that out loud?”

“Yes, you did. Was she?”

“Yeah. How could a woman not move during sex? She would bend her knees and not move. She said that she would come, but I never felt it.” He began to move more slowly, his hips flexing gently. “Better?”

“Much. Do you feel it when I climax?”

“Shit yeah. Your pussy clamps around me and then releases, quickly at first and then slowing until it is just tiny twinges around my flesh. Not including the multitude of other tremors and spasms that seem to rip through your body. I don’t think any woman could fake that.”

“I don’t have to fake anything. Sex with you is very real.” A moan of pleasure escaped her lips.

“Were you like this in bed with Joe?”

She shook her head. “Not really. I was younger when we got married. It felt good and all, but not like with you. I think as I got older and learned more, my ability to let go and enjoy it increased. Unfortunately, our sex life decreased and so did the concept of foreplay. If there was no one home, I would daydream. The daydreams would be intense, sometimes lasting for days on end. It would arouse me and I would masturbate. Joe never saw the real side of me when I climaxed.”

“Is that what I see?” She lowered her gaze, smiling shyly and nodding. Enar chuckled. “You are so damn cute when you do that. You lose your horns and grow a halo.”

“Are you calling me a devil?”

“You have to be a bit devilish to keep up with me.” He withdrew, his dick leaving behind an empty void in her burning pussy, before he slowly filled the throbbing space he had left behind. She inhaled a dramatic breath through her clenched teeth, whimpering softly. Enar slid her upward, his kiss filled with passion. His hand slid inward and he gently pushed a finger up her anus, wiggling it within her. Lana instinctively tried to arch away from the intrusion. “Am I hurting you?”

“No. I just wasn’t expecting that.”

“Relax.” He pulled away. “Flip over.”

The skeptical expression on her face made him smile. “I wouldn’t do that without preparation and lube. I just wanted to switch positions.”

“Thank you. Joe left me with no desire for anal sex.”

“I’ll change that, but not right now.”

Lana kicked her leg upward, catching her ankle. She brought her leg up between herself and Enar, spiraling her body, before dropping her foot to the floor so her back was to his chest. Lana grinned over her shoulder at the surprised look on his face.

“That was impressive.”

“I told you, I do yoga every morning. I like to stay flexible.”

“Good. I will be testing that.”

He pushed her shoulders down so she was leaning on the seat and then dribbled bodywash over her back. As he created a foamy lather on her skin, he slid his dick back inside her. Lana arched away from him slightly and then slowly shifted back. “Are you really that sore? Do you want me to stop?”
