She tugged the sheet up to cover herself and snuggled with
Mason’s pillow. She smiled contentedly, enjoying the scent of him that
enveloped her, and decided to have a little nap to pass the time.

Chapter Twenty-Two

Dinner was nice. Mason chose a small Italian restaurant that
felt comfortable and homey. The muted lighting made it feel intimate and the
food was delicious. There was live music and quite a few other couples, who
appeared to be on dates. Laurie glanced around at the other couples, imagining
how each of them had met. She wondered aloud to Mason and they made a game out
of it. The two of them spent most of dinner coming up with scenarios for each
couple in the place and then compared their stories. Laurie was glad she and
Mason could have such silly fun together.

“Does this count as our first date?” he asked as they
finished their dessert.

“I would say the second,” Laurie told him. “I think of the
carnival as our first date.”

He shot her a mischievous grin. “If I’d known you were a sex-in-the-car
on the first date kind of girl, I would have asked you out the second I met
you.”

He made the statement during a pause in the music and his
voice seemed to echo across the room. Several heads turn toward them and Laurie
blushed. He blushed a little, as well, but laughed loudly, obviously amused by
her embarrassment.

“You better be good if you want this date to end like that
one did,” she warned him.

“It was a compliment, Angel.”

She glared at him and he held up his hands in surrender.

“Okay, I’ll be good.”

As everyone in the place turned their attention back to
their food, her embarrassment eased and she couldn’t help but laugh.

After dinner, Mason insisted on stopping at the mall to pick
up some clothes for Laurie.

“Mason, this really isn’t necessary; I have enough,” she
protested as they entered the store.

He put an arm around her shoulder and pulled her along.

“Angel, quit being a pain in the ass and just do what I say,”
he said as he kissed her temple.

She huffed and elbowed him in the ribs, causing him to
laugh. He came to a stop in front of a rack of clothes that were far more
revealing than those Laurie wore. He held up a pink tube top and raised an
eyebrow.

“I sure wouldn’t mind seeing you in this.”

Laurie shot him a sly look then took it from him and held it
against her chest.

“Sure, I could wear this to class when the weather gets a
little warmer. It would be cute with some shorts or Capri pants.”

Mason frowned as he gazed at her and she knew he was
thinking of other men seeing her in the skimpy top. He snatched it away from
her and hung it back on the rack. Laurie laughed at having hit her target. He
guided her away from the rack and toward a display of more modest clothing. She
was looking at a long, flowing skirt when a store employee approached them.
Actually, the tall, attractive blonde approached Mason and ignored her.

“Can I help you find something?” She shot Mason a seductive
smile, blatantly studying him from head to toe with an appreciative gaze.

Mason motioned toward Laurie. “My fiancée is looking for
some new clothes.”

Laurie noticed the salesgirl flirting with Mason and
jealousy stabbed her in the chest. When the girl intentionally brushed herself
against him, it took all she had not to deck the bitch. Fortunately for Mason,
he maintained that cold, brooding, impatient expression he reserved for
everyone except her. He met her eyes and immediately read the jealousy
threatening to bubble over.

A slow, knowing smile spread across his face as he gazed at
her and totally ignored the other woman. Laurie bit her lip when she noted the
subtle color change of his eyes. She knew what that meant. He was horny. Her
jealousy turned him on.

The woman continued to ramble on and on about the latest
fashions for women, making sure to point out things she was wearing in a failed
attempt to get Mason to notice her body. Doing her best to hold her temper in
check, Laurie focused on looking at the clothes on the rack in front of her.
She picked up several different items, admired them then looked at the price
tag and hung them back up.

Mason surprised her by abruptly stepping past the salesgirl
and grabbing the clothing she had put back. He draped them over his arm and
grumbled at her.

“Quit looking at the price tags.”

Laurie sighed and then gave him the shirt in her hand. The
salesgirl looked taken aback, obviously not accustomed to handsome men ignoring
her. She retreated a few feet away but continued to watch the interaction
between Mason and Laurie. Laurie argued that he was making her pick out too
much but he ignored her, pushing her toward the lingerie.

“I lost count of how many pairs of panties I owe you,” he
murmured before she could protest. “So pick some out or I’ll choose for you.”
He picked up a sheer black thong and grinned devilishly at her.

Her face heated up and she smiled self-consciously. She
grabbed several cute but modest pairs of panties and matching bras.

Next, Laurie made a beeline for the dressing rooms and tried
on a few of the outfits she’d picked out. A few went back on the rack but the
majority of them fit perfectly.

Finally, she followed Mason toward the checkout where he
plopped the large armload of clothing he was carrying onto the counter. The
flirty salesgirl began scanning the tags on the clothes, paying more attention
to Mason than the task at hand.

Completely oblivious to her attention, Mason abruptly left
the register to inspect something on a nearby rack. Laurie watched for a moment
then shook her head and turned back to the register. The salesgirl had stopped
what she was doing to gaze lustfully at him and raised an eyebrow when she
realized Laurie had caught her. She felt that pang of jealousy again. She did
not like the woman being so flirty with Mason or the fact that she didn’t seem to
feel the need to hide her inappropriate interest in him from her. She’d clearly
heard him refer to her as his fiancée. The girl looked her up and down then
smirked.

“He looks like a handful.”
Are you sure you can handle
him
.
The last part wasn’t spoken aloud but it was definitely
implied.

Laurie mimicked her smirk and whispered, “Actually, he’s
way
more than a handful.”

The woman’s mouth fell open but before she could respond
Mason returned, carrying several pairs of the sexy, sheer panties, a red teddy and
the pink tube top along with a short pair of black shorts. Laurie looked at the
items and raised her eyebrows. He grinned at her.

“I gotta see you in this stuff but they’re for me. So don’t
get any ideas about wearing them to class or anywhere that I’m not around to
scare off all the horny bastards. You’re my woman and nobody gets to ogle your
luscious body but me.”

Laurie laughed at his possessiveness. “Wow, babe, would you
also like to tattoo your name on my ass?”

“Yes,” he answered.

Mason handed his credit card to the salesgirl, who was now
doing her best to ignore them.

Once their bill was paid, Mason grabbed the bags and led her
out of the store with an arm around her shoulder. Laurie smiled to herself. She
had to admit she’d enjoyed putting that woman in her place. He draped his arm
around her and she felt a little silly for her jealousy. Mason loved her, he
was her man and her man wasn’t interested in other women.

After a quick stop at the grocery store, they headed home.

* * * * *

When they pulled up to the house, the lights inside were dim
and the porch light was off. Mason walked Laurie to the door, unlocked it and
then guided her in. She immediately gasped and covered her eyes.

“What the fuck?” Mason choked out through his laughter.

Olivia frantically dove behind the couch and Dewayne lazily
adjusted his position and zipped his zipper before relaxing back against the
couch.

“Hey, big guy, we weren’t expecting y’all so soon.” Dewayne
reached for his beer on the coffee table.

“Sorry. I came by to see Laurie, and Dewayne and I were just
getting to know each other while I waited,” Olivia explained, popping up from
behind the couch with her shirt buttoned wrong.

“Well, did you have to get to know each other on the new
couch?” Mason grumbled, leading Laurie, whose face was still red, farther into
the room.

Dewayne grinned at them, completely unabashed.

“Think you got the energy to help me carry in the bags?”
Mason asked him.

Dewayne sighed and followed him outside.

“Damn, Laurie’s friend is a huge slut. She was on me as soon
as she walked in,” he marveled when they were at the car. “How does our girl
even know a woman like that?”

“They were roommates or some shit,” Mason said absently as
he loaded his arms with bags.

Dewayne stayed quiet. Obviously, he had something on his
mind.

“What is it?”

“I don’t know… She was asking weird questions about the
routine around here. I mean, nothing in your face but she was just creepy.”

“Creepy huh? And you still put your dick in her mouth.”

“I said creepy not ugly.” Dewayne chuckled. “I don’t know,
Mace. I think we should keep an eye on her. She just gave me a funny vibe.”

“Let’s hope that’s all she gave you,” Mason teased as they
headed for the house with their arms full.

Dewayne frowned and then shifted the packages in his arms
and adjusted his crotch before continuing into the house.

By the time Laurie and Olivia reached the kitchen, Mason and
Dewayne had finished up the job of putting the groceries away.

“My friend Sara helped me pick out the paint colors and Dewayne
did most of the painting. I’m really happy with how the new furniture works
with the colors,” Laurie was saying.

Olivia didn’t seem to be paying much attention as she moved
to the kitchen window and gazed out into the darkness. “Wow, it’s higher than I
thought. It’s like being on the second floor. You must have a basement. Can I
see it?”

Dewayne shot Mason a warning look and he cut in before
Laurie could respond.

“It’s full of furniture right now,” he told her. “Too
dangerous for you ladies to try to get down there.”

Truthfully, there was very little furniture down there. They
had given most of it away to the neighbors but if Laurie thought his lie was
odd, she didn’t show it and Olivia dropped the subject.

It was only a short time later that Olivia said goodnight.
She hugged Laurie and allowed Dewayne to walk her out to a brand-new car, which
she explained belonged to this older guy she was “kind of seeing”. Dewayne was
outside for a while then came in with a satisfied smile on his face before
heading for his spot in the basement.

Laurie and Mason finally headed upstairs, where he stretched
out on the bed while she put on an impromptu fashion show for him. His desire
grew every time she stepped out in a new outfit and then he insisted she try on
the new bras and panties as well. He was more and more ready to pounce every
time she stepped out in something new. She saved the red teddy for last and
when she performed some of the dance moves Mona had taught her, he almost lost
his mind.

He would always see that air of innocence in her and he got
off on the contrast of seeing her do something so erotic and sensual. He felt as
if he was corrupting an angel, and as sick as he knew it was, it turned him on.
He watched her for only a moment before he growled and bounded off the bed. He
caught her up in his arms and laid a kiss on her that was hot enough to melt
her bones.

“I’m going to teach you a lesson about teasing me, Angel,”
he murmured against her lips.

Mason lifted Laurie and she wrapped her legs around his waist.
He moved to the dresser, and while gripping her bottom with one hand, he shoved
away all the odds and ends that had accumulated on its surface. Still kissing
her, he sat her on the edge of the dresser and leaned her back toward the
mirror. He broke the kiss and ran his hands down her front. When he came to the
neckline of her teddy, he gripped it with both hands and ripped it all the way
down to the crotch.

Laurie let out a gasp that turned into a moan when Mason
lowered his mouth to her breast. She balled her fists in his hair and arched
her back to get closer. Mason moved lower and lower until he reached her clit
and sucked on the sensitive nub. Laurie cried out and gripped his hair tighter.
Mason lifted her legs over his shoulders and held on to her hips as he feasted
on her. Laurie’s moans became louder and more urgent. She rocked her hips,
grinding herself against his face, and then she was thrashing beneath him as
she came.

Mason rose up to look at Laurie’s flushed face and wild
eyes.

“You taste so fucking good,” he whispered.

He lowered his lips to hers and thrust his tongue into her
mouth, allowing her to taste herself. Laurie kissed him back eagerly, making
small moaning noises into his mouth, and yanked his shirt hard enough to pop
all the buttons open.

Unable to control himself any longer, Mason growled and
pulled her off the dresser, spinning her around as soon as her feet hit the
floor. He kissed the back of her neck and then ripped her teddy down the back
all the way to the crotch, leaving it in two pieces hanging off her arms. He
pushed her shoulders forward, causing her to bend at the waist. She braced her
hands against the mirror and met his eyes in the reflection.

Mason unbuttoned his jeans and released his cock. Wasting no
time, he plunged into her, smiling at the deep groan she released when he
invaded her. Gripping her hips, he drove into her fast and hard. Laurie pushed
her lower half back toward him to meet his thrusts. He watched her expression
in the mirror—she was biting her lip and her eyes drifted closed.

“No, Angel,” he said. “Open your eyes.”

Laurie quickly complied. Her gaze was hot and intense as she
watched him pounding her from behind.
