We are finished of the store and we headed to the gas station.
My asked me how we were going to get the gas out of the tanks and into the RV?
I told her that we were going to have to use hand pumps to pump the fuel out of the
tanks in the ground and that it would take us a couple hours.
Mia asked me where are we going to get the pumps?
I told her that they would have pumps and the hose. There were going to need inside
of the station. I walked up to the front door. The gas station and banged I like I did the
corner market. No one and nothing was inside and the door was unlocked. Mia was
right behind me as we walked into the station. She and I had our guns in hand, we
were going to be ready for anything.
I pointed to the counter and told Mia that the pumps were over there. I told her that I
was going over here to get the hose.
Mia, yelled over and told me that there was only one hand pump. She said the other
one was a broken.
I told her that I was fine, but it was going to take us just a little longer to fill the tank.
We went back outside. I popped the cap off the ground, slid the hose into the tank. I
connected the pump to one and I could connect the hose to the other and put it in the
gas tank of the RV.
Mia told me that she was going back into the RV to make a lunch and that she would
let me know when it was done.
I told her okay and I began to pump the fuel into the RV.

It took me 45 minutes to fill the tank on the RV. I began to fill five gas cans that I
found here at the station. I was just finishing up when Mia, yelled out the window and
told me that lunch was done.
I told her that I would be right and about five minutes. She stuck her head out the
window and said okay.
I walked into the RV the dogs are eating. Mia was sitting at the table waiting for me to
come over and eat. She made meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I asked her why she
made meatloaf and mashed potatoes for lunch.
Mia told me that she only made a because the meat needed to be used before a went
bad.
We were sitting and talking. I told her that we should be in North Carolina by
tomorrow night if we don't have to keep stopping and moving vehicles.
She said that she wished that we could get there faster so that we could be with our
daughter.
I told her that we trained our kids well. I how to survive in almost any situation.
Mia said that she never thought that zombies whatever exist and how do you prepare
to survive any type of apocalypse like this.
I told her that all the kids know how to shoot know how to find food and how to make
clean water to drink. I told her not to worry that I'm pretty sure the kids would be fine
until we get them.
Mia looked at me with a kind of a helpless look on her face and said, we just need to
hurry and get there.
I finished eating and got back into the driver seat we got on our way.

I am drive a little faster now only because I knew Mia wanted to hurry and get to
North Carolina. It was well past dinnertime. When I told Mia that we should be in
North Carolina by morning. We should be at our daughter Sabrina's house by noon.
I can see a smile come across Mia's face. I knew that would brighten her up.
Mia looked at me with her halfcocked smile and said I love you now hurry of and get
there.
I smiled and chuckled at that yes ma'am. Mia laughed and walked back to the kitchen,
she turned around and asked if I wanted a sandwich.
I asked her what she had for sandwiches?
Mia responded we have peanut butter and jelly or ham and cheese.
I told her that I would take a ham and cheese. I asked her what we have to drink.
She told me that we have beer, wine, tea, soda, Cool-Aid, or water.
I told her that I would have a glass of tea with my ham and cheese sandwich. I asked
her where she was feeding the dogs.
Mia told me that she was going to feed them a can of beef and vegetables. She also
said that one never done eating. She was going to give them a treat.

Mia fell asleep in the front seat. It was going on 6 AM and I woke her up to a her
know that we were just about there at our daughters.
Mia asked me why I let her fall asleep and why I didn't wake her when we entered
North Carolina?
I told her that one of us need to be well rested and that is why I did not wake her up. I
told her that when we found Sabrina and that we knew she was safe that I would lay
down and get some sleep.
Mia said that when we found Sabrina that she would feel a little better and that she
would let me get some rest before we headed to Georgia to find our son Bryan.
I told Mia that I would not need a lot of rest just a few hours after we find Sabrina
that we would had to Georgia to find Brian and after we found them we would head to
Florida and find Xander our youngest son.
It wasn't long we pulled into Sabrina's driveway her car and her husband's truck was
there. We got of the RV and started to head to the front door. We stopped at the porch
steps, we both had this feeling that something was wrong. I could feel my heart
pounding, sweat started to run down my head. Mia's heart was pounding her hands
were shaking as we moved closer to the door,
Mia said something wrong why hasn't she come out she had to hear us pull in.
I told her maybe their sleeping.
Mia responded sarcastically, yeah that's it there sleeping while the world goes to hell.
I told her sorry that is what I'm hoping for.
We were getting ready to open the door to the house, when we heard a noise coming
from the basement doors from outside. Mia and I ran to the doors and yelled down,
whose down there.
To our surprise, it was Sabrina.
Sabrina told us that she locked herself in the basement because her husband is turn
into a zombie. She also told us that he was still in the house she cannot get out.
I told Mia to go hear me the crowbar so I can so I can break the lock to get her out.
Mia ran as fast as she could to get the crowbar and get back to me so we could get our
daughter on the basement.
It only took me a couple of minutes to get the doors open to get Sabrina out.

We asked her if she was okay and she was bitten.
Sabrina told us that she was not bitten and that she was very hungry, she said I have
not eaten anything for three days. She was telling us that her husband Nick was bitten
four days ago when he was out getting supplies so that we could survive here. He was
telling us Nick wanted to get well we could and eventually had to New York to find you
guys.
I told Sabrina that we were heading to Georgia to look for her brother Bryan, and
when we found him we were going to head to Florida to find Xander her younger
brother before we headed off to Texas so that I could find my other two boys for my
first marriage, William and Robert.

We were in the RV. Mia was making lunch for us to eat, only because she knew
Sabrina had not eaten for three days.
Sabrina seen that we had the two dogs, she asked us where did you find the dogs, and
what are their names.
Mia told her that we found them on the side of the road and that their names were
Angel and Roxie.
I asked Sabrina there was anything that she made needed from the house. I told her
that I would go in and take care of her husband Nick and get whatever she wanted.
Sabrina told me that there was a lot of food and bottled water that Nick found that
were in the house. She told me to get all of that and when I was done that there was a
bag upstairs with all the clothing that she wanted to take.
I told Mia that when I was done eating that I was going into the house to take care of
Nick, and that Sabrina told me everything that she wanted me to get out of the house.
Mia said that she would come and give me a hand to make sure that nothing bad
happens.

We're sitting at the table inside the RV and Sabrina was telling us how Nick was bit
on the back of his neck, when they got back to the house Nick laid down in the couch
and when he awoke he was a zombie. She had tears coming out of her eyes. She was
telling us the story.
Mia told her to stay in the RV and we were done that she was going in to help her
father get everything and to take care of Nick. She also told her that once we were
done that we would bury Nick outback in the yard.
Sabrina told us that she was not going to stay in the RV that she was going to go with
us to help. She said that there was something else the she wanted from the downstairs
closet.
I said in a stern voice, I want you to stay in the RV and whatever is in the closet. I
would get it for you.
Sabrina looked up at me with tears coming out of her eyes and said that she needs to
do this, and that there is nothing mom and dad could say to make her stay in the RV.
She added that it was her husband and that she needed to take care of it herself.
I knew that there was nothing that me and her mother could ever say to her to get her
to stay in the RV we knew that she was very strong that she had to do what needed to
be done. Mia and I both knew that it was going to be hard on her that we would be
there for her.

We finished up eating and headed to the house, Sabrina reached out her hand and
told me to give her my pistol. She could see the worried look on my face as I handed
her my pistol and I told her that I would be right behind her and help her in any way I
could.
Sabrina Turner around look to her mother and told her that she would take care of
Nick herself and to stay back.
Mia told Sabrina that she would stand back let her do what she needed to do. She also
said that if you need my help that I would be here for you.
Sabrina looked at both of us and said mom and dad I love you both, but I got a do this
myself.
I opened the door for Sabrina to go and her mother and I right behind her. We were
going to let her take care of her husband. Sabrina knew that she could not do it. We
would be there to have her back.
We slowly moved from the front of the house heading towards the kitchen where the
basement door was. Nick had to be there by the door as he chased her into the
basement. She said that he banged on the door every day. We walked around the
corner of the kitchen and there stood Nick. Sabrina pulled up the pistol and pointed at
Nick head. He had tears coming out of her I said I'm sorry and I love you, and its time
for you my dear to go to a better place and rest. When she finished saying that she
shot him in the head. She fell to the floor.
Mia and I were there with her and told her that she was right now he's is in a better
place.
We picked her up off the floor. I told her that I was going into the backyard and a him
a grave so that we could bury him.

I opened up the back door to grab Nick by the back of the collar and pulled him
outside to the backyard. I headed to the shed and as I was getting ready to open the
shed door, I heard a noise like someone or something was moving around in there. I
step back I went to grab my pistol when I realized it was not there. I forgot I left it on
the counter in the house. I ran back into the house to grab my pistol. Mia and Sabrina
were standing there wondering why I came back in so fast.
I looked up at them as I was grabbing my pistol. I told him that there was something
or someone in the shed.
Mia pulled her pistol and told me that she was coming with me.
Sabrina, yelled stop and said that the noise within the shed was her cat snowball. She
says that her cat lives in there that she would go outside to the shed with us.

We headed to the shed. When we got there. Sabrina got the whole the door and as
she was opening a she was saying here Kitty Kitty Kitty. The cat jumped down on the
bench and then jumped into Sabrina's arms.
I told them that this is a go be a fun ride later with the two dogs and a cat in the in the
RV were going to go nuts.
I grabbed a shovel that was hanging on the wall and walked outside and begun

give me a hand putting him into the whole and bury him. We got them into the whole
and covered him up Sabrina made across and hung his necklace on it and said that
she loved him that she would be back when things got back to normal.
Mia and Sabrina had everything into the RV that it will we were finished we could
take off.
I told them we were going to stay for the night so we can get some rest before heading
out at first light.

The night and feel like they are getting shorter and the days are lasting longer. We
are on the road heading to Georgia going left two hours ago and we are very stopped
several times to move cars out of our way on the highway, and yelling zombies. I
figure at this rate that it will be tomorrow night before we get out of North Carolina
into South Carolina.
I yelled back to Sabrina and Mia to come to the front of the RV. I told them that I had
something to show them, that I thought was funny.
Mia came up and asked what is funny?
I pointed to a car that was sitting on the side of the road. There was a zombie stuck in
the door window with his pants down to his ankles. His ass was just flapping in the
breeze. They both started laughing so hard that they fall to the floor. Seeing this just
made are day.

I been driving now for over 25 hours without any sleep. We were just about to enter
Georgia when I noticed the gas gauge was getting low. I told Mia that I was getting
out to put gas into the RV.
She told me that she was come out and watch my back. So that I can pay attention to
what I was doing and not have to keep looking around. I was pouring gas into the RV.
When I heard bang bang bang coming from the top of the RV. Apparently Sabrina
climbed up there with her husband's rifle and started shooting zombies. As fast as she
could. We did not see them at first until she started shooting them. We went over and
looked at the dead zombies, Sabrina hit every one of them in the head.
I asked her if she has been practicing with Nick's rifle at the shooting range?
Sabrina told me that Nick has been teaching her how to shoot his rifle. She said this is
what I needed to get out in the closet. It's the one thing that Nick and I love to do
together and I wanted it to remember him by.
I asked her how much more ammo she has for it?
She told me that she had about 45 more rounds and then she was going to be out.
I told her that we need to find a gun store so that we can get more ammo and
weapons.
