I was not sure where were going to find a gun store in this small town there were
about to come to. I do know that we need to find more fuel and is much food and
ammo that we could get our hands on. Mia was looking at the map and said that there
was a military base about 45 miles up the road. She told me that it was a Marine base.
I knew that they had to have the weapons and ammo that we were going to need to
make it. But I did not know if the base was empty. Full of zombies or survivors. We all
knew that if we went there, that there could be a fight with zombies or with survivors
that don't want any more people there. We knew that we have to check it out any way.
I was trying to come up with a plan before we get there.

I had this heave feeling in my gut that we might die you we were going to get hurt,
but I knew that if I don't try it could be a big mistake. The closer we got the more
nerves I got. I could see that Mia and Sabrina were nerves also, I could see it in their
faces. I told the girl's that we need to stop before we get there and hide most of the
food so that if they are not friendly we will have food we can get to. We were about
three miles away. We found a car on the side of the road. We hide almost all of our
food in the car. We then processed to the military base. We pulled up to gate my hands
were shaking I had this not in my gut that I could not get rid of. I was just hoping that
if there were any one in there that they would not kill us.

I got of the RV and told the girls to stay. I told them that I was going to check the
gate to see if it is open. Mia called my name and before she could say anything, I said
I know be careful. She gave me this look, and if it had a bat in here hand it would
have hit me upside to head.
She said that she loved me and that if I get killed she was going to kill me.
I smiled and said that if I get killed you can kill me I would be already dead. (I made
this little laugh).
Mia said fine I will bring you back and then kill you. She had a big smile on her face
when she said it.
I grabbed my pistol from side and headed to the gate.

I walked around to the front of the RV and looked to see if the gate was unlocked. I
tried to pull the gate open, but it would not open. I thought to myself ok is not going
to open. I look to see if I could see anyone around, but the place looked deserted. I
walked around to the back of the RV and climbed up on top so I could get a better
view. I see a building off to the right and I could see what look like people sitting up
agents the wall next to the door. I yelled dawn to my wife and asked her to bring the
binoculars. It took Mia a few minutes to get them up to me. I looked to see what else I
could see. It looks like the all the vehicles were gone. Mia came up and handed me the
binoculars. I looked over to the building that looks like people were sitting at. I could
not believe what I was seeing. There were two men in military clothing sitting there
but they were dead. I could not tell if they were shot in the head but I could see that
their gut and chest were ripped open.
I told Mai what I was seeing and that it didn't look good. I slowly moved the
binoculars to the left when I saw a military man walking and it was dragging his
weapon only because it's strap on the weapon was stuck on his side arm. He turned
and I could see his face, he was a zombie.
Mia asked me what do you see?
I told her what I was looking at.

All the time we were up there Sabrina came up with her Ruger mini 14 rifle.
She asked what’s taking you both so long? I have been down there waiting to know
what we are going to be doing.
I asked her if she thought she could make that shot to shoot that zombie in the head?
Sabrina sat down and put the rifle up to her shoulder and rest the other end one her
knee and she looked down though her scope. Her breathing became shallow she held
her rifle as she let out her breath she shot. The zombie dropped the two that were
sitting along the wall got up.
I told her that there were two more and before I could finish saying it her rifle rang
out two more shots.
I looked though the binoculars and the two zombies were down. I said good shot and I
am glad that Nick taught you how to shoot.
She looked up at me and said I just wish he was here with us.
I told her that he is, he is in our hearts and in are thoughts.

I looked around to see if I could see any more, as I looked I could not see anything
moving it all looked clear. We got down and went to the gate to see if we could get it
opened.
Sabrina saw why the gate would not open, there was a long metal pipe jammed into
the rail to keep it closed. I jumped over the fence and moved it, Mia and Sabrina slide
the gate open. We got back into the RV and drove in. I headed to the building that had
the two solders by the door. As I pulled up to the building the two zombies that Sabrina
shot, one of them was still moving around on the ground. I stopped and parked the
RV, I got out and shot it right between the eyes,
I said you’re not going get up now.
We got out and headed to the door. There was writing above the door, it says (mess
hall if you can eat this and survive you will live forever) I looked over to Mia and
Sabrina and said that they wish. We laughed and before I opened the door I banged
on it first and waited to see if there were any zombies in there. After about five
minutes we heard nothing. I opened the door and there were solders sitting at the
table with their brains blown out. The smell was horrible, I pulled my shirt up to my
nose and walked in it a peers that they were bit and someone shot them before they
turned.
We walked back to the kitchen the food shelves were empty almost all of the dishes
and pots and pans were also gone.
We left that building and headed to the next one that was the armory. The door was
locked, Mia handed me the crowbar so I could break it open. I opened the door and it
was almost empty also there were a few weapons and ammo left inside. We grabbed
what was left, then we headed to the next set of buildings. It seems the building left
were the barracks. We walked up to the doors and they were chained and boarded up
and said dead inside do not open. We backed away and got into the RV and headed out
we were not going to let out all the dead military zombies.

We went back to the car were we hide all of our food, and out it back in the RV and
headed to Georgia to Bryan house to get him. We were not that far from him I think
that we would be there in about an hour or so. Mai and Sabrina were laying down to
get some rest I told them that I would wake them when we got there. The two dog's
Angle and Roxie jumped into the front seat next to me and were looking out the
windows. I looked over to them and said are you two up here to make sure I don't get
lost. I snicker a little and I kept on driving.

It took us a little longer then I thought, but we got there and as I drove into the drive
way there were a lot of dead body laying all over the place. I pulled up and parked
right behind Bryan's truck I went back and woke up the girls to let them know the we
were here. We got out of the RV and we heard Bryan yelling he was on top of the
house.
I yelled up to him and asked him what the hell is he doing up there?
Bryan yelled back down and said that he would be right down.
We walked up to the front door and headed in we met up with him just as he was
coming down the stairs. We all went up to him and gave him hugs.
Sabrina asked him where is Linda your wife?
Bryan said that she is still up there on the roof watching for more zombies.
I asked Bryan who shot all of those zombies out there?
He said that Linda and him were taking turns killing them.
I then asked him who shot the most?
He replied Linda did she out shot me a few times.
We laughed and headed to the dining room table and sat down. We told him what
happen to Nick and what we found at the military base we were at. He told us that the
military pulled out of there a few weeks ago when they knew that they were
outnumbered. He told us that the military tried to close down the town but they could
not, the zombies were biting their men and they were taking them back to the base. I
told him that they killed a few of them, but they lock the other ones in the barracks.
Linda came down and said that It was all clear out there. She sat down at the table,
andasked so what’s the plan?
I told her that we were going to head to get Xander next.
Bryan spoke up and said that we don't have to Xander is here, he went into town to
see what he could find for food and ammo.
Mia said how long ago did he leave, and when is he going to be back?
Bryan said that he should be back any time now.
I asked him do you know every place he was going, just in case if he does not come
back by a certain time, you know where to look for him?
Yes, Bryan said if he is not back in and about twenty-five minutes we need to go and
look for him.
Linda spoke up and said that we should go and look for now, he should have been
back by now he was only going to three places.
Mia and Sabrina agreed with Linda and said that let go now.

We headed out to Bryan's truck, and the girls all jumped into the back. Bryan
jumped in to the driver seat and told everyone to hold on. He pulled the to the right
and hit the gas, the ass end of the truck spun around. He pulled out onto the road and
headed in to town.
Bryan said that we will go to the little super market first.
It wasn't that far down the road it only took us about ten minutes to get there. Bryan
whips into the parking lot and pulls up to the front door.
Bryan said that Xander was here his car is right over there, as he pointed to it.
I said good we got out of the truck and went to the front door it was wide opened and
we could smell the dead. There had to be a lot of them in there with what we were
smelling. As we were walking in we heard gun shots coming from the back of the
store, it had to be Xander.
I told everyone that we need to be smart about this we just can't go running in there.
Bryan said that he has an idea, he was going to go and get Xander's car and drive it
into the store, and lead the zombies out. He said everyone needs to get up high and to
be ready to go to get him.
Bryan ran out and got into Xander's car. It wasn't long before he come crashing
through the front door. Glass and medal flying everywhere. He drove it to the back of
the store we could hear Xander just a bitching. That my car you dumb son-of-bitch.
Bryan came flying back by zombies right behind him as he leads them out of the store.

We ran back to where Xander was, he was still bitching. He spotted us and ran Mom
Dad what are you doing here. We ran to him there were a few zombies left in the store
Linda was still up on top of the freezers and she was shooting zombies left and right.
Sabrina was on the other side of her on top of the other freezers and she was shooting
zombies as well.
When we got over to him he was pissed about his car.
I told him that he needed to be glad that his brother saved his ass.
Xander said that I am glad that he saved me but he didn't have to use my car to do it.
His mother told him to knock it off and that we have bigger problems to worry about
in this world. She told him that the world is full of cars it can be replaced.
Xander said, but Mom that car was part of me, I put that car together with my own
hands, it is a classic.
His mother spoke upand said yes I know it’s a 68 rally sport cameo, you tell me about
it every time I talk to you on the phone.
He said but Mom I love that car it the love of my life.
I told him that is why you could not keep a woman you care more about that car then
them.
Bryan came back, Linda and Sabrina got down from the freezers and came over.
Before Xander could say anything to Bryan his mother told him to keep his mouth
shut.

Bryan look at Xander and said I am sorry but I couldn't use my truck if I wrecked it
most of us would have to walk home.
Xander said there were other cars out there in the parking lot.
Bryan replied yea but I didn't have any keys to start them.
They started to bicker back and forth until their mother told them both to shut the hell
up.
We headed back to Bryan's house. When we got there, the front door to his house was
open. I looked over to the RV and the door was also opened. Bryan, Xander, and
Linda headed to the house Mia, Sabrina, and myself went to the RV. We moved slowly
in to the camper I saw no one, I moved to the back of the RV. I slide open the door to
the bathroom, no was in their ether. Mia opened the door to the bed room all the
weapons were still in there. We ran to the house, to see if Bryan and the other found
anything.

We got into the house, Bryan yelled and said that they are all in the dining room.
When we got in there, William and Robert where here.
I asked them when did you all get here?
Willie said that they just got here about an hour half ago. He said that they checked
out the camper first, but no one was in there. We then came to the house hoping that
everyone was in here, but it was all so empty. We were getting ready to leave when you
all came back.
Robert spoke up and said that they thought that we might have left, we were going to
try to catch up with you.
Willie said we thought that you all were going to Florida, but to tell you the truth I
thought you were all dead and turned in to zombies.
I told him that you know it would take a lot of them to turn us into one of them. I also
asked them if they know where their mother was.
Willie said that they had to shot her, because she was bit and turned into a zombie,
Robert tried to put her down but he could not do it I had to kill my own mother. It was
hard but I got it done and now she is in a better place.

The women went in to the kitchen and said that they were going to make dinner. The
rest of us sat there at the dinner table talking. I telling them that we need to find a safe
place, and I know that their got to be more people out there that have not been bitten.
We need to rebuild the world, but first thing we need to do is find the best place to
make a safe place for people to live.
Bryan said that the school we went to; I think would be the best place to start
rebuilding.
Willie said that he agrees with Bryan the high school would be the best place. There is
a river behind the school and there is fencing around the rest of the school.
I said ok, we will head back to New York in the morning.
