"I will be more than happy to instill instruction to the Lieutenant in a way that he will remember for at least 16 cycles of Oraiya, and that is after we return to our home planet," Rylo offered, after noticing Lieutenant Zeem smirk at the thought of him replacing Private Jol in the chair.

Pulling a hammer from a hook on the wall that looked like it was made to tenderize meat (and it was), Captain Xarr walked over to the unconscious Private Jol.

"Please join me if you would Lieutenant Zeem."

Without hesitation, the Lieutenant followed his leader to the gleaming metal chair where his predecessor was seated and oblivious to his surroundings after being
indoctrinated
senseless.

Captain Xarr handed his young subordinate officer the meat hammer, and with a pleasant smile on his face, he cocked his head and gave the order.

"Strike Private Jol on the left hand as hard as you can!"

"Sir?" the Lieutenant questioned.

"It was your report that was
Lieutenant
Jol's ultimate undoing, so I think that it is only fair to the
Private,
that you are the one that wakes him up so as to avoid further charges that will no doubt result in a longer stay in this chamber, and facilitate additional digital extractions," Captain Xarr explained, as he prompted his subordinate to carry out his latest order with one more warning. "And Lieutenant, if you question my orders one more time, I promise you that it will be your toes that get kicked across this room. Is that clear?"

Moving into position to make sure that Lieutenant Zeem could see him, Rylo Kesbyoff smiled at the Lieutenant while nodding his head slowly.

With visions of himself sitting under the greenish-yellow light in the metallic recliner, Lieutenant Zeem raised the heavy spiked hammer over his head, and with as much force as he could summon from his dominate arm, he smashed the head of the tool down onto the top of the unconscious former officer's left hand.

What was left of Private Jol's good eye bulged out of its socket as he tried to scream through the thick cloth gag that had been wedged into his mouth.

"Is that a new technique, using a gag?" the Captain asked.

"Yes, it muffles the sound of the weaker ones, cutting down the decibel levels and eliminating the need for the indoctrinating persecutors or their staff to wear audio frequency protection," Rylo answered.

"Hit him again Lieutenant!" Captain Xarr barked.

The hammer fell onto the hand of the constrained ex-officer again, and again a muffled scream echoed throughout the chamber.

"Please enlighten me Rylo Kesbyoff, does not the restriction of the mouth for the purpose of lowering the decibel levels affecting the disciplinarians also impede the process of the personnel being disciplined from exercising their normal penchant for begging for merciful tolerance?" the Captain thoughtfully inquired as he once more ordered.

"Again, Lieutenant!"

As it had done twice before, the heavy hammer fell barbarically upon the left hand of Private Jol, shattering bone, and tearing through multiple layers of skin.

"Their pathetic whining and their pitiful cries for mercy are of no concern to me. If I were to give mercy to all of those that begged for it, discipline would not be able to be instilled, and rumors of my generosity would spread like wildfire through the Annunaki Confederation of planets and beyond. Those rumors would not only place doubt in the eyes of my commanders, and give a glimmer of hope to my future clients, but also propagate a firestorm of disciplinary voids of which I would be held responsible for," Rylo said, in answer to his Captain's question.

"I understand your concern, and your lack thereof, now with that said, I shall now try to get my point across to the young Lieutenant here," Captain Xarr, grunted.

"Are you sure you don't want me to teach your Lieutenant the lesson?" Rylo asked willingly, again making sure that the young Lieutenant could see him smiling maniacally and nodding his head.

"Not at this time, however, if Lieutenant Zeem fails to understand the gravity of the situation, you will be his next teacher," the Captain promised, as he glared at his newly promoted officer.

"I am sure I won't have long to wait," Rylo commented, as he too glared at Lieutenant Zeem.

Holding his hand out, Captain Xarr ordered Lieutenant Zeem to surrender the meat mallet to him.

"Hammer please, Lieutenant Zeem."

Lieutenant Zeem relinquished the tenderizing gavel at the same time his sphincter relinquished its strangling iron grip on his anus.

Thinking that he had not only dodged the proverbial bullet, but he had also had the pleasure of practicing some of the fine art of indoctrinating persecution on the innocent officer he had nefariously replaced, he shared his thoughts with Captain Xarr.

"A career in the subtle yet ever illusive art of indoctrinating persecution might be something that I might look into sometime in the future Captain Xarr."

"Well as Captain of this ship, I would not want to discourage any of my officers from expanding their horizons so to speak.

However, I would caution you or anyone considering a change in career choices not to take the leap blindly.

Therefore, as your superior I feel that it is not only my obligation, but it is my duty to help inform you of all aspects of the change in venue that you are now contemplating," Captain Xarr schooled, as he tapped the bloody head of the teaching mallet in his hand.

"Thank you Captain Xarr, any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated," Lieutenant Zeem added, not noticing the gleam in Rylo Kesbvoff eyes as he listened to their conversation.

"I am glad that you feel that way, it shows me that you have initiative and that I have picked the right Annunaki officer for the job," the Captain boasted. "Now put your left hand down on top of Private Jol's hand and don't move, or flinch, and you had better not under any circumstances scream in my ear. Is that clear Lieutenant?" Captain Xarr asked, as he raised the metal hammer over his head.

"Yes Captain Xarr," the Lieutenant answered, his sphincter muscle again gripping his rectum tighter than a gnat's ass stretched over a rain-barrel.

The pain from the hammer slamming down on the top of his hand was immense and Lieutenant Zeem's eyes protruded out of his eye sockets just as Private Jol's one good eye had done just minutes before.

However, he held his hand steady, and did not flinch. And the only noise that was heard echoing around the chamber were the muffled screams of Private Jol, as the sharp edges of the broken bones in his left hand gouged through the skin on the top of his hand, and through the palm of Lieutenant Zeem's hand as well, and of course the smug snicker of Rylo Kesbvoff of the Science Academy on Tarsa II.

"That is your lesson for today Lieutenant, and if there is a need for another lesson that has to be taught to you, the pain involved in that lesson will be raised to a level that you cannot at this time comprehend," Captain Xarr proclaimed. "Is that clear Lieutenant Zeem?"

"Perfectly clear Captain Xarr," the Lieutenant answered, holding his bleeding and mutilated hand.

"Now enough playing around, get to sick-bay and have that hand taken care of, then get back to the bridge, we have a mission to complete," Captain Xarr ordered.

"Yes Captain Xarr," Lieutenant Zeem responded, as he saluted with his right and as of yet uninjured hand.

Passing the guard and leaving the chamber, Lieutenant Zeem had no doubt that his Captain had chosen his left arm as the teaching tool, keeping his right arm intact and able to perform the proper protocol that shows respect for superior officers during a salute.

However, no matter how much he tried, he could not imagine how there could possibly be more pain than he could comprehend.

Then the graphic memory of Private Jol's dismembered toes bouncing off the top of his boots flooded back into his brain, and he no longer questioned his Captain's comments.

Rylo Kesbvoff! Where is the senior medical aid that I ordered assigned to Private Jol to prevent any premature demise on his behalf?" Captain Xarr angrily questioned his chief indoctrinating persecutor and old friend.

"She stepped out moments before you and Lieutenant Zeem entered the chamber Captain Xarr," Rylo answered, sensing his superior was in no mood for banter. "We had run out of smelling salts here so I sent her to Bay 2 to retrieve more. That is why Private Jol was not conscious when you and Lieutenant Zeem entered the chamber."

"Who did you assign to fulfill the post?"

"3rd subordinate medical aid Suni sir," Rylo quickly answered.

"3rd subordinate medical aid Suni, she is not the one that was brought up on charges of cavorting with two naked gynandromorphs at Fleet Admiral Kiiney's party celebrating the Annunaki Confederation's victory in quadrant 42 over
Krhul
the "Butcher of Tikyor" is she?" Captain Xarr asked, unable to contain a smile.

"No Captain Xarr, that was 3rd subordinate medical aid Suin, I heard she is aboard, but I don't want her on
my
staff
, figuratively speaking of course.

"You are correct, she is aboard this ship, I had her transferred from the A.S.S. Uranus (Annunaki Space Ship Uranus) to my vessel prior to lift off.

I felt she might be good for morale.

I mean anyone that was not intoxicated and would willingly, and knowingly commit gynandromorphy at a
Fleet
Admiral's party with not one, but two naked gynandromorphs is bound to keep morale high, at least at a recreational level don't you think?" Captain Xarr speculated with an even bigger smile.

"I have no doubts she will be a true asset to the wellbeing and morale of this ship's male crew members, but if I were you I would keep her away from the gynandromorphs, I hear you have a couple of the meaner ones on board, up on deck 69. Mean or not, gynandromorphs when mixed with regular Annunaki's can be quite a handful, naked or with clothes on," Rylo warned.

"I'm quite aware of the dangers of gynandromorphs.

I am holding one of them on charges of unauthorized use of its
mesmerizimic gland
in an effort to further its own agenda of receiving unlawful carnal knowledge of at least one of the male earthers.

It enraptured and then had clandestine illicit galactic interspecies sexual relations with the employer of one of the test subject group's progenitors before our experiment commenced," Captain Xarr told Rylo.

"Sickening, damn gynandromorphs!" Rylo exclaimed.

"Yes, sickening is one word for it,
yikes
is another if you know what I mean?

Anyway, that particular gynandromorph will be handed over to the proper authorities upon our return to our glorious home planet. The remaining gynanromorphs, if they do not cause any problems on the return voyage, will be drafted into further service for the good of the Annunaki Confederation in some worthy capacity, stationed somewhere on the outer planets of the Confederation's dominion," Captain Xarr assured his friend. "Meanwhile have 3rd subordinate medical aid Suin checked for parasites and tested for any and all recreational transmitted diseases that might be residual from any of her past indiscretions.

Then have her report to my quarters tonight at the earther's time of 8 o'clock pm central daylight savings time, that is, if she passes all of your tests and is found to be, let us just say,
bug free
."

"Certainly Captain Xarr, I will attend to that matter personally as soon as 3rd subordinate medical aid Suni returns with the smelling salts."

"And pick up those disjointed toes before someone slips and falls, you might as well have titanium ball bearings rolling around on the deck," the Captain ordered, as he departed the indoctrinating persecution chamber in Bay 5.

Later that day...

After a brief stint in the ship's Sick-Bay, and a couple of dozen lies later (Lieutenant Zeem couldn't have rumors of his outlandish stupidity and lesson in Annunaki discipline floating around the ship, it was bad for his image), the Lieutenant was back on the bridge of the mother ship awaiting orders from Captain Xarr.

"Captain on the bridge!" an Ensign yelled, as Captain Xarr made his way to his command chair.

"Lieutenant Zeem, report!" the Captain shouted with authority.

"Captain Xarr, I have observed that most if not all of the members of the control groups (zombies) are beginning to become lethargic and inert in the manner that their attacks are being executed.

Furthermore, the inactivity of the canine population (K-9, feral dogs), except for a few isolate incidences seems to be becoming almost epidemic, if you will pardon the pun sir," Lieutenant Zeem, reported.

"Your recommendation Lieutenant Zeem?"

"Captain Xarr, I recommend that the genetic differentiation sector found in the DNA of the main constituent of the chromosomes that abounds in all of the species that are germane to this operation be altered to better fit the dynamic criterion of our experiment, to help insure the success of our main mission to this planet," the Lieutenant answered abruptly. "Similar to the adaptations that were made at the beginning of our mission which slowed the physical decomposition process in the control groups.
