Melody’s Desire

Melody ran her index finger softly over the rim of Jonathan’s ear as she nibbled, kissed and teased his lower lip with her lips and teeth.  She noted with pleasure that his eyes had darkened to a deep violet, just as she had planned.

“Jon-ny, do you love me?” she softly purred the silly question.

With a slightly hungry moan coming from his throat, he held her hand to his stomach, thus not allowing her to go where she wanted with her fingers.  “You know I do Mel.  Now, stop teasing me and let’s make love!”

       He was
almost
where she wanted him to be, emotionally.  So, she nibbled his ear lobe some more as she whispered huskily, “Well, let’s see if those exciting, enticing alien genes you have all over your hunky body will happily make us a sweet, little baby girl.  Okay?”

He flipped her over onto her back and stared down into her startled eyes.  With a laugh, strained, but still a laugh (darn it! Melody thought) he said,  “Melody, my wife, my love, my sweetness, you are not still trying to trick me into that are you?”

She frowns up and exclaims, “Awww, Jon!  Please, please, pretty please!  A sweet little baby girl with your brains and my – uh, and my, well, my something, would be a great gift to this world and you know it!”

He places her hand where she’d been trying to reach and he’d held her back.  “Let me think about it, while we have some man and woman, husband and wife, lover to lover time.  Now, sweetheart, don’t mention it again.  I’m thinking, okay?”

She knew he was going to put her off again.  He always did.  Had been for the past three years, since David was born and she almost died.  With what he was doing to her, making her almost crazy with desire, she doubted he was actually doing any real thinking.

He was H’traeian.  Their cute and manly males control the conception as well as the sex of the baby, with just a single thought during copulation.

Jonathan’s continued real fear of losing her during pregnancy or birth was now just a silly phobia, or so Melody had long ago decided.  Their people had discovered how to monitor and regulate an earth woman to prevent any problems.  She knows this because she had been the first.  However, he, her beloved Jonathan, continued to decline her that one gift.

He constantly tells her that not even being twenty-one yet and already a grandmother should be enough, for the time being anyway.  His fear of losing her had become obsessive, he knew it, but couldn’t help himself.  He would die if he ever lost her.

She was right, he “thought” his way through the whole mating session and ended up with a “No, not right now.  Maybe later, sweetheart.”

Melody snorted with irritation, though her body was wonderfully and completely sated.  She stretched like a cat and stared at his back as he bounced out of bed and walked his handsome self into the bathroom to shower.   She’d try another tactic next time she decided with a smirk and a nod of her head, as just how she would do it began to form in her mind.

Their son David had grown at an excessive rate, many years to Earth’s months.  Before Melody was even used to him no longer nursing he seemed to turn into an adolescent, then suddenly, almost with the blink of an eye, her baby boy had become a full grown man.  A hybrid of half Human and half H’traeian made for a fantastic male.  Everyone said so.  Rather those in the know.  Which wasn’t even Melody’s mother or brother.  Since the Royal wedding when Melody’s family discovered she was wedding a prince (Jonathan is a Prince, like his dad, back on their home planet) and was told he came from some obscure island off of
New Zealand
, they hadn’t visited but a couple of times.  And that was before Melody’s body revealed her pregnancy.   No way could they reveal to her mom the truth of David’s heritage, she would freak out!  Or so Melody was convinced.

Oddly, her mom met a nice middle-aged business man.  They quickly married and moved all the way to
California
.  Her brother was given an excellent paying job that took him out of country, to
England

Melody was surprised that these strange but good things happened with her mom and brother within one
mont
h of their marriage.  Jonathan denies having created these situations, but Melody isn’t so sure.  Although Jonathan has never lied to her, he’s as truthful as an Angel, she thinks, she still knows he is an excellent manipulator.  Just look at how they met and she fell head over heels in love with the rascal.

Their son David is now a wonderful husband and father himself.

Her best high school friend Mary, met and fell for, rather Bonded with, Mark, Jonathan’s friend and second cousin.  It is their daughter Elizabeth who married David.  Both of the “children” are far higher in intelligence than any of Jonathan’s other people.

When others were allowed to return home, with their new hybrid families from Earth, Mark stayed by his Prince’s side and helped, as always.  He and his family had chosen to remain on Earth when most of the other men left for their original home planet, H’trae.

Jonathan remains busy with his research.  His science team works in an underground lab beneath their large beach home.

David became an almost overnight success as a physician who has developed cures for many of the human diseases, using only materials found on Earth.

His wife Elizabeth has become world renowned for her breakthroughs in her own medical research discoveries, as well as her inventions.

       Mary, Melody’s BFF and
Elizabeth
’s Earth mom, continues working on her clothing designs that she’s sold in
New York
and in shows all over the world.  Though she travels very little these days.  She’s hired  excellent representatives who are busy doing her shows for her.  Mark simply couldn’t stand her gone for more than a couple of days at a time and she felt about the same.

Melody eventually found herself getting bored with
her
everyday life.  She wasn't bored with Jonathan by any means.  Her problem seemed to be a feeling of being left out.  Everyone around her was brilliant, while she was simply smart.

She started her interior designing again, it was her talent, and she’s made a small fortune (which she didn’t need) selling her and Mary's furniture, drapery and cabinetry designs.  It simply wasn't enough.  She wanted more excitement in her life.  Melody mulled several ideas over in her mind, then came up with one that she felt they could all have fun with.

Melody had noticed the past few months that David and Jonathan look to be about the same age, twenty-three to twenty-five would be a very close guess for the average person looking at them.  David's fuller lips and curly hair, like her own, were the
only
differences between the two men.  Even their personalities were identical.  They loved to joke around with Mark and one another.  Actually the three were comrades, each treated the other as an equal.  H’traeians age much, much slower than Earth people do.  Since the day Melody and Jonathan were Bonded she’d been given an elixir that would slow her own aging to almost match her husband’s.

Jonathan tried to explain his relationship with David to Mel one day.  He had a deep love for David knowing that he came from his loins, but he also knew David was a man almost identical

to him.  This put the Father-son thing in another part of his thinking, most of the time.  The three men shared everything together.  Jon thought nothing of telling David or Mark about some new technique he tried on Melody.  When Melody found this out she was outraged.  That was simply not proper!

Jonathan asked David to have a talk with her to perhaps explain things better.  She seemed depressed over David’s rapid maturing.

“Mom, Dad asked me to have a son-mother talk with you.”  David said this as he stretched out his long muscular legs on the porch balcony while half laying on a lounge couch, like his dad often did.  Melody and he both gazed at the ocean waves rolling onto their private beach.

“I thought that those talks were forever gone, David,” Melody remarked with a quirk to her lips.

“Well, I have to keep reminding myself when I'm around you, that you
are
my mother.  It's a difficult task though at times.  It’s because I look and feel older than you, Mom.  But I've kept trying because I knew it would make you happy.”

David looks to see how she was taking it thus far.  Her forehead had a worry wrinkle on it.

“Mom, Dad doesn't make me feel those kinds of restraints.  With him I'm myself, just David, a man who knows he enjoys life because of him and you, but also just another close friend like Mark.”

“Just a close friend, huh?” she asked with tension in her voice.

“It's hard to explain.”  He went on, “It's more like Jon's my twin brother and you're just his mate or our sister, when I think about it.  The only time I call him Dad is when I'm talking about him with you or occasionally to the family.  Anything but calling him Jon feels odd and weird to me lately.  I guess it's because with all the media attention Beth and I have grown used to referring to all of you as brother and sister-in-laws.  We've had to be so careful.”

Melody understood that problem, “Yeah, I know.  It always breaks my heart to tell a reporter the same thing.”

“Mom, face it, I'm actually Jon's age and that's several years your senior.  When I look at you . . . I see a woman . . . that I love deeply!  It's not too much unlike the love that Beth and I share, but on another level.  Not sexual.  I honor and adore you.”  He saw the shocked look of surprise on her face.

“When I matured, I changed inside as well as out.  Jonathan is your bonded mate.  Beth is my bonded mate, Mark is Mary's and we also all share a very special love with one another.  A love that is unlike any on Earth or on H'trae for that matter.  Just as a man and a woman can form an unbreakable bond, really close friends form a similar bond.  Each of us would willingly give our lives, if need be, for the other.”

Melody nodded agreement.  This much she could certainly understand.  However, for her son, even if he
was
older than her, not to think of her as his mother was very disturbing!

“Mom, the genetic makeup that we share is more distant than if we were sixth cousins.  With us, the male's genes are unusually dominate, once they have used the added material received from the female, they assimilate it, use it, then almost destroy all of it in the process of mutation.  It's like needing a tiny little spark to start a forest fire, the end result is no longer anything like the original tiny spark.”  He saw that she was starting to allow what he was trying to tell her soak in.

“Mom, I'm almost a clone of Jonathan.  So naturally, what he would find beautiful and stimulating, I have the same basic reaction.  Oh, I know that I'm a physician and Jon's more of a scientist, like Beth.  That's because I made a conscious decision to become one, for personal reasons.  My I.Q. may be a little higher than Dad’s, but in all honesty, their methods of testing were originally inadequate.  I've corrected them.  Jon's is only slightly, I repeat slightly, lower than mine.”

Melody was letting all of this sink in, though reluctantly.  Her son now wasn't really her son?  “David, then you can't love me as a mother?”

“Yes, I love you as a mother!  That love is deep within my soul, but it's different than you might understand.  I love you as the woman who I know gave her all to raise me first, then as the bonded mate to Jon last.  Aside from that, I might add, I see you as an extremely talented and wonderful, exciting, nurturing woman.  I have the deepest respect for you that I could have for anyone, ever.  So does Mark.”  He began laughing when he mentioned Mark's name.
